Alright so the way the walkthrough works is that there are 4 areas. In each area, we do the main quests and then the side quests, and pick up any equipment we come across. If you want basic controls and level up suggestions they are on page 2. You'll find a link to a video of my playthrough at the beginning of each area if you need a visual aid. The descriptions have a list of links to certain parts, if you need something specific. I'd suggest going into options once you've started a game and changing the difficulty to casual if you are just here for the score. The battles get pretty tedious and normal isn't much of a challenge either.
One last thing, dialog choices. If a certain response is required I'll mention it and if multiple are required you'll find the first thing you say followed by the rest with > in-between them. If you reach a dialog choice where I give no indication of what to say, it means 3 things.
1. There's only one option.
2. The answer is obvious (i.e. agree to help always).
3. The answers are color-coded. Always answer blue (nice responses), aside from one character I'll tell you about when you get her.
Faery Realm
Start a new game and choose whatever you want for your character. After all the talking, fly toward the fairy ahead of you, then fly to the top of the nearby tower. Once the scene ends talk to Oberon. Behind him is a chest with the Bracelets of Iron. This tower has 4 levels total, the 2nd from the bottom has a chest with Boots of Earth. If you face the chest you just picked up and turn right and go to the edge of the tower, you'll see the town area.
Head to the small beach to find Aziel by some goblins, go up to him and talk to him. You can choose the battle tutorial if you like but I'd suggest just skipping it unless you are new to turn-based RPGs, the combat is pretty familiar for anyone who has played them before. While on the beach face the water and look left, you'll see a cave with some lights going into it. These lights are used to signify entrances to dungeons or quest objectives. When you enter you'll talk to Aziel and then level up, and you'll be brought to the level up screen. You'll see a bunch of options named after parts of the body, each slot can only have one upgrade, so when you select one and see a few options, you have to choose between them. Most of the slots are locked out until you reach a higher level, though.
The cave is basically 3 fights, 3 treasure chests, and a boss. The path is 100% linear so you can't get lost. The first chest has the Headband of Iron and some potions. The second fight has crabs, these guys are weak to Aziel's lightning discharge, so he should always use it against them. Your character should use fireball. Physical attacks don't do much damage so just use magic against crabs.
In the next fight you'll face crabs and goblins, just have Aziel throw magic at the crabs and your main character attack the goblins with regular attacks. The chest just has a bunch of potions. Note that after this fight you should level up and you now have 2 actions points instead of one. The next fight is nothing special, have Aziel deal with the crab and your character handle the small goblin, then double team the big goblin. The chest has the Bracelets of Fire. At the end of the cave is an egg, search it for the game's first boss fight.
Attack the giant crab with your spells until it summons help. Have Aziel focus the crab, and your character attacks the goblin. Once the chump enemies are down throw spells at the crab again. After it loses about 2/3 of its health it will summon a crab, have both characters hit it with spells to kill it in one turn. Continue attacking it until it dies. If need be you can choose "objects" and use the care items to heal your characters, but that shouldn't be necessary. You'll get an achievement after beating the crab.
Faery warriorYou have defeated the giant crab and his sidekicks in the dragons' cave.
If you've been answering nicely then Aziel will give you the Headband of Healing after the conversation about the egg. Leave the cave. Return to Oberon (top of tower). Talk to him about the egg. Now talk to Arachne (she's in the village below Marilou, on the same level as Marsyas) and ask her about "companions". Check the chest behind her in between the 2 houses for the Clothing of Healing. Now head to the plateau with mirrors and talk to Bert. Choose to attack when the option pops up. Have both of your characters use magic. You might need to heal depending on how often your characters miss. Afterward ask about companions > then pages > then agree to help.
Ask Bron the fisherman about "pages" (his house is far away from the tower on a hill, it's all by itself), he will ask for a favor, agree to do it. Below his house is a little dock with a net, you can find the pixie you need to fight there. Physical attacks don't do much so just use magic. Now head back to Bron, and then head to the rock sitting in the ocean near the beach. You'll see some lights, press A next to it. Have the woman who appears get the page.
Talk to Mariliane and ask about pages. Now head to Arachne and ask about the torn page. She will ask for a favor, say favor? > sure. Now talk to Marilou and ask about "pages" (use information option). Head to the seagull nest near the mirrors, closer to the ocean. Choose to distract her, then go talk to Bron, ask about fish. Now go back into the cave and head deeper until you find some goblins, choose "potion". Now head back to the seagull, if you look on the rocks below where it is facing you'll see a rock with lights on it, press to distract it and then grab the page in the nest. Return to Bert. In the fight have your fairies use magic and Bert use physical, his rock attack doesn't do much damage to these enemies. He will give you the Bracelets of Water afterward. Talk to Oberon to get an achievement.
Head HunterYou have fulfilled Oberon's first mission. You can now discover the other worlds.
Go to the tower and talk to Mariliane on the 1st level to get a quest, head to the beach and kill a crab. Also fight the group near the chest to get the Bracelets of Healing. If you go to the road leading to the beach and follow it west you'll find a chest with potions guarded by some fairies, blast them with magic. Return to Mariliane to get the Headband of Fire. Go out of the tower through the hole behind her and look down on the rocks near the water, you'll see a chest with enemies around it and the Boots of Iron inside. Follow the rocks left past the seagull nest to find Chugfly sitting on a ledge. Ask questions > cousin > then agree to help.
Now talk to Marsyas, who is near Arachne and the trolls, down the ramp by some buildings. Say Questions > Arcadia? > Tell me more > Nymph Laughter. Now head to Manon the mermaid (near the rock we summoned her to before) and ask about questions > arcadia > Marsyas > Why?. Now head to Bron's hut and face the wooden path that leads to it. To the left is a coast, follow it to find a bottle of water and two fairies. Just hit them with physical attacks and then take the bottle of water with . Now go the seagull and press . Now go talk to Marsyas. You'll get the Weapons of Healing. Go to Mustard Seed (he is near Marilou) and say questions > troubled > trolls > reward and agree to help. Now go to William and Tom and say seeds > fight. You'll get an achievement for talking to them.
ExplorerYou have encountered all of Avalon's inhabitants and you have spoken with all of them.
You'd think they'd learn by now, use magic as always...return to Mustard Seed to get a bunch of potions. Now head to the mirrors and you'll see the one with a tree is fixed, go up to it and press to go to a new world. You can return to the tower with the mirror if you want later on.
Yggdrasil Tree
You'll be in a conversation with Puck, when you have different choices choose Really? > Hornets > Chase them out. If you look straight up and fly up you'll see a big beehive kind of thing near the top of the tree, lights are at the bottom of it going toward the entrance. This hive is much like the cave from the first area, there is only one way to go. Look for the hole in the room (typically near the top), go through it, repeat. You'll fight a ton of hornets on the way, they all resist physical attacks so just have everyone use magic. The queen hornet is a pushover. Continue using magic and use healing items if necessary. After defeating her don't choose the leave the hive option, stay and check the chest in the room the queen hornet was in for the Bracelets of Air. When you exit the hive you'll see a group of wasps in front of you, and one below them, defeat both groups.
Now you need to talk to White (she is near Puck and the portals, her house is on a platform connected to the tree) and mention "hornets". Now you need to go in the termite nest on the other side of the tree, go around the left side and you'll find some termites near a chest, beat them up and take the Headband of Enhanced Iron. You'll also encounter a group of wasps while going around the tree, fight them. Just past the wasps is the entrance to the termite nest. Every termite but the soldier termites are weak to physical, all of them are strong against rock, so just have Bert attack and the other two use whichever the kind of termite you are fighting is weak against.
The first fork doesn't matter, the chest just has a potion. The next fork does, take the right path to find a chest with the Clothing of Air. The left path leads to the queen. She appears to have no weaknesses, and is strong against rock. After you kill her allies she will take two turns to summon more, all you can do is do as much damage as possible before she summons them and then repeat the process until she dies. After the fight make sure to stay in the nest to open the chest nearby and get the Bracelets of Electricity.
Now talk to White to get the Clothing of Fire. She should mention waste, you'll find it by a red barrel looking thing at the base of the tree. Press on the lights and then talk to Grim about his raccoon. Answer Help > Errr... and agree to help. Now head to Elba the Beekeeper (on a platform at the same height as White, on the opposite side of the tree). Mention hornets to get Weapons of Earth, you can mention termites if you want some potions. Now about Questions > Rocky Raccoon. Then talk to him one last time and choose "dig". Right above him on a platform is a chest with the Boots of Fire. Now go to White and ask Questions > Tears. Now we need to talk to Red. Her location is very hard to describe. Basically if you follow the tree straight up until the base of the tree breaks off into a bunch of branches, you'll find Red's house straight ahead on a platform. Talk to her and say Story > Ok > Start > Wondrous Land > Without War... > Prince and Princess... Now go talk to Grim. Talk to Grim again (he is now by the mirror) and say "raccoon for digging"
Talk to Puck and mention hornets to get the Boots of Healing. Then talk to him again and mention digging. Now look for Chugfly's little house by an anthill, it's on the ground level kinda near the tree. Talk to him and mention "waste". Now talk to one of the 3 people by the waste and say "start" for a boss fight. Weak against magic, strong against rock and physical. Just blast it with magic except for Bert, who should use physical attacks. It can heal itself but you should have no problem outdamaging its heal. After the fight you'll get the Clothing of Earth. Now fly up above the tree and look for the house with a lamp next to it, it's a bit higher then the hornet nest. Talk to Faberge and mention "birds". Now go back to where all the diggers were to find the barrel with a rope, press at the top to send it away. Return to Faberge and say the tree is "saved" for the Boots of Enhanced Healing. Talk to him again and mention "egg", the screen will show you the place to check, it's to your right and lower than Faberge's house. After you check it return to Faberge and say "pattern", then go back to the nest and put the egg there. Open the chest in the nest for the Headband of Water.
Now go talk to White and say Problem > Harm Him? > I'm off. Go back to Faberge and ask about the egg, it should have hatched, say "replace no one" at the end. Afterward talk to Faberge again and say "bird". On the ground level you'll find a bird by Puck, press on it to send it away and then talk to White and say "bird" to get the Weapons of Physical Resistance. You can talk to White again and mention "waste" for some potions. Now talk to Faberge and then exit the conversation and he will ask for a favor, say Ok > Violence? > Ok. Now go talk to Galadrielle, her house is above Elba the Beekeeper. Ask about "calm the faun". Now go to the very top of the tree to check the highest leaf, then look for a nest (if you pan the camera around you should be able to spot one) and get a feather. Return to Galadrielle and say ingredients > where is he. If you turn left you'll see 2 branches shaped like a V, go between them and then look down to find a faun by a chest, talk to it. Then open the chest for Clothing of Physical Resistance.
Return to Faberge and mention "blue paint" to get the Headband of Physical Resistance. Now go back to Galadrielle and say You look worried > You're blushing > Who is he? > Help? > I'm off. Now go to Gargamelle, who is near White on the platform below her and talk to her about "cake". You'll find the fern in question near Chugfly's house, return to Gargamelle and then go to Puck and say "Your Help" to get the Weapons of Enhanced Physical Resistance. Now talk to him again and choose "gift from an admirer". Now return to Galadrielle and mention "Puck" to get the Headband of Air and an achievement.
Now fly around the outer edge of the ground level (near the "clouds" you can't go through) to find some termites by a chest, beat them and open it for Boots of Physical Resistance. Now talk to Chugfly and mention "waste removed" to get the Boots of Enhanced Iron and then talk to him again and mention "Chugflea". Now go into the mirror to return to the Faery Realm and talk to Oberon for an achievement.
IncorruptibleYou have restored magic to the Tree World and saved its inhabitants from corruption.
Now enter the mirror with a ship on it.
Flying Dutchman
Choose to attack when the option pops up. The ghost is really strong against physical, kind of strong against magic, but weak against rock. I mentioned earlier that one character likes red responses instead of blue, and the character you meet after the fight is that person, Amareta. When talking to her, always use the red responses when they show up. This doesn't change choosing the blue responses for everyone else though. After the fight choose "help" when it pops up, and then choose to "replace Aziel" when the option appears to replace him. Now head down one level of the ship to find a door with a pirate next to it, talk to the pirate. Say Fighting > I saved a Korrigan > Hold? > Cunning. Now you want to go down another level, you'll see a wooden grate with a hole inside it. Go through the hole and then turn 180 degrees and go forward and to the left to find a door, press on it. If you turn around you'll see a chest with the Bracelets of Enhanced Iron inside it.
Go back up through the hole in the deck and look around for a wagon, in the back is a chest with the Clothing of Enhanced Physical Resistance. Now turn left from the chest to find 2 characters you can talk to. The one that is higher up is Chugbee, talk to him and mention "Chugflea". Talk to him again and mention Hold > Korrigans > Help. Turn around 180 degrees and go to the other side of the ship to find some gunpowder. In the opposite corner of this level of the deck is a cannonball, get it. Now return to the door you checked earlier to find Chugbee, talk to Grut and then talk to Chugbee and say "gunpowder and cannonball". Now there will be a hole in the door, enter it. Inside you'll find a group of enemies in front of you, and 2 in the level below (go through the hole in the floor) talk to the Korrigans that don't attack and after you've talked to them all you can go back through the hole in the door to leave.
If you follow the wall on the right you'll notice a window close to the door, go through it and look down to find the Korrigans. Talk to the middle one and say Shipwrecker > Cure. Now turn around and you'll see a bunch of rocks, in the ocean in front of the rocks are mermaids, you want to talk to the one that doesn't have a black "aura" and say Questions > Seaweed. If you look behind her you'll see a torch, and by that torch is Clam, talk to him and say Questions > Vials. Turn left and go to the other big rock platform or whatever to find Limpet, say Questions > Eggshell. Return to the middle Korrigan on the side of the ship and say Shipwrecker > Cure. Now you'll have a boss fight. Just pound the boss with physical attacks, and have your character use healing wave every other turn to keep everyone healthy if you need to. He doesn't seem to have a lot of health, so the fight probably won't last for more than 2-3 turns. After you win talk to the middle Korrigan on the side of the ship and say "saved". Now talk to the pirate by the door and say "plague over" Now you need to talk to the "figurehead" this is the wooden face on the front of the ship. You'll enter a boss fight when you are near it.
She appears to have no weaknesses or strengths, so just go to town with physical attacks. Every other turn have your character use healing wave, and use the "care" potions to heal if necessary. For some reason she seems to be the strongest enemy in the game. After she is defeated go back and talk to the pirate by the door and ask about Mutiny > Force Them. Talk to the other 3 ghost pirates on the other levels of the ship and choose to attack them, then defeat them. Afterward head to Senta (Figurehead) and talk to her and say "Appeased". Now talk to the captain, who is now located by the door with the pirate we've been talking to, he's the one wearing a hat. Ask him about "problem". On the level of the ship behind him is a pedestal with a book, search it and talk to the pirate by the door (i.e. not the captain) and ask him about "Mermaids". Now, go back out to the ocean and find the "black" mermaids again, the ones with the dark aura. Talk to the far right one (if facing them) and say Ship > Leave the Ship > Attack and then defeat her. Defeat the other 2 with black auras and then talk to Melusine (the one that doesn't have the aura) to get the Weapons of Water. Now talk to the captain and say "Leave".
Head over to Clam on his rock island and he will give you the Weapons of Enhanced Healing. Talk to him again and say Anxious > I shall take care of it. Turn to the left a bit and fly straight up, you'll see the seagull in question, approach to attack. Just use physical attacks then return to Clam and say "Seagull left". Talk to Limpet on the other island and say whatever, then talk to him again and say Questions > Hermit > Riddles > OK. The first "riddle" is on top of the highest rock, which is on Clam's island. Just go to the rock and press , it has the usual lights to get Bracelets of Enhanced Fire. Return to Limpet and say "First clue". Now you need to check the highest mast on the ship, which is the middle one for Boots of Water. Return to Limpet and say "second clue". The 3rd one is a bit harder to find. Limpet is looking at a rock, you need to go around the left side and look for 2 holes that could be considered eyes, the clue is in the left "eye". You'll get the Clothing of Enhanced Electricity. Return to Limpet and say "final clue".
Talk to the pirate by the door (not captain) and say "Help". Now go into the hole to go below deck and head opposite the way to the door to find a troll and a chest in a corner. Defeat the troll (weak to magic , strong to physical and rock like the trolls in the first area) and open the chest to get the Boots of Enhanced Physical Resistance. Go back up through the hole and go through the partially opened door on the side the wagon/Chugbee was on. Turn right and follow the wall to some barrels, fly over them and in the middle you'll find a troll, check the chest afterward for the Headband of Earth. Now go back through the door and go to the opposite side of this level to find another partially opened door, go through and go in the back of the room to find a troll on the left side. Check the chest for the Clothing of Enhanced Healing. Now go back to the pirate by the door and say "trolls dispatched". Go in the partially opened door farthest from the pirate and check the boxes in front of the door for the Boots of Enhanced Earth.
On the same level as the captain you'll see a pedestal with a Korrigan, talk to it and say A Problem? > Help. The first group of enemies we need to defeat are on the balcony on the back of the ship (not on the actual deck). Defeat them and check the chest for the Weapons of Electricity. The second set is behind the real figurehead (not Senta) on the front of the ship. They are under the mast, so follow it down and you'll find them. Apparently I cut it out of the video, sorry...Afterward return to the Korrigan on the pedestal and say "the gnomes are gone". You'll get an achievement.
PirateYou have put an end to the troubles of the inhabitants of the Flying Dutchman.
Return to the Faery realm and talk to Oberon for an achievement.
Guide of soulsYou have set the Flying Dutchman on its way and saved the magic in the world.
Now use the mirror with the picture of a palace.
Scarab City
After the conversation turn the camera until you see chughopper, a dude in an orange turban, ask him about "Chugflea" and then say Questions > Ruins. Now fly into the air and look for a temple looking thing separated from the rest of the town, approach the road to it for a scene and a fight. Use magic. Afterward "replace no one" to keep the same party. On top of the temple behind the pointy thing on the top is a chest with the Clothing of Enhanced Iron. Now go into the temple and talk to the high priestess and say "Speak to Sacred Scarab". Now if you fly up you'll notice the city sits on a giant scarab, if you fly under it you'll find the poor district. Talk to Ibrahim (male fairy on one of the platforms) and say Vermin > Provocation, just use magic in the fight. After the fight talk to the Sphinx, he is also on a platform in the poor district, looking out to the ground (he looks like a sphinx, wings and a lion's face or whatever). You'll get the Boots of Enhanced Electricity. Head back to the high priestess and say Access to the Sacred Scarab > Speak to the Sacred Scarab > Please > Attack. Use magic and then after the fight you'll get some scenes.
Now go to Chughopper and say Questions > Sacred Scarab's problem > Carry on... > Ifrit. To Chughopper's left you'll find Sinbad just up the street, talk to him and say Questions > Ifrit. If you fly straight out away from the Scarab and look down you'll see a platform with a chest, it has the Bracelets of Enhanced Water. Now you need to enter the cave. On the scarab's left side (your right if you are facing him) is a little wooden platform that leads to a cave, it is surrounded by its black scales. The entrance is right above the scale. The enemies here are ghouls, just use magic aside from Bert, who should attack with physical attacks, as they are very strong against rock. The path is linear for awhile, and then you'll find a group of ghouls to your right, that lead to an alcove with a chest that has the Bracelets of Enhanced Physical Resistance. Keep going and you'll find a fork, take the right path to find the boss Ifrit. Use magic, though obviously not with your main character. Have him/her use their physical attack. After the boss is dead make sure to stay and then check all the 4 lights in the back of the room for stuff. You'll get the Boots of Enhanced Air, Bracelets of Enhanced Air, Boots of Enhanced Water and some potions. Now leave the cave and talk to the Sphinx, who is sitting on the Scarab's horn to get the Weapons of Enhanced Electricity.
Now go to the poor district and talk to Abu Hassan and say Questions > Sacred Scarab's Thirst. Now go to the top of the town and talk to Ali and say Questions > Julie the Peri Weaver. Now go to Chughopper and look to his right to find a big fox on top of a building, talk to it. Now you have to return to the cave, go to that last fork, and instead of going right to the room Ifrit was in, go left and go straight to find the genie. Check the chest behind him for the Weapons of Enhanced Air and then talk to the genie and say you are here to "free Julie". Use magic to beat him.
Return to Julie (the fox, who now isn't one) and talk to her and say "magnificent fabric". When facing her, if you look to the left you should see the typical lights on top of a stone pillar in front of you, go to it and press . Follow this outer wall all the way around the city and you'll find 5 more spots like this, then talk to the Sphinx. Now go to Chughopper and ask about "favor" and agree to help. Now go back to the cave and then go all the way to where the genie was, right before where he was on the left is a little alcove with the vase, you'll have to fight some mummies. Use magic, your fire will do a ton of damage here. After the fight check the lights on the coffin or whatever it is and head to Chughopper to get the Bracelets of Enhanced Earth.
Now head to the poor district and talk to Douban and ask why he is "troubled". Next head to Al-Chamandal at the very top of the city and say "plants". Now return to Douban to get the Boots of Enhanced Fire. Now you want to talk to Morigana, she is to Chughopper's right (your left if you are facing him) up the street, about the same height as Julie. You'll get an achievement.
DiscovererYou have encountered all the Faery folk in all the worlds.
Ask her about being "sad" and then say "I promise" when it pops up. Now go to Sinbad and ask about "Morigana's Husband". Now go to Al-Chamandal and ask about "Morigana's Husband". Now talk to Ali and mention Morigana's Husband, and when you get the choice say "ok" to get the Headband of Enhanced Earth and an achievement.
CollectorYou have collected 60 items of equipment distributed around the Faery worlds.
Go back to Morigana and say "yes". Now talk to Abu Hassan and say "troubled". Now fly to the scarab's butt to find some flying things, fight them with magic and then go back to Abu for an achievement.
EmirYou have helped all the inhabitants of the City of Mirages.
Now head into the mirror and return to the Faery Realm. Now go to Chugflea and mention all his cousins to him, then go to Arachne and talk to her to finish her quest and get an achievement.
Make a save here, as we are about to finish the game. If you want to do anything for some odd reason you'll need a save to go back to. Once you've saved go to Oberon and talk to him for an achievement.
Spirits' friendYou have brought water to the sacred Scarabaeid and found its true path.
Enjoy your derp ass ending
Congrats on your 100%!
