Whilst for each walkthrough I would allow you to choose between the Single Player & Multiplayer in any order you like. For this game I recommend you work on the online achievements first. The reason is due to the fact that the online achievements for this game will take longer to complete compared to the single player. The online side of this game is also dead, so you will need to find a boosting partner/friend/dummy account who will willing to help you get the online achievements done and you will also need a group of players for one of the online achievements. Although the online achievements are easy to work on, you will need to grind through some of them which could possibly lead to boredom.
Step 1: To The Victor Go The Spoils
This is the only online achievement in the game that has to be done in a Ranked Match. In order to start up a Ranked Match, you will need at least 4 people including yourself. I suggest you create or search for an online boosting session for a chance in getting enough people to help get this achievement.
Once you have 4 or more players ready to boost with you, have three people prepare themselves to search for a Ranked Elimination match while the remaining player automatically searches for a Ranked Elimination match. You cannot directly host Ranked Matches in this game as you please, but the first person who manages to load up a match and is sitting in the lobby at the top of the screen will become the host. This can be a little tricky to configure at first because if all of you were to search for a Ranked Elimination match at the same time, it may put you in a different multiplayer lobby. Therefore it is best is to assign one person to be the host and get them to search and create the Ranked Elimination match. Once this is done, the other 3 people can then search for a Ranked Quick Match and they should end up being with the player who has hosted the match since very few people are still actively playing this.
When all players are in the lobby, decide who is going for the win and then get the host to begin the match. You now need to take turns in getting a win in each match so that everyone can get the achievement. The matches themselves won't take very long to do at all. Whoever is going for the win needs to either go around and kill the other players (this may take a little while) or stand still and avoid the explosions from the other players. If you are losing the match, you will need to toss a Grenade (
) on the floor, walk over it and then blow yourself up. This will make you lose a life which is indicated on the top left side of the screen. Once you have lost all of your lives you will be returned to the lobby menu of the game and you will spectate the rest of the match. Once the third player has lost all of their lives, everyone will return to the lobby menu and the sole survivor will get the achievement.
Unfortunately, you will have to return to the main menu of the game and get the player who was the host to repeat the process in order to get another Ranked Elimination match activated. Thus, rinse and repeat all of the above until everyone gets the achievement. Overall this step should take around an hour or less for everyone to accomplish the achievement.
Note: If you are the player who has been eliminated and you are waiting on the lobby screen, do not quit the match and return to the main menu. Doing so will end the match and prevent the winning person from getting the achievement.
Step 2: Remaining Online Achievements
This will be the longest step throughout the entire walkthrough. You now need to work on the rest of the online achievements in the game. Luckily they can be done with a partner, a friend, or a dummy account in Private Player Matches, making them much to obtain. But if that doesn't interest you, they can also be done in Ranked Matches, if you want to record your stats, or have additional players playing with you. This walkthrough however will be addressing as if you we're working on the online achievements with just a partner in Private Player Matches.
One thing that must be noted before you begin is that whoever hosts a Player Match in this game will always be the Americans and the other player who joins the match will always be the Japanese. It is optional at first who wants to host the matches and be on specific sides of the teams. However at some stage you will both have to play as American & Japanese for certain weapon achievements. Also you will both have to host the games at some point as there is another achievement for hosting and completing 100 matches.
Whilst you are both boosting, whoever is the host of the match can take control of how the game works, which means they can start the match and play on even if their partner is not playing at all. With this in mind, if you are the player who is not the host (Japanese), then you have the option of putting your controller down and walking away from the game and leaving it idle for a period of time while the host (Americans) keep on getting the kills/achievements they need. However, it does not work the same for the opposite way around. If you are the player who is not the host (Japanese), then you will have to make sure the host is around on a regular basis to re-launch each match they are hosting. Even though this does sound like a benefit for people who do not want to stick around on the game all the time, it will likely increase your time duration for completing the multiplayer achievements. If you still wish to stand idle and do nothing while your partner is working on their achievements, then I would suggest you stick around on your console, but find an alternative means to occupy your time.
Kill Achievements
To begin I will list all of the achievements that are related to getting kills with weapons in the game. Although you can happily work away on these achievements now, I would suggest you choose another category and work on those achievements first since any kills you accomplish while completing those will count towards the achievements you are working on in this step, saving you both time and effort.
However if you wish to get the weapon achievements done first or if you need to do this after you have got some achievements, then I would suggest the host create a Private Player Match with the following settings:
- Game Type: Deathmatch
- Time Limit: 60 Minutes (After 60 minutes, the match will end and will give credit for the host who is hosting a total of 100 multiplayer matches)
- Kill Limit: Unlimited
- Map: Village (The smallest and easiest to navigate map)
The other settings do not matter.
American weapons that you can use for this achievement: M1991 pistol, M1 Garand rifle, Thompson M1 submachinegun, M1903 sniper rifle, and the B.A.R light machinegun
Japanese Weapons that you can use for this achievement: Nambu pistol, Type 38 rifle, Type 100 submachinegun, Type 97 sniper rifle, and the Type 96 light machinegun
These two achievements are the longest of the weapon achievements that you need to work on. The weapons listed in each of the categories all count towards their respective achievements so you do not need to get 500 kills with just one of the weapons in order to get the achievement. For example, you can get 20 kills with the pistol, 150 with the rifle, 200 with the submachinegun, 30 with the sniper rifle, and 100 with the light machinegun for a total of 500 kills and unlocking the achievement.
As mentioned above, the host will be the Americans and the non-host will be the Japanese. Although you can work on the kills at one time, you will eventually have to take turns on the other team. Afterwards, you will have to swap teams again and repeat the process for the other person. It's optional whether you want just one person to work on all of a related kill achievements first, or if you want to take turns at it.
MarksmanGot 200 headshots without a scope or pistol in any multiplayer mode.

For this achievement, you need to get a total of 200 headshots without using a scope on the M1903 rifle, the Type 97 rifle, or using the pistols. This can be a little tricky to do since you can't zoom in on your target. Furthermore, in order for the game to register a headshot, it must be a one-hit kill. If your partner is not around playing the game with you, this achievement alone will likely increase your time to obtain it since you must stand head-to-head against your opponent, aim and fire and hope that it's a one-hit headshot kill. Because you have to work on other achievements that require you to use a different weapon other than the pistol or the rifles, I suggest you choose one of those weapons and get headshots that way, progressing towards this achievement at the same time.
SniperGot 100 headshots using a scope in any multiplayer mode.

Rifles are the only weapons that have a scope so you will need to either use the M1903 (American) or the Type 97 (Japanese) and then use the
button to zoom in on your partner and obtain the kills. It doesn't have to be headshots, but the progress towards the achievement will not count unless you firmly hold the
button and see your partners die while remaining zoomed in.
DuelerAccumulated 50 kills with a pistol in any multiplayer mode.

Simple enough, this achievement requires you to get 50 Kills with pistols.
Trench GunnerAccumulated 50 kills with the Trench Gun in any multiplayer mode.

This is a shotgun weapon and you need to get a total of 50 Kills with it. It is an American weapon but the only way to obtain it is to find it on the ground around the map your playing on. The trench gun is easily noticeable on the Village map. Once you have the weapon simply go ahead and get 50 Kills with it. Remember to go back to the weapons location for ammo should you need more.
Light GunnerAccumulated 100 kills with the Thompson or Type 100 in any multiplayer mode.

You will likely be getting most of the kills in the game with these two weapons so this achievement will come without too much effort.
Heavy GunnerAccumulated 100 kills with the BAR or Type 96 LMG in any multiplayer mode.

Like the previous achievement, you will likely be getting a great deal of kills with these two weapons as well so this achievement should also come without too much effort.
Miscellaneous Kill Achievements
These achievements require you to kill your opponent with a different strategy other than using weapons. Similar to the Kill Achievements, you can work on these whilst you are working on other game mode achievements. If you still wish to do these achievements differently, then make sure you get the host to create a Private Player Match with the following settings:
- Game Type: Deathmatch
- Time Limit: 60 Minutes
- Kill Limit: Unlimited
- Map: Village
The other settings do not matter.
This achievement can be a little tricky to obtain because you will have to find your partner, get fairly close to them and then hope that the grenade can kill yourself and your partner at the same time. Once you have both found each other, simply stand fairly close and then press
to toss a grenade onto the floor. The Grenade will likely bounce for a short moment before settling so it'll be no surprise if you both have to chase it. When the grenade explodes, make sure it kills both yourself and your partner. Rinse and repeat this method another nine more times and you should get this achievement.
Note: You do not have to get 10 of these kind of kills in one sitting. You can get another type of kill with a weapon and then return to this boosting method and it will still count towards this achievement.
GrenadierAccumulated 50 kills with Grenades in any multiplayer mode.

Because you already have 10/50 grenade kills from the previous achievement, it makes sense just to continue getting grenade kills, only this time you just need to throw the grenade and let it blow up your partner and not yourself.
You will only have two grenades equipped at a time so I recommend that after you have thrown your second grenade to swap with your partner. This will help ease the congestion.
Close CombatKilled 50 opponents with melee attacks in any multiplayer mode.

For this achievement you will need to get a total of 50 melee Kills. This is easily done by finding your opponent, approaching them and then pressing the
button for a melee attack. You can use any weapon in the game when doing melee kills.
Deathmatch Achievements
If you have decided to start working on the Kill Achievements already, you may have already unlocked these achievements without too much notice simply because Deathmatch is the game mode you will likely get your kills done on. However if you want to aim for these achievements differently, this part of the walkthrough will explain it. If you are going to host the matches, you will need to choose on these settings in a Private Player Match.
- Game Type: Deathmatch
- Time: Unlimited
- Kill Limit: 50
- Map: Village
The other settings do not matter.
For all of these achievements listed below in the Deathmatch game mode, you must assign one player only to do all of the work and let the other player get killed constantly.
For this achievement, you need to get a total of 50+ kills ahead of the player who is in second place. This can be done in Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch, but because you can unlock other achievements at the same time in the Deathmatch game mode - Deathmatch is recommended. Also because the kill limit is set to 50, it means that the winning player needs to get all 50 kills and the other player who is getting killed needs to get absolutely nothing. You can work on other kill achievements at the same time should you wish to take your time in getting this achievement. Once the match has been completed, you will unlock this achievement:
You will be more than ten points ahead because your partner will have no kills at all and you will have 50. So you will also get this achievement once you have completed the match:
Total WarHad a 5 to 1 or better Kill to Death ratio in a multiplayer match (minimum of 20 kills).

Finally you will also get this achievement as well because your partner will not have any kills during the match and the requirement for this achievement is to play and complete a match which has at least 20+ Kills as the kill limit.
Capture The Flag Achievements
The achievements related to the Capture The Flag game mode are the easiest to accomplish. Whoever is the host needs to create a Private Player Match with the settings:
- Game Type: Capture The Flag
- Capture Limit: 2
- Time Limit: 30 - 60 Minutes
- Map: Village
The other settings do not matter.
You will need both yourself and your partner playing the game at the same time in order to complete all of the related Capture The Flag achievements.
First you will both need to decide who will do whichever method first. Once decided, the person who is going to be killed simply needs to grab their opponent's flag. Once they've got it, the other player needs to kill them and then touch the flag to return it back to its base. Rinse and repeat another four times and the player who gets the kills will get this achievement. Afterwards you can swap roles and then do the same for the other player who needs the achievement with the opposite flag.
Along the way, you will both get this achievement for picking up your opponent's flag a total of five times in the match you are playing.
Note: You must do both of these achievements in a single match or the achievements will not unlock and you will have to start all over again.
One-Man ArmyWas the only person on your team to score points in a Capture The Flag game.

Since there are only two of you opposing teams, this next achievement is a lot easier to obtain. To get this one, you both need to capture the flag at least once. If the host has chosen the above settings, then one of you needs to capture the flag once and the other player needs to capture it twice for the win as well (doesn't matter who wins). Once the match has been completed, you will both unlock the achievement because you are the only players on your team who have managed to capture the flag (of course, who else is going to capture the flag since you are the only two who exist on the map?).
Elimination Achievements
This is the only achievement in the game that requires you to play the Elimination game mode. Sadly because of the achievements description, it cannot be done in Team Elimination. So I would suggest both players work on this achievement at the same time. Whoever is the host needs to set up a Private Player Match with the following settings:
- Game Type: Elimination
- Time: Doesn't matter for this game mode
- Kill Limit: 1
- Lives: 1
- Map: Village
The other settings do not matter
Once the match has started, whoever is going to lose the match simply needs to toss a Grenade on the floor (
) and commit suicide. After they have killed themselves, the match will end and shortly afterwards the host can then press
to re-launch the map. Rinse and repeat this nine more times and the person who survived and won their 10th match will get the achievement. Now swap roles and then repeat all of the above until the other player gets the achievement.
Team Elimination Achievements
Like the Elimination game mode, you will use the same method and it will require both you and your partner to present. In addition there is another achievement that requires you to win 50 matches in one of the provided game modes and this one is the easiest, so be prepared to spend a bit of time. For that reason alone, I suggest you save working on the Team Elimination game mode until you have completed some of the other game mode achievements. The host needs to setup a Private Player Match with the following settings:
- Game Type: Team Elimination
- Time: Doesn't matter for this game mode
- Kill Limit: 1
- Lives: 1
- Map: Village
The other setting do not matter.
Elite WarriorKilled everyone on the opposite team in a Team Elimination game.

For this achievement, you actually have to go through the long process of finding your partner on the map and killing them. Simply blast away your partner and get a kill resulting in them being eliminated from the match. Once that is done, then the survivor will get the achievement. Rinse and repeat for the other player who needs the achievement as well.
LeadershipWon 50 Team Deathmatch, 50 Capture the Flag, or 50 Team Elimination games.

This next achievement requires you to win a total of 50 matches among the three game modes. If you have chosen to get the Capture The Flag achievements done out the way first, then you will likely have a handful of wins already so in reality you will be doing less than what you expected. However you will still need to get a few more wins prior to seeing this achievement pop on your screen.
The easiest method is for whoever is losing the match to toss a grenade on the floor to commit suicide and then the match will end. Let the host re-launch the match again and simply rinse and repeat until the surviving player gets the achievement. Once they have the achievement, swap over the roles and repeat everything again until the other player gets the achievement as well.
You will likely have this achievement earlier, but if you don't, then there is a chance that you will get it whilst you are committing suicide in this game mode. For this pointless achievement, all you need to do is get killed or suicide a total of 250 times across all of your multiplayer games played.
To earn this achievement, you need to host and then complete 100 matches. Thus at some point while working on these achievements, the host will need to pay attention for when this achievement pops since it should pop whilst working on these wins. As soon the host earns the achievement, the other player who wants this achievement needs to begin hosting by creating a Private Player Match with the settings described above and then continue on earning the Team Elimination wins.
If the remaining player desperately wants to get this achievement over and done with, I recommend you keep on playing Team Eliminations after you have both got the "Leadership" achievement done and other with. It wouldn't matter from this point onwards who wishes to take the win.
Alternatively, there is a glitch in Capture The Flag which speeds the game mode to a certain extent which me and my friend TRACKEY can confirm that we have discovered. First get the host to set up a Private Player Match with these settings:
- Game Type: Capture The Flag
- Capture Limit: 1
- Time Limit: Doesn't matter
- Map: Village
The other settings do not matter.
When the match begins, you need to get the player who is the host (American) to run across to where your partner's flag is located (Japanese). The player who is on the Japanese team needs to run to where the Japanese flag is and stand on top of the flag, literally in the circle. The American player should see the Japanese player having one leg in the circle and one leg out of the circle. The American player then needs to grab the Japanese flag either from the left or the right side. If done correctly, then you should have a message at the bottom of the screen saying "Japanese Flag Taken" and "Japanese Flag Returned" at the same time. If you get this, it means you have successfully done the glitch.
Now get the American player to capture the flag and win the match. When the host gets the option to re-launch the match, let them press
to begin the match. You will both then notice in the next match that both the American & the Japanese flags are right next to each other at the American's base!
With this little trick in place, it means that the host (American) can pick up the Japanese Flag and immediately touch the American Flag to score, completing the match in less than 10 seconds! The glitch only works in every other match, so it means you have to repeat the above method of having the partner standing in front of the flag every other attempt.
Finally if you have been following the walkthrough up to this point, then you will likely have one of these two achievements unlocked. While there are multiple ways in which you can attempt to finish off your American or Japanese Weapon kills, the fastest way is to get the host to set up a Private Player Match with the following settings:
- Game Type: Deathmatch
- Time Limit: 60 Minutes
- Kill Limit: Unlimited
- Map: Village
The other settings do not matter.
It doesn't matter what weapon you use, so I suggest you have either a Thompson/B.A.R (American weapons) or a Type 100/Type 96 (Japanese weapons) and simply find your partner and blast away until you get all of the kills you need for the final online achievements. Ensure you swap roles and repeat the same method for your partner who will likely need to finish off their weapons as well.
You should now have all 23 online achievements unlocked. The grindy part of the game is now complete. Great work!
The overall boosting for the multiplayer achievements on this game with you and a partner will likely take around 15+ hours depending upon whether you both sit and play or if one of you decides to run off and go idle for a certain amount of time.
As noted within the walkthrough, there are some areas where the walkthrough recommends you work on other game modes instead of just grabbing a gun and blasting away. Simply put there is no real quick method for earning all online achievements because whatever you work on, you will probably have at least one achievement that will set you back - especially the 500 Kills with the American and Japanese weapons.
