2017 was an odd year for the gaming industry. Though last year was one of my favorite years of gaming, there's always room for improvement for the Xbox community.

Not even 24 hours ago, Microsoft announced that October 24th would be the day original Xbox backward compatibility arrived for Xbox One. They've further added to the excitement by releasing comparison videos.

Always the poster boy for anything Xbox, Master Chief has become one of the most recognizable faces -- er, helmets -- in video gaming. Even without a new Halo title, Microsoft still has big plans for him in 2017.
