1. Metro: Last Light (JP) Walkthrough overview

Welcome to the Metro: Last Light Walkthrough! Below is the description of the game, by 4A Games:

It is the year 2034. Beneath the ruins of post-apocalyptic Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro, the remnants of mankind are besieged by deadly threats from outside – and within. Mutants stalk the catacombs beneath the desolate surface, and hunt amidst the poisoned skies above. But rather than stand united, the station-cities of the Metro are locked in a struggle for the military vaults of D6 - a gigantic bunker complex rumored to contain food, medicine, weapons... and maybe more. A civil war is stirring that could wipe humanity from the face of the earth forever. As Artyom, burdened by guilt but driven by hope, you hold the key to our survival – the last light in our darkest hour…

This is a very atmospheric and immersive game, where you can use the stealth approach or kill every human and mutant that you find, however it is recommended to always use the stealth approach as the walkthrough will point out. You'll need to pay attention to a few details in the game like parts in the above-ground when you'll need to use gas masks, filters and be careful with damage of your mask (If it is too broken you can die from radiation).

The game is very story driven, and while you do not need to listen to each conversation, they will give you a sense of context to the story. However, many of these conversations will give you points toward the elusive Redemption ("good ending") achievement and I will only point out these.

Warning: This guide will contain some minor spoilers. I will try to limit them as much as possible but please be forewarned!

I have split the story walkthrough into sections of 5 missions each which will all be stealth guides. You can avoid most combat on Ranger Hardcore this way and will also point out all achievements as they can be gained

- Miscellaneous - Any achievements that may unlock at random and that I cannot guarantee when they will unlock for everyone.

All the collectibles may be found using the chapter select feature, with the exception of the Musician achievement that you can get in Playthrough 1, following the video posted in this section, otherwise you need another playthrough just for this achievement, or you can do it in Playthrough 2 (I don't recommend doing this in Ranger Mode)

This game has 30 chapters most will not take long however, the campaign duration for the 1st playthrough will take you about 10 to 12 hours to complete and about 8 hours on the second playthrough.
