Well, Race Pro is a racing simulator and yeah ok it is a great simulator but I personally didn't really get a kick out of playing it which is what I wanna get when I play a racing game.
Good Points--Various Difficulties,(novice, semi-pro, professional) if you want to take it easy with all of the assists on for you (ABS, Stability control etc) then you can do that. If you want to drive the cars as they're meant to be driven then put it on professional and hit the road. The AI are wise and will to react to how you race. If you look at the loading screen they mention the false overtake tactic which the AI will use against you hoping you will make a mistake. I took semi-pro difficulty throughout career and found it pretty fun.
--Raced in professional throughout the career? Show off your gold cars as your racing online, although, the cars don't look gold...more like black. For winning a race on semi-pro difficulty you will unlock that car in a silver livery and for racing in novice (as you may have guessed) you get a bronze livery.
--Achievements - The achievements are alright. The 100% is very possible although the career will take you a while as there are 33 contracts and each contract has 3 events. So thats 99 races (More with the stand-ins your asked to do). If your looking to complete all championships just for the achievements and not for the gameplay then check the solution on this site as this will knock hours of game time off.
--There are either 12 or 13 tracks available to race on all of which are real tracks from different countries. When you learn the tracks properly (breaking points, racing lines etc) they become great fun to drive on. You can race on both open tracks and through thin streets where you can bearly fit 2 cars side by side.
Bad PointsOk one of the things I did't like about this game is (as mentioned above) the length of the career. You will feel like you are spending half of your life playing this as towards the end of the game, the races will take around 10/15 mintutes per race.
Online events - There are 8 online achievements (I think). For 6 of these I had a partner to boost with and even then it took us aaaages to get them.Glad to get the achievements out of the way.
Online you will only really have fun if your a really good racer or get a group of 4 or more friends to race with otherwise the online will be a bore as people concentrate more on their racing and won't chat until they get a chance to rest.
When your doingranked matches you cannot stay in the same lobby after each race so you will have to leave and find a new lobby. 'What's the point in the ranked matches' i ask myself.
Anyway...
not really sure what else I can add to this but if you learn the tracks and learn how the cars handle then you will enjoy the game but if you want this game just to have a quick mess around on then to be honest I wouldnt recommend it as its not really that fun until you've played it for a while. Because of this i'm giving it 3/5.
