8. The Big Three

This part is incredibly painful. The last 3 achievements require you to beat the Volcanic Ash, Pirate Plague, and Shut Down Everything Scenarios on normal difficulty or higher while scoring 3 biohazards with every single plague type. Some of these, such as Neurax, are easy and you have already done. Others, such as Necroa and Simian Flu, are horrendously frustrating to even win with, let alone get a great score. This is the part where you have to utilize everything you've learned about the game and hope lady luck is truly on your side. With that, let's begin.

Pirate Plague

Follow this below strategy for bacteria, virus, parasite and prion. Start on normal with these genes:

Cytochrome Surge
Genetic Mimic
Aquacyte
Urbophile
Sympto-Stasis

Start in China and evolve:

Rash
Sweating
Skin Lesions
Coughing
Sneezing
Air I and II
Cold Resistance I
Drug Resistance I

Devolve any lethal symptoms that mutate and SAVE once China is infected. If Philippines isn't infected within a month, reload the save. Now keep an eye on New Guinea. No boats? Load and try again.

Once you have only a few islands left uninfected, evolve Spore Burst, V, VI and Spore Burst. Now evolve:

Use your reshuffles to keep the cure low, as always.

For Super Sparrow, change Aquacyte to Aerocyte and evolve Air before Water.
For Mr. President, change Aquacyte to Suppression and keep an eye on the cure.

Start in Saudi Arabia, quickly spread upon the world using Saudi Arabia's airplanes, then grind out with Zombie Horde. Evolve:

SAVE your game after evolving Bat 1, load if you don't mutate Hyper Salivation in about 100 days. Evolve:

SAVE here. If Saudi shuts airports before you infect Australia and one of the North American countries, reload your game. Save some DNA points waiting for the second mutation, load if you didn't get Cannibalism in about 200 days. Evolve:

SAVE here again. Time to utilize special ability Zombie Horde, thanks to Spliced Activation it only costs 2 DNA per use. Send zombies whenever you have DNA points, try to infect the world ASAP. When you are about to infect the whole world evolve:

Bone Dysplasia
Acidic Reflux
Naja Mortis

If you are concerned with Z-Com, evolve Horde Mentality, Horde Vocalization (and Horde Pheromones if you have enough DNA points) and send waves of zombies at Z-Com, they don't even stand a chance.

For Nano-Virus...

Change Cytochrome Surge to ATP Boost
Evolve Code Fragment Interception after Sweating
Evolve Code Segment Interception after Sneezing

You won't have to worry about the cure since you will be spreading around the world and stabilizing in four months, the cure remains below 80%. Overload as soon as you get each of the tier-one resistances. Keep in mind that Insomnia, Paranoia, Inflammation, Seizures, Insanity, Paralysis, Coma are really really cheap now.

For Bio-Weapon...

Change Cytochrome Surge to ATP Boost and Sympto-Stasis to Patho-Stasis

Evolve Gene Compression I and Nucleic Acid Neutralization I right after evolving Skin Lesions, skip Coughing and Sneezing. Evolve Deactivated Modified Genes I and Gene Compression II between Air I and II, Nucleic Acid Neutralization II after Air 2, and get coughing and sneezing. Evolve Gene Compression III, Deactivated Modified Genes II, and get Nucleic Acid Neutralization III after Rodent I. If you are killing too quickly, get Deactivated Modified Genes III. One you have a very high infection, finish it off by evolving the Annihilate Gene.

For Simian Flu use:

Start in Central Africa and evolve:

Simian Neuro-Genesis
Inter-Genus Dissemination I and II
Ape Colonies and set your first colony in Central Africa
Organised Travel

Send your colony to East Africa while infecting Sudan and set a colony in Central Africa (Close to West Africa) and another one in Sudan. Send the colony in Central Africa to West Africa after it generates DNA and set your fourth colony in Central Africa again. By this time, Saudi Arabia should be infected, evolve Logistics and send them to Russia while infecting Iraq, Iran, Central Asia, Kazakhstan, and China.

Evolve Seafaring and send a troop from Saudi Arabia to New Zealand while infecting India, Indonesia, Australia. Evolve Cognitive Shift and Education, your apes must have arrived in Russia by now. Send apes from Russia to Mexico while infecting Baltic States, Poland, Gemany, France, Caribbean, and Central America. Now send another troop to Canada while infecting Iceland and Greenland; and the last one from Morocco to Argentina while infecting Brazil and Bolivia. Set your last colony in Indonesia and evolve:

Restart if it took you more than 9 months to reach this point. Evolve:
Bird I and II
Air I
Water I
Fomites I, II, III
Bat I and II

When a Gen-Sys lab pops up, evolve Ape Rampage and destroy it. Send apes from Southeast Asia to New Guinea while infecting Phlippines, and another group from China to Japan while infecting Korea, the last one will be from U.K to Iceland. Ramp up symptoms, which I will not specify but try to get those that both increases infectivity and lethality. You'll also want to get Cold and Drug Resistance II during this process. After you get all of the 'good' symptoms, it's time for the final blow - Total Brain Death. Evolve Air and Water II, Extreme Bioaerosol afterwards, otherwise people die too quickly before they infect others in Canada. You can leave Greenland or small numbers of humans alive and healthy to end the game.

Shadow Plague

The latest addition to the game is the Shadow Plague. The main setup for is almost the same of each of these three scenarios. Shadow Plague, for all three scenarios, will require a bit of good timing. Always play on normal speed, to allow you better control over what happens. When you first land in and uninfected country, wait for your vampire to infect the first wave of people (a few thousand) and then pause the game before continuing. Plan out you journey before you continue, you'll want to land in every single uninfected country (or barely infected, under 2000 people or so for example) as efficiently as possible, and to this end use the shortest flight paths possible, and try to travel to the closest possible country.

With that being said start a new game on Normal and choose the following genes;

Brawler

Budget Bat

Aerocyte

Urbophile

Mad Scientist

Start all the way over in Canada. Once you start, evolve the following;

Shadow Blessing

Lair

Theriantropy

Blood Gift

Dark Cloud

From here, fly to the USA and place your first lair here. Then follow the following flight and evolution path;

Fly south to Mexico, Central America and then the Caribbean, remembering to pause in each country for the first wave of infections. While in the Caribbean, evolve;

Shadow Trail

Fly south again into Colombia and Peru, and here evolve;

Droplets 1

Continue around the remaining South American countries in the following order; Bolivia, Argentina and then Brazil. Once in Brazil, evolve;

Travel Speed 1

Fly east and land in West Africa, and establish your second lair here.

SAVE here.

From where you are in West Africa, you have another long string of flights. You'll want to travel in this order; Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Central Africa, Angola, Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, East Africa, Madagascar, Sudan, Egypt and finally Saudi Arabia. During these flights and infections, as soon as you have enough DNA available, evolve the following;

Fomites 1

Corrupted Air

Droplets 2

Fomites 2

Shadow Portal

You'll then want to continue flying around the rest of Asia, finishing up in Russia. Take the following path, starting in Saudi Arabia. Fly to Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Central Asia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, S.E. Asia, China then Russia. Once you reach Russia, set up your third lair, close to the border of Europe. Finally, you'll want to fly down to Oceania and infect all the countries there. You can take the following path; Russia, Korea, Japan, Philippines, Indonesia, New Guinea, New Zealand then Australia. Set up your fourth and final lair in Australia.

From here, teleport back to your lair in Russia. From here you'll want to fly around the remaining uninfected/ barely infected countries. From Russia, fly to Finland, then Norway, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Baltic States, Ukraine, Central Europe, Balkan States, Italy, Spain, France, UK, Iceland then Greenland. You should now have every country in the world infected. During these flights into Scandinavia and Europe, as soon as you have the DNA available, evolve the following;

Nocturnal

Anaemia

Pallor

Weeping Sores

Hyperdontia

Jugular Bite

Shadow Slaves

Teleport to your lair in the USA, wait here for about 5-10 seconds, then fly up to Canada and wait there until you get enough DNA to evolve;

Blood Rage

SAVE here.

At this point, your games should have been running for around 8 months, and Templar Strongholds will have begun to appear. From here, you must fight the Templars, Destroy labs and protect your lairs. You should always, prioritise destroying labs (without the virus in the game, your vampire will die) and defending your lairs. If you are attacking a Templar Stronghold and either a lab or a drone appears, go destroy that immediately, you can come back to a Templar base, they don't heal too quickly.

If you don't manage to destroy lab before it is fully operational and goes blue, reload the last save. Remember to let your vampire heal in the lairs in between fights if needed.

From this point, any time you stop in a country, you'll want to use Blood Rage in that country, to greatly increase infection rates, as well as destroying anything there that you don't want. When you have the DNA available, evolve the following;

Adrenal Surge

Dark Infiltration

Travel to the base that is farthest from your lairs and destroy it. I'd suggest creating a new save here. Remember to let your vampire heal afterwards. Continue to evolve;

Malignant Pigmentation

Lair Healing 1

Shadow Blades

Find the base that is now second farthest from you and destroy that one. I'd suggest creating a new save here as well. Continue evolving;

Hypersensitivity

Dark Pustules

Latent Adaptation

Muscular Hypotrophy

Masticatory Tension

Lair Healing 2

Now you want to be taking out the final two Templar strongholds simultaneously. Travel to the second closest to your lairs and take it down to around 10% health. Teleport to near the other stronghold and destroy that one completely. Then head back to the weakened base and destroy that as well. This should deal with all the Templar strongholds.

Now simply to deal with the remaining labs and the rest of the world. Travel to the countries that are not fully infected yet and deploy use your Blood Rage in that country, prioritising countires that are listed as the key contributors to cure research. Travel around the remaining countries and wipe them all out using this method. For added effect, if you have DNA points spare you can evolve;

Blood Sacrifice 1

Dermal Calcification

Blood Sacrifice 2

These will all help wipe out humanity quicker.

After wiping out the Earth with the help of your Shadow Slaves, you will have finished the final plague for this scenario and will pop;

Shut Down Everything

Use the same as above for the special plagues (Fungus, Necroa, Simian Flu, Shadow Plague) but for everything else, use the set-up below. Obviously, with Nano-Virus you'll want to use your Overload and jammers to block the cure, and for Bio-Weapon get your Annihilation Gene. Start with:

Volcanic Ash

Same Simian strategy works here, as well as fungus since the ash doesn't stop the spread of spores. The shadow Plague solution above also works here, just switch your Aerocyte gene for the Teracyte gene and follow as that previous solution as normal.

Reshuffle your way to victory. As before, use the disease specific abilities like Overload and Annihilation Gene for those playthroughs.

For Necroa change Aerocyte to Aquacyte and Xerophile to Rurophile. Start in India as opposed to Saudi Arabia. Evolve:

Wait for Polyphagia to mutate. If it doesn't when the mutation occurs, restart and try again. Once it does, SAVE and evolve:

Gastroenteritis
Autophagia

Wait for Cannibalism to mutate. If it doesn't, load your save and get to this point until it does and SAVE again. Once India is fully infected, wait for the infection to reach the United States. If it takes too long, load your save. Evolve Zombie Horde and every single upgrade for it, especially making sure to pick up Drifting Fermentation. Drag a population of zombies to Brazil for access to South America. Evolve:

Use your abilities to make your zombies powerful, migrating hordes to all the islands of the world and infecting everything. Focus on destroying Z-Com rapidly to make things go faster and keep the cure down. This one is very hard, but you will eventually prevail and earn:
