Let's Play!

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Classic Edition is a retro-futuristic parody of the 1980s media that was created to be a stand-alone expansion of Far Cry 3. It is an open world game, packed full of action with different weapons and giant lizards, known as Blood Dragons. You play as Sergeant Rex "Power" Colt and work through the story to defeat the rogue Colonel Sloan.

My Experience

This game was super fun for me. Like in most open world games, I saw the map and started to get a little overwhelmed at what to do first. A friend of mine said he did all story mission first and then cleaned up, so I followed that advice. The story was interesting enough and the combat was fun. It definitely feels like an arcade version of a Far Cry game. I enjoyed how short the story was and even the collectible gathering wasn't as irritating as it could have been since I saved the garrisons for last. Both times I played I had to reset the garrisons and clear a few more for enough money to buy all attachments, but I have heard from some friends that they didn't have to do any extra when they finished to buy them all. Overall, the game can be played however you like. If you want to do the story missions first, then go to the next page and follow it from there. If you want to clear all of the garrisons first and grab the collectibles and then do the story, go to the next page, follow to the point of clearing the first garrison and then go to page 2.
