This walkthrough is intended for those who are just looking to boost their Gamer or True Achievement Scores. None of this information will help you on any other platform or any other version of this game. This will only work for Fallout 3 (PC). For those of you who want actual advice to play through the game, it is suggested you go to the Fallout 3 Walkthrough
*Spoiler Alert* This walkthrough will reveal ABSOLUTLY NOTHING about actual gameplay, plot, and story for Fallout 3 and/or Fallout 3 (PC). You will be just as ignorant to every aspect of this game (except what the main menu looks like) as someone who has never even heard of this game before.
Every game available on Games for Window LIVE (GfWL) has its own system requirements in order to run properly. The following are the minimum system requirements needed for Fallout 3 (PC).

Processor: 2.4GHz Intel® or 2.4GHz AMD

Video Card: 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 6800 or ATI Radeon™ X850

*Money Saving Not-So-Pro Tip* Whether you have the Games for Windows LIVE (GfWL) downloaded version or the Disc there is absolutely no reason to buy the DLC. Following this guild you can unlock all 72 achievements with only the purchase of the retail game.
Disclaimer: For those of you who are wondering…In NO way, shape or form is this any version of hacking or gamesaving. Your gamerscore will NOT be reset nor will you have to worry about the TrueAchievement Investigation Team labelling you as a cheater. This is a feature that was intentionally left available to the public in this game by the developers. Why they did this? I have absolutely no idea. Maybe this is the one time developers tossed achievement connoisseurs a bone for all the times they have created near-impossible achievements, or maybe they forget to turn this off before publishing the game. Either way, I say… WHORE ON.
- WARM UP & STRETCH – Forearms, hands, and fingers muscles will be used exclusively to complete this game. While knuckle cracking is optional, finger games such as “Where is thumbkin”*, “Eensy Weensy Spider”*, and “Baby Bumble Bee”* are strongly encouraged before making an attempt at this mammoth task. *see video’s below if you are not familiar with these finger games.
- SPELLING, SPELLING, SPELLING – If there was one time in your life that correct spelling is a must it is now. If you remember some the basic spelling rules in English you should have no problems. For those of us that might need the friendly reminder… Repeat after me:
“I” before “E” except after “C”
- "DUMBER THEN A DOORNAIL" CHEAT SHEET - If you are worried that you might not remember the spelling rule, plan on “playing” this while you are TOTALLY SMASHED, or you are like me and tend to FREAK OUT and screw up when you know you are about to unlock an achievement, I suggest a cheat sheet. Get out a sticky note, or Post-It note, and write the following down….
addachievement
Attach this sticky note to your monitor or somewhere close to you keyboard so you can follow along. The post it can really help to take that unnecessary pressure off so you can just enjoy the game.

Troubleshooting
As with any game on the PC there may be problems with the game for the most part the solutions are out there to avoid the majority.
When going for cheats the IDE controller must be uninstalled to prevent any issues with the command line '~' key. For windows 7 this is found in the Control Panel>Device Manager>Human Interface Devices. Expand this and scroll down until you find the infrared transceiver this can must be unistalled by "Right Clicking and selecting Unistall" click OK. Now launch or re-launch game and the tilde key should show up when tapped on the main screen. The controllers will reinstall themselves and no permanent harm shall be caused by doing this.
Microsoft GFWL Software should automatically install when you try to sign in or on launch just use the email account and password you signed up for XBL with. No problems should occur here as long as the internet is fine so just go ahead with this.
Now for the selection of controllers these can be either keyboard/mouse, wireless controller using adapter or a wired controller. For the most part the keyboard has the advantage however if you are used to xbox 360 controls go ahead with the controller option.
Alrighty boys and girls, time to get started. We are going to begin at the beginning because it is a very good place to start. Please refer to the Hints & “Not-so-Pro” Tips to make sure you are fully prepared for this task. For those having a hard time following along… No worries. I’ve added a video walkthrough at the end for your viewing pleasure.
Step 1 – Insert disc and boot up Fallout 3 (PC). If you haven’t installed Fallout 3 (PC) you will be prompted to do so. This is about a fifteen minute process and most likely will require a re-boot of your PC once completed.
If you have the downloaded version from GfWL you can skip the “insert disc”. Depending on your internet connection, downloading and installing the GfWL version can sometimes take upwards of a few hours. However games downloads can be paused and resumed at any time, so find a time when your internet has the least amount of usage for minimum download time.
After installing there is an update for the game. Again, your PC may re-boot after downloading this update.
Step 2 – Sign in. This is probably the most important step to insure that the achievements unlock on the correct profile.
Step 3 – Wait for the game menu to load. This process shouldn’t take too long but the stretches and warm – ups found in the “Hints and Not-so-Pro Tips” page are a great usage of time.
Step 4 – Access the console command by hitting the ~ button on your keyboard. This button is usually found on the left side of the keyboard above the “Tab”, below the “Esc”, and to the left of the number “1” buttons.
Step 5 – Type in…
addachievement 1
and hit the “Enter” button
*NOTE* There is no space between the word “add” and “achievement”. However there is a space after the “addachievement” and before the number.
Step 6 – Rinse and Repeat Step 5 changing the achievement number. For example…
addachievement 2
addachievement 3
addachievement 4
…
You’ll want to continue this process through the final achievement which is…
addachievement 72
This will unlock the following achievements:
ReaverReached Level 8 with Bad Karma
DevilReached Level 30 with Bad Karma
MessiahReached Level 30 with Good Karma
Bog WalkerDiscovered all locations within Point Lookout
