Drinking, smoking, and trying to forget what happened in the past. Max Payne starts his new life. He has a private security job, and it seems like everything is fine, but is it really? Let's find out in the story of Max Payne 3! The story is exciting, and I recommend you watch the cutscenes on your first playthrough to get the full experience! On subsequent playthroughs, it will be safe to skip those cutscenes.

Below are some of the cumulative achievements you will get during the campaign at some point. You might not get these achievements on your first playthrough, but you will get them before you finish all of your playthroughs.

You will take a lot of Painkillers during the campaign, especially on Hard, and Hardcore Difficulty. If you are low on health, press cn_up to take a Painkiller. If you're killed by an enemy and go into Last Man Standing, kill the enemy who killed you to survive. (You'll automatically take a Painkiller in this situation)

You'll need to get headshots, especially in Hard and Hardcore difficulty to help you kill the enemy faster.

Get close to a enemy, and either press cn_Y, or cn_RT to perform a melee kill. This achievement is a bit buggy, so if you don't unlock it right away, simply keep getting melee kills until it pops.

Chapter I - Something Rotten in the Air

In this chapter, there is an achievement (The Fear of Losing It), it can be easily done if you don't take a single Painkiller. So try your best not to take a Painkiller on this chapter.

- If you have less than 50% health left, I do recommend that you restart checkpoint (pause menu -> restart checkpoint), as this will bring you back to full health.

[Checkpoint 2]

Max's Starting Weapons & items - PT92 (Pistol), 4 painkillers

As soon as Max opens the door, you will learn some control tips (bullet time, shootdodge). You have to complete the tutorial before you can move. Complete it, and kill all of the enemies, then move to the windows in front of you (we will head to the room later). You should see something (golden) on the ground. That is a golden gun part, you will find these throughout the campaign.

This one is Golden PT92 Part 1 (0:05). Get close to it, and press cn_Y to pick it up. You have to collect 3 parts to complete the golden paint job (and get a special effect).

Chapter I - Golden PT92 - Part I

Head back to the living room and kill the remaining enemies here. After that, go to the wooden table, and grab the Painkiller (a bottle). Beside it, there is a magazine. This is your first clue in this game - you will also find a lot of clues throughout the campaign. (Clue 1 - Celebrity Magazine, 0:23)

Nothing left in here, so leave this room. A cutscene will start, and you have to kill the enemy during bullet time. Another cutscene will show up after that.

[Checkpoint 4]

Exit the lift, and quickly turn right, then shoot the enemy that is trying to run away. You can use bullet time to help if you need it. When you kill him, look at the pillar, and planter in front of you. Between 2 pillars, you will find Golden PT92 - Part 2 (0:52) on the ground.

Chapter I - Golden PT92 - Part 2

You will learn the cover tips when you move forward. Kill the enemies in front of you first, then an enemy carrying an M500 (Shotgun), will come to kill you. Kill him before he has a chance to shoot. Take his Shotgun (remember, there is an achievement which requires you to get a single kill with each weapon), and keep moving.

When you get close to the double doors, a cutscene shows an enemy kicking the door. You will learn the Bullet cam tutorial. Complete the tutorial, and move to the garage. You don't have to take the Mini-30 (Rifle) from him, since you are forced to use it on the next chapter.

[Checkpoint 5 - Garage B10-B18 Area]

4 enemies are in the garage, and 1 more is behind the gate. If you kill those enemies in this area (excluding the one behind the gate), the enemy behind the gate will run away.

You will automatically use a pillar as a cover. You can stay there and shoot from cover to help you kill enemies, as well as avoid getting shot. When the place is clean, head to the flashing button (beside the gate), and press cn_Y to open it.

[Checkpoint 6 - Garage B01-B09 Area]

When the gate opens, you can destroy the vehicle in this area since there is a grind (Wreckage), where you need to destroy enough vehicles to get Platinum. Head to B01 parking area, and you will find the Golden PT92 Part 3 (1:14) here. Your PT92 (Pistol) will now have a golden paint job, and more ammo in a single clip!

* If the Rear tires have smoke coming up, that means the vehicle will blow up within few seconds.

Time to move to the ground floor of the garage. When you are halfway through, you are told to find a clue. There will be a photo somewhere on the ground. That is the last clue in this chapter. Read it and keep moving. (Clue 2 - Dropped Photo, 1:33)

[Checkpoint 7 - Garage A10-A18 Area]

At this checkpoint, use the pillar as cover. Try to blow up all vehicles here, since this will mostly kill all of the enemies in this area. When smoke appears from the car, get away from it and quickly find a pillar as cover, to avoid getting shot while waiting for the vehicle to blow up.

[Checkpoint 8 - Garage Exit]

Shoot the rear tire of the car to stop it. Now stay in cover (or use all bullet time), and kill the enemies one by one to avoid getting shot at the same time. (If you haven't taken a Painkiller, then you're good). When you kill all 3 enemies, move to the back of the vehicle to rescue Rodrigo. You will be pushed to the ground at the last second.

Finish off the remaining enemies (2 enemies) in bullet time to complete this chapter.

Max will push the enemy out of the window as soon as this chapter begins. Be careful, as there is an achievement that you can only unlock here.

There are total of 6 enemies on different floors. 2 enemies on the top floor, and 4 enemies on the stairs. You will begin this part in Bullet Time (Slow Motion). Enemies will die in a single shot during this scene.

I recommend you shoot those enemies on the stairs first (4 enemies), and then the remaining enemies on the top floor. You might have difficulty killing all of them on your first attempt, but you can simply reload the checkpoint (cn_start, and choose restart checkpoint), and try again until you get this achievement.

When all of the enemies are dead, turn around and climb up to the DJ Booth from one of the sides. Go up few steps, you should find the first golden gun part of this chapter. This is Golden .38 Revolver Part 1 (0:05), pick it up.

Chapter II - Golden .38 Revolver - Part 1

Head back to the dance floor, and go up to the double doors. Remember to pick up a .38 Revolver (Pistol) from any dead enemy (You can also pick up Micro 9MM (MG) if you want), while you're heading to the double doors on top.

[Checkpoint 3 - Dance floor / VIP Room]

You will head back to the dance floor again. Use the weapon you just picked up, and kill the enemy on the dance floor first. 3 more enemies will appear in the VIP Room (where you jumped off from). 2 of them are using Micro 9MM (MG). Use Bullet time/Shootdodge (when all of them appear) to deal with them, and avoid getting shot. Another enemy will appear after you get into the VIP Room.

When no more enemies appear, search everything here. Inside the bar, there will be 1 Painkiller, and Golden Mini-30 Part 1 besides the guy (0:29), pick it up.

Chapter II - Golden Mini-30 - Part 1

You should see a flyer between some plants, and a lamp on the bar table. This is one of the clues, don't forget to read it. (Clue 2 - Nightclub Flyer, 0:37)

Now the guy who gets shot by the enemy (white T-shirt, Between the sofa and table), is a famous soccer star and also an important clue too. (Clue 1 - Dead Soccer Star, 0:56)

Leave the VIP room, and you will find 2 more enemies in different locations. Use the sofa in front of you as cover, and another pair of enemies will come from the left (North-West, which is the place you need to enter later) after you kill a single enemy here. Finish them, and get into another room.

[Checkpoint 4]

Kill the enemy in front of you inside this "flashing" walkway, and keep moving. When you are close to the stairs, there will be an enemy inside the bar killing people, and two enemies on your north-west side, plus one more in the small DJ booth on 2nd floor (also on North-west side). Kill all of them.

At the same time, some citizens are going to the bathroom (double doors) far ahead, and 4 more enemies will come through that door. When they're dead, it's time to explore this place.

Find the stairs to get to the small DJ booth on the second floor (you should see the stairs when you're going down from the "flashing" walkway), open 2 doors and you will find another golden gun part (Golden .38 Revolver Part 2, 1:28) on the ground, as well as a Painkiller on the table.

Jump to the ground from the DJ booth, and head to the bathroom (double doors). In here, there will be 2 clues. First, look at the middle stall of the bathroom, which is not locked (with green color). Get close to it, and a cutscene will trigger. (Clue 3 - Ex-Cop, 1:59)

Before you leave this place, look at the table beside another set of double doors (which has a stop sign). You should see a piece of Fabiana's dress hanging on there, so read it to discover what happened (Clue 4 - Torn Dress Piece, 2:51). Leave the bathroom to continue.

[Checkpoint 5 - Locker / Kitchen]

Find the locker that is unlocked (which has some pictures), and grab the Painkillers, then head to the kitchen and find cover. There are 4 enemies in here (2 enemies will come to the kitchen after you kill an enemy). When they die, find the radio on the right side of the kitchen. You will see a newspaper in front of it, this is another clue. (Clue 5 - Portuguese Newspaper, 3:22)

After that move to the double doors, and enter a Japanese restaurant (where the enemies were coming from).

[Checkpoint 6 - Japanese Restaurant]

When you can move, an enemy will appear on your left (smaller circle in the center of this restaurant), 5 more enemies will appear after that. Take cover, and take your time to kill them. As soon as the place is clear, head into the smaller circle in the center of this restaurant, you should find Golden Mini-30 Part 2 (3:39) on a table.

Chapter II - Golden Mini-30 - Part 2

There is a Painkiller on the counter, you can take it before you leave. Open another set of double doors, and turn left to go outside. A long cutscene will trigger. For the next part of the battle, you will be inside a helicopter.

[Checkpoint 7]

Note: If you get shot a lot and have no more health left on helicopter part, you will die instead of entering Last Man Standing, even if you have Painkillers left. You are forced to use the Mini-30 (Rifle) during the helicopter part.

* If you don't want to use a laser and want the reticle point, simply press cn_back.

On the helicopter part, your job is to protect Giovanna. Don't let anyone get close to her!

There will be 5 enemies on the helicopter pad. I recommend you get into Bullet Time first (it will fully recharge at the next checkpoint), kill the 3 enemies that are closest to you first, then the one on the left that is beside Giovanna. Last is the enemy on the right.

[Checkpoint 8-9]

First, kill the enemies on the stairs to get another checkpoint. During the next part, there will be about 8 enemies which will come out at different times (3 coming from the door that is near the stairs, 3 from the stairs, and 2 behind cover on your left).

In a normal situation, kill the 2 enemies coming from the door first -> 2 enemies on the stairs -> 2 enemies behind cover (left side) -> 1 enemy from the door again -> last enemy on the stairs. Remember, you can use bullet time if you need it.

[Checkpoint 10]

An enemy will suddenly come from the door where Giovanna is running to - quickly kill him before he shoots!

[Checkpoint 11]

4 enemies at this checkpoint: 2 will be visible at the beginning, 1 enemy on the walkway between the 3rd and 4th word, and the last one will be coming from the end (1st word on this walkway).

[Checkpoint 12]

Another rooftop battle. There are 7 enemies (1 more at the end). 3 enemies will show up at different locations at the beginning, 3 more enemies come after that, and 1 more coming last. When you kill all of them, Giovanna will get stuck on the door and say something. An enemy will suddenly kick the door, enter bullet time, or quickly kill him to complete this part.

[Checkpoint 13]

First, shoot the rocket to blow it up before it hits your helicopter. There are 4 enemies on the helicopter pad - use Bullet Time to kill them. After that, shoot another rocket to complete the helicopter part.

[Checkpoint 14]

Max's Starting Weapon & Item - Micro 9MM (MG)(.38 Revolver Pistol as a backup weapon), 0/1 Painkiller

This is a very long checkpoint, and a lot of enemies are waiting for you at different locations. You will begin this part on the helicopter pad.

Go down the stairs and get the Painkillers first, then turn right and go into the room below the helicopter pad. Besides the white sofa, you will find Golden Mini-30 Part 3 (4:09). Pick it up, and get ready for a big gunfight! Remember, you have a limited number of Painkillers, so take your time, kill the enemies from cover and avoid getting shot!

Chapter II - Golden Mini-30 - Part 3

There are 8 enemies when you are going down the stairs (before the big letters). 2 will be visible as soon as you are going down, and 6 more will come at different times.

When you can finally move to those big letters, kill the enemy in front of you first and take cover on one of the letters before you turn right. About 5 enemies will appear here. Kill them when in cover (blind-firing with a shotgun also works). Make sure nothing is left, and move again. Make another right turn, and move behind those big letters. Kill an enemy. After that don't go up - keep moving until you reach the end (the first big letter). You will find the last golden gun part of this chapter, the Golden .38 Revolver Part 3 (4:21).

Chapter II - Golden .38 Revolver - Part 3

Time to go up and kill the remaining enemies. There are 5 enemies (2 pairs, and a lone enemy). The second pair of enemies will use a shotgun. For the last enemy you need to turn right. Keep moving until you reach the door and start going down, you should see a necklace on the ground halfway through - this is the last clue in this chapter (Clue 6 - Goivanna's Necklace, 4:40). Read the clue, then keep going down until you find another door to complete this chapter.

[Checkpoint 2]

Since you get shot by a sniper, quickly run to the entrance in front of you, and then follow Passos until you get some help from him.

[Checkpoint 3]

Max's Starting Weapon & Item - PT92 (Pistol), 3 Painkillers

You will begin this checkpoint behind cover. You will have two options in this part - either Shoot, or keep quiet. If you choose to shoot, there are 6 gang members coming (3 from the left side, and 3 coming from the double doors on your right) to kill both of you.

3 enemies are using the M4 Super 90 (Shotgun) to kill you in this part. Since you don't have any bullet time at the beginning, stay in cover and kill them one by one to get this weapon.

If you choose to keep quiet, just wait for the enemies move to the double doors on your right, a short cutscene will trigger, and you are free to move after that.

When the place is clear, head back to the first aid room behind you to get a Painkiller. The small office beside it will have a clue. Look at the big Picture on the wall when you are there, read it to get more information about this picture (Clue 2 - Picture of Victor, 0:18).

Follow Passos to the elevator. Before we push the flashing button, look at the door beside the elevator. You should see some blood on that door. Read it to get more information (Clue 1 - Blood Stained Door, 0:36). After that, push the flashing button to trigger a cutscene.

[Checkpoint 4]

Move into the room, where Passos will talk to a wounded gang member. You can either shoot him/wait for the conversation complete/move behind him to trigger a cutscene, 4 gang members come to this room, and the battle begins once again. I do recommend you take cover behind the cart (left side of that dead gang member), and start shooting. If you got the shotgun at a previous checkpoint, use it to kill them. Remember to refill your ammo (for Pistol/MG) after that.

Clean up the place and move in the room that's full of cameras (you can see them through windows), you will find the first golden gun part in this chapter - Golden M10 Part 1 (0:53).

Chapter III - Golden M10 - Part I

Go through the double doors in front of Passos to the hallway. Suddenly, a gang member will jump out from the door on your left. Kill him before he shoots, as he will use M4 Super 90 (Shotgun) to kill you! After that, move into that room to get the Painkiller (where the guy jumped out from), and follow Passos until you reach the top of the stairs to another room. (If you haven't gotten this weapon at a previous checkpoint, get it from this guy. We will use it to get some blind-fire kills)

[Checkpoint 6 - Gift Shop]

You will begin this part behind cover again. This time you will face different enemies. They will wear Light Body Armor. In this kind of situation, you should use Bullet Time, and aim for the head. There are 4 enemies, 2 of them are hiding behind the wall and carrying another new weapon (MPK (MG)), but first, kill the enemies that are coming from the right in bullet time, since he carries a shotgun. After that, kill the remaining enemies one by one (or use the Shotgun to blind-fire kill the enemies). Remember to pick up the MPK (MG) and a Painkiller inside the counter, and bathroom when the place is clean.

Turn around from the counter you used to take cover, and explore the area. You should be able to find Golden M82A1 Part 1 (1:21) on one of the white shelves. (The area behind the counter)

Chapter III - Golden M82A1 - Part 1

When done, meet up with Passos to trigger a cutscene.

[Checkpoint 7]

Follow Passos to go through a set of double doors, you will once again have 2 options - either shoot, or keep quiet and wait for them to pass. On this part I do recommend you wait for them to pass, since some enemies will shoot from above you, but this is your decision to shoot or wait.

If you choose to shoot, there are about 7 enemies, 4 of them are above you (different location), and 3 enemies are on the same level (last enemy will come from the door in front of you when everyone is dead). Take your time to deal with them.

[Checkpoint 8 - After all enemies left/Die]

Remember to get the Painkillers, then look at the wall on the right side of this place (with some blood on it). Read it to find out what happened. (Clue 3 - Blood Stained Hallway, 2:08)

Chapter III - Clue 3 - Blood Stained Hallway

Time to move. Go through the door beside your ally. If you haven't used the MPK (MG) during an earlier checkpoint, use it here since the enemy on top of the walkway will die in a single shot, no matter what weapon hits his body.

Pick up another Painkiller, and get into the room where the sniper tried to kill you earlier. There are 2 enemies, but they are hiding behind cover. Take your time to deal with them. (A cutscene will trigger after that)

[Checkpoint 9 - Stadium Audience Seat]

Passos will assist you with the sniper rifle, but you still have to kill some enemies. You can take cover behind the yellow sign (almost every staircase will have a sign next to it that you can take cover behind). This checkpoint has 4 enemies, and at least 1 of them will be killed by Passos. Kill the remaining enemies before they kill you.

Before you move forward, move to the bottom of the stairs, and turn left. There will be another golden gun part on the ground - Golden M10 Part 2 (2:26).

Chapter III - Golden M10 - Part 2

Go back to the top of the stairs, and get close to the gate. Prepare yourself for a tough gunfight!

[Checkpoint 10]

Stay alert on this checkpoint, since 2 enemies will attack from the bottom of the stairs (which is on your left). First kill those enemies in front of you.

There are a total of 6 enemies (3 will be visible at the beginning, and 3 will come later when you kill some enemies on the same level). As soon as you kill them, quickly kill the enemies on the stairs (on your left). At last, move to the end of this place, but take cover beside the stairs first, since 2 more enemies are hiding on top of the stairs. Finish them and grab the Painkillers. Get close to the double doors to trigger another cutscene.

[Checkpoint 11 - VIP Lounge]

This is one of the hardest parts of this chapter, although you will start this part by taking cover behind a pillar, that pillar is not safe. There are 4 enemies on your left (behind the pillar), and about 3 above you right at the beginning. You have to plan your actions carefully, because when you deal with the enemies on the right side of the pillar, enemies may try to flank you on the left side of the pillar.

Also at this checkpoint, enemies can throw a grenade at your position. This will force you to get out of the cover. Whatever way you use to kill them, a few more enemies will appear far ahead (close to the end of the hallway). Kill them and start looking for a golden gun part, and clue here.

First, look to your left. Find the audience seat in the middle of this room. On one of the seats (middle one) that's closest to the window, you will find Golden M10 Part 3 (3:00).

Chapter III - Golden M10 - Part 2

There are 2 Painkillers in the bar (a few steps away from the seat), a few more steps away from it you will see a big picture of a soccer star. Remember the guy that got killed in the Nightclub? Stand in front of it to read the clue (Clue 4 - Soccer Star Memorial, 3:23), then leave this VIP Lounge and push the flashing elevator button to trigger a cutscene.

[Checkpoint 12]

All enemies are on the bottom of the stairs (6 in total), and will equip flashlights to their weapons. If you have Bullet Time, this will make your life easier.

If you don't, I do have another option for you - keep using shootdodge at the top of the stairs (left and right), until you kill all of them.

Whatever option you choose, when you kill all of them, a cutscene will trigger showing another sniper trying to kill you. Before you head over to him, go to the opposite side when you are on the bottom of the stairs until you can turn left. You will find the second golden gun part for the M82A1 Sniper Rifle on the ground. (Golden M82A1 Part 2, 3:43)

Chapter III - Golden M82A1 - Part 2

At last, head over to the sniper. Grab the Painkillers when you enter the gate, then open the door and kill the sniper, and another enemy on the ground to trigger another cutscene.

[Checkpoint 13-14]

In the following part, you have to use the M82A1 sniper rifle to protect Passos when he tries to run away from the enemy. He will tell you all of the enemy positions through the mic. This part also has an achievement that you can unlock. The requirement is to kill all enemies without missing a single shot (100% accuracy!), so try your best, and use bullet time to help get this achievement. All enemies will die in a single shot in this part.

There are a total of 14 enemies (7 in each checkpoint) you need to kill with the sniper rifle. You have to protect Passos through 2 checkpoints, so try not to mess up at Checkpoint 14, or you'll have to start again at Checkpoint 13 for another attempt.

Aim at the enemies bodies to avoid missing a single shot. Here is a video if you need some help.

The achievement will unlock when you kill the last enemy. Take a break after that, since there will be a long cutscene that can't skipped.

[Checkpoint 15]

You will begin this part by taking cover. About 2-3 enemies are moving on top of the stairs. Wait until they are visible and then kill them in cover. Don't worry about the sniper when you are moving up unless you move too slow...

When you are on top of the stairs, don't move inside. Instead turn right, and move to the end of this walkway until you are blocked by the gate. You will find the last part of the Golden M82A1 on the ground (Golden M82A1 Part 3, 4:06).

Chapter III - Golden M82A1 - Part 3

Now go back and move inside. There are about 2-3 enemies waiting for you. Shoot them before they get a chance to kill you.

Climb up the ladder, and 3 more enemies will appear. I do recommend you take cover on your right after you climb up here, as cover is very limited in this place. Wait until they come, then kill them (or use Blind-fire to kill them). Move to the end of the walkway, and climb up another ladder.

When done, this place will not have any cover to help you, so use Bullet Time or Shootdodge. 3 enemies appear in front of you, and they will use Micro 9MMs (MG) to kill you. Kill them when in Bullet Time or Shootdodge, and avoid getting shot. At last, turn right to trigger an "action" cutscene.

[Checkpoint 16 - Tower]

Max will break the window to get inside the tower. All you have to do here is shoot the sniper to complete this chapter.

[Checkpoint 3]

There are 4 enemies on the ground, but the first one will be killed by your partner Passos. The remaining will be around the pool table. When you kill them, the last enemy will appear on the second floor with a M4 Super 90 (Shotgun). Finish him!

When you've completed the fight, head to the front door (which is behind you at the beginning of the fight). On the opposite side of the bar, you will find the first golden gun part for the 1911 pistol. (Golden 1911 Part 1, 0:05)

Chapter IV - Golden 1911 - Part 1

Also, 2 Painkillers are inside the bar, take them and head to the second floor (where the last enemy shows up). There will be another 1911 golden gun part. (Golden 1911 Part 2, 0:38)

Head to the ground floor, and go through the back door to continue.

[Checkpoint 4 - Underground Floor]

You will have only a small amount of time to kill the enemies (3 enemies) in front of you, as they "just" found out that you are here. Kill them before they have a chance to shoot. There are about 4 enemies taking cover behind the serving window on your left, and 1 more in front of you. You can use the bar table to take cover (2 extra Painkillers are there too) and kill them.

When the place is clear, head to the double doors to continue.

[Checkpoint 5]

As soon as you begin, 5 enemies, and 2 vehicles are in front of you. First, shoot the vehicle to blow it up (this will kill the enemies around it). 3 more goons will be coming from your top left side. Stay in cover to kill them. Your partner will also help you kill some of them to make your life easier.

When the fight is over, head to the bottom of the stairs (where you began this part). You will find the last 1911 golden gun part somewhere on the ground (Golden 1911 Part 3, 0:59).

Chapter IV - Golden 1911 - Part 3

Now go up again, then move to the alley in front of your partner to trigger another cutscene.

[Checkpoint 6]

3 vehicles and more enemies arrive. I highly recommend you to blow up the vehicles in this alley, since most of the enemies stand around the vehicle. Your partner also will help you kill some of them later. Take out all of the enemies to complete this part.

[Checkpoint 8]

Max's Starting Weapon & Item - 1911 (Pistol), 1 Painkiller

You will start behind cover and face the hallway. After Passos leaves, 3 enemies will try to chase him (coming out at different times), but fail. Aim at them and shoot. After that, explore your own apartment.

First, get the Painkiller on the table (including another 1911 pistol). Besides the kitchen is one more Painkiller in the bathroom, so take that one too. After that, head to the sofa. A small table is behind it, and you will find a badge on that table. This is your first clue (Clue 1 - Max's NYPD Badge, 1:33).

On the left side of the sofa, you will find a new golden gun part for the M500 Shotgun (Golden M500 Part 1, 1:49). Get it and leave your apartment. If you want to take the M4 Super 90 (Shotgun). You can find it between the bookshelf, and your bedroom.

Chapter IV - Golden M500 - Part 1

Keep moving down the hallway, and use the cover between the 2nd and 3rd window, to face the enemies that are shooting from the rooftop a with green laser attached on their gun. At this point there is an achievement, so you have to stay here and kill all of them to unlock the achievement. Remember you can use bullet time and cover to help.

After that, move again and find the dead body in this hallway to get a new weapon (M10 (MG)). We will use it to kill at least one enemy later, but is up to you since you are forced to use it somewhere in Chapter 10.

Head to Brewer's apartment after the cutscene (on your right). Get the Painkiller on the white table (a few bomb models are around it), and read the notebook to get another clue. (Clue 2 - Brewer's Journal, 2:07)

In the same room, there is a wall that has a lot of newspapers on it (beside the bathroom). (Clue 3 - Newspaper Clippings, 2:23)

Now head to where Brewer blew himself, and the goons up. Then turn right. Before you going up, turn right again and get into the apartment that was nearly wrecked by the explosion. You will find a Golden SAF 40 Part 1 (2:37) somewhere on the ground inside this apartment.

Chapter IV - Golden SAF 40 - Part 1

Move up to the rooftop, and prepare for another gunfight.

[Checkpoint 9 - Rooftop]

As soon as you reach the rooftop, 3 goons are in front of you, and 2 more on your North-East side. Use cover/bullet time to kill the goons in front of you, and those remaining in cover. Turn around when you're done, go all the way to the end and turn right (the back of where you got to the rooftop). You will find another golden gun part for the M500 Shotgun (Golden M500 Part 2, 2:52).

Chapter IV - Golden M500 - Part 2

Move forward again until you have to jump. About 3-4 enemies are waiting for you. Find cover, and kill them one by one. After you jump, take cover and blow up the yellow propane tank in front of you. Some goons will be killed by that. Stay in cover and wait for the remaining goons show up, then kill them.

Climb to the top and use the M10 (MG) if you picked it up earlier, then you'll trigger a cutscene.

[Checkpoint 10 - Water Tower]

You will begin this part in bullet time. There are 6 enemies in front of you, and you have to kill all of them before the water tower drops to the ground (cutscene). Otherwise you will be killed by an enemy in the cutscene.

[Checkpoint 11 - Rooftop]

When your can move, turn left first (your partner will turn right), and go all the way to the end. Look at the ground beside a picnic table, you should find a second golden gun part for SAF 40 (MG) (Golden SAF 40 Part 2, 3:09).

Go back, and meet up with your partner.

[Checkpoint 12]

At this checkpoint, some enemies are using new weapons (AK-47 (Rifle)). Remember to kill them and pick up this weapon, then get at least one kill with it later. However, there will be a lot of opportunities to let you find, and use this weapon later, so don't fret if you miss it.

Most of the enemies will appear behind the wall and take cover, but at least 2 enemies are visible at the beginning. Find cover, and take them out one by one.

[Checkpoint 13]

Going up to another floor, where 4 more enemies are waiting for you. Use the cover just few steps away from the stairs, and wait for the enemy to pop their head and body out to kill them. (2 Painkillers are on the white cart behind those goons)

When the place is clear, head back to the stairs and find a way to get outside (Wrecked Wall, see the screenshot below)/start from the stairs, keep moving until you have to turn left to find the final golden gun part for M500 Shotgun (Golden M500 Part 3, 3:38).

Chapter IV - Golden M500 - Part 3

Meet Passos again to trigger another cutscene, then get ready for another shootout.

[Checkpoint 14 - Chop Shop Shootout]

At this checkpoint, there will be a lot of enemies, but the hardest part is to avoid enemies flanking you from your right side. This means that bullets not only come from in front of you, but on your side too. First, shoot the big Propane Tank in front of you to kill some enemies. Then wait for a few seconds and look at the door on your right, when the reinforcements arrive from outside, an enemy will come from the door on your right, kill him first before you kill the remaining enemies that are in front of you.

When the battle finally ends, get inside the small room on your right to get the Painkiller, a few steps away from it on a table, you will find the last golden gun part for the SAF 40 (MG) (Golden SAF 40 Part 3, 4:04).

Chapter IV - Golden SAF 40 - Part 3

Grab the M4 Super 90 (Shotgun) from the dead body, and find Passos again, wait for him to open the gate. Now be ready for the last gunfight of this chapter.

[Checkpoint 15]

Cover may not be the best option here, but you still have to use it. Don't use the same piece of cover that your partner does, as some of the enemies will come from the walkway on the right side, so use the cover over there. If you have the shotgun, you can get a lot of short range, Blind-fire kills (Guesswork Grind), get some use from it, and kill all of the enemies to complete this chapter.

Move forward and you will see a helicopter in front of you, get close to it to get the first clue on this chapter (Clue 1 - Parked Helicopter, 0:05), then keep moving until you reach a half-opened door to trigger a cutscene.

Chapter V - Clue 1 - Parked Helicopter

[Checkpoint 3]

There are 2 enemies around the vehicle. Based on your actions:

If you alert them, 3 more gang members will come to kill you. If you're going for stealth (kill them before they are alerted), then no reinforcements will arrive.

When done, move inside the gate and find a way to get into the house.

[Checkpoint 4]

5 enemies are inside this house, so as soon as you can move, 2 enemies will be visible by the breakable window, and 3 enemies will come in later in different locations, so it's up to you on how to kill them. Some enemies will be holding a new weapon 608 Bull (Pistol), this is another revolver, and it;s quite powerful. So remember to grab it, and use it to kill at least one enemy later.

After the battle, find the table where the small TV is placed, you will find a new clue (Clue 2 - Ransom Note, 0:54). There is a Painkiller on the shelf, and One painkiller on the wall too.

Chapter V - Clue 2 - Ransom Note

Before you head to the gate, on the left side you will find the first Ammo Crate on the ground, as well as a Micro 9MM (MG). Grab it if you want. Now open the gate, and prepare for another shootout.

[Checkpoint 5]

As soon as you open the gate, 3 enemies are in front of you. Enter bullet time/shootdodge to kill them, then one more enemy is standing on top of the container (on your right), kill him. A few seconds later, a guy with a shotgun will suddenly appear, so be careful.

Climb up to those wooden boxes between the container, and climb up to a yellow container in front of it to get the first golden gun part for Micro 9MM (MG)(Golden Micro 9MM Part 1, 1:17).

Chapter V - Golden Micro 9MM - Part 1

At the same time, there is a gang member in front of you and 3 more enemies ahead. Take your time, use bullet time and take cover to avoid get shot, kill the enemies on here.

Not far ahead when you turn left, another enemy with a shotgun will appear and about 4-5 enemies are in front of you, quickly kill the enemy that carry shotgun and take cover to kill the remaining enemies.

At last, one more enemy with a shotgun will kick the gate on your North-West side, kill him and move into another house.

[Checkpoint 6]

Get the Painkiller on the table, then find the camera. Remember what you watched earlier? That is the camera, so read it to get the clue (Clue 3 - Video Camera, 1:47).

Chapter V - Clue 3 - Video Camera

Move outside of the house and move forward, then turn right. You should see the second golden gun part for Micro 9MM (MG) (Golden Micro 9MM Part 2, 2:06) on the ground. At last, move up the stairs and go into another house. (Remember to equip the Micro 9MM, as at the next checkpoint you will be able to get an achievement. Using this weapon will make it easier).

Here is a route that I suggest taking. Try to adjust your aiming speed to a lower number (about 4-5 is great), also don't use lock-on as this will slow down your aiming speed a lot.

Suggest route for Something Wicked this way achievement

Below there is a video showing 4 (4-4-4), & 5 (5-5-5) aiming speed, to kill all enemies before touching the ground.

When you kill all of them and unlock the achievement, an enemy will suddenly come from right in front of you, try to kill him before he shoots you. 2 more enemies will appear on the second floor, find cover and kill them, then explore the area before you open the gate.

First, head to the second floor and go all the way to the end, you will find the last golden gun part for Micro 9MM (MG)(Golden Micro 9MM Part 3, 2:22).

Second, head to the small room that's on the ground floor (below the place where you found the last golden gun part of the Micro 9MM). There is a Painkiller on the wall, and a picture on the desk. That is a clue, so take a look at it (Clue 4 - Branco Family Photo, 2:57).

At last, push the flashing button to open the gate.

[Checkpoint 8]

Exit the house. Suddenly 2 enemies will kick the door on your right, quickly shoot them before they get a chance to kill you. Then look to your left side, there is an ammo crate, a FAL (Rifle) and a M500 (Shotgun) are inside it. I recommend you pick up the FAL (Rifle), as it has some good range. Save it for the dock fight later (kill at least 1 enemy with it).

Head inside the house, you will find at least 2 enemies on the ground floor, and 1 more on the second floor. When you kill them, 2 more enemies will come from the gate (same floor), and 1 more on the second floor, take cover and kill them. Just lookout, as they may have a chance to throw a grenade at you. Explore the area after that.

On the right side of the table (ground floor), you will find a newspaper, read it to get more information about it. (Clue 5 - Boathouse Newspaper, 3:14)

On the left side of the table, there will be a small room. Enter it and look at the desk. This is a clue about the NightClub in Chapter 2! (Clue 6 - NightClub Floor Plans, 3:33)

Remember to grab the Painkillers inside this small room too before you leave.

After that, head to the gate opened by the enemy, then move into one of the containers. There should be one golden gun part inside the container (Golden LMG .30 Part 1, 4:03). At last, go up and open another gate, then prepare for a tough fight.

[Checkpoint 9]

This is one of the hardest parts in this chapter. As soon as you open the gate, a gang member (with a Micro 9MM) will appear on the lower level, take him out as quick as you can, then take cover between the 2 windows. You have to face about 9 more enemies here, so take your time to kill them.

Be careful, as enemies may throw a grenade, make sure you don't stand too close to it since no matter how much health you have, you will die if you are too close.

When Max's dialogue begins, this mean the place is clear. Pick up some ammo from dead bodies, then open the gate ahead of you.

Get into the small house on your right to pick up a Painkiller, then head to the storage (You will face it after you open the gate) and search inside. You will find Golden LMG .30 Part 2 (4:32) on the ground beside those barrels.

Chapter V - Golden LMG .30 Part 2

Now move to the house beside the storage, get inside to pick up some Painkillers, then push the button to begin the next part.

[Checkpoint 10 - Dock]

Cross the bridge and find a box on your first left, then turn as a enemy will appear. Kill him before he shoots you. You will alert the enemies on the dock now, stay in cover. A boat will appear outside the dock (Right -> Left), and the enemies (2 enemies) inside the boat will carry the RPD (MG), one hit from that, and you will lose a lot of health. You can either stay here until the boat leaves, or use Bullet Time to kill them.

Turn right and go forward, a few more enemies will appear on a different part of the dock. I do suggest you take cover behind a box (before your first right turn on the dock). Now stay there, enemies will try to flank you on the boat (your North-East side), and some more on the walkway. Try to perform some Blind-fire kills with your Micro 9MM (MG), or Shotgun until everyone's dead.

When all of them are dead, search the area. Remember the place where the girl was being held, before she was taken out by the gang member again? Here is where your last golden gun part for LMG .30 will be (Golden LMG .30 Part 3, 5:16).

Chapter V - Golden LMG .30 Part 3

When you pick it up, start moving to the gate in front of you, inside the boat (on your left) there is another Painkiller. Remember to take it for extra health.

[Checkpoint 11 - Dock]

This checkpoint is longer than the previous checkpoint, and you have to deal with more enemies.

Quickly take cover behind the box in front of you, 2 enemies with the Micro 9MM (MG) will come to shoot you, then a boat will also come a few seconds later. Shoot the enemies on the dock first, then use bullet time to deal with the enemies on the boat. Next, there will be a few more enemies in front of you after you make a left turn. (One on the boat on your left, one directly in front of you, and about 2-3 more enemies on the boat in front of you. Take cover behind a box), find a way to complete this part.

Turn left, and there should be a house at the end of the walkway, if you are close enough, 2 enemies will come out from that house. Use the propane tank on the walkway beside the stairs to kill them (there is a Painkiller inside of that house, and a FAL (Rifle) too). Stay alert, as on the other side of the bridge there will be about 2-3 enemies.

Kill the enemies on the other side of the bridge when you are crossing it. When you turn left and move few steps, another boat will appear outside of the dock (on your left), make sure to use cover/Bullet Time to deal with them. At last, kill the remaining enemies on the dock, then move to the last gate to trigger a cutscene.

[Checkpoint 13 - Boat]

* During the Boat chasing part, if your boat takes too much damage, it will blow up and kill you. Your boat will be at full health again once you reach one of the checkpoints. During this part, you are forced to use the LMG .30 (MG) to kill the enemy, and blow up the boat. (You have unlimited bullets, but your gun will overheat if you shoot too much in a short amount of time)

Two boats will come as soon as this part begin, take them out. You can choose to blow up the boat, or kill the enemy on the boat. I recommend you kill the enemy on the boat, as there is an achievement you can work on during this part.

Two more boats will appear, but there are some trees blocking your sight of them. A cutscene will trigger when you proceed.

[Checkpoint 14]

Shoot the Molotov and continue to kill the enemies on the boats, and bridge. At least a few Molotovs will be thrown at you, these will come at different times from the boat in front of you (some enemies will pop their heads up too). Another cutscene will trigger after you turn left.

[Checkpoint 15]

Since your boat gets hit by a grenade, your partner will try to fix it, this will also negate any damage the boat took during the previous part. At this checkpoint, there is an achievement that you can obtain.

During this part, there are over 20 enemies at different locations (a few enemies are in groups). Kill the enemies as quickly as you can. You should be able to obtain this at the part where you need to blow up the dock (Big Yellow Propane Tank).

If you can't obtain this, there will be more chances to unlock it at a later point in the story.

[Checkpoint 16]

At this checkpoint, you have to blow up the vehicles in front of you. There should be about 5-6 vehicles, try to blow them up as soon as possible since this will also decrease the chance of your boat taking damage.

[Checkpoint 17]

This part will include a lot of boats, so try to kill the enemies on the boats, then blow up the boat as soon as possible. Do this until another cutscene shows up.

[Checkpoint 18]

During this checkpoint, I recommend you to have full bullet time (Enemies firing bullets at you will increase your bullet time a bit). When you have full bullet time, there should be a lot of enemies on a different boat, now is time to unlock this achievement.

You have to kill 10 enemies in a single use of bullet time, so use all of your bullet time to attempt this one. If you miss it, there will be other chances to unlock this in later parts of the story.

A cutscene will trigger later.

[Checkpoint 19]

Now you will use the DE .50 (Pistol), and you have to kill 4 enemies on the boat in front of you (don't kill Fabiana on the boat, or you will fail the mission!) to complete this chapter. This achievement will unlock as soon as you complete it.
