2. RISK Story walkthrough

Start a local game with a total of 3 local players, all of which are human. Place all your main account’s troops (player 1), in North America and in South America, with the exception of Brazil. Place all of the troops of the other 2 players in the rest of the world (also 1 in Brazil). Make sure that both player 2 and player 3 do not own an entire continent. Add all of the additional troops which you get somewhere in South America for player 1 (all in 1 territory), and somewhere in Asia for player 2 and 3. Whenever it is player 2 or 3’s turn, add all of the troops somewhere in Asia and skip. When it is player 1’s turn, add all of the troops in the territory in South America, and attack Brazil.

Then capture as much of Africa as possible, and skip your turn. Next few turns, let player 2 and 3 attack each other, and conquer both Africa and Europe with player 1. Since you will always attack with 3+ vs 1, you should unlock this achievement sometime.

In turn 4, you will get this following achievement.
This We'll Defend

You should now have had around 4-6 turns.
Now capture at least 1 territory each turn until turn 9, but make sure you keep at least 7 hostile territories. Make sure you capture Australia in these turns, as this will give you another 2 bonus troops each round. Also do not use your cards yet!

In turn 10, trade in all of your cards, and place all of the troops you get in territories next to hostile territories.

Now start another local game, this time with 2 players total. Choose all of the territories in North America, Place all of player 1’s troops in North America, South America and Africa, and place at least 1 in the remaining continents. Now do not attack the other player for the first 5 turns.

Start another local game, this time with 4 human players. Simply let players 2, 3 and 4 attack each other, but make sure to capture each player’s last territory with player 1.

You might already have this achievement. If not, you will definitely get it by boosting for the 50 eliminations, which you’ll be doing later on.

Boosting for some eliminations, that is what we are going to do now. Start up a couple of 4 player local games, and keep making all of the eliminations (capturing a player’s last territory) with your main account. I would not go past 20 eliminations, as you will get some eliminations from doing the online achievements. It is obviously best not to waste time, and get the online achievements out of the way before getting your 50th elimination.

You should’ve made some decent progress towards, or unlocked these two achievements.

Next, I would advise to set up a boosting session for the online achievements. Playing random matches can take a lot of time. Besides, players will either quit out or will not enter their turn, when they know that they are losing. The online works as follows:
There are 4 leagues. You can play against someone from any league. You will have to play 6 matches. When you reach 60 points or more in these 6 matches, you will get promoted. When you reach 80 points or more, you will get a gold medal and will get promoted as well. Fewer than 60 points means no promotion. You get 20 points for coming in first place, and 2 points for coming in 2nd place. Besides, each elimination is worth 5 points. If a player leaves, the territories the player had will be controlled by an AI.

A match can only be started by the host, when all players in the lobby are readied up. A lobby can have a maximum of 5 players. You can start a match with 2 or more players. Ideally, you will get a lobby up with ONE other boosting partner. If so, each player can also control some neutral territories and these also count as an elimination. To evenly divide the points, let one player destroy both neutral territories to gain a total of 15 points. Then let the other player defeat the player that destroyed the 2 neutral players, to gain a total of 25 points.

You will have to play all 6 games, before you can promote to the next league. Even if you have enough points already in game 3 or 4.

Captain’s league, Major’s league, Colonel’s league, General’s league

Note: (glitch 1): One glitch which I encountered was that me and my boosting partner where not able to play against each other after playing 3 games against each other UNLESS there was another player present in the lobby who we hadn’t played yet. However, the next day we were able to play each other with no trouble, again for 3 times.

Note (glitch 2): If you reach both 80+ points AND win the last game, you will be promoted twice for no reason. My boosting partner won game 5, and it put him in the Colonel’s league, instead of the Major’s league. We later teamed up with 2 other boosters and both of them got placed into the colonel’s league as well, after having 80+ points and winning game 5. This glitch only worked while playing in the captain’s league.

So it is best to have more than 1 boosting partner, since you are not able to play each other after 3 games in a single day (unless there’s a third player in the lobby). Besides, it is best to play 2 player games. If you can get 3 people together, let 2 players play each other and the other guy plays local with 4 human players to gain some eliminations.
With just 2 players, play each other 3 times a day, and then play each other again the next day (or later in the week). With 4 players just keep playing against another guy.

Regarding random players, they can be a bit annoying if you encounter them. Try to play on times when there’s not that much people around. Otherwise, you could just wait for them to leave your lobby, and then ready up to start the game.

After promoting once:

If you’ve also used the above mentioned glitch:

After playing 5 games in the Colonel’s league, in which you’ve scored at least 60 points, you’ll get:

Top Table

Get promoted to the General's League

Top Table
1 guideOnline Game ModeVersusOnline Skill

Now you are in the General’s league. You will have to score 80+ points in order to win the league. With 2 player games you should get 25 or 15 points, so an average of 20. Therefore, you should be able to get 100 points in 5 games, which is obviously enough to win the General’s league.

You might have reached 50 eliminations from doing the online achievements. If not, play some more local games with 4 human players.
