So if anyone wants to answer - Do weapons like bricks and bottles count towards 100% achievements? I know its in the lost and found at the end of the level but I'm still not sure. Anyone want to clear this up?

Some improvised weapons such as the Baseball Bat and Axe are required to complete the 'Jack of all trades' Chievo (to collect all play styles). For example killing 5 people with the Baseball Bat unlocks the Viking play style. However completing the lost and found challenges during missions does not count towards a completed challenge for the 'Grand Master' Chievo.

So unless they are specifically used to unlock a playstyle then 'no they don't count towards any achievements'.

I will look into compiling a list of all the improvised objects required for you and post them here as soon as I can.

Sorry for the bad news, but the guide is no-where finished e.g at first 2 chapters. I've quit xbox now, and I don't know what the other 2 people on the guide are doing. My advice for the challenges would be to just complete the game doing challenges that would contradict eachother if you tried doing them all at once e.g Find every disguise, and beat the level without changing, then on your second playthrough, use a collectible guide and focus on the other challenges. Let it be known that you don't need to 100% every level, and that you only need about 70-80% of challenges done to 100% the game.

I wouldn't mind offering some help towards this. If there is anything I can do just let me know and I'll get it down.

This Walkthrough requires a new owner, and one who can produce a good video guide to every level on Pro. I have written the Overview and the General Hints and tips sections but I can't make video guides and I do not have the game anymore.

I believe Hitman requires a good thorough campaign Walkthrough and I simply do not possess the knowledge off-hand anymore.

For what it's worth, I don't believe a video guide is an essential part of a good TA walkthrough. Video walkthroughs are all over the internet, and turn-by-turn instructions for every level are easy enough to find. TA's focus on achievements makes the walkthroughs here different: the walkthroughs here should be the best place to go in order to find out the best way to approach the game so that there's no wasted effort, extra playthroughs, and so on, while still getting 100% of the gamerscore.

In the case of Hitman: Absolution, what's essential is a chapter-by-chapter guide that says in each chapter what achievements you should target (especially for chapter-specific achievements, like Faith Can Move Mountains) and a list of which challenges you should undertake so that you finish the game having done the easiest 100 challenges. It should also mention that you should undertake the game on Hard to avoid having to play again later. That's really the core of the walkthrough.

A separate page with video guides is a fine addition, but I don't think it adds anything nearly valuable enough to be worth postponing the walkthrough.

I've began making some improvements and additions to all sections in written form now. Since I'm only an editor however I can't change the page names like I need to, I need Cookie to do that as I don't want to be made Owner.

I'm currently busy helping with the Saints Row 2 WT so my time on Hitman is limited, when I've finished with SR2 I'll fully commit to Hitman and plan on finishing it myself should no new owner be found.

I am not going to continue with this Walkthrough as I cannot fully commit to it and give it the attention nor the thoroughness it deserves. I would like to be demoted to Contributor and allow for a new owner to finish it in the style suggested.

Thanks

I'll pick up where you left off. As long as there's no need for videos i can finish it.

Videos are not essential, but recommended, especially since the locations of some of the collectables and challenges can be difficult to describe in words. I've outlined the basic structure of the Walkthrough and the most efficient means to complete this game, as well as completed the hints and tips section.

Right now its a solid skeleton waiting to be fleshed out.

Edit: I think it needs a new owner, I haven't heard anything from Bulldog since he requested to take it over.

I have some stuff to work on today, but around 5PM GMT I could let you know for certain if I would be able to take this on? All I need to know is how walk-through writing works here on TA, I.E do I report to anyone, roughly how it should be put out, anything technical like that.

I wouldn't be able to do Video guides for definite, but I wouldn't mind creating a text based walk-through. Of course if anyone wanted to create videos and then we could place them in that would be fine, as long as that's permitted.

I'll post again when I get off from college, luckily it's the final day; so if this role isn't taken by that point then I'll have all the time to work on it.
I do like it when the red stuff comes out.

Its very simple really, you get a template of pages; An 'Overview' to explain how you're setting out the Walkthrough (which I've already started) - A 'Hints and tips' page - to give people an idea of how to play the game in the most efficient way - A 'Story' page to set out step by step exactly how to get every achievement in the game in the easiest and fastest way possible. You can, if you wish, go into further detail about extra aspects that are not linked to achievements but the main thing is to guide people through all the achievements only.

You will get an Overseer - someone you can ask for assistance from but other than that you can work on your own at your own pace, as long as you don't abandon the WT for weeks on end you'll still be the owner.

I wrote an idea of how the game should be completed in the most efficient way and completed the Hints and Tips page. All you need to do is go through the campaign and point out the challenges, collectibles and the best ways to kill the target/s and complete each mission. Text form would suffice as long as you can describe these things in enough detail. I would love to finish this myself but I simply don't have the time it deserves. Oh and you'll need to mention something about the Contracts mode and how to get those achievements.

You can PM me with any questions too mate, I still remember a fair deal about this game.
