CHAPTER 1 - STOLEN CHARMS
Start the game, and proceed through the tutorials. You will shortly receive instructions on how to use your pistol. Throughout the next six chapters you will easily get 50 kills with the pistol and earn
Once you complete the tutorial on using the B button to finish enemies, be aware that you can now start working towards the following two achievements
Goal!Kicked 50 Bambini Heads
To obtain Bambini heads you either need to rip them off yourself (grab a Bambini with RT then use B button while he's flashing red) or pick them up off the floor (using RT) when thrown at you by an enemy. For 'Heads you win' you must throw or kick (throwing is MUCH easier!) heads into 25 enemies and kill them. For 'Goal' you just need to kick 50 heads (Y button. Note that kicking the same one repeatedly also counts towards this). You will encounter literally hundreds of Bambini heads during your playthrough, so don't waste time trying to grind these out now.
Proceed through the Chapter, until you get the objective "Search the catacombs". Enter the catacombs, and turn left at the first opportunity, you should see a wall with white light streaming through it. Destroy both this wall, and the green coffin behind it. Open the coffin to obtain ARTIFACT 1/20 - DIARY OF ILEANA
Continue forward, after meeting and defeating your first werewolves make a note fo this location. You will need to return here later to collect the second artifact of Chapter 1 (ARTIFACT 9/20 - EYE OF KROM). For reference, this artifact is inside a tomb at the top of the stone stairs in front of you as you entered this area.

CHAPTER 2 - DEMON MISTS
Proceed into the chapter and you will soon encounter fat masked enemies holding a studded club in each hand. Beat them up, which can take a while, or use a single shot of firefly ammo. Firefly ammo will stun the enemies on the first shot only, grab them quickly with RT then use the B button to kill them and take their weapon, the Oni Club. You can now start working towards the 25 Oni Club kills you need to unlock. Great thing is that you can still use your gun with the Oni Club in hand - this means you can stun the next enemy, hit it a couple times with the club to kill it, rinse and repeat. Otherwise it will take 4-5 hits and your club is likely to break before you kill any enemies. The best place to grind this is in the large open area with the 3 bridges. 2 Onis will spawn before the first bridge (there's a checkpoint here you can start from) stun the first one, take his club, stun the second, kill him with the club, cross the bridge refill firefly ammo, cross the next bridge and instead of going through the rock arch, drop down into the water and go to the next bridge. Once the enemies are on you, run back - the Onis will sometimes get stuck in the water allowing you to deal with the other enemies first until your club breaks and you can jump back in the water to grab your next one. There's also a firefly refill station in this area. You can get 2-5 Oni Club kills per run through.
Keep moving forward, and you will soon arrive at a dead body and obtain your first piece of lore for this chapter. Next to the body is ARTIFACT 2/20 - CURIOUS CARD.
Continue through the chapter, you climb a steep hill and come across Splinter ammo in a clearing halfway up. At the top of this hill is ARTIFACT 3/20 - CICADA STONE. Ring the bell, then fight the enemy that appears. When he flashes silver/grey, make sure that you use the RT + B combo to kill him, as this will give you ARTIFACT 4/20 BLACK ONI'S SWORD.
Carry on through the chapter until you reach the large temple. Before entering, make sure you collect ARTIFACT 5/20 - ANCIENT COIN from the nearby riverbank. Collecting this artifact will also earn you
Enter the temple, once you have defeated the enemy within you will earn
CHAPTER 3 - INFESTED VILLAGE
At the beginning of Chapter 3, walk forward until you get a cutscene. Once the cutscene finishes, find a drainpipe on the side of a building and press RT + X to remove it from the wall. You need 25 kills with drainpipes to earn
This will come easily during this chapter; just grab a drainpipe from a wall whenever you see one.
Proceed, and you will encounter a short cutscene involving an un-welcoming symbol. After the resulting fight, look at the left hand side of this area for a door marked with this same symbol, and break it down. Inside is ARTIFACT 6/20 - WATCHMAN'S JOURNAL and collecting it will earn you
Continue through the chapter for a while until you collect ARTIFACT 7/20 - WITCH'S CANDLE. This is unmissable, so just keep playing until you get it! Proceed to the end of the chapter, enter a large clocktower and prepare for the boss fight. You can also find ARTIFACT 8/20 - PRIEST'S JOURNAL here, keep an eye open for it during the cutscene as you enter the tower. pick up one of the Bambini's and throw it at the gate (or hit it into the gate). TouristCompleted Chapter 3 in Single Player
After completing this chapter, quit to main menu (before doing so make sure that you have at least one round of grenade ammo). Select Chapter 1 - "Double Trouble" and return to where you first encountered the werewolves, then use the grenade ammo on the door at the top of the stairs (if you've been following this guide you would have made a mental note where it is). Inside is ARTIFACT 9/20 - EYE OF KROM. Collecting it will earn you
Make sure you play until the next save point, then quit to main menu and select chapter 4.
CHAPTER 4 - UNDERVILLAGE
Play through the chapter until you go down a long stone staircase, across some narrow platforms and experience a cutscene showing you a giant green er.. sort of squid thing (you'll know when you see it!). On your right hand side are four glowing red spikes, and behind these is the first artifact in this chapter (ARTIFACT 12/20 - PILOT'S GOGGLES). However, as with the Eye of Krom in chapter 1 you can't collect this now, so make a mental note that you'll be coming back here once you've completed this chapter.
Just past this point you'll have to raise a gate, head through it, immediately turn left and hit the spike with red eggs on it. Pick up one of the eggs that drops off to obtain ARTIFACT 10/20 - FROG EGG. These frog eggs can be thrown at enemies to kill them, you need 25 kills with them to earn
During this chapter you will also have countless opportunities to throw 50 enemies off a cliff, in order to earn

You don't have to physically throw each enemy, just attack them near the edge and they will fall in. You should easily obtain "Going Down" before the end of the chapter without any grinding, and there is an ideal spot to grind "Egg-splosive" detailed shortly in the guide.
Lower the bridge, and work your way forward, focusing on the two above achievements.
Raise the next gate, watch the ensuing cutscene and enter the next large area. At the far end of this area is a circular pit with metal pipes coming vertically out of it. By throwing three enemies into this pit you will open a gate on the extreme left hand side of this area. Behind this gate is ARTIFACT 11/20 - OLD SWORD. If you kill all the enemies in this area without managing to raise the gate and obtain the sword, quit to the main menu and select either continue or "Undervillage - Interlopers" and you will restart in this room.
Continue through the chapter (remembering to keep throwing enemies off cliffs) until you enter a room containing two circular pits with a flaming torch in each. To open the exit you need to throw two enemies into each one of these pits.
The next room is a carbon-copy of this one, and is the ideal place to grind out your remaining frog egg kills for the "Egg-splosive" achievement, as detailed earlier. You can find frog eggs on the ledge at the end of the room, just stand next to them and attack from there. This is also the best place to grind the Prickly Personality achievement, either now or later. As you are grinding the egg achievement the explosions they create will toss enemies onto the red spikes nearby as long as you stay right beside the egg sack as you toss them. In this way any accidental spike kills will count towards Prickly Personality while you grind for Egg-splosive and vice versa. Take care to NOT throw enemies into the torch pits, and they will infinitely respawn. You need to throw/punch 50 enemies into these to earn
Continue to the end of the chapter and earn
SpelunkerCompleted Chapter 4 in Single Player
Make sure you have at least one round of ignite ammo, and then quit to main menu. Select Chapter 4 - "The Catacombs" and collect ARTIFACT 12/20 - PILOT'S GOGGLES (you should have made a mental note of the location earlier in the chapter) to earn

Make sure you keep playing to the next save point (just after raising the gate), then quit to main menu and select chapter 5.
CHAPTER 5 - BURIED EVIL
Play through the chapter until you reach the second set of blue tentacles that you must destroy. In a cave on the right are the orange crystals you need to kill the tentacles, and at the very end of the cave is ARTIFACT 13/20 - ALIEN ARTIFACT. Collecting it will earn you
Keep working your way forward until you encounter the first enemies armed with grenade launchers at the top of a small sandy/rocky hill. To your immediate left, behind a tent, is ARTIFACT 14/20 - ARCHAEOLOGICAL JOURNAL. Now the bad news... those 'grenade launchers' are actually Krieger Guns, and you need to get 25 kills using them to earn
This is the best spot in the game to grind those 25 kills so do it either now, or after you've completed the campaign.
To take the guns from their owners easily, run up the hill past the Krieger wielding enemies and turn left. Run forwards until the blue tentacles appear and shoot them with a crystal bullet. This will now reduce all enemies health enabling you to use the RT+B combo to grab a Krieger Gun from a foe. Now just bash away with the X button at the zombies. Make sure you leave at least one enemy alive to kill you, letting you respawn at the bottom of the hill.
Moving on, and after jumping down the hole inside of the tall building head left, climb the stairs and collect ARTIFACT 15/20 - ALIEN EMBLEM.
During the boss fight you will automatically receive ARTIFACT 16/20 - ALIEN WEAPON. After completing this fight you will earn
CHAPTER 6 - CASTLE VON KLEMPT
Play through the chapter until you come under fire from an ape armed with a large machine gun. After ascending one level, at the very end of these metal catwalks is ARTIFACT 17/20 - BLACK ONI MASK, it's to the right of the next staircase (walk "into" the screen).
After exiting the control room and moving through a long tunnel, you will enter a small room filled with crates. You should be able to see ARTIFACT 18/20 - FROG WORM SPECIMEN behind these crates.
Work your way through the first circular lab, past the ape and into the second lab. Take the first door on the right to obtain an Ape Spine. You need 25 kills with Ape Spines to earn
Continue upwards and you will reach a circular room containing two soldiers and an ape. You can grind "Chiropractor" here by killing the soldiers with the ape spine. However, there is a better spot just ahead. There's a checkpoint just before an area with incendiary rounds and egg sacs followed by 2 spines and 5 enemies. Hit each enemy with an incendiary round, run back and grab the furthest spine from the enemies (to give the flames a chance to wear them down) then run back and hit the soldiers first as they have lower hp and will be killed by the monsters. Then once the spine breaks, hit each of the other enemies with 1 Y punch. Grab the next spine and finish them off. I was able to take out 3-5 most times. While you're doing this take care not to go into the corridor past these 5 enemies to ensure you don't trigger the next checkpoint. After both spines break just run back the way you came and jump off the ledge into the poison gas. This will also get any remaining suicides you need to earn
Continue through the chapter, until you enter a circular room with a metal grille on the floor, a circular hole in the middle, and grenade ammo on the opposite side to where you entered. On the right hand side of the exit doorway you will notice some objects against the wall - DO NOT smash these, among them is a gas tank which can explode - you need to pick it up for ARTIFACT 19/20 - GREEN GAS TANK from the debris.
Keep playing through until you defeat an ape that makes a hole in the floor when he explodes. Jump down the hole, head to the room straight in front of you and destroy the desk on your left. Under this desk is ARTIFACT 20/20 - VON KLEMPT'S DIARY and collecting it will earn you both of these
Complete the chapter (and your first playthrough!) to earn
CO-OP PLAYTHROUGH
There are three achievements to be obtained in co-op. You'll need to find a partner on xbox live to do these, and the online community for this game is non-existent. Your best bet is to set up a boosting session. Also, the "It Takes Two" achievement is notoriously glitchy. Anyway, to obtain the two character achievements, you just need to play the end of act 1 - "King's Barrow" twice, once as Abe and once as Liz.
If you're playing in co-op with someone who already has the "It Takes Two" achievement, it may unlock for you at the same time you get your first Abe/Liz achievement.
If that didn't work, you will have to play and complete all six chapters (and pray) to earn
