Chapter 3-1: Lost in the Dark

Starting off this level, you will notice it is quite dark. There are a few things that emit light, but the most useful one is the magic marker. If you can't see anything, just press cn_RT, and it will light up most of the area around it. Go to the right and raise a pillar up, then crawl through the tunnel further to the right. After you get through, there is a mushroom in the background. These are somewhat useful, because they will continue to stay bright for a while after you light them up with the magic marker. Further to the right is another one. Shine the light from the magic marker and jump onto the platform above it. From here, you should be able to see an evil eye to your left on the wall. Evil eye 31 of 75.

Jump to the right again and go through another crawlspace. You will slide down a long slope and drop into a room with 3 blue and 3 orange holes. They look eerily like portals from the popular game, Portal. They work in much the same way too. Go into one, and you will come out the one linked to it of the opposite color. There is also a green branch node. First, draw that out down and to the left so it can catch you from the orange portal on top and lead you to the white hole to the left.

Then drop down to the left, but be careful since there is a pit a little further to the left that will kill you. Go through this bottom portal, and it will take you to the left side. Now drop through the blue portal on the bottom, and it will transport you onto the branch above you. Now you can go through the white hole to the left. Inside there is an earth node. The pillar from this node will take you very far up.

Walk to the right, and there will be a block. Push it all the way to the wall to the right and climb up it. Continue to climb up and to the right until you find another evil eye. Evil eye 32 of 75. Now you can drop back down and push the block to the mushroom to the left. There is a ledge above them. Climb up the first one, and then there is another just above that. Here there is a hole in the wall that is very hard to see to your left. Crawl through it.

This room is somewhat harder to navigate since you can't see where you are, and there are some pits that will instantly kill you. Jump up to the ledge to the left. Don't jump up to the right as there is a wall creature that will kill you. Keep crawling to the left, and there will be another ledge. Once you jump onto it, the camera will change so that you can see a vine node above you. Draw it straight down, climb up it, and jump off to the right.

For this next section, pull out your magic marker to light the way every couple of steps. There are 3 pits until you get to the next hole, and you can't see any of them unless you have the magic marker out. Once you make it through the hole, light the room up with the magic marker again. There is a small platform below you that you will have to jump to without the light. Once you land on it, you will be able to see another vine node. Draw this one slightly to the right so that it swings. Jump onto it and climb to the bottom of it. Now you'll be aiming for a platform down and to the right. If you can't see it, just pull out the magic marker and move it down there.

Once you make the landing, there will be two ledges to jump up to the right. If you pull out your magic marker, you will see that there is an insect-like statue to the upper right and a ledge above you. So jump to the ledge to the right and then left onto that ledge. Jump up two more ledges, and you'll finally be able to see the amulet piece above you. There is a branch node to the left of it, which you should draw straight out.

Next cut the vine that you used earlier and redraw it so it connects to the branch. Climb up it and jump over to the amulet piece. If you have some trouble with it, you may have to redraw the vine so it connects to the right side of the branch. Amulet piece 8 of 18. Now you can drop straight and go to the insect statue that lights up to the right. For the next area, keep pulling out the magic marker to see the platforms and don't fall down the pits. After 2 pits, there is another insect statue.

In the next area, there are two plateaus and then another vine node. Draw it slightly to the right so it swings. You will have to jump from the swinging vine to a platform to the right. Use the magic marker to see it, and make sure you swing hard enough, or you won't be able to make the jump. Now there will be a vine node above you. You can just draw it straight down and climb up it.

At the top, jump right and then onto the platform that the node was on. There's another plateau to the left and a vine node above that. Draw it slightly to the left so it swings back towards you. There is a platform with a mushroom on it up and to the left, so you will have to swing pretty hard to get up there. Climb up another plateau and swing across another vine to get to another hole with white light shining through it.

The next room is a vertical shaft with a branch node above you. Draw a backwards "C-shape" so you can jump onto both parts of the branch. Then stand on the tiny platform above it and destroy the branch. Now you'll have to redraw it so it goes straight up and then right, so you will have something to climb onto above you. When you get to the top, there is an evil eye above you. To get to it, jump to the right, and then jump towards it and press cn_Y in the air. Evil eye 33 of 75.

Now you can crawl through a short passage to the left and another hole to the left. This room will have two earth nodes. To start off, ride the earth node to the right all the way up. There will be a block to the right. Pull it out and then push it off the ledge to the left. Before falling down, make sure to go to the right. Crawl through a passage, and there will be a branch node and an evil eye up and to the right of it. Draw the branch towards the evil eye and grab it. Evil eye 34 of 75.

Now go back to the room with the two earth nodes and push the block onto the node on the left side. Jump on top of the block and draw the pillar all the way up. Jump up and to the left to another insect statue. Be very careful in the next section as there are a lot of creatures that will instantly kill you. Start crawling through the passage. Don't crawl too far, though, because you can be eaten by the creature on the other side. There's just enough space to jump to the platform above the crawlspace and not get eaten. Above this platform is another creature to the right. Carefully jump onto the same level as the creature and then to the platform to the left.

Next jump on the the platforms above the creature to another insect statue. Crawl to the right and STAY crawling, or the creature above you will get you. Jump up to the ledge on the right and start crawling again past another creature. There will be an insect statue and a branch node. Draw the branch node to the right and slightly upwards. Now stand on it. You might not know it, but there are 4 of those creatures below you, and they can reach you if you don't draw the branch slightly up. Now draw a vine from the node from the right to the branch, and try to make as short a route as possible. If you draw it too long, it will sag and may not be safe to traverse.

Cross the pit and drop down to the right to a ledge. To the right, there is a vine node which you can draw straight down. Don't climb all the way down though! Just climb to the bottom and swing to the right. After you make the gap, there will be another vine node and an evil eye to the right. Below you, it looks like a pit, but it's actually hiding an earth node. Fall down it, and then ride the pillar all the way up and use the vine to swing over to grab the evil eye. Evil eye 35 of 75.

Now you can continue to the right. You'll slide down a little section, and then climb up the ledges to the right and keep pulling out the magic marker. When you get to the top, a story achievement should unlock.

Jump down to the two plateaus below and then onto the very thin one. This one will break and fall to the right. Jump off to the next one, and that one will start falling too. Jump off before it hits the platform. Draw a vine to the right so it swings, and then use it to cross the pit. You're about to get faked out, so don't relax yet.

Climb towards the hole and the plateaus will fall. Stay on the right side as it falls and slide down it on the right side of it. The next slope has two pits you'll have to jump over. The slope after that has a pit and then a jump at the end to enter slo-mo. Quickly draw the vine down and to the left so you will grab it before falling. Then jump off the slope onto another platform which will slowly fall. Jump before it falls all the way, and crawl through the hole and into the next level.

Chapter 3-2: Lantern Bugs

This level starts out with a conversation with the old lady. Just keep running right, and you will come to a patch of light on the ground with fireflies flying up above. The game calls them "lantern bugs", but for simplicity's sake, they will just be called fireflies. When you step into the light, the fireflies they will follow you, and once you leave the light, they will stop following you and return to their original position. Just run through the light quickly and jump over the pit. Furhter to the right, the old lady will tell you to trap some more fireflies under a branch. Draw one that goes straight out a short length and then straight down. Then cut it off and trap all of them under it.

To the right, draw a branch to pass over the pit. Shortly after that, ride a pillar all the way to the top where there are some more fireflies and a vine node. Draw the vine node to the right so it swings and swats all of the fireflies to the left. Jump under the vine and go to the right. There is a branch node on the left edge and a vine node hanging from one of the platforms. Draw the branch node diagonally up and right so it goes over as many fireflies as possible. Then draw the vine so it goes over the rest of them and then connects to the branch. It should be drawn through the middle of the two platforms but above the group above that. Disconnect it at the node, and you are safe to continue.

To the right is an earth node. Ride the pillar from it to the top, and you should see an evil eye above you. To get up there, destroy the vine that you just drew to the left. Then redraw it so it drapes over the platform above the earth pillar. If it falls, just redraw it. Then climb up it and grab the evil eye. Evil eye 36 of 75. Keep going to the right a ways, and there will be a branch node above you and a lot of fireflies in front of you. Draw a branch that goes straight out half of the way and then straight down. Stand under it and destroy it. If done properly, you should be under the "triangle", and you are able to push it. This will shield you from the fireflies to the right.

After you pass that set of fireflies, you can continue to the right until you come to a large hollow, rotting log. As you can probably guess, the log breaks and leads you to a new area, and you should be able to see an evil eye to your right that you can't get to quite yet. You have to move somewhat quickly as the log won't hold for very long. To the right of you, there is a vine node. Draw it to the left so it swings towards you and then jump onto it. Now the log will fall.

Next, draw a branch straight out from the node to the right. Swing and then jump onto it and grab the evil eye. Evil eye 37 of 75. Now stand in the direct middle of the branch and detach it at the node. If you are balanced, you will fall straight down, and the branch will float on the water. To the left, there will be an amulet piece. Amulet piece 9 of 18. Now ride the pillar all the way up and try to steer it to the right at the same time by holding cn_LSur as you draw it.

Now if the vine you drew before isn't swinging far enough, you can destroy it and redraw it. You'll also want to draw the branch straight out again. Then jump on the vine and swing over to the branch. While you are standing on it, you will see another branch node above the vine. Draw this one out with a slight downward slope. Redraw the vine so it connects to the tip of the branch. Then detach the vine at the node. It should be long enough to reach. If it's not, you can walk to the left so you are on solid ground and redraw the branch you are standing on so it has an upwards slope.

Once you are able to get to the branch on top, there will be another node up and to the right. This one is a very long vine node that you can draw down to the branch you are standing on. You are able to climb this all the way to the top. Run to the right, and you will see two branch nodes and a bunch of fireflies. There is also an evil eye above the right node. To solve this one, it is easiest to draw a large half circle that goes over all the fireflies with the left branch node. Then detach it. This should trap all of the fireflies. Draw the right branch mostly straight out. Then jump up to it and go over to the evil eye. Evil eye 38 of 75.

Now you can simply jump down and run to the right until you come to a huge firefly area with a vine node, a branch node, an earth node, and an evil eye in the bottom right corner. To start this section, draw the vine all the way around the fireflies. It should pull all of the fireflies to the ground and closer to you. Then destroy it and quickly redraw it around all of the fireflies again. This should pull them all a little closer to you. The goal is to move them all the way to the left so you can jump over them. When they are to this point, leave the vine there and jump over it to the right. Then grab the evil eye. Evil eye 39 of 75. Now ride the earth pillar all the way to the top and extend the branch out.

Continue to the right until you come to a branch node on the ground. Draw it up and to the right to reach an evil eye there. Evil eye 40 of 75. Then destroy the branch and redraw it so it is a large half circle. Detach it at the node, and push and pull it to the left. You will have to push it into the red vine pit a little bit. Then jump onto and draw a vine to the left so it swings towards you. Swing over to the right and continue to the right until you get to a large area with fireflies, two branch nodes, and a vine node. Extend the branch nodes straight out. Then connect the vine to the branch on the top. Then disconnect the vine at the node, and that should trap all the fireflies. Then drop all the way down and go to the right to finish the level.

Chapter 3-3: Sliding Escape

This level is a pretty quick chase level where it's pretty easy to die if you're not prepared for what's coming. There is an achievement for completing this level without dying, but there is an exploit to make it a little easier. If you die, just continue with the level until you get to the last checkpoint. If you die after this point, you can exit to the main menu. Then select "Continue" and your death counter will be reset. This way, you only have to the complete the last section without dying. You can keep using this trick as long as this is your first time playing the level, because "Continue" only takes you to your furthest checkpoint.

Start off the level by running right, and don't stop until you are safely into the cave. There is a spikester to the right that you will have to get to the beast outside. First raise the pillar when the spikester is on it. Then draw the branch all the way straight out, and disconnect it when the spikester is all the way to the right. If done correctly, the spikester should walk up it to the ledge to the left.

Now while the spikester is still over the ledge, redraw the branch over to the platform that spikester so it crawls up it. When the spikester gets to the upper right, destroy the branch and redraw it so it goes to the upper left where you are. Before it gets to the upper left, climb up the vine that is towards the beast so that the spikester can crawl under you. The beast will punch the spikester and run off into the background.

Ride the pillar that appears all the way to the top and go to the right. There are two evil eyes and an amulet piece by the red vine pit and branch node. Draw a branch straight up and then to the left so you can jump onto it and grab the evil eye to the left. Evil eye 41 of 75. Now destroy the branch and redraw it diagonally up and to the right so you can grab the evil eye that is up there. Evil eye 42 of 75. To get the amulet piece, you have to redraw the branch up and to the right and then a large backwards "C-shape." If it's drawn correctly, you should be able to jump up it and grab the amulet piece. Amulet piece 10 of 18.

You can detach the branch at the node, and it should fall to the right. Go to the right side and pull it further to the right. Then jump on top of it to grab another evil eye. Evil eye 43 of 75. This is somewhat hard to get and may take a few times to get correctly.

When you go to the right, you will start the sliding section, which lasts for a while. The section is written out, but it may be easier to watch the video. You can also pause the game if you need to read ahead or catch your breath. This spot is where you will start if you exit to the main menu and then select "Continue." It's best to play through most of it before doing that since it is pretty hard to do your first time. You'll want to have a good idea of what's ahead.

Start by sliding down and then run to the right to slide some more. There will be two red vines that you will have to jump over. When you jump to the next red vine pit, you will have to raise two earth pillars before you fall into the red vine pit. Then after sliding on a log, you will have to do a long jump and raise another earth pillar. Then there are three more red vines to jump over.

Now you are running on the ground and then falling back down to sliding. There are several more red vines that you have to jump over. After this, you will get launched towards a pit in slow-motion. There is a vine node to the upper right. Draw it diagonally down towards you so that you can grab it, and then quickly climb to the top. If you don't go fast enough, the beast will jump onto the cliff above you and disconnect the branch that the vine is tied to.

When you get to the top, quickly run to the right and keep jumping over the red vines. Then there will be a log that looks like you can land on but it falls through. This is supposed to happen, so don't worry. Inside this log, there are a few gaps that you will have to jump over. Then another section of log will break, and you will have to draw a vine in slo-mo towards yourself to be saved from falling in a pit again. As soon it swings to the right, jump into another log.

At this point, if you are going for the achievement and died, you should exit to the main menu. Then select "Continue." You'll have to do the whole sliding section again, but your deaths will be reset to 0, and you won't have to replay the beginning of this level.

At the end of this log, jump, and then draw a vine to save yourself again. For making it through this level, you will get an achievement.

If you made it through the level without dying or used the exploit to reset your death count and completed the last section without dying, you will unlock another achievement.
