3. Story walkthrough

When you start a new game, you’ll get to pick your difficulty. You have to play the game once on expert for an achievement and you have to play the game twice in all. If you’re mostly going to try to solve the first playthrough on your own, pick the difficulty you feel most comfortable with based on how much of a challenge you want. If you’re mostly following this guide, I’d play on expert for the second run since you’ll be more familiar with the game. The actual puzzles are identical – the only difference is in how much assistance the game gives you (such as marking places on your map where there are things to do).

Remember not to skip any of the puzzles as there are achievements for solving all of the puzzles without skipping. Don’t use any hints in hidden object scenes either.

At the Museum

Zoom in on your desk. Click on the phone on the left and then on the green button to let the delivery person into the museum. Zoom out and go through the door.

Talk to the delivery person. Zoom in on the case in the background and take the Office Key.

Go back to your office. Zoom in on the door on your desk and use the Office Key to open it. Click on the book in the middle of the bottom shelf and then take the Scissors that are hidden beneath it.

Leave your office and zoom in on the package. Use the Scissors to cut the twine. After the scene, zoom in on the case in the back and take the Triangular Pendant. Use it on the chest.

Swap the tiles around to complete the picture.

Next, you’ll have a sliding disc puzzle. To solve this one, slide the lower middle disc, lower left disc, upper left, upper middle, upper right, lower right, lower middle, and lower left. Lastly, swap the segments to restore the picture.

If you can’t, there are plenty of other minigames to try this on, and many of the others are much easier and quicker.

Open the package and take the artifact for a scene. Talk to the man in the boat to continue the scene and unlock:

Kingsmouth

Take the Oar from the boat. Talk to the man and then follow him inside. Talk to him again. Click on the bookcase he is trying to move to slide it over the window. Use the oar on the second bookcase to lift it into place.

Try to go upstairs and the room will catch on fire. Zoom in on the jacket on the floor on the right to get a Valve. Open the door on the left wall to reveal a fire hose. Use the oar to get the Hose.

Go back one screen and zoom in on the water pipe just left of the boat. Use the hose and the valve on the tap and turn on the water.

Return to the room and grab the hose and use it to put out the fire. Go upstairs to the bedroom.

Interact with the screen to meet Calliope. Talk with them for a scene. She gives you a Golden Fish (1/12). Head outside to the right for another scene to unlock:

Examine the man. Then zoom out and click on the debris on the left side of the room.

Find the handle in the middle of the scene. Use it on the drawer on the left. Take the perfume bulb from the drawer. Zoom out and use the bulb on the perfume bottle on the right. Take the cube from the top middle of the scene. Grab mirror pieces from left and right of the broken mirror as well as left of the dresser on the right and place them in the mirror frame. Take the cloth from the bottom of the frame. Spray the perfume bottle to wet the dresser and use the cloth to clean it. Open the dresser and use the cube in the missing hole. Now click on each of the cubes until they form a single picture of the jolly roger pirate logo. Take the tongs.

Zoom in on the bottle of poison and remove the lid. Use the tongs to get a medal. Turn the wooden piece on the floor to the left and use the medal to unlock a hidden niche. Take the diamond. Zoom in on the statue head on the right and use the diamond in the crown. Take the clock hands from the mouth. Use the hands on the clock and set the time to 4:15 (the time written on the mirror). Take the caduceus.

Go back to the drawer on the left and use the caduceus on the tin. Take the Smelling Salts.

Use the Smelling Salts on the man to wake him up. You get a map of the city. You can use the map cn_left to jump to any location.

Look in the rafters to find a Parrot (1/18). This is one of three types of collectibles that won’t appear in your inventory and carry forward from one game to another.

Zoom in on the right side. Take the handle on the right and use it in the axe head on the left to get a Hatchet. Zoom out and go back downstairs.

Look at the rubble blocking the corridor. Clear the rocks away and take the Rope. Use the hatchet on the wooden planks and head towards the front door.

Tie the rope to the carriage handle. Click on the rope for a scene. You’re outside on the street now.

Click on the trashcan on the left to find a hidden Parrot (2/18). Next click on the Octopus (1/19) on the top of the lamppost on the right.

Zoom in on the building in the middle. You need to change the symbols at the bottom so that each pair combines to form the symbols above them.

Open the door and take the Gauze. Return back to the bedroom and use the gauze on the man. He’ll give you a Dagger.

Go back to the town square and zoom in on the building on the right. Open the door for a scene. Zoom in on the fishing line and use the dagger to get a Mechanism Plate (1/2).

Zoom out and head towards the archway on the left.

Click on the Parrot (3/18) on the barrels on the left. Click on the Octopus (2/19) carved on the right side of the building. Zoom in on the covered bicycle on the right. Remove items from the bike to get a Pedal and Chain. Zoom in on the gate for a scene.

Take the Rod from the gate. Zoom in on the mechanism to the right of the gate. Use the chain and pedal on the gears and then turn the pedal to open a panel. Zoom in on the panel and take the Oilcan. You can’t solve this puzzle yet so back out.

Zoom in on the bike and use the oilcan on the gear. Take the Gear.

Back up one screen and zoom in on the manhole cover in the street. Clear the leaves and use the rod to open the cover. Move the mouse and take the Mechanism Plate (2/2).

Go to the arch again and zoom in on the mechanism. Click on the central area to open the hole and use the Mechanism Plate and the Gear in the hole. Now swap the remaining gears to form a single picture, which will also have the gears link together.

Go through the gate.

Click on the bell on the top of the left pole and then click on the Seahorse (1/7) that appears at the bottom of the pole. Click on the sign on the right and then click on another Seahorse (2/7) that appears at the bottom of the nearby lamppost.

Zoom in on the door to the right and then onto the door handle. Click on the lock cover to get a Coin.

Attempt to continue down the road for a scene. After the scene, go forward to the gate.

Click on the Octopus (3/19) on the top of the right building. Click on the Parrot (4/18) on weathervane on the left side of the roof.

Zoom in on the toolbox just left of the sealed gate. Open the box and dig through it to find a Wrench.

Go back two screens to the archway. The shop to the right of the arch is a hidden object scene.

As I mentioned before, every hidden object scene can be bypassed by playing a Mahjong puzzle. Decide if you’re going to do Mahjong or hidden objects on this playthrough and stick with it the entire game.

For hidden objects, the items listed in yellow at the bottom of the screen require you to do something in the scene before they are available.

There are several achievements related to hidden object scenes. I’ll describe all three but you won’t get them all at the same time.

The first one is for completing a hidden object scene without making 3 mistakes. For this achievement, there is no time limit so just be very careful. You generally know if you’re right. I suspect most ‘mistakes’ are really just frustration at not finding what you’re looking for and clicking randomly. Occasionally, your aim might be a little off or you might confuse one item with another but you should be able to unlock this just by being careful. When you do, you’ll unlock:

The second achievement is for finding four items in four seconds. This is not as hard as it seems and you might unlock this naturally. But the best way to be sure is to look for four large items (so you don’t have to be as precise about aiming), ideally ones that are sort of close to each other, and only when you’ve identified all four, select them one after another. Since the “clock” doesn’t start until you’ve selected the first of the four items, it means you have 1.3 seconds for each of the other three items. Do this and you’ll unlock:

The last one is the hardest: You must complete a hidden object scene in less than a minute. As the items to be found are different every time, this requires luck and a bit of practice. Some scenes are significantly easier than others. During the game, you’ll revisit some of the hidden object scene puzzles multiple times, and each time the items you found earlier are missing. This makes the scene less cluttered and easier to find the remaining items.

I would try to unlock this naturally, but if you don’t, you’ll have to start a new game and reach this scene again. Practice makes perfect, while the list of items to be found is different every time, the items are in the same location.

There are a few hidden object scenes latter in the game that are not random and they are your best option for getting both time-based achievements. See other tips in the Hints and Tips section.

If you choose to do Mahjong instead, and you can solve it in less than one minute, you’ll unlock:

Your best bet is just to make matches as fast as you possibly can. Don’t worry about getting ‘stuck’ as you’ll get an automatic reshuffle so just click away. If you don’t get it here, you can try again in another puzzle this game although the Mahjong puzzles get harder as you go along (having more tiles and more different kinds of tiles). You’ll probably have to start a new game and retry this puzzle. Fortunately, it doesn’t take long in a new game to get to this scene.

Currently, there is a glitch you can take advantage of if you can’t do this legitimately. Find items in the scene until you have one item left. As you select the final item, simultaneously switch to the Mahjong puzzle. This will register as a completed Mahjong puzzle solved in less than a second.

When you complete the scene, you’ll get Lighter Fluid.

Go forward two screens to the gate. Zoom in on the small box on the right side. Use the coin in the slot to open the box. Use the lighter fluid to get a Lighter. Head left to the dilapidated harbor.

Remove the cover to the boat (takes three clicks). Zoom in on the hatch and open it. Find the Seahorse (3/7) inside and beneath that a Circle Half.

Zoom out and attach the right chain to the right hook. Click on the back of the boat to fix the frame there and attach the middle chain to the back hook. You can’t do the third chain yet.

Backtrack all the way to the bedroom. Watch the scene and then search where the man was to get a Rebel Symbol. Zoom in on the left side and use the circle half on the box to open it. Take the Gunpowder.

Go forward to the Promenade and then left to the Statue. Collect the Octopus (4/19) from the statue’s shoulder and the Parrot (5/18) on the top of the tilted pole on the right. Zoom in on the base of the statue. Tug on the piece of cloth and then use the dagger to reveal a seam. Use the gunpowder on the crack and the lighter on the trail of powder.

Zoom back in on the base. Place the tokens in their matching locations in the scene.

Enter the secret chamber.

Click on the shield on the right and then on the Seahorse (4/7) the emerges from behind it. Click on the Parrot (6/18) on the statue on the far left above the monkey.

Zoom in on the throne. Take the Bottle of Rum from the table. Return to the town square and zoom in on the building on the right. Give the Bottle of Rum to the man and then go inside to unlock:

Collect the Octopus (5/19) from the oar on the ceiling. Examine the hidden object scene behind the bar on the right. Solve it to get a Banana.

Talk to the man to get a Photograph. Zoom in on the bottles hanging from the ceiling on the right. Click through all of the bottles to eventually find a Golden Fish (2/12).

Zoom in on the panel in the background. Move the pieces from one panel to the others to complete each scene.

Take the Newspaper Key.

Return to the Promenade and zoom in on the door on the right. Use the newspaper key to open the door and go inside the Office.

Use the lighter. Interact with the large wheel on the left and then take the Seahorse (5/7) that appears near the desk on the right.

Zoom in on the desk for a hidden object scene. Solve it to get a Lightbulb. Zoom in on the ceiling light. Remove the broken bulb and use the one you have to shed light on the room.

Zoom in on the stove on the left. Take the Coal. Open the stove and sift through the ashes to find a Toy Soldier (1/3).

Next zoom in on the corkboard. Use the photograph and then arrange the individual pictures to form a single scene.

Use the rebel symbol on the socket that appears to open a passageway. Go down to the Hideout.

Use the lighter on the lamp on the desk. Click on the trashcan on the left and then on the Seahorse (6/7) that emerges. Collect the Parrot (7/18) on the top right shelf.

Select the top left shelf for a puzzle scene.

Take the square crest from the top shelf and use it on the red book on the bottom shelf. Take the handle from inside the book and use it to open the press on the bottom shelf on the left. Take the knife.

Use the knife on the handle just right of the box on the bottom shelf. Use it on the mallet head on the top shelf to get a hammer. Move the books on the top right shelf and use the hammer to break the wall.

Adjust the tiles to form a picture of sea serpent. Take the block and the key. Use the key to open the box on the top right to get ink.

Open the envelope on the bottom right and take the paper. Zoom in on the press and use block, the ink, and the paper. Use the stamp to reveal the code. Use the code on the box in the bottom middle and get Bolts.

Interact with the rat near the bed. It will move the sheet for you allowing you to search through the cobwebs get a Crane Lever. Move the floor boards to find a Wind-up Key.

Zoom in on the dead person and move his hand. Use the wind-up key on the box and take both the Signet Ring and the Fish Token (3/12).

Return to the secret room under the statue and use the banana on the monkey. Take the Fireproof Glove.

Go to the Dilapidated Harbor. Zoom in on the hook anchor. Use the bolts and the wrench. Then attach the last chain to the boat.

Go back one screen and zoom in on the door to the left. Select the fish from smallest to largest to open the control panel. Use the coal on the platform to the right. Use the fireproof glove to open the furnace. Use the shovel to scoop the coal into the furnace. Use the crane lever on the hole (with the circular arrow).

Pull the left lever to raise the boat. Pull the right lever to move the boat through the barricade to unlock:

Go through the opening to the street. Collect the Octopus (6/19) on the wrecked boat on the left. Click on the spyglass on the rubble in front of you to mount it on the tripod and then look through it for a scene.

Go up the ramp on the left. Interact with your friend who is hanging off the edge of the path to unlock:

After a conversation, you’ll get a Toy Soldier (2/3). Zoom out and head forward toward the fountain.

Collect the Octopus (7/19) on the top of the building on the right. Take the Parrot (8/18) from the table on the left.

Zoom in on the wagon on the right. Take the Thick Cloth. Dig through the fish to find a chest and use the dagger to open it. Take the Golden Fish (4/12) from inside.

Go back one screen and use the thick cloth on the pile of wood on the right. This lets you enter the Pawn Shop.

Grab the Octopus (8/19) from the picture on the top shelf. A Parrot (9/18) appears on top of the blue flask on the left.

Zoom in on the desk on the right and on the drawer. Use the Signet ring to unlock the drawer and take the Steel Wheel from inside.

Zoom in on the bookcase in the back. Take the Tongs from one of the nooks.

Zoom in on the table to the left. Remove the left picture and take the Printing Matrix Piece (1/3) hidden behind it.

Return to the fountain and talk to the man that will meet you there. Zoom in on the box on the left and use the steel wheel to open it. This reveals a hidden object scene. This one is not random, so it can be a good one to get the time achievements on.

Solve it to get a Toy Soldier (3/3).

Return to the Pawn Shop. Zoom in on the bookcase in the back again and use the Toy Soldiers. Now arrange the toys to that each row and column has one of each kind of toy. Just put matching items on diagonal lines.

Zoom in on the revealed room. Take the cloth from the top of the TV. Zoom in on the sink. Turn off the water. Use the cloth on the cord and take it.

Take the knife from the counter next to the TV. Zoom in on the washing machine and use the knife to cut it open. Take the crank from inside. Zoom in on the battery (near the fridge) and use the crank to open it. Take the cross from the top of the battery.

Use the cross on the left cabinet to open it. Take the gloves and syringe from inside. Return to the battery and use the syringe to get some acid. Use the acid to melt the lock on the fridge. Open the fridge and use the gloves to take the ice block.

Zoom in on the microwave. Put the ice block inside the microwave and use the extension cord on the plug. Turn on the microwave. Take the handle off of the object revealed in the melted ice.

Use the handle on the radio above the TV to reveal a code. Dial that code on the phone to open up a compartment containing a key. Use the key to unlock the locked cabinet below the battery. Take the Blowtorch.

Return to the fountain and zoom in on the fountain itself. Clear the seaweed from the object on the right. When the crab appears, use the tongs to get the Fountain Key. Use the key on the fountain’s crest.

Zoom back in on the fountain. Watch which fish spray water and repeat the pattern. The patterns are:

  • Bottom left, top right
  • Top left, middle, top right
  • Bottom right, top right, top left, bottom left
  • Bottom middle-left, top left, bottom middle-right, top right, middle
  • Top left, bottom middle-left, middle, bottom middle-right, top right

After you do this five times, the fountain opens.

Zoom in on the opening, clear the seaweed away and use the blow torch to open the hatch and descend.

Underground

Look on the ceiling over the right doorway for a Parrot (10/18).

Go into the room on the right. Open the pot on the back left of the stove. Dig around in the pot for five buttons and then collect the sack of Cash Register Buttons.

Zoom out and zoom in on the bookcase. Take the Blunderbuss Lock from the space between the books.

Zoom out and examine the table. Take the map of the lighthouse area. Use the Blunderbuss Lock on the table. Now assemble the gun: Put the cone on the right end of the barrel. Put the handle on the right on the left end of the barrel. Put the lock onto the middle of the barrel and put the trigger, found to the right of the barrel, on the bottom middle of the barrel. Now put the powder in the barrel, then the ball. Lastly, use the ram on the barrel to pack it down. Take the Blunderbuss Pistol.

Examine the door. Use the pistol on the lock to open the door and go through.

Near the ceiling in the center of the scene is an Octopus (9/19). Just below the boat with the skeleton on the left is a Parrot (11/18).

The boats on the left (in the distance, not the nearby one with the skeleton) are a hidden object scene. This one is also not random, which makes it another good option for the speed achievements.

Solve the scene to get Bellows.

Zoom in on the pot on the right. Use the dagger on the tar above the pot to get a Pot of Hard Tar.

Back up one screen and zoom in on the kitchen on the right. Open the oven and try to take the skull. Use the bellows on the bees that appear. Take the One Eyed Skull.

Zoom out and go through the door. Zoom in on the door on the far side of the room and use the one eyed skull. Move each gem into place by sliding along the tracks. Move the bottom grey gem, the red gem, the clear gem, the blue gem, the yellow gem, the purple gem, the green gem, and the orange gem. Go through the opened door.

Take the Gas Tank from the debris on the left.

Now return all the way back to the Tavern.

The shelves on the right are a hidden object scene. Solve it to get a Baseball Bat. Zoom in on the cash register. Use the register buttons to start the puzzle. Arrange the buttons so that each column is the same color (white, red, green, blue), the amounts go from small at the top to large at the bottom, and the fish pieces go together.

Take the Printing Matrix Piece (2/3) and the Decoder Plates from the register.

Head to the archway next. The area right of the arch is active as a non-random hidden object scene.

Solve it to get a Comb.

Travel to the Pawn Shop. Zoom in on the desk and then the page with scribbles. Use the decoder plates on the page of scribbles. Find pairs of symbols that match to remove them. When you have only three symbols left, you’ll jot them down.

Do this a second time for the second plate.

Take the Strange Code.

Exit the Pawn Shop and zoom in on the doll in the window. Use the comb on the doll to get Bristles.

Return underground and zoom in on the kitchen. Look in the oven, use the gas tank, and connect it. Use the knobs on the front of the oven to turn on the stove and use the lighter to light the gas. Use the pot of hard tar on the stove to melt it. Use the baseball bat in the tar. Use the bristles on the bat. Use the lighter on the bat to get a Torch.

Return to the Labyrinth (the dark area) and use the Torch. Use the Strange Code. You want to match the symbol by each tunnel with the symbols in the code in order. So go straight, right, straight, left, right, and straight to unlock:

Look on the top of the ship on the left (the one on the ground, not the one balancing up high) for a Parrot (12/18). On top of the boat on the right is an Octopus (10/19).

Walk up to the door in the fence. Try to open the door for a scene. Take the Hook in front of the skeleton. Zoom in on the ground near the skeleton and use the hook to get a Screwdriver.

Zoom out and into the panel on the right side. Use the screwdriver to remove the panel. Rotate the circles to make the current flow to each of the nodes.

Now that the power is out, you can go back to the gate and open it.

Talk to the ghost. Take the Starter Cord hanging on the right pillar. Zoom in on the chandelier on the ground. Take the Tube from the right side. Zoom in on the bottle and take Corkscrew from it.

Zoom in on the panel above the chandelier and take the Empty Fuel Can.

Go back one screen and zoom in on the tank on the left. Use the corkscrew to remove the stopper. Use the tube in the hole. Use the fuel can to get a Filled Fuel Can.

Go back inside and zoom in on the panel again. Open the cap on the left and use the fuel can to fill it with gas. Pull on the starter cord and it will break off. Use the spare starter cord you have to repair it. Pull the cord three times to start the engine and light the room.

At the top of the bannister on the left side of the stairs is an Octopus (11/19). Click on the bowl on top of the pillar just to the right of the generator you have just turned on to reveal a Seahorse (7/7) and unlock:

Zoom in on the desk on the right and take the Red Book. Back out and zoom in on the window in the back. You can’t do anything, but this activates the area on the upper-left of the stairs as a hidden object scene. Grab the stick in the front middle to open the right suitcase and click on the left suitcase.

Solve it to get an Improvised Rope. Go back to the window and use the rope to climb up.

An Octopus (12/19) is on the beam leaning against the right wall.

Pick up the green Cable (1/3) on the floor. Zoom in on the case on the left. Open the cabinet and take the Harpoon Gun and the Cable (2/3).

Zoom in on the console and pick up the yellow Cable (3/3). Open the panel right of the screen and zoom in. Use the cables to start the game.

Use each cable to connect two squares. The two pictures on your connections will combine to form the symbol in that color of wire. You need to position all four wires to match the given picture. Each individual square will light up when it’s right so you can work on each color separately.

Watch the scene when you finish to unlock:

The drawer opens. Take the Diamond and the Golden Fish (5/12).

Zoom in on the door on the right and use the Diamond to cut the glass. Go through the door to the Passenger Cabin.

There is a Parrot (13/18) on the ground just left of the fallen end table. An Octopus (13/19) is on the ladder on the right.

Talk to the ghost. Make a Sheet Rope from the sheets on the bed. Move the rug and use the sheet rope to go down.

Look at the desk on the right. Take the Knob from the right and open the book to get a Printing Matrix Piece (3/3).

Back out and zoom in on the table. Take the Stone Picture.

Use the map to return to the Secret Chamber beneath the statue. Zoom in on the archway left of the throne. Use the Stone Picture to start the puzzle. Arrange the tiles to form a picture.

Take the Stone Ring from behind the picture.

Back up one screen to the statue and examine the pile of items to the left for a hidden object scene. Solve it to get a Sledgehammer.

Travel to the fountain and examine the stall on the left for a hidden object scene. Solve it to get a Stethoscope. If you have been finding the hidden objects and haven’t been using hints, this will unlock:

Go downstairs and zoom in on the bookcase. Use the Red Book and then clear the cobwebs and paper off of the books. Arrange the books to make a picture.

Take the Golden Fish (6/12) from the opened drawer.

Go to the Foyer and zoom in on the desk on the right. Use the knob on the drawer to open it. Read the book and you’ll make a note of P. Robertson’s locker code.

Go forward two screens to the cabin. Zoom in on the dresser on the left. Use the Sledgehammer to break it open and take the Safe Dial from his hand.

Zoom in on the top of the bed. Arrange the numbers to form equations that total to the numbers of the combination.

The opened compartment is a hidden object scene. Solve it to get Printing Ink.

Go back one screen and zoom in on the safe. Use the Safe Dial and the Stethoscope. Turn the wheel to make a guess. Two numbers are carved above the wheel. After each guess, you get scored. A check means that the digit is right. An x means that it is wrong. A question mark means that the digit appears elsewhere in the combination. The correct combination is 648507. Take the Sticky Resin from inside the safe.

Travel to the Hideout and zoom in on the board above the body. Clear the notes out of the way and use the printing matrix pieces. Assemble all of the pieces into a single picture.

Take the Matrix.

Back up one screen and examine the desk on the right for a hidden object scene. Solve it to get Insulating Tape.

Zoom in on the printing press in the back right. Use the matrix on the press. Use the insulating tape on the frayed wire on the left. Use the printing ink in the ink well. Activate the press to get a Ring Pattern.

Go to the Captain’s chamber. Talk to the man. Zoom in on the door and use the stone ring and the ring pattern.

Turn the rings to match the printing. The middle ring moves all three rings. The outer ring moves only the outer and inner rings, while the inner ring only moves itself. Adjust the rings in that order to make the image match. Then adjust the tiles on the outside to match the picture on the ring.

Go through the opened door to unlock:

Talk to the man. Then look at the left end of the top walkway for an Octopus (14/19).

Examine the skeleton in the fireplace for a hidden object scene. Solve it to get a Chain. Head upstairs.

Look above the barrel on the right for an Octopus (15/19). Look near the ceiling on the left side for a Parrot (14/18).

Remove the cloth from the chair and zoom in. Take the Old Chain poking out from underneath the chair.

Zoom in on the trap door on the ceiling and attach the chain.

Remove the cloth from the statue and zoom in. Attach the old chain to the leg. Then attach the chain hanging from the ceiling. Push the statue down the stairs to break open the trap door. Go upstairs.

Collect the Parrot (15/18) hiding by the jug on the table and the Octopus (16/19) above the alcove on the right.

Zoom in on the table in the middle of the room and take the Keys from the recipe book.

Zoom in on the alcove on the right. Use the dagger to open the coffee can and take the Coffee Symbol.

Zoom back and open the door to the right of the table. Zoom in for a hidden object scene.

Solve it to get Garden Shears.

Go back two scenes to the prison and zoom in on the ground just left of the man. Sift through the debris to find Golden Flakes (3/3).

Zoom in on the cell door on the middle floor. Use the keys to unlock it. Search under the pillows to find an Icepick.

Return all the way back to the Catacombs and search the boats on the left side for a hidden object scene. Solve it to get Pliers.

Zoom in on the weeds growing in the middle of the screen. Use the Garden Shears to cut a Flower Stalk.

Go forward to the passenger cabin. Search the top of the bed for a hidden object scene.

Solve it to get a Porcelain Cup.

Advance to the storeroom and zoom in on the chair. Use the keys to open the bag. Take the Hydrogen Peroxide. Remove the cloth from the shelf on the right and zoom in. Use the pliers to open the crate. Select one of the coffee tins and use the dagger to open it. Take the Coffee Beans.

Use the Coffee Symbol on the box on the right. Take the Coffee Grinder.

Go upstairs to the kitchen. Zoom in on the center table. Use the hydrogen peroxide, golden flakes, and a flower stalk. Put the stone on the left on the burner, click on it to light it, then put the golden flakes on it. Measure one spoonful into the beaker.

Use the tweezers to pluck off three buds from the flower stem and toss them in the beaker. Pour the hydrogen peroxide in and stir. Pour it into the flask.

Remove the stone from the burner using the tongs and put the flask onto the burner. Pour the flask through the strainer. Wrap it up to get Sleeping Powder.

Zoom in on the right. Use the porcelain cup on the saucer. Use the coffee grinder on the broken grinder. Use the icepick on the ice and put it into the kettle on the stove. Put the coffee beans in the grinder and grind them up. Put the ground coffee into the teacup and pour the water from the stove over it. Put the sleeping powder in the cup and take the Spiked Coffee.

Zoom in on the door to the left. Open the door on the top for a scene. Give him the spiked coffee to unlock:

Open the door and go through.

Take the Parrot (17/18) from above the fish tank and the Octopus (18/19) from the shield on the top bunk on the left.

Take the Uniform from the chair. Zoom in on the back wall. Use the dagger to get a Green Eye.

Return to the Prison and give the uniform to the man to unlock:

Examine the alcove on the right for a hidden object scene. Solve it to get a Golden Insignia.

Zoom in on the iron maiden. Use the Green Eye to open it. Take the Golden Fish (7/12) from inside.

Return to the yard (where the carriage is). Talk to the man for a scene. Talk to him again.

Zoom in on the carriage. Use the Golden Insignia to complete the design. Parts of the design will now change for a bit before going back to the original design. Click on the changes (there are 11 of them) as they happen. The storage area in the back will open. Take the Elevator Emblem.

Zoom in on the door just behind the carriage. Open the panel and use the Elevator Emblem. This lets you call the elevator to go up.

Watch the scene. Then take the Treasury Key from the table.

Go back down and zoom in on the door to the left. Remove the bar and use the treasury key to unlock the door. Go through it to find a puzzle scene.

Take the swan part from the top of the tree. Use it on the flamingo cutout on the bottom right. Take the pieces from the top and bottom branches on the right and hidden behind the chest on the bottom right and put them into the cutout.

Open the flamingo door and take the walking stick. Zoom in on the hole in the trunk and use the walking stick to disarm the mousetrap. Take the key. Zoom in on the chest on the ground. Use the key to unlock it and take the wing. Grab the other wing from the statue in the lower left.

Zoom in on cage at the top of the tree. Use both wings to open the cage. Take the trophy. Pull the handle in the middle of the tree. Zoom in on the trophy plaque on the right wall and use the trophy. Open it and take the lockpicks.

Zoom in on the chest in the left branches. Open it with the lockpicks. Take the cracker. Give the cracker to the far bird near the trunk in the middle. Take the feather it drops. Use the feather on the design where the bird was standing. Take the Brass Idol. A scene will follow

Talk to the man. Bar the door by clicking on it. Then talk to the man again.

Go up the elevator to where Calliope is. Take the Octopus (19/19) from above the fireplace on the left to unlock:

Solve it to get Gong Pieces. Go back upstairs to the gong.

Zoom in on the gong and use the gong pieces. Arrange the pieces to make a picture.

Take the Chest Seal from the center of the gong.

Return to the yard. The man will point out where a golden fish is. Use the Harpoon to shoot the bag near the window. Pick up the fallen sack to get Golden Fish (8/12).

Go through the arch on the left to the embankment. (This isn’t a separate area on your map, despite its appearance.) Take the Chest Panel from the vines on the right.

Return to the kitchen. The doorway on the right is active as a hidden object scene. Solve it to get Meat. Zoom in on the statues on the left and use the Brass Idol. Take the Golden Fish (9/12) from the compartment that opens.

Go to the Quarters. Zoom in on the chest and use the Chest panel. Open the chest and read the letter. Use the Sticky Resin and take the Stained Glass Disc.

Use the meat on the piranha tank. Use the poker to reach the collar and take the Golden Fish (10/12) off of it.

Go all the way back to the Foyer and search the items on the top left of the stairs for a hidden object scene. Solve it to get Clock Hands. If you’ve been completing these by finding the hidden objects, you’ll unlock:

(Note that the clock face in the middle of the screen capture shows the wrong time because when the right time is shown, the puzzle completes automatically.
