Hello and welcome to my walkthrough for Jurassic Pinball. This game is a part of a series of multiple pinball games from Super PowerUp Games with almost identical design. Each of the achievement lists for these titles are almost the exact same, with the only difference being the theme and table layout. In this walkthrough, I will go through the easiest way to get the achievements and rack up the highest score.
The controls for this game are very simple and straightforward.
You control the ball launcher by pulling back on the (I’m embarrassed to admit how long this took me to figure out!)
You control each of the ‘pegs’ relatively with the and , or alternatively you can use the and .
I found the controller's bumpers to be more comfortable in controlling the pinball bumpers, though this is down to preference.
To begin with we can get a really easy achievement, just pull back the right stick () as much as possible and don’t hit the pegs to let the ball roll into the slot at the bottom of the table. This will net you your first achievement:
Now we can get the majority of the achievements with a technique that doesn’t take any skill, just a bit of luck and patience. This should get you the 15 million score needed for all the score related achievements. I’ll provide some screenshots with some questionable editing on my end to try to explain it as best as I can.
The goal is to trigger the extra ball, as well as the 'Carnotaurus' mission. This will give you three attempts at the mission which gives 10 million points each time you complete it, meaning you only have to complete it two times. The extra ball isn’t necessarily needed here, but it gives you a safety net in case you mess up or get unlucky.
There are two ways to trigger the Carnotaurus mission. The first requires you to get the ball into the back left of the table. The ball will then loop round the top and come out on the right side of the table. See the image below for an example of when this happens:
The second way, which I personally think is a lot easier, is to do it from the start. If you look closely by the launcher, there is a small ramp which leads down, this can be used to start the mission. Most people will miss this as they will fire the ball full power up and around the top of the table, and the ball will travel over the ramp. However, if you pull back ever so slightly on the right stick, you can shoot the ball with a lot less power and essentially make the ball trickle down the lane and down the ramp. This is a lot easier than praying you get lucky to get the ball to the top left. I’ll leave an image below so you can see the ramp.
Now we have figured out how to start the mission, our next step is to finish it. After triggering it, you need to get the ball to go up the centre ramp which looks like a hook. You only have 30 seconds to do this. If you manage to do this successfully, you will have completed the mission and a clear on screen prompt will show up awarding you with 10 million points! You will be awarded 11 achievements in the process.
Unfortunately, this won’t be enough to get you 15 million points yet. There are two ways to go about getting the remaining 5 million. You can either attempt the Carnotaurus mission again by resetting yourself - by letting the ball go into the slot and doing either the ramp trick or getting it back into the top left. Or you can try to keep the ball going for the remaining 5 million. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend trying to get the remaining 5 million without the mission, as you don’t get nearly as much score and the odds of making a mistake are pretty high even if you think you are doing well. A good thing is that we now have an extra ball, just in case we mess up. So after getting the 10 million, just keep trying the Carnotaurus mission a second time. After some trial and error as well as some luck, you should hopefully get it twice in a row, earning you:
All we should need now are two more achievements, for the skill shot and multi-ball. You may have been lucky enough to get one of these by accident whilst doing the 15 million. If not, don’t worry as I’ll explain how to do them now.
For the multi-ball, it’s not really clear how to get this to trigger, but it’s definitely linked to the blue flap in the top left of the table. Some have said you must get it to spin 50 times without resetting the ball. You don’t have to hit the flap multiple times in a row, just several times with the same ball in the same life. I think I had to get it through the flap five times without losing the ball to trigger the multi-ball. I guess the flap spun more than 50 times during this, but I wasn’t really keeping count. Just do your best to keep the ball alive.
The right hand side peg is definitely more consistent in getting the ball over to that side of the table, so try your best to aim it there. Someone else said to trigger the flap once, then break all the eggs on the left side, then trigger the flap again. I cannot confirm this as I didn’t try it myself but hitting the eggs is pretty risky since the ball is fairly likely to roll down the back behind your pegs and into the slot.
Once you have gotten some good luck in hitting the back left flap, you should hopefully have triggered the multi-ball, earning you:
Hopefully you got that as pain free as possible. Just keep at it and I’m sure the RNG gods will eventually be on your side.
Now we will probably only have one more achievement left, which is the skill shot.
We are going to want to destroy the dinosaurs eggs on the right side of the table within 10 seconds of each other. This may sound like an impossible task, but it's actually not too bad. I’d personally do the trick for hitting the ball down the ramp, so you have a little more time to react as the ball will be travelling much slower. Try to get the ball to the left side peg so you can aim it better onto the right side. Again, this may take some practice and some luck, but just like the multi-ball, keep at it and eventually you should unlock your final achievement!
Thank you for using my walkthrough! This game can be a pain, especially due to the massive RNG factor, so don’t worry if it takes you a few tries. I hope my tips and tricks made the 15 million points a little easier! If you found this walkthrough helpful, please feel free to leave it a like and share with others.
