12. Payday 2: Crimewave Edition Mission Walkthrough - VladUpdate notes

Aftershock (Loud)

Assets: Grenade Case, Doctor Bag, Ammo Bag

Solo/Co-op: At the start of the heist, the host will have a saw on them. You'll need to use this to get some vans open with safes inside. Once a van is open, grab the safe and chuck them off the bridge, as this will speed up the process of moving them later. Once the vans are open, Bain will send some C4. Whilst you are waiting for this, move the safes to the train, which is under the bridge. Put them in the door of it, then move them to the other side after this. By this time, the C4 should be here, so go and grab it.

Take this C4 to the wall and blow it down, then drive the van over to the train (click on the cn_RSc to see behind you, as I would recommend reversing into it to make driving back to where you got the truck easier. Load up the safes and drive back to the area where you got the truck. You now need to signal the helicopter and hold out till it arrives. Once it arrives, get in the truck to escape.

Four Stores (Loud/Aggressive Stealth)

There is also an achievement in this heist, which is to get a gold bar in a safe. It's easier to do this with a group with the aggressive stealth technique mentioned, as you can all lock pick the safes. If anyone finds one, everyone gets the achievement.

Assets: N/A

Solo: In Solo, you'll likely just want to go loud in this, as stealthing it solo could prove quite hard to do. Get a single safe open and grab what's in it. If it's not worth $15,000, then open some tills up in the shops and grab the cash. Once you have $15,000 stolen, you have to wait for the van to appear. There are 2 back alleys it may appear in, once has a door you need to pick the lock off, so it's a good idea to do this whilst you wait, to save time later if the van appears there. Once it arrives, get in and escape.

Co-op: In Co-op, you can easily stealth this with the use of enough ECM Jammers. The first thing to do would be to find all of the cameras in the four stores. Once you know where they are, all mask up and throw an ECM one at a time, killing all civilians, guards, and cameras on the map. Make sure you remember where the guards were killed, so you can go back and get their pagers. Now since you're stealthing this, you have time to picklock a safe, which is quicker than drilling it. After this, it's the same procedure as above, open tills if you don't have enough, and wait for the van, lock picking the door whilst you wait.

Mallcrasher(Loud)

There is also an achievement in this heist for looting $1.8m in loose cash within 50 seconds of the heist starting on Overkill or above.

All take OVE9000 Saws. The more people you have in a group, the easier this is. Start putting your mask on as the screen fades black, every second counts. As you enter, there is an ATM on both the left and right, get both. Go upstairs, there will be 1 on your left, 2 in a room to the left, and 1 in front by the stairs on your right. Just in case this isn't enough, you also want to run upstairs and grab a piece of jewelry or 2 from the store up and to the right.

  • $1.8M Speedrun

Mallcrasher - Loot $1.8m in loose cash within 50 seconds of starting the heist on OVERKILL.

    $1.8M Speedrun

Note, this achievement is very glitchy. I recommend the online workaround for this achievement, as it's much easier in a group. Check the hints and tips page for how to do it.

Assets: Gas Can, Ammo Bag, Doctor Bag, Gas Can

Solo/Co-op: The method for this heist doesn't really differ, and there isn't much in the way of a guide for this heist. Your goal is to cause $50,000 worth of damage in the mall, then wait for the helicopter to escape. Smash everything in sight to achieve this, including anything inside the stores you can, then find a store or 2 to hunker down in and survive till the escape is ready.

Meltdown (Loud)

Assets: Ammo Bag, Doctor Bag

Solo/Co-op: This heist is set in a bigger version of the Shadow Raid map and during the daytime. Start by running around and opening every shipping container that you can, as the vault is in one of them. As you do this, be on the lookout for crowbars, as you will need 3 to jam the 3 vents of the vault once you find it (if I remember correctly, a lot of the spawns are similar to Shadow Raid). You might need to find keycards if the only crowbars you can find are in cages unless you want to spend more time here by drilling them open.

Once you have put the 3 crowbars in, wait for the failsafe to kick in. Whilst this is happening, look around for a forklift and park it by the vault. Once the vault opens, throw 3 bags onto the forklift, technically it can only hold 3, but if you throw the rest on just right, they will balance on it. Drive outside and to the other side of the shipping yard, you'll find a car here, either load the remaining 3 bags in or all 4, you can try to do this in one trip in co-op if someone wants to run the forklift. Otherwise, do it in 2 to be safe.

Now I'm not 100% sure, but I think the route to the trainyard, in terms of what is blocked off and what isn't is random every time. So just follow the path that's open all the way to the train and load all of the bags you have in, if you're doing 2 trips, load your 3/4 in and go back for the other 2. If you're doing it in one, maybe have someone stick close to the forklift on Deathwish to assist them, as that thing drives very slowly. Either way, get every bag in that's needed to escape then climb into the train to finish.

Nightclub (Stealth/Aggressive Stealth)

There is also an achievement in this heist, which requires you to have 12 hostages on the dance floor when you escape. Safe to say, it's far easier in co-op over solo, as you have more cable ties, and more people to control the crowd.

Don't use the bad music preplanning, as it drives civilians away. Go in and do the aggressive stealth tactic again, making sure not to kill civilians this time, except for the top floor. Have one person work on opening doors, whilst the other keeps everyone down and stars cable tying them. Move them if they're not already on the dance floor, and stop them at the floor so they'll stay there. Make sure to try and space them out, so it's easier to count them when you want to double-check. Once the objective is done, double-check you have 12 on the floor, and run to the exit.

  • Hey Mr. DJ

Nightclub - Have 12 hostages or more on the dance floor when you escape.

    Hey Mr. DJ

Just in case this isn't enough, you also want to run upstairs and grab a piece of jewellery or 2 from the store up and to the right.

  • $1.8M Speedrun

Mallcrasher - Loot $1.8m in loose cash within 50 seconds of starting the heist on OVERKILL.

    $1.8M Speedrun

Assets: Bad Music, Loot Drop Truck, Body Bags (may not be needed in co-op)

Solo/Co-op: This will be easier to aggressive stealth in co-op, just due to having more time to clear bodies away from cameras. If in solo, it may be easier to stealth this somewhat properly. To start off, go to the entrance, and when the guy stops you, step back so he doesn't detect you. He'll step aside, so enter the club then, watching out for guards, as if you walk too close, they will detect you. If you're in co-op, all mask up now and throw down ECM jammers one at a time, killing all civilians and guards. If in solo, try to sneak your way carefully into the back of the club, behind the bar.

Now if you're doing this aggressive, make sure that before the ECM's wear off, that you check for cameras and move any bodies in sight of them. If in solo, just eliminate the guards out of sight of a camera, or just ECM, kill them and move them. Once everyone out back is dead in solo, or everyone in the club in co-op, we'll need to open some doors. There are a few door locations that could contain the correct safe. If you have leftover ECM's, just get them open that way, otherwise, look for a keycard to open one and drill the rest.

There are 2 upstairs locations, on either side of the club, and 3 out back locations that could be in any combination on your run. Open the doors and look for safes upstairs. Even if multiple of them have safes, pick the lock or drill them all open anyway, in case one isn't the right one. After that, simply drop the bags into the loot truck, then get to the escape.

Santa's Workshop (Loud)

Assets: Grenade Case, Doctor Bag, Ammo Bag

Solo/Co-op: This heist is one of a few endless heists and one that's very good for XP on Overkill at that. On Deathwish though, for the sake of achievements, get the bare minimum and get out. Go inside the building, where there are 4 "elves". Shout at them, and they'll start packing away the drugs. They may need to be shouted at to carry on, then once they're done with one, shout again to get the whole process started again. You might as well get as many bags as you can, then clump them all together in a corner downstairs that is near to both doors. After a while, a "chimney" will open, allowing you to throw the bags in. Try and get as many as you can in, you will be told periodically how long before they close again. Once you have the minimum amount in, if you have any left and enough time, throw the rest of the bags down, otherwise, just escape to get this heist done.

Ukrainian Job (Stealth/Aggressive Stealth)

Assets: N/A

Solo/Co-op: Okay, so this mission is very simple, on Overkill and under that is. It still isn't that difficult in hindsight though, it's just a Jewelry Store rehash with a metal detector in the front door. On Overkill or below, hold cn_LB during the screen displaying difficulty as the heist starts, and shoot out and sprint through one of the two windows. You will need C4 for this to work, go to the back and C4 the first safe you see. If it doesn't have the tiara, restart. If it does, book it back to the van to get:

As for Deathwish, just do this similarly to how you do Jewelry Store, minus the fact that you go to the right side of the building to start since there's no way to jump the left fence. If you want extra cash, bring bags of jewellery to the van, making sure not to run through the front door to take it out.

White Xmas (Loud)

Assets: N/A

Solo/Co-op: This is another heist that can technically go on forever. However, we will just go with the basic completion of it. You start off needing to find the pilot. You will then need to shout at him repeatedly to get him to go up the hill. Cover him till the chopper arrives, then escort him to it, shouting again when needed. Now it's time to find the bare minimum product we need to get by. Look for present boxes scattered around, and open them up. Some will contain something you can bag up, some will contain nothing of use. Grab 3-4 bags and wait till a chopper arrives to collect them. Throw the bags in, and escape to finish.
