What Pride Had Wrought
When you return to Skyhold from Adamant, your advisors will inform you that Corypheus's armies have been seen around the Arbor Wilds, but they're not sure what the enemy is searching for. Morrigan will join the conversation and tell you that she believes she knows what Corypheus is looking for and would like to show you first hand.
You'll then head off with Morrigan and she will show you her Eluvian. She'll take you through it and you'll get a cutscene where she'll explain the Eluvians to you. Morrigan believes that Corypheus is looking for another Eluvian in the Arbor Wilds and believes that the Inquisition needs to get to it before him.
If you're ready to gather your forces and march on the Arbor Wilds, then you'll need 50 power to unlock the mission on the War Table. However, before you head off on this mission, make sure you have completed Cullen's quest, "Before the Dawn", or Leliana's quest, "Under Her Skin". You should have triggered these already from talking with your advisors in Skyhold previously. These quests are interesting to complete and will teach you more about Sampson if you sided with the Mages or Calpernia if you sides with the Templars.
Samson Nemesis Quest - Before the Dawn:
For the first part of this quest, Cullen tasks you with finding three red lyrium smuggler letters in the Emerald Graves. So head to the Emerald Graves and go to the quest marker locations on the map while this quest is active. When you find the three letters bring them back to Cullen at Skyhold.
Cullen will then inform you that the Red Templars main supply of Red Lyrium is located in a quarry near Sahrnia in Emprise du Lion. You will then need to head to Emprise du Lion and deal with the Red Templars in the quarry there. You will need to use the search function while clearing the quarry to find some of Samson's letters. Note: If you have already cleared the quarry before being tasked to do so by Cullen, then there will be a War Table Operation for you to complete, "Investigate Sahrnia Quarry", and you won't actually have to head back to the quarry in Emprise du Lion.
After you're done with the quarry part, return to Cullen at Skyhold. Cullen believes the best way to deal with Samson will be to find a way to destroy his armor. You'll then need to go and speak with Dagna in the Undercroft. After your conversation with Dagna, a new War Table Operation will be available, "Finding Samson's Weakness". Complete this operation and then go talk to Cullen again. This will unlock yet another War Table Operation that needs to be completed, "Track Down Samson". Go and talk to Cullen again when this is done.
The last part of the quest involves travelling to the Shrine of Dumat. Cullen tags along with you as well. When you get to the Shrine of Dumat, you'll realize that Samson already anticipated your arrival and the camp has been destroyed. Fight through the Red Templars that are left there until you finally find Maddox, Samson's tranquil. Speak with Maddox and he'll tell you he poisoned himself in anticipation of you coming so that he wouldn't have to give out any information on Samson. Talk to Cullen next. You'll then need to search around this area for three clues. There's a hidden note, empty bottles of red lyrium, and Maddox's lyrium-forging tools. Return to Skyhold and talk with Cullen one last time. Dagna will jump into the conversation and give you a rune that you'll be able to use to destroy Samson's armor and make the upcoming fight with him a joke.
Calpernia Nemesis Quest - Under Her Skin:
For the first part of this quest, Leliana will task you with finding a merchant named Vicinius. It appears that Calpernia and her band of Tevinter zealots have taken a keen interest in the merchant. Head to Val Royeaux and go to the docks area. Vicinius's house can be found here. You can find some papers in the first room of the house and then you will have to kill some Venatori upstairs. You'll need to use the search function up here to find three crystal pieces. You can also find the body of poor Vicinius.
Head back to Skyhold and bring the crystal pieces to Leliana. You'll then need to go and speak with Dagna in the Undercroft. The crystal pieces formed together are actually a memory crystal. You'll then need to go and complete a War Table Operation, "Plant Crystal in Venatori Headquarters". When this is completed, go and talk with Leliana to listen in on the Venatori. You'll then need to go and complete another War Table Operation, "Investigate the Elven Ruins".
Go to the world map and travel to the new location - The Shrine of Dumat. There is a side quest you can complete while here called Corypheus's Memories. Throughout this small area are six red glowing crystals that you can use the search function to find. Each time you find a crystal, you'll be privy to some of Corypheus's musings. Fight through the demons in this area until you come upon a door guarded by a Pride Demon and a couple of other demons. Heading through the door, you'll find Magister Erasthenes stuck inside a magical barrier. Speak with Erasthenes and he'll tell you that he is bound to Corypheus. He'll also inform you that Corypheus plans to bind Calpernia to him once she becomes the "vessel". When you're done talking with Erasthenes, you can choose to kill him, keep him alive, or make him tranquil (if you're a mage). This choice will have different approval consequences with each party member. I chose to free him from his pain, but choose as you will.
Back at Skyhold talk with Leliana again. She'll be a little upset with you if you chose to kill Erasthenes, but either way, you now have valuable information that you can use against Calpernia. Calpernia was a slave and if you tell her what Corypheus has planned for her in the upcoming battle you can get her to abandon the fight completely. Easiest boss fight ever!
Arbor Wilds
Now that you have your Nemesis quest completed, you can level up some more by doing some sidequests or if you feel ready enough, select the "What Pride Had Wrought" mission from the War Table. You'll get a nice long cutscene and at the end of it you'll find yourself in the Arbor Wilds where Inquisition forces are already taking it to the enemy.
In the first encampment area, you can speak with Josephine and the present ruler of Orlais. You're goal right now is to head to the first blockade. The Arbor Wilds is quite a linear area, just like Adamant, so just move along towards your present quest marker. It's really hard to get lost . As you run along you'll encounter Inquisition forces fighting off enemies. It's up to you, you can either help out and engage the enemies or just keep running along and skip them all. Eventually you will come to a waterfall area with some bridges. The enemies here won't notice you coming so you can get the jump on them. Position your ranged guys up on the bridges and take everyone out in this area before moving along.
You're next goal will be to get to the second blockade. On your way, you will arrive at a Red Templar/Venatori camp where you will need to defeat the enemies. Be very careful here as there are stealthed elven sentinels here. Deal with these sentinels quickly as they can be a real pain. Search the camp (there's a supply cache here) and then continue on. You can either head straight to the second blockade or you can take a right and head East to explore some ruined elven archways and find Leliana along with another supply cache. Whether you explore or not, you will eventually get to the second blockade and then ultimately head to the gates of the Temple of Mythal. Cullen and some troops will be fighting outside the gates. There's also one last supply cache in this area as well.
Temple of Mythal
Once you enter the temple, you will get a cutscene. Eventually Corypheus's crazy dragon will come along and you'll run across a bridge and end up blocking yourself off from the dragon further inside the temple. You will be in the Outer Courtyard of the Temple. Explore the area and get some codex entries. When you try to head through the gate further into the temple, you will be blocked off. You'll have to complete a ritual first before you can pass through the door. There is an altar with tiles that you must step on. When you step on a tile it illuminates. The altar is a puzzle. You must step on each tile once without touching it again. Walk through the altar correctly and it will unlock the door.
When you get through the door, you will run into either Samson or Calpernia again. They'll set their lackeys on you while they jump down into a chasm. Kill the enemies, but don't follow them down the chasm. Morrigan will inform you that she thinks you should follow the petitioner's path to gain entry into the temple. This involves solving three more altar puzzles. There is one alter to the West and two to the East. There are also more codex entries in this area. Solving the altars will enable you to ally with the elves in this temple instead of having to fight them along with the Red Templars/Venatori. I've posted a YouTube solution showing the puzzle solutions:
Now that the puzzles have been solved, proceed through the door to the Inner Sanctum. When you enter, you'll get another cutscene and meet the elves who guard this temple along with their leader Abelas. Speak with Abelas. If you've done the rituals, then you can convince Abelas to help you defeat Corypheus's forces in the temple. He'll also give you a guide to lead you through some of the temples secret passages, which avoids all the enemies. If you did not do the rituals, then you will have to fight the eleven sentinels. You'll also have to find your own way through the temple while having to kill everyone.
If you're following the guide, then you will eventually stop outside a door. Go through the door to find the elves fighting off Corypheus's forces. Join in with them and kill the enemies. After they've been defeated, head through a door to the South to get to the Well of Sorrows. When you go through this door, there will be a supply cache for you to use. MAKE A SAVE HERE! Saving here will allow you to load this save back up after you beat the game. Depending on your choice that is coming up at the Well of Sorrows after this nemesis battle, it will determine whether you have to fight a dragon or not. If you make a save here, then you can pick the choice where you don't have to fight the dragon on Nightmare mode and then load this save up after you beat the game, make the other choice and beat the dragon on easy. It's up to you. But this makes it really easy.
Move ahead, down the stairs, and you will finally catch up with Samson/Calpernia.
Samson Boss Fight
If Samson is your nemesis and you've complete the side quest "Before the Dawn", then you will get a dialogue option when speaking with Samson to destroy his armor. This makes your fight with him pretty laughable. On top of that, if you've allied with the elves, then Abelas will come along with his great maul and pound on these guys alongside you. Samson likes to use some close range AOE attacks so if you have your other characters spread out he won't really hit you. When his health drops a certain amount, he will do this yell that stuns everyone and he ends up growing. He'll do this 2 or 3 times in the fight. When you finally take away all his health he shrinks back down to normal size and you can have him taken back to Skyhold for judgement later on.
Calpernia Boss Fight
If Calpernia is your nemesis and you've completed the side quest "Under Her Skin", then you will have special dialogue options where you can tell Calpernia that she's been fooled by Corypheus and he plans to bind her to him. You can show her the binding ritual and she'll stand down. If you tell her to return to Tevinter, then you can avoid a fight with her completely. If you haven't done the side quest or just feel like killing Calpernia, then you'll have to fight her and some Venatori. Calpernia is weak to cold-based attacks. Take out her retinue first and then unload on Calpernia. Personally, I would just skip out on this fight altogether...
Well of Sorrows
Following the fight with Samson/Calpernia, your party will automatically run to the Well of Sorrows. Abelas will run ahead of you, but Morrigan will get to the well first. You'll note that at the opposite end of the well is in fact an Eluvian. There are several ways things can go down at the well. If you sided with the elves, then Abelas can be convinced to allow one of you to use the well. He'll tell you that using the well will impart knowledge of all the previous servants of Mythal. However, doing so has a price. You will be forever bound to the will of Mythal if you choose to drink. If you didn't side with the elves, then Morrigan will kill Abelas before he can destroy the well.
When Abelas leaves, you will have a major decision to make. Should you, the Inquisitor, drink from the well or will you allow Morrigan to drink. Drinking from the well is the key to accessing the Eluvian and thwarting Corypheus's current plans. Morrigan is adamant that she should be the one to drink from the well. I'm pretty sure this decision will have repercussions further on in this series so make your choice wisely. Because you've saved before facing Samson/Calpernia, you can let Morrigan drink from the well and let her deal with whatever consequences may fall. This will also allow you to avoid a boss fight with a dragon in a side quest. If you want the Inquisitor to drink from the well, then you will have to do the side quest involving the dragon. Personally, I figured Morrigan can deal with the drama that will result in the future from having drunk from the well, but too each their own I guess...
Decide who will take "the drink" and then you'll get a great cutscene. You've clearly pissed Corypheus off (YAY!).
You'll eventually arrive back at Skyhold through Morrigan's Eluvian and she'll seal it off. You'll head to the War Room where Cullen will inform you that Corypheus and his forces retreated from the field when you and your party went through the Eluvian. This scene will now unfold differently depending on who drank from the well.
If Morrigan drank from the well: She'll inform everyone that she knows how to stop Corypheus. The dragon is the key. If the dragon is killed then Corypheus's ability to jump into other bodies will be interrupted and he will be vulnerable. She also knows how to go up against the dragon.
