This is an excellent game for a four-year-old. It is a very simple platformer without any real obstacles. At most, the player needs to double-jump (pushing the A button twice) or use a "special" ability which is described each time. There seems to be no penalty for pushing a wrong button, no pits to fall in, no enemies, nothing negative.

The player collects little dog treats or golden paw medallions which will unlock a cute little image at the end of the level. That's it. Achievements rain down very easily and are treated as badges in the game's menu.

The game requires no reading and the voice acting is clear and understandable. I sat with my daughter for the first level or two thinking I might need to help out but I didn't need to do a thing.

I wish they had some of the pups' voice actors in the game because it would have felt more like the cartoon but I think that the 3D models of the dogs and characters are very true to the cartoon. It's bright and and lots of fun.

If I were to review this as an adult as an adult's game; it's awful, boring, slow, and unrewarding. But as a kid's game I think it's excellent and just what I was looking for.
