For me, Okami is and will always be one of the most loved games that I have bought and will remain in the high top ten of video games for years to come. The reason for this is simple, The game is amazing to look at, the game is fun to play, complete and play through again over and over, Sure there are a few repetitive things here such as the dungeons and how small/little they start out but then gradually get bigger and more convoluted.
The Game engine much like The Legend Of Zelda : Wind Waker is one that for me will go down as one that will never age especially with the remastered versions of the game giving it that extra bit of shine and touch to make everywhere you go visually appealing, Alluring and memorable to those who haven't played the game before whilst keeping the vivid fanbase happy with the upgraded graphics allowing them to love what they had previously seen before even more.
The Soundtrack is just as memorable and enjoyable as I remember it from the PS2 days, I catch myself humming Issun's theme or Whistling Waka's theme from time to time I love them so much, and hearing Reset (Instrumental) through actual gaming headphones for the first time really got to me because of how beautifully orchestrated the music is, how it amps you up for another round of fighting everything from the rather lewd soundtrack of one character to the more angelic soundtrack of another's is just as great as I remember it from 2006
The Boss Fights are a mixed bag some of them are really repetitive and boring where as a small handful of them are interesting, fun and one particular boss fight somewhere in the game
Is for me the greatest boss fight in the game a close second due to the final boss fight because of the music changes.
As most games there are a few problems I have with the game, which for me isn't the game itself but the sales that it has made, A game like this albeit a Zelda clone is fun, hilarious and overall a good time.
