Hello everyone! I go by the name of MC0REBE and I'm here to guide you through the wonderful worlds of Monster Island. If you haven't played this game yet, I can already tell you that it's very similar to Angry Birds, but instead of using a slingshot, you will have control over a little Monster.
Also similar to Angry Birds, where you have different birds with other characteristics, you will have different balls (sorry if that sounded ambiguous
). You can find the summary on the next page. As for the story (which is the opposite from Angry Birds); there is none.
That was it for the introduction, maybe we better move on to hints and tips? Sweep the page please
.
You made it here? I didn't expect anything else
. I will start off with a summary of each ball you have in the game. I don't really know names of these things, but I will name them by their color (since each and every one of them has a different color).
- Blue: Explodes when it is stopped by an obstacle or enemy
- Orange: Explodes when it hits an obstacle or enemy
- Grey: This is more like a typical rock and is able to fill up gaps or knock enemies over
- Purple: Sticks to surfaces or monsters and can also be used to attach another ball to it
- Green: Will explode after touching the action button in the upper right corner of your screen
That is more or less the basics. The next tip I can give you and I can't stress it enough: when a level starts, throw the ball that is already selected. It is a nice way to know how to start your levels.
Each world requires you to obtain 3 stars for each level, which is very easily reachable because of the videos I have included, but you can also buy in-game solutions with the coins you obtain through playing or paying for them with micro-transactions. You also have the option to skip a level, but that will not count towards your 3-star rating.
Although points count towards your rating after clearing a mission, it only applies to how many balls you have used or have left. Enraging enemies (or in other words throwing a ball in their face, how would you feel) and killing them afterwards awards you more points then just killing them but you will most likely use more then the balls that are required to clear a level.
That's all I can think of at the moment. If you are ready to enter a world of weirdness and epic visuals, I'd suggest we better move on and start unlocking achievements! Sweep the page please
.
With all the previous information in the back of your head, it's time to start working on the achievements. Each and every one of these isn't hard to obtain, so don't be afraid about 3-starring each level. First after booting up the game, you will get a reward from Miniclip which includes a few coins. That should be enough to buy your new monster. Click on 'Store', the option below 'Leaderboards' to enter the store. You should be automatically on the 'Buy a new Monster' section. Pick one you like and your first achievement will pop right afterwards:
For the next 'Buy something in the Store' achievement, you have two options: you can either play through the game until you get enough coins or you can use the included micro-transactions to buy coins with Microsoft Points. Whatever you pick, I strongly recommend buying 'Solutions'; which can help you 3-star a level you are stuck at. 'Skips' can come in handy as well, but once you skip a level; you won't earn any stars on it and you will need to go back to it afterwards anyway. Either way, after spending 1,500 on Solutions and 2,500 coins on any item you prefer in the store, you will unlock the following:
Keep 'em comingEarned 1500 coins and spent them on solutions in the Monster Island store!

Big SpenderEarned a total of 2500 coins and spent them in the Monster Island store!

Before we start off with going through each area and each level, I need to mention that the following achievements will unlock through progression. It depends on replays and how you fast you go through each level; but all of these will probably unlock before you 3-starred each level:
YELLOW JELLO
Let's start off with some tutorials. The game will drag you through the first few levels, teaching you how to play the game. On the first level of this stage, you will want to throw your balls directly in the abyss until you have one left. With the last one, throw it at the Monster to get this:
SpareCompleted a level with the last shot

Replay the level to kill the blue dude with only one ball to earn the following:
As kind as Miniclip is, you will get some 'Solutions' and 'Skips'. Use both once to unlock two easy achievements:
Once you reach level 4, you will have 2 enemies as a target. Aim the ball directly as his head and throw it with full power to enrage him. Killing an enraged Monster will award you with 12,000 points instead of the usual 10,000; and will also unlock the following achievements:
Keep replaying this level until you killed 40 enraged enemies. This is honestly the biggest 'grind' in the game and will award you with the following achievement:
All there is left now is killing 2 enemies with one single shot. I recommend using level 28 in this area and you can use the video below. All credit goes to iPhoneGameGuide:
After doing exactly what the video shows you, you will unlock the following:
Take twoKilled two monsters with one shot

The other achievements will be around 3-starring each level in each area. I don't think I can write a very detailed guide for each of the 63 levels in each area, so I'll keep it at a video guide. In the folllowing videos, you can view everything you are having problems with. Credits go to i3 Stars! Good luck!
PURPLE JAM
25% in the 'grind', keep it up!
Real JamCompleted Purple Jam with all stars

MONSTROCITY
This is where a lot of people give up (seeing the ratio of the following achievement), but you are already halfway there! Do you have what it takes to continue? Let's find out! Since there was no video available, I put the 63 levels of this world in one playlist. You can find them all below. Credit goes to iPhoneGameGuide. The playlist can be found here.
FROZEN CITY
Last area! 63 more levels to go. Keep going, I believe in you! The following playlist is combined by YouTube-user Arthur Yang, but the video's are uploaded by iPhoneGameGuide. The playlist can be found here.
After 3-starring the last level in this area, you will earn the last achievement in the game:
Thanks for reading my guide! I hope this was helpful. If you have comments or any improvements, please let me know! See you soon!
