You will only need to do 1 playthrough in order to collect a large sum of the single player achievements in Fracture. However you may be required to replay certain levels to finish off some miscellaneous achievements, and pick up any collectibles you have missed.
I will provide a guide telling you where all the collectibles are in the game, and also point out where you will likely get certain achievements whilst you are playing the campaign. A video guide showing you where all the Data Cells are located will also be provided for each level. Credit for the videos goes to Kill3rCommando...
Note: My description of the Data Cell locations might not be as accurate as the video guide is, since I may do them in a different order. When you go for the collectibles, please decide if you want to use my written guide or the video guide. This walkthrough gives you a choice.
Go ahead and start a new game on Hardcore Difficulty. All difficulty achievements stack in this game, so you won't need to do multiple playthroughs for that circumstance.
You'll also be attempting to find all of the Data Cells on this playthrough as well. There are 100 Data Cells in total, and not only will they give you achievements, but they will also give you some minor benefits which will help you later on in the game.
Act 1: Level 1: Alcatraz
There Are 8 Collectibles In This Level
This first part is a Training Area. You will be shown how to use the Entrencher Gun, how to use weapons or grenades, and how to create platforms using your weapons. The training area also contains Data Cells which need to be collected as well.
Collectible 1: You will be shown how to use Grenades in the game. Once you know how to use them, to the left of the Training Area there should be two pillars next to each other. Lower the ground and then go in-between the pillars. You should then see a gap with the collectible inside.
You will then be given this achievement for finding your first Data Cell.
Collectible 2: After you have destroyed the Shed with the Rocket Launcher, drop down in front of it and turn around. You should see an opening which you can access if you lower the ground with the Entrencher. The collectible will be there.
Collectible 3: Run pass the blown up shed and look at the back corner on the right side. The collectible should be tucked in the corner.
Open SesameYou have successfully opened a physics or hinged gate for the first time in single player.
You will be shown how to use Spike Grenades. Spike Grenades create pillars and you will be instructed to throw one underneath a flat surface and you'll create a ramp. If done correctly, you'll create a path for you to go up to and you'll get an achievement. This is story related.
Collectible 4: Shortly after the Spike Grenade part you'll be shown how to use the Sniper Rifle. You will have to aim at 2 objects. Once done, you will then be told that you will have to meet in the Landing Zone area. It'll be through a doorway. Do not go through yet. Instead go left of the doorway and you should see a broken wall on the left side. The disc should be around that area. This is the last collectible in the Training Area.
Note: If you are missing any collectibles around the Training Area, you can always look around before you go through the doorway where the carrier lands.
Collectible 5: You will have to protect an ally soldier by using your Entrencher and creating some dirt. Run to the other side and kill the enemies here. Now create a platform with the Entrencher and jump up to reach the top platform with the data disc on top.
Collectible 6: You will have to destroy some barrels and then drop down to a lower level. Kill all the enemies here and then use your Entrencher to reach the platform at the bottom left side. The collectible is down the far corner.
Collectible 7: You will have to head back outside and you should see a broken wall which will take you to the outskirts. Drop down and then turn left immediately. The collectible should be there.
Collectible 8: Run down to the opposite side and you should see a building. Use your Entrencher to raise the ground and climb up to the second floor. The collectible should be on the right side nearby a large hole. Destroy the barrels along the way to prevent the enemies from blowing you up.
You will be tasked with holding off the area you are based in until the dropship arrives. When it does, run to it and you'll hop in and complete the mission. You'll be given this achievement as well for completing the first level in the game.
Act 1: Level 2: Dropship Down
There Are 8 Collectibles In This Level
Collectible 9: As soon as you start the mission, turn around and look behind the dropship.
Collectible 10: You will have to fight a large group of enemies which are located down a slope area. After you have defeated them, head to the building on the left side. The collectible should be seen on a ledge. Use your Entrencher to grab it.
Collectible 11: You will be instructed to destroy an AA Gun. Once you have destroyed it. Use your Entrencher to get on top of the roof. The collectible will be there.
Collectible 12: There will be a collectible on a high platform around some ruins. Use your Entrencher to raise the ground to the highest point, and then either climb up using the building pieces or use a Spike Grenade to raise a platform which will put you in front of the collectible.
Collectible 13: Nearby there will be an enemy using a machine gun inside a bunker area. Go inside the bunker and kill the enemy. The collectible should be in front of you.
Collectible 14: You will have to go through an underground tunnel shortly after the previous collectible. The collectible will be in the right corner in a square area.
Collectible 15: You will have to blow up a dropship to continue the level. Use your Entrencher to get rid of the dirt and then go inside the dropship to find the collectible.
Collectible 16: You will see the collectible high on top of a building that is situated on a hill. Use your Entrencher to raise the ground to the highest point, and then use a Spike Grenade to raise a platform which will put you in front of the collectible. You may need to perform a big jump in order to get it.
Combat EngineerYou have successfully raised/lowered a bridge for the first time in single player.
At some point along this level you will be given this achievement. It requires you to destroy a spike pillar that's preventing you from crossing the bridge.
Along the way you should be given this achievement since at the start of the game, a lot of enemies will be using this weapon.
Dead AimYou have accumulated 25 headshot kills.
Chances are you will also get this achievement as well, since you will likely be aiming for headshots as well.
The Dragon Breath is a Turret machine gun, and there is one that is located on this level. Simply hop in it and acquire 25 kills to get the achievement. There are plenty of other Turrets in the game so if you cannot get this achievement here, then you've got plenty other opportunities as you progress in the game.
Act 1: Level 3: Conveyor Times
There Are 11 Collectibles In This Level
Collectible 17: After clearing out the room you're based in, you will find some Spike Grenades. There will be a black platform on the left side, and some dirt on the ground. Raise the ground and then use a Spike Grenade to create a spike platform. Jump onto the black platform and you will see the collectible around the corner of the platform.
Collectible 18: When you are on the 2nd conveyor, you will be taken into a different room. Jump off the conveyor and you will notice the collectible in a corner on the left side. Be aware that this room will be infested with a whole load of enemies.
Collectible 19: When the conveyor reaches its ending point, head to the right side and stand on the dirt. Use a Spike Grenade to get yourself on the upper platform. The collectible should be in plain sight, but be careful because this area will also have a load of enemies.
Collectible 20: Defeat a group of enemies and then go into the next room after them. You will see the collectible on another platform. You may need to use a Spike Grenade to reach it, or attempt to jump off from the top.
Collectible 21: You will need to re-activate the conveyor. When you have done that, enter the next room and you will see the collectible on a long platform. There will be some dirt on the left side of it, so raise the ground and use a Spike Grenade to reach it. You'll have to aim carefully with the grenade because the spike platform might go underneath the long looking platform, making it impossible for you to jump from the spike to the platform... or even crushing you to death.
Collectible 22: In the next room, jump off the conveyor and then head left and you should see a ramp. Follow it and it will lead you to another long looking platform. The collectible will be on the right side of the platform near a door.
Collectible 23: At the end of the conveyor journey, you will see the collectible behind some crates.
Collectible 24: You will end up in an area which has some green doors in front of you. The collectible is on the left next to the left-most green door.
Collectible 25: After you get a message saying "Evacuate The Facility" if you look up, you will notice a collectible on top of a ledge. Raise the ground and then use a Spike Grenade to get to it. Try and do this in between the 2 ledges or you may get yourself stuck or crushed.
Collectible 26: You will see this collectible on a yellow crane. Go underneath it, raise the ground, and use a Spike Grenade to get it.
Collectible 27: You will need to take a dropship to access the next area. Whilst you are in the ship look to your left and you should see the collectible on the edge of the cliff. Drop down and then run to the left to grab it.
Clap On/Clap OffYou have successfully used a TD switch for the first time in single player.
This is a story related achievement, as you are required to perform an action which unlocks this achievement.
There is a possibility that you might receive this achievement during this level, since this gun can be found in a couple places.
Act 1: Level 4: Dreadnought Tower
There Are 9 Collectibles In This Level
Note: The player who did the videos may have some collectibles where he is shooting an orange looking item. This is because the player has already picked up the collectible during previous sessions.
Collectible 28: You will eventually find a tower, and to the left of it you will see some Spike Grenades along a path. Head down this path and you will see the collectible around a small corner.
Collectible 29: You will have to go up a hill, and you will see a room which you can enter. You will need to raise the ground and use a Spike Grenade. Head into this room and you will see the collectible nearby some crates.
Collectible 30: You will head to a trench looking area and the collectible will be on top of a hill. You will need to raise the ground and use a Spike Grenade to reach it.
Collectible 31: The collectible will be on top of a platform and below it will be where the Bangalore Rocket Launcher is. Jump up onto the platform above where you're standing and then jump again to grab the collectible.
Collectible 32: You will have to destroy a dropship and defeat a whole group of enemies. On the right side of the area, you will see the collectible. Raise the ground and use a Spike Grenade to reach the collectible. Worst case scenario you can attempt to jump over using the other platform.
Collectible 33: You will find a hollow dropship and you will see a group of enemies on a ledge nearby. There will be some explosive crates so be careful. The collectible is behind the explosive crates.
Collectible 34: You will eventually have to head down a path which has a arch overlooking it. It will also contain a group of enemies and some rocks. Use your Entrencher to reveal the collectible on the right side where the rocks are. Avoid the rocks since they can crush you.
Collectible 35: Down the metal walkway, there will be a collectible on top of the roof on the left side.
If you have managed to find all of the collectibles up to this point, you should receive this achievement for finding 35/100 in total.
Collectible 36: Not far from that collectible, you should see some Spike Grenades if you continue moving forward. Jump over them and turn around. Use your Entrencher to lower the dirt to reveal a collectible.
There will be a part in this level where there will be a Vortex Grenade pick-up box and a group of enemies will be around a circular area. Throw the Vortex Grenade in the circle and hope that 5 enemies will be sucked in. If done correctly, you should receive the achievement. If not, either wait until you do a 2nd play-through or kill yourself and try again.
This weapon is common in this level so there is a high possibility you will get this achievement.
This weapon is used a lot by most of the enemies. You will likely have to take one of these guns since you will be eating up a lot of ammo on this play-through. If you don't get this achievement by the end of this chapter, then you will get it later on.
There will be a part in this level where you'll encounter the Hydra enemies. These enemies will jump around and shoot you, and then jump away again. Sometimes they will shoot in mid-air. To get this achievement, you will need to kill 5 of them whilst they are in mid-air. The achievement is cumulative, so it counts across all your games played. You can either use an explosive weapon or pick them off with a rifle. If you fail to get this achievement, either try it again on another play-through, or kill yourself and try again.
Act 1: Level 5: Dreadnought
There Are 7 Collectibles In This Level
Note: The player who did the videos may have some collectibles where he is shooting an orange looking item. This is because the player has already picked up the collectible during previous sessions.
Collectible 37: You will be assigned a mission to "Assault The Golden Gate Bridge", and not far from that and the voice broadcast will be a half open pipe tunnel. Lower the dirt to reveal the collectible inside the tunnel.
Collectible 38: High up on the Golden Gate Bridge you will see a tower. First you will need to destroy it, and then you can use a Spike Grenade to create a ramp underneath it. Once that's done climb up your newly made ramp and you'll see the collectible on the left side of the crane structure. You might need to time your jump right.
Collectible 39: You will see the Dreadnought destroy a dropship. To the left of where the destroyed dropship is will be some trees. Keep running to the left of the trees and you will see the collectible.
Collectible 40: When you reach the Dreadnought, there will be a ramp with some trees on the left side. The collectible will be on top of the hill.
Collectible 41: Underneath the Dreadnought, you will see an item which is sticking out saying "Caution". The collectible will be on top of it.
Collectible 42: The collectible will be among a broken building with some trees surrounding it. You will need to get on top of the roof of the building to get it.
Collectible 43: When your extraction arrives, before you go on it there will be a lonesome building in the area you're fighting in. The collectible will be behind it.
You will likely get this achievement sometime before the end of the level. There are a few Rocket Launchers around in the beginning part of the game, and you may need to use one to blast certain enemies and equipment in order to continue.
This will be the final level in this act, earning you two achievements. This is the longest Act in the game.
Act 2: Level 1: Genetic Research Base
There Are 12 Collectibles In This Level
Note: The player who did the videos may have some collectibles where he is shooting an orange looking item. This is because the player has already picked up the collectible during past play.
Collectible 44: As soon as you start the mission, turn around and you should see the collectible on top of a large crate. Jump onto the small crate and then jump again to reach the collectible.
Collectible 45: You will see the collectible high up on a ramp. Clear the area of enemies and then raise the ground and use a Spike Grenade to reach the top part. You should be able to walk across the platform and reach the collectible.
Collectible 46: It will be underneath a group of pipes on the right side, after you have triggered a cutscene.
Collectible 47: After destroying the Generators head to the next area. Avoid the newly bug enemies and look around before you go through the next door. You should see the collectible in a corner next to a generator looking item.
Collectible 48: When you get the mission "Destroy The Radar Array", look to your left. You should see a ramp looking item and some enemies shooting underneath. If you use a Spike Grenade, you can lift the ramp and access the part where the enemies are. Kill them and turn around. The collectible will be on the left side.
Collectible 49: On the other side. You should see a collectible high on the upper part of the building. The easiest way to do this is to throw a Spike Grenade again, but this time you will need to jump on the ramp and allow it to rise to the top. It should put you in front of the collectible, might need practice. I suggest you eliminate all of the enemies first.
Collectible 50: You will be introduced to the Lodestone, and a platform which can only be moved with that weapon. If you stand on the platform and look down, you should see the collectible on the ground. You'll have to grab it quickly because bugs will appear.
Collectible 51: Eventually you get to a point where you'll see some platforms that require a Lodestone to continue, but you can also go one floor below. Head down the slope and you should see the collectible on the left.
Collectible 52: Use the Lodestone and the platforms to get to the collectible. You should see it standing in the center of the platform.
Collectible 53: You will be introduced to the Shield Buster, and the collectible will be on top of a roof-looking platform on the left side. Climb up using the dirt, spike grenades and pipes to eventually get on the platform that contains the collectible.
Collectible 54: After destroying the Shield with the Ball, look to your left. You should see the collectible on top of the building. Use the crate to jump to the area where the collectible is.
Collectible 55: You will be required to take out another Shield with the Shield Buster. When this happens head to the building on the left. You should see a big opening. Go inside and then look to your right, the collectibles there.
This is a gravity weapon. You will need to use this gun in order to lure the platforms closer to you. It can be used as a weapon as well, since it will make enemies lose their gravity and fly around where you want them to go. So chances are you will naturally get 25 kills with this gun.
This level contains another Turret. There are some more areas you can try this achievement on, if you didn't manage to earn it earlier.
Here is a good opportunity to get this achievement. Whenever you see an enemy, simply jump up as high as possible and press and hold the button to perform a Stomp Attack. If you kill an enemy, you will get this achievement.
Act 2: Level 2: Recon
There Are 20 Collectibles In This Level
Note: The player who did the videos may have some collectibles where he is shooting an orange looking item. This is because the player has already picked up the collectible during previous sessions.
Collectible 56: At the start of the level you will notice a platform to the right. Use your trench jump to land on the cylinder platform, and then jump again to reach the collectible.
Collectible 57: You will be given a mission "Locate The Alliance Reinforcements". Eventually the bridge you're on will break and you will fall down. To the right you will see toxic waste the collectible on the opposite side.
Collectible 58: When you're in the vehicle you will come to a part where you will have to make a tight turn and a building will be on the left side blocking your way. The collectible will be on this building. You will need to trench jump in order to get it.
Collectible 59: Travel a bit more with the vehicle and after you have gone through another ramp, there will be a collectible up on the right side on the platform. Raise the ground and use a Spike Grenade to get it.
Collectible 60: After driving further along, you will come to a part where you will see a platform in the middle. Drive a little more and you will be able to climb up on the building where the platform was. Trench jump and backtrack all the way along to get the collectible.
Collectible 61: Not far from the previous collectible, there will be a ledge which contains this collectible. Trench jump to get it.
Collectible 62: After you have driven a bit more, you will get to a part where you'll see a dropship. The collectible will be in there.
Collectible 63: It will be in a building nearby a toxic lake. Defeat the enemies first before you grab it.
Collectible 64: You will find a gate looking area which you need to take the vehicle through. On the left of this gate is another ledge. Raise the ground and then trench jump to reach the collectible.
Collectible 65: There will be a part where as you drive along, you will see a ramp looking part that looks like a dumpster. You will need to raise and sink part of the ground so that you can get inside and reach the collectible.
Collectible 66: You will be placed in a toxic tunnel (use your Entrencher to raise the ground and prevent yourself from consuming toxins). Make two left turns and you will see the collectible.
Collectible 67: You will enter a large room which contains toxins and a lower area. Drop down and turn round. Go on the left side and follow the tunnel to reach the collectible. Watch out for the toxins and use the Entrencher.
Collectible 68: Whilst you are escaping with the vehicle, there will be a bridge area with the collectible on top. Raise the ground and trench jump to get it.
Collectible 69: Not far from the previous collectible will be another bridge on the right side. Use your trench jump.
Collectible 70: An enemy will be shooting you from a ledge. The collectible is by this enemy.
Collectible 71: There will be another ledge on the right side not far from the previous collectible. Trench jump to get it.
Collectible 72: You will find this collectible in a broken bunker area. It'll be on the left side.
Collectible 73: You will be required to create a ramp in order to get across to the next area with the vehicle. Once you have done that, trench jump to the small tower on the right.
Collectible 74: You are required to do some sniping. The collectible will be on a lower platform on the left side.
Collectible 75: Before you finish the mission, run to the other side of the final area and then go inside the bottom part of the small building. The collectible will be there.
You will likely need to use this gun in certain parts of this level, so it'll be no surprise that you'll get this achievement along the way.
Deathrace 2161You have successfully killed 25 enemies by running over them with the TDV-1.
This level contains a vehicle which you will need to use most of the time. It's called a TDV-1 and to get this achievement you need to run over a total of 25 enemies for the achievement. Killing them with the turret does not count towards the achievement.
At the end of this level, you will have completed the 2nd Act earning you these 2 achievements. This is the shortest act, but it contains the most collectibles.
Act 3: Level 1: Washington DC Intro
There Are 10 Collectibles In This Level
Collectible 76: Around the beginning of the level, there will be some enemies shooting at you from a building on the right side. The collectible will be inside the building in a corner on the ground.
Collectible 77: Nearby this building on the opposite side is another building. It'll be on the second floor.
Collectible 78: You will cross a metal walkway, at the end will be a building which has the collectible sticking out on the right corner.
Collectible 79: The collectible will be on a broken part of a highway platform. Raise the ground and then use a Spike Grenade to get it.
Collectible 80: Nearby the previous collectible will be a broken building. The collectible will be on a lonesome piece on the second floor of the building. Be careful because you will be ambushed by enemies in this area.
Collectible 81: You will get to a part where you'll find a building that looks like a Library area. It'll have a load of enemies, so eliminate them, then raise the ground and use a Spike Grenade. The collectible will be on the roof opposite the building that looks like a Library.
Collectible 82: You will find a Ricochet Gun, and you will see the collectible on a metal stairway on a small platform.
Collectible 83: Not far from the previous collectible, in an alleyway you will see a lot of catwalks. One of them will have the collectible. Raise the ground and either use a Spike Grenade or Trench Jump to get it.
Collectible 84: You will enter a part which has a horse statue in the middle. Run to the far right and you will see the collectible down an alley.
Collectible 85: Run to the left side and you will see the collectible behind a fence and in front of a stairway that leads to a door.
You are required to do some sniping during these levels, so there is a high chance you will get this achievement.
Most of the enemies in these later levels like to engage in close quarter combat, so you'll be using this weapon quite a bit.
It is recommended that you aim for this achievement in this level if you get the chance. It requires you to use a Spike Grenade and crush an enemy by making the enemy squeeze between the grenade pillar and the ceiling. Here is a video to help you, credit goes to LeadExample...
Act 3: Level 2: Generator Beams
There Are 7 Collectibles In This Level
Collectible 86: After opening the doors that gain access to the second beam, if you take the left doorway you will get to a part where you can raise the ground to access an upper level. Defeat the enemies and then run around the corner for the collectible.
Collectible 87: When you're in the room with the second beam, run along the right side of the platform and you will see the collectible in a gap in the middle.
Collectible 88: At the third beam, the collectible will be underneath the red beam near the ledge.
Collectible 89: When you reach the fourth beam, move up to the top left and enter the room that you can access. Sink the dirt and then jump up and grab the collectible on the upper platform.
Collectible 90: In the room where the 4th beam is (should be a blue one), on the left side in a small gap on a walkway.
Collectible 91: You will meet up with a Spike Hydra. The collectible will be on top of one of the beam generators in a corner.
Collectible 92: You will find this collectible on the floor in a corner underneath some broken platforms.
When you have defeated the Spike Hydra, you are given the last upgrade to your suit earning you this achievement. This is story related.
Zapp!You have successfully redirected a beam using TD in single player!
This is story related as it requires you to use your Entrencher against one of the beams.
Han Shoots FirstYou killed an enemy by modifying terrain and forcing them into a beam in single player.
This is likely to be the only level where you'll be able to get this achievement in the game. To get it you will need to get an enemy to get killed by the beam which is flashing around the area where you're fighting. Here is a video to help you, credit goes to LeadExample...
Act 3: Level 3: Dreadnought Destruction
There Are 8 Collectibles In This Level
Collectible 93: You will be placed in a firefight back in the snow. The collectible will be in the building on the right side on the second floor. There will be an open gap.
Collectible 94: There will be a car that crashes into a building (it will unleash a load of enemies). The collectible will be nearby on a lonesome piece of platform that is on the second floor of a building on the left side.
Collectible 95: When you find the Mole Gun, use it and then look to your right side. There will be a piece of building broken and the collectible inside.
Collectible 96: You will see this collectible inside part of a building that you need to access. Defeat the enemies first before you grab it.
Collectible 97: Near the previous collectible, there will be a building in front of you. The collectible will be on a lonesome piece of platform.
Collectible 98: Not far from the previous collectible will be an open gap on the right side of a building. You should see the collectible.
Collectible 99: From the previous collectible, there will be a broken building at the end of the area on your left. The collectible will be on the second floor. Defeat the enemies first.
Collectible 100: You will find the collectible inside the Dreadnought you've got to go in to complete the mission. It'll be on the left side in part of a corner. Watch out, this area's packed full of enemies.
If you have managed to find every single collectible in the order provided, then you should unlock this achievement. Well done! That's one challenging requirement completed. If you haven't found all of them up to this point, you'll need to make note of which ones you missed. Then, after you have completed your play-through, reload the previous chapters you have missed any collectibles on.
This was Kill3rCommando's last collectible which he missed out as you can tell since he was jumping around with excitement. For a helpful point of view, in this walk-through the collectible he missed was Collectible 65.
This is the only level in the game that contains this weapon. So if you want this achievement during the campaign, this is the only chance you've got.
You may be able to get this achievement around this point of the game as well.
It is suggested you do this achievement on this level. In some areas of the game there will be Force Fields. To get this achievement you will need to get an enemy weak and then lure them to the force field... killing them. Here is a video to help you, credit goes to LeadExample...
Final Boss
The Final Boss in this game, named "General Sheridan", will be suited up with strong armor. The only way in which you can defeat him is by attacking the yellow weak points on the armor. There are 3 locations. His head, his chest and his back. You need to make all 3 turn red to defeat him.
The problem with this boss is that he will charge at you, and if he's attacked, he will use pillars to re-charge his health which must be destroyed. On occasion, he will call out bugs to help him as well. Most of the attacks and the bugs in this fight are harsh as they can kill you in a single hit.
Luckily, there is a glitch in the boss battle which can be done that allows you to avoid all of the above and defeat Sheridan with ease. Credit for the video goes to Budweiser x360a...
When you start the final battle, quickly turn around and look to your left. You should see a window. Raise the ground and quickly trench jump into this window. You will be safe from Sheridan's attack as he will keep on stomping the ground. Attack him here and hope that he will move around, allowing you to attack him elsewhere. Your only problem with this method is ammo, so you may have to jump out and quickly grab some ammo, then perform the glitch to ensure you can defeat Sheridan.
An alternative method is placed here as well. Credit again goes to Kill3rCommando...
If you have managed to defeat Sheridan (glitch or not), then you will successfully complete the game and earn the last campaign achievements. Well done, you have done the hardest step in the game. Now it's time for you to mop up any other achievements you have missed.
Mop Up
Since you have finished the campaign, you can now reload any level you need to go back to and selecting the Easy Difficulty.
PugilistYou killed 10 enemies in a row with only using Melee.
Among all of the achievements which are listed above, the most likely one you're going to need is getting 10 Melee Kills in a row (since it's easiest done on a lower difficulty).
Training Arena
Lastly, since you have collected all the Data Cells, you will now have access to the Training Arena. The Training Arena allows you to earn a large sum of achievements the easier way.
