1. Walkthrough overview
Hello and welcome to the walkthrough for the Point and Click game, My Brother Rabbit. This is the story of a young brother and sister. The sister has fallen seriously ill and while her family tries to help her in a hospital setting, we follow the story through the eyes of the brother. The brother uses the power of his imagination as a coping mechanism and escapes into a fantasy world where he tries to help his sister, in his own way. The brother gives his sister a rabbit stuffed animal to comfort her, and you will then see the brother as a rabbit during the gameplay. You will see the sister as a flower, needing special items like balloons, flowers and butterflies to help her get better.
If you have played an Artifex Mundi game before, you will be familiar with the game style and puzzles. While the Hidden Object Scenes and puzzles are influenced by Artifex Mundi's previous games, you will find that this one has a very different feel. The foundation of the puzzles and gameplay will be recognizable, but it is very much changed and given an entirely new life in My Brother Rabbit.
It has a deeper, emotional storyline explained through the cutscenes. There are no voice actors, but rather, the game is filled with beautiful, atmospheric music by Arkadiusz Reikowski (Layers of Fear, Kholat, Husk, and >observer_). You may also recognize the enchanting voice of Emi Evans (NieR: Automata and Dark Souls) singing the song Dreams.
Every scene and room in the game becomes a Hidden Object Scene as you explore and advance, with puzzles along the way. Nothing will challenge you here with excessive difficulty and nothing is missable as the game has Chapter select upon completion. I found this game to be designed in a new, beautiful way compared to previous titles. After playing every Artifex Mundi game on the Xbox One, I can say that My Brother Rabbit is my favorite of them all.
This walkthrough will get you all 30 achievements in one playthrough. This should take you approximately 2-3 hours of play time and once the game is completed, you will unlock Chapter select if you have missed anything along the way. Unlike previous Artifex Mundi titles, there is no difficulty setting or bonus chapter.
