Just in case you skipped over the Tips sections, use to run and to show all the interactive areas (the magnifying glass icon). When using an interactive area, there are four possible options, Look , Use , Talk , or Inventory .
From here on out, when I say Look, that means to interact with a magnifying glass, then press . Use means to interact and then , etc.
So let's begin!
After the cutscene is finished and we get out of the car, the first achievement will pop simply for turning up. Nice and easy.
Look at the cop car in front of you.
Look at the open window.
Look at the crowd at the bottom of the screen.
Look at the police officer kneeling next to the grass.
Move across to the right and dialogue will start automatically. Press to go through all the talking.
Move left to the door. Use, then select, "1. Go In."
There is an achievement to interact with everything in this room, but first, move to the left to Talk to the Sheriff. Cycle through all the dialogue; ask all four questions and then end questions.
More dialogue and then select "2. (remain silent)" twice.
More dialogue and then select "1. Okay."
Once the talking is done, you’re free to look around the room.
Walk to the far left and Look at Diane’s body.
Move to the right a little and Look at the kitchen cupboard signed Chris ’96.
Move a little to the right and Look at the gun on the floor. Then select "1. Open Barrel."
Move a smidge to the right. Use the draw to look at the box of 38. Bullets.
Look at Chris’ body. Then "1. Examine hand."
Look at the wine glass on the table.
Then Talk to the deputy next to Diane’s body. Select "1. Yes."
Move over to the people on the right. The dialogue will start automatically. When asked for coffee, select "1. Yes Please."
Ask Mr. Willis all three questions, then select "4. (move on to other questions)." Then ask the three new questions that appear. When the deputy interjects select "1. (Ignore and remain silent)."
Cycle through the dialogue, select "2. Remain silent," then "3. We don’t know the complete picture yet."
We’ll then be in a car. Cycle through the dialogue once more, select "1. It’s alright," and then ask the two available questions before selecting "3. (end dialogue)."
After the cutscene walk to the right and Talk to the mechanic behind the car. Select "1. What’s the issue with the car?" Then "2. How long will it take to fix?"
The mechanic will then ask for his wrench. Select "1. Alright."
When the talking is done walk over to the right and Use the toolbox on the ground. It’ll need a key, so walk back over to the mechanic and Talk to him.
Cycle through the dialogue and then walk over to the left and Use the shovel by the front of the garage. This will give you the key to the toolbox.
Walk back over to the toolbox on the right. Inventory will open the box, then select "1. Take big red wrench."
Walk back over to the mechanic and Inventory to give him the wrench.
Then select "3. (end conversation)."
The mechanic will initiate a new conversation. Cycle through all dialogue, selecting all three available questions.
When the conversation with the mechanic is done, walk over to the left to wher our partner is standing.
Talk to her. Select "1. Are you okay?" Then "1. (Apologize for the accident)." Then "2. I thought I saw something," and finally, "1. A person."
Cycle through the rest of the dialogue until you find yourself in town. opens the map, but we won’t need it.
Go to the right until you see Mark (red shirt, glasses). Talk to him. Ask all three questions, question three will lead to two more questions, ask those and then choose "3. (Back to previous questions)," then "4. (More questions)." Ask the two new questions, then "3. (Back to previous questions)," and finally, "5. We’ll talk later."
Continue right and Talk to Grandpa (the old man sat in front of Grandpa’s Bakery). Ask all three questions, question two will lead to further options, select "2. Sleeping?" After that’s done, select "4. (More questions)." Ask the two new questions, then "3. (Back to previous questions)," and finally "5. We’ll talk later."
Move further right and Talk to Mrs. Brown (the old woman in a red skirt who was being harassed by Grandpa). She’s too busy to talk, so simply cycle through her dialogue.
Then Talk to Johnny (kneeling in front of Mrs. Brown in the green hoodie). He simply says, "Hello detective," but you need to speak to him as part of an achievement.
From here run all the way right, up the side of a hill and up to a church.
Talk to the father pacing in front of the church, select "1. It’s peaceful." Ask all three questions, then select "4. We’ll talk later."
Run back to the left, to the bottom of the hill, and just a bit left of that, at the bottom of the screen is a street sign for Overlook Street. Use the sign.
Run all the way right and off-screen.
Continue to the right and Talk to Mary (the woman in a grey cardigan watering the plants). Cycle through the dialogue to make it into the hotel room.
Walk slightly left to the drawers and Use them. Select sleepwear.
Then Use the light switch on the wall to the left of the bathroom door. Walk over to the bed. Use, then select "1. Go to bed."
From here, we’ll be in a nightmare sequence. Don’t worry, this isn’t a horror game, so there are no jump scares. Run all the way to the right and drop down. Look at the gravestone. Cycle through the dialogue and then hammer . Cycle through all three options, then select "1. It was my fault." Cycle through the remaining dialogue until we reach the next day.

Walk over to the drawers, Use, then select Classic. Run to the door, select "1. [Yes]."
We’re now in Mark’s coffee shop. Cycle through the dialogue then run to the left and Talk to Mark. Use the coffee on the counter to pick it up. We can talk to the man at the table but it isn’t necessary for completion.
Run to the right and Use the table to sit back down. Select "1. Visit the crime scene," then "1. Yes."
Before going to the crime scene, run to the right and Talk to Allan (the guy in all back leaning against the wall, smoking). Ask all three questions, then select "4. We’ll talk later."
Run to the left until you hit Pineview Books, then Use the Aspen Street sign.
There are a couple of teenagers that can be talked to on the right, but again it isn’t necessary for completion. Run all the way to the left and off-screen.
We’ll automatically be back in the house, but this time upstairs in the bedroom.
Look at the mirror, then select "1. Kind of."
Use the drawers under the mirror.
To the right of the drawers, Look at the photograph on the bedside table, then Use the bedside table drawers.
Look at the painting above the bed.
Look at the bed.
Use the bedside table on the right of the bed. It’s locked and will need a key.
Look at the photograph on the window sill.
Look at the trashcan, then Use trashcan.
Look at the bookshelf.
Look at the boombox.
Look at the corkboard on the wall. Select "1. Chris."
Go back to the painting above the bed and Look at it again. This time you’ll pick up the key.
Use the bedside table on the right of the bed.

Cycle through the dialogue.
We’ll now find ourselves in a flashback.
Cycle through the dialogue and then run all the way left. Cycle through more dialogue. Select "2. You’re right I don’t," then "1. Beautiful evening," then "1. Fireflies," then "2. What do you do?", then finally, "1. Who do you know here?"
Cycle through more dialogue until we’re standing in front of a city skyline. Select "2. This moment." Enjoy the fireworks display and an achievement!
Cycle through the dialogue until we’re back in Mark’s coffee shop. Select "1. I was examining the floor," then "1. I think you’re capable." At this point, the deputy will turn up.
Run to the left and Talk to Mark.
Use the tray on top of the counter with three coffees on it to pick them up.
Inventory on the table to start the dialogue. The deputy has stolen our seat; rude! Select "2. Madagascar." Cycle through the rest of the dialogue.
Run to the right and Use the Overlook Street sign.
Run all the way to the right, there is someone to talk to here on the bench, but again it isn’t needed for the completion. Continue running right all the way off-screen.
Talk to Mary. Select "1. The view is great," then ask the next two questions, followed by the next two questions. Select "2. Remain silent."
Run to the right, Use the door.
Back in the hotel room but this time we have to take a bath. Use the bathroom door. Then, same as before, Use the drawers, change into sleepwear, Use the light switch, and Use the bed, selecting "1. Go to sleep."
We’ll once again find ourselves in a nightmare. This time it loops. Simply keep running to the left until the loop stops. Hammer .
Cycle through the dialogue until we reach the next day. Use the drawers and change into Classic. Run to the door, select "1.[Yes]."
Select "1. Interview Brad."
We’re back on the main street and Johnny’s photos have been blown away by the wind. Use the three on the road near Mark. Then continue left and Use the fourth photo to the side of the Aspen street sign.
Continue left and Talk to the dog.
Run to the right and Talk to Mark.
Run to the left and Use the dumpster to the side of Mark’s coffee shop.
Return to the dog and "1. Offer bone." Shockingly, the dog turns this tasty offer down. Run to the right and Talk to Grandpa in front of Grandpa’s bakery. Cycle through the dialogue and return to Talk to the dog again. This time, select ‘"1. Offer biscuits." Finally, the dog relents. Use the fifth photo from the street.
Run to the right and Talk to Johnny (the guy in the green hoodie stood next to our partner). Cycle through the dialogue and ask all three questions.
Run to the left and Use the Aspen street sign.
Run to the left and between two cars will be a road heading down, marked by two arrows saying, "Way to Sheriff’s Dept." Use the road.
Run to the left and Talk to Brad (the guy in a green blazer).
Cycle through the dialogue and ask all three questions.
We’ll find ourselves in a flashback again.
Select "2. It’s good to see you again."
Cycle through a bunch of dialogue and select "2. No, I’m not scared."
Run to the right. Use the car. Select "2. [Search]," then "1. [Take fuel container]," then "2. [Search]," then "1. [Take scissors]," and finally, "2. [Fill fuel]" and "4. [Exit]." Now run left to the boat.
Use the boat. Select "4. [Cut rope]," then "4. [Exit]."
Run over to the rope and Use it.
Run over to the car and Use it. Select "3. [Attach rope]," then "4. [Exit]."
Return back to the boat. Use boat and select "2. [Attach rope]." Return to the car. Use it and select "1. [Drive]."
Use car, select "1. [Remove fuel]," and then "3. [Exit]."
Return to the boat. Use it and select"4. [Fill fuel]," then "2. [Turn on engine]," and finally, "1. [Push]."
Cycle through all the dialogue. Select "1. I’m happy you’re here," then "1. Your family and childhood," then "1. Your friends," and finally, "1. Your previous relationships."
Select "2. What are your passions?" Then "2. Tell me what inspires you?."
Cycle through yet more dialogue, then run to the left into the water.
More dialogue, until we find ourselves in Diane’s house.
Select "1. When are your exams?" Then "2. Check out that travel book I got you?" Then "3. I'll be moving to Pineview soon," and finally, "4. Where’s the bloody pizza? (end conversation)."
There's some more dialogue to cycle through. Select "1. I don’t understand," and then "3. I think I’ll really like what I find," and finally, "1. When will I see you?"
Finish talking to Brad.
There are still another three-ish hours of gameplay left after this to finish the story, but the achievement list is finished. Congrats on your new 1,000 Gamerscore!
