4. A Princess and a Dragon

Start a new game and this time pick A Princess and a Dragon. Do not bother with Expert this time around, just pick casual.

Skip the beginning cutscene.

Village

Zoom in on the bottom-left of the barrels in front of you. Take the Brush.

Move up to the yellow door on the left to enter The Gate.

The Gate

Take the Oil Can leaning against the sack then zoom in to the large teeth in the back. Use the Brush with the moss on the teeth. Back away.

Zoom in on the stand on the left. Time for the first Find Objects puzzle of this episode.

This will give you a Candy Token.

Back out to the village.

Village

On the top of the turret in the center. Interact with it and use the Oiler on it. Open the triangular panel and grab the spring.

Back away and then zoom in on the bottom left of this turret. Use the Screw on the handle here. Then interact with it and grab the Puzzle Disc.

Walk up to the round door on the left. Use the Candy Token on this panel. The panel will slide open. A puzzle will appear. Interact with it and use the Puzzle Disc. Move the discs in the following order:

  • Bottom-right.
  • Bottom-middle.
  • Bottom-left.
  • Middle-left.
  • Middle.
  • Top-middle.
  • Top-left.
  • Middle-left.
  • Middle.
  • Middle-right.
  • Bottom-middle.
  • Bottom-left.
  • Middle-left.
  • Middle.
  • Middle-right.
  • Bottom-right.
  • Bottom-middle.

The slot in the bottom right will open. Take the Sour Sweats.

Go back to the gate, through the door on the left.

The Gate

Zoom in on the dragon again. Use the Sour Sweets on the tooth with the hole in it.

You will free the Fairy. Interact with it to get Hall Door Key. Then grab the Tooth on the ground, to the right of the cannon and sandbags in the middle of the floor.

Back out to the Village.

Village

Go up the stairs on the right to the puzzle. Interact with the puzzle and use the Hall Door Key.

This puzzle's arrangement is different every time. The idea is that you will have to spin each piece to form the picture. Below is a screenshot of the image that needs to be formed.

This will open the door.

Now take the stairs again up to The Hall.

The Hall

Over on the left is a table. Walk up to it for a hidden object puzzle.

Time for another hidden object puzzle.

This will give you the Foot Pump.

Next walk up to the barrel. and grab the Cheese from the top. Back away then grab the Plug on the ground to the left of the dragon foot. Back out to the village then enter the door on the left to The Gate.

The Gate

Zoom in on the cannon in the middle of the floor. On the left wheel, interact and use the Foot Pump. Pick up the Mallet on the right side.

Back out to the Village.

Village

Zoom in on the mouse to the right of the pump in the middle and use the Cheese with it. The pump will start working. Then climb the stairs to The Hall.

The Hall

Walk up to the barrel then use the Sharp Tooth with the top of it. Then use the Mallet to open the barrel and grab the Pepper Corns inside. Back out to the Village.

Village

Zoom in on the top of the pump in the middle and use the Pepper Corns. Then back out and zoom in on the drawer at the bottom. Take the Ground Pepper Corns. Enter the door on the left to go to The Gate.

The Gate

Zoom in on the cannon and use the Ground Pepper Corn with it. Then use the Plug. Once this is done, use the Foot Pump on the cannon's hole, to the right of the wheel. The cannon will shoot the Plug at the dragon and the dragon will move.

Zoom in on the plant stand again.

You will need to find 6 dandelions.

This will give you the Feather Duster.

Back out to the village then go up the stairs on the right to get to The Hall.

The Hall

Use the Feather Duster on the dragon foot. The foot will lift and our fairy friend from the main story will fly out. Talk to him to get the Mirror Piece.

Now walk up to the wall in the back for a puzzle. Interact with it and use the Mirror Piece.

Place mirrors in the following spots:

  • Row 1, column 2.
  • Row 2, column 4.
  • Row 3, column 2.
  • Row 3, column 6.
  • Row 6, column 4.

This will give you Water Balloons.

Back out to the village and go back to The Gate.

The Gate

The dragon is now peaking into the building.

Use the Water Balloons on the fire.

Back out to the village then go back to the Hall again.

The Hall

Walk up to the table again for another Find Objects puzzle.

This will give you the Gate part.

Back out and return to The Gate.

The Gate

Interact with the dragon eye to close the door. Then interact with the door and use the Gate Key. Puzzle time!

  1. Move the long vertical piece on the right all the way down.
  2. Move the key piece to the right.
  3. Move the bottom-left long vertical piece all the way up.
  4. Move the long horizontal piece in the middle all the way to the left.
  5. Move the short vertical piece that was above it all the way down.
  6. Move the key piece all the way to the left.
  7. Move the top-left vertical piece down.
  8. Move the short horizontal piece that's near it all the way to the left.
  9. Move the other horizontal piece at the top all the way to the left.
  10. Move the other small horizontal piece that was below it all the way to the left.
  11. Move the right-most small vertical piece all the way up to unblock the keyhole.
  12. Move the key piece all the way to the left.

This will unlock an achievement:

Skip the cutscenes and you will now be outside, in a new area.

Garden

Zoom in on the tree stump. Grab the knife. Back away.

Over on the left is a dirt mound. Zoom in on it. Pick up the Chess Pieces (1/6) on the ground.

Walk ahead to enter the Faeriefolk Tree.

Faeriefolk Tree

Skip the cutscene.

Walk up to the mushrooms on the ground. Time for a Find Objects puzzle.

This will get you the Dragon Amulet.

Interact with the ground below the tree and the dragon for a puzzle. Grab the Chess Pieces here (2/6). Back out of here.

Next, cross the river to Stone Face Valley.

Stone Face Valley

Zoom in on the sand castle on the left. Pick up the Knight Figurine. Back out.

Zoom in on the plack above the sand castle. Use the Dragon Amulet on the dragon picture here.

Time for a puzzle. There is a 6x6 grid.

Interact with them the following number of times:

  • Top row from left to right: 1 time, 2 times, 2 times, 3 times.
  • Middle row from left to right: 1 time, 1 time, 1 time, 1 time.
  • Bottom row from left to right: 3 times, 2 times, 2 times, 1 time.

Here is a screenshot of the finished puzzle just in-case:

Pick up the Chess Piece (3/6) in the now-open panel. Zoom in on the scroll and take the Ribbon. Then grab the Button (1/2) from the bottom left. Back out of this.

Over by the tree on the right is a Long Stick. Take it. Back out twice to the starting area, the garden area.

Garden

Zoom in on the garden on the left again. Use the Long Stick on the rake head, then use the Ribbon on it. Then take it to receive the Rake. Back out and return to faeriefolk tree.

Faeriefolk Tree

Walk up to the dragon and use the Rake to get the Memory Stone. Back away and then go to Stone Face Valley again.

Talk with then zoom in on the rock wall in the back and open the compartment above the green lettering. Use the Memory Stone on the now-open part of the wall. The wall will open up revealing the path to House's Porch. Go there.

House's Porch

Zoom in on the keg. Grab the brush then interact with the stopper in the top. Back out then walk up to the foliage to the right of the path to the house. Use the Knight Figurine on the table here. Puzzle time!

Move the knight in the following directions. This knight only moves like a knight in a game of chess. For those unfamiliar with chess; two spaces forward or back then one space to the left or right.

Simply move the knight around until you have hit all the spaces. Below is a video demonstrating it. The way I did it was not the most efficient, but it will work.

In the event you have trouble, below is a video. The steps taken are not the most efficient, but it will give you an idea if you are stuck.

The top will open, revealing a Chess Piece (4/6) and the House Key.

Back out and then zoom in on the door. Use the House Key on the lock, then interact with the key. Enter the house to the Living Room.

Living Room

Walk up to the table near the fireplace. Pick up the Well Crank and the Jar. Back up and zoom in on the couch on the right.

Grab the Chest Knob off the couch and back out. Then zoom in on the chest on the floor. Interact with the leftmost space (looks like a Philips head screw) and use the Chest Knob.

Move the knob in the following paths:

  • Move it up and to the right to turn the gear. This moves the left path in alignment with the track.
  • Move it back to the left by taking the upper path.
  • Move it to the bottom right, moving the right gear once. Circle once more around to align it with the track.
  • Go back to the left and go through the left gear to turn the top gear once. Return to the start.
  • The left gear will now be out of alignment. Circle around the top left loop to get it back in alignment and make the pass through the middle again.
  • The top gear should now be aligned with the track. Follow it to the end.

You may now open the chest. Take the Slippers from the chest and the Button (2/2) from underneath that.

Interact with the white jar to remove the lid and then use the brush with it. Use the Carving Knife on the wooden block to the left. Use the brush in the paint jar on the chess piece here then pick it up for Chess Pieces (5/6).

Zoom in on the couch. Use the Buttons and the Slippers on the pillow.

Back out to the House's Porch.

House's Porch

Zoom on the well. On the left side of it is a hole. Use the Well Crank with it, then interact with it. A Bucket of Water will come up. Take it. Also, make sure to grab the Chess Pieces (6/6).

Back out to the Stone Face Valley.

Stone Face Valley

Zoom in on the sandcastle. Use the Bucket of Water on the castle. The moat of the sandcastle will fill and you will get back the Bucket. Use the Chess Pieces on the castle. An Ant Amulet will come out. Take it. Back out to the Faeariefolk Tree.

Faeriefolk Tree

Walk up to the town below the tree again for a Find Objects puzzle.

This will give you the Needle and Thread.

Go to the puzzle underneath the tree. Interact with the pink and red spot at the top left and use the Ant Amulet.

You now need to rearrange these pieces such that the ants can get through the maze. Below is a screenshot to help out.

The ants will run to the end. Then interact with the pink dust (Fairy Dust) that appears.

Back out to the garden.

Garden

Zoom in on the pond. Interact with the pond and use the Bucket to get the Bucket of Tar.

Back out and go forward all the way to the House's Porch.

House's Porch

Go to the vines on the left. Use the faerie on the flowers.

Click on the glowing roses in the exact order as numbered above. If for whatever reason you make a mistake, kill the game a relaunch it and you should load up the game a little bit before the puzzle, for a fresh start.

Continue to the Forest Meadow.

Forest Meadow

Walk up to the broken fountain on the bottom-left.

This will give you Colored Glass.

Walk up to the branch with the Hand Ax in it. Use the faerie (cn_right) on the flowers then grab the Hand Axe and the Bee-Attracting Flowers.

Walk up to the tree on the right with the sack sticking out of it. Grab the Tongs and the Sack (Carrot Seeds). Then read the scroll.

Back out once then enter the Living Room.

Living Room

Go up to the couch on the right. Interact with the pillow we've been adding stuff to, and use the Needle and Thread. Pick up the Sheep Pillow.

Back out to the Garden.

Garden

Zoom in on the tree stump and use the Hand Axe. Pick up the Firewood.

Zoom in on the carrot patch on the left. Interact with the soil here and use the Carrot Seeds. Use the Faerie (cn_right). Take the Carrots.

Return to the Forest Meadow.

Forest Meadow

Zoom in on the sheep underneath the tree. Give the carrots to the lamb. The lamb will move and the Torch behind it. Back out to the House's Porch then enter the Living Room.

Living Room

Zoom in on the fireplace. Use the Fire Wood underneath the cooking pot. Back out to Stone Face Valley.

Stone Face Valley

Zoom in on the open compartment above the sandcastle. Use the Colored Gems on the scepter here. Pick it up. You will get the Magic Item.

Go back to the Faeriefolk Tree.

Faeriefolk Tree

Zoom in on the dragon and use the Torch on the dragon's smoke to get the Lit Torch.

Go forward to the Forest Meadow.

Forest Meadow

Zoom in on the broken fountain again then use the Golden Sceptor on it for a Find Objects Puzzle.

This will give you Chameleon Berries.

Zoom in on the tree with the sheep. You will see a gold coin underneath the tree. Zoom in on it and use the Tongs on it. This will give you the Gold Coin.

Back out to the House's Porch then enter the Living Room.

Living Room

Zoom in on the fireplace and then zoom on the utensil on the wall. Use the Gold Coin on the screw holding it to the wall. Then pick up the Shears. Then use the Lit Torch on the Fire Wood underneath the pot.

Back out then return to the Forest Meadow.

Forest Meadow

Zoom in on the sheep again. Then use the Shears on the sheep. This will give you Wool.

Zoom in on the orange flowers in the middle of the field. Use the fairy on them. Then pick them for the Bee-Attracting Flowers.

Back all the way out to the Garden.

Garden

Zoom in on the beehive. Interact with the tree to the left of the hive and use the Bee-Attracting Flowers. Use the jar on the beehive to get Honey of the Warrior Bees.

Go forward and return to the Living Room.

Living Room

Zoom in on the fireplace. Use the Berries and the Honey of the Warrior Bees on the pot. Interact with it to stir. Interact with it again and this will give you the Shrinking Elixir.

Back out to the House's Porch.

Horse's Porch

Walk up to the keg. Use the Shrinking Elixir with the top of it, then the Bucket of Tar, then the Wool, then the Sheep Head. Pick up the Special Sheep. Back out to the Faeriefolk Tree.

Faeriefolk Tree

Zoom in on the dragon use the Special Sheep.

Skip the cutscene and you will pop:
