You'll be in an area called Nomad's Camp. I got the achievement for 100 rat kills early in this area, you should be close, but we still got 5 chapters and 2 playthroughs to go. Once you have achievement there's no reason to kill rats.
Follow the path until you get a scene. Kill the enemies, head northwest, and take the path going north when you see it. Follow the path to the end to find a chest. Continue northwest to find a chest and a hexmark. Now take the south path by the sanctuary. You'll have a scene. I chose "You Besiege my city, I kill your warriors", then "I am Kalig, the Bandit King". DO NOT pick "I came from the catacombs" as that will earn you a meanie head point. Instead choose "Bite me, dog-breath". This will result in a fight. The 3 gladiators are a bit stronger than the enemies you fought on the way here, but should still be easy. After that, you have a boss. He seemed to do less damage than the gladiators, but he can stun you. When you cut him down you'll get a scene and a new puppet. This new puppet isn't that bad. I actually used him because he can equip that Mjolnir? weapon we got so long ago. Anyway, head east to the sanctuary, then go southeast. Continue following the path, you'll come across a hexmark, crystal, and then a chest. Keep going and you'll get a scene at the door, continue southeast to the exit to The Outlands.The Outlands
Head west and you'll be introduced to a new enemy. Continue west to find a Desert Cave, go up the ramp north of the entrance to find a chest and a hexmark. Now enter the Desert Cave. Inside you'll find a merchant if you need to sell stuff, along with a cenotaph you need to activate, and a shadow trader/stash. Not really much to do. If you didn't have enough gold previously to toss 999 silver into the well, you can use the cenotaph to head to Thole to do that now. Speaking of, go to Thole regardless and talk to Arashad. Choose the options for the Catacombs and the Outlands, then when you ask about the scorpion make sure to choose "Fine, two hundred" for a charity point. Choose the options about merchant too, if you talked to Saleen (the merchant in the Desert Cave) make sure to choose "Fair enough" instead of asking for 100 gold. Return to Saleen in the Desert Camp and exhaust every option to get a bunch of side quests. Exit the cave, and you'll be attacked by two enemies. Head south, and continue following the west wall over a bridge and then west, when you see a broken bridge cross it with the Devourer. The porcupines here resist slash damage, so you'll want to use Kalig (if he is using a blunt weapon, since his bladed weapons also do slash) or Urshak. You want to take the path in the southwest part of this area. Follow it to undead enemies, then go into the shadow realm. You need to kill the revenant here or the undead keep reviving. After you kill him you can kill his allies and then head into the cave behind him that leads to Canyon.Canyon
Nothing special about this place. Follow the path, killing crabs as you go (also slash resistant). At the end, you'll find a Box of Outland weapons for a future quest, and a chest that has the Silk Bolts you are after for Saleen, loot it all. Switch to the Devourer on the way out. You'll find a crystal, and just past that is a Shadow Stone that gives you one skill point. You'll also see a bridge to a puzzle. You'll see 3 rings on the ground, you need to rotate them. If you go into the Shadow Realm you'll see the solution on the wall, as well as which 4 tiles have the symbols you need to move. However, here's the solution. Turn the rings to the right, follow this order.
You'll open a small alcove with a chest, grab it and leave. Backtrack to the bridge in the shadow realm and cross it, then follow the west edge of the map west, south, and then west again. When you reach the ledge sitting above the path forward, there's a crystal there. Just past it, you'll find another revenant and some undead, same process applies. North of it is another puzzle, same type of puzzle. You need to get the runes in the 3 middle circles.

Enter the door to the Shrine it opens.Shrine
Follow the path to a room with a bunch of candles. Memorize the pattern and then go to the previous room and put it in. These candle puzzles have a randomized solution each playthrough, so I can't tell you what it is. This should bring up a chest, open it and a monster will spawn, cut it down and grab the Fragment from it we will need it and the 3 others later on. Go north to a fork, then go west for a chest. There's a crystal up the stairs. Now go east to find a boss. When prompted, DO NOT choose Aye, as you'll pick up some meanie points. Instead, say Nay. You'll face a boss. The boss will swap between his demon form and his sword form, you'll need to kill both to kill him. The altar in the middle of the arena spins, and when it stops it will shoot beams out of the holes in it, they don't do nearly as much damage as I expected, you could probably just ignore them. When he's dead, grab everything. You'll get an achievement.
Return to The Outlands. Backtrack to the north/south fork and go south. In the southwest part of this section is a crystal. Head southeast down the path. Continue until you see 2 paths, take the east one. Northeast of you you'll find a boulder, but go up the ramp and grab the crystal here first. You want to push the boulder northwest through the archway, then across the wooden walkway going northeast, and onto the pressure plate. Go through the wall east of you with the Devourer and grab the stuff in the chest. Now enter the Ruins.Ruins
Head southeast and use the stairway to Ruins - Level 2. Go northwest to a chest and grab the Rope in it. Take the path going northeast to find another chest, then go southeast to find a chest and a hexmark. Go back to the previous chest and go northwest (you'll need to enter the shadow realm to get past the rocks) and take the ladder up to Ruins - Level 1. The room southeast of you has a crystal, and the room southeast of that has a chest. You'll also find a hole in this room, the first time you interact with it you'll drop the rope, then do it again to reach Level 2. Follow the path to a skeleton, you'll get a Fuse from it. Go back up the rope, down the ladder, and go to the stairs that lead to Level 1, and go down the stairs to Level 3 by it. Follow the path to a door, use the lever to open it. There's a crystal by the door. Go north to find a boss of sorts. You need to kill him 3 times before he stays dead. After he's dead loot him. Use the bridge mechanism above it and head down the bridge to Imperial Tomb II.Imperial Tomb II
Head forward to find another annoying ass boulder puzzle. The lever by the grate will summon a boulder, you need to hit the 4 above it in the right order. You'll want to hit #1 relatively early so that it resets in time to hit it again, and for you to have enough time to go all the way back to 4 to hit it. The bottom of the 4 is #1, the top is #4. I gave Urshak the Movement Speed boosting talent, if you're having trouble doing it try giving that talent to him and then trying...the extra move speed can help.
Once you have the door open follow the path to some enemies, kill them all and loot the sarcophagus in the back, then leave. Backtrack to the two paths in The Outlands and take the left one. You'll see a cenotaph, make sure to activate it. West of that cenotaph is an alcove with a chest. Follow the path north and you'll reach entrances to the Scorpion Caves, enter the first one you see.Scorpion Caves
Progress forward, hit the switch, and prepare for another fire tile puzzle. You can see the solution if you switch to the shadow realm. Here's the solution.
Head south until you reach a lever, pull it. Head west and use the exit. Go south and enter the next entrance you see. Follow the path to some rocks, switch to the shadow realm and keep going. You'll reach a circle with some stone lions around it. You want to turn the statues until they face the red circle. Move the north, west and south statues twice, and turn the east one once. Nothing will happen yet. Head west, and switch to the shadow realm to find a bridge to cross. You'll see another statue here, attack it to knock the head off, grab it. Go back to the statues, there is one in the northeast corner that doesn't have a head, put it on and turn it. Grab the Dark Crystal on the pedestal in the shadow realm. Go northwest, where you'll find 2 pedestals, and one is missing the crystal we just got. Use the crystal on it and cross the bridge. Go a bit north past the shadow trader and there are some rocks you can pass through in the shadow realm. You'll find a hexmark. Continue north, go west to find a Shadow Stone, then east for a boss fight. Even on easy, this fight can be dangerous. It has 2 attacks. The first one is where it stings in front of it with its tail when you're in melee range. It doesn't do much damage but stuns you every time it hits and knocks you back, and it will likely outdamage you if you just smash
. The other shoots a couple poison clouds, these did great damage to me even on easy (about 80 a tick) so you shouldn't be in these. Your main problem is going to be dodging the tail stab to get some attacks in while also not standing in any clouds. If you like, you can have Kalig or Zaar kill the lesser scorpions, then kite the boss with Urshak. He has a base 30% poison resistance, so he can deal with the poison clouds more easily, and you can stay out of range of the tail stab. Either way, you'll get an achievement for beating him.
Leave and head south, you'll reach the Oasis. You'll have a scene, then head east, you'll find a Cenotaph. Activate it. You'll see another candle statue, the solution is near where you came in, loot the chest that appears. Now head to the Lower Catacombs (Make The Tholean Tablet quest active). Go south to the sanctuary and then head northeast. At the dead end switch to the shadow realm and go southeast. You should have the key for the door, head inside. Loot the body by the door for a Drumstick, then smack the gong nearby. The yellow ! moves. Head back to the Cenotaph and head northeast to a fork, go northeast. You'll see a glow on a table north of you, put the Drumstick on it and it will be enhanced, go back to the gong and hit it three times. Immediately switch to the Devourer, as all puppets will take poison damage from the cloud. A ton of spirits will start spawning, kill them as they do. Eventually, the coffin will open, flip the switch with a puppet to turn off the poison and loot the bow and tablet. Now return to ol' Arashad in Thole. Report about the Tablet, Scorpion King and Ibnar. With that done, return to the Oasis.Oasis
Go south to find Krenze. Talk to him and say "Aye". You will get a barrage of text. Afterwards, exhaust all the option, then choose the rest option. After the scene, head northeast for a super annoying fight. Basically, the enemy in the arena with you will try to melee attack you. It does hundreds of damage and stuns you. When you're in the mortal realm, the enemy outside the arena will call down magic storms in certain parts of the arena, which do damage and knock you around. When you're in the shadow realm, a demon will take the place of the melee enemy and throw bolts of energy at you. You have zero chance of beating this enemy. Instead, you need to move the lever from the scene until the bridge comes back, then use it to leave. Basically you need to use a puppet to lure the melee enemy away from the lever, then switch to the shadow realm and move to the lever, then switch back into a puppet and spin the lever a few times. Back off and do it again. There are times where the magic storm will be over a lever, while you can ignore the storms in the shadow realm, they will wreck your puppets, so stay in the shadow realm. The demon that hits you in the shadow realm does much less damage than you'll take in the mortal realm. Another alternative is to use Urshak. He should have enough movement speed to lure the melee boss away and then get around it without getting attacked, but it's a huge risk to take since the melee boss can stun you. You can't swap to a puppet of the Devourer when stunned, you're stuck with who got stunned until it goes away. Once you've moved the lever enough times to get the bridge back, hurry across to Broken Spear Pass.
I hit level 10 here, so you should as well. This will earn you an achievement. Also, at level 10 you can get the first skill of a character to rank 3, earning another achievement. I did it with Kalig's Groundsmash.

Follow the path to a sanctuary, replace whichever of Kalig/Zaar you aren't using with the Ironclad Zombie. Continue to a cenotaph. From that, go west and then south to find a crystal. The path to the north leads to a dungeon was can't fully explore yet, so we won't bother for now. Go back to the cenotaph and take the path going south (not the way we came). At the fork go east for a chest, then continue south a bit. You can go west here and find a bridge in the shadow realm to a door, you can knock it down with our Ironclad Zombie, then head into the Underground.Underground
Follow the path to a boss fight. Kill his goons and then cut him down. You'll get a new puppet out of it. Head through the door north of you but DON'T talk to the girl in the cage just yet. Slightly east of it is a wall you can break, do so and head north, then west at the fork. At the bridge, first head north, there's a path in the shadow realm you can take to a shadow stone. Now cross the bridge. After you cross the bridge go south to find a crystal and a hexmark. Head west and use the exit.
Follow the path to the end, and grab the intact egg in the nest. A boss will appear, cut it down. Watch out for when it flaps its wings continually, this attack does a lot of damage and hits multiple times, run away when it does it or get behind it because you can die pretty easily. Once it's dead, return to the girl. I picked the top option for the first two prompts, then "I don't want your money, girl, but I will free you." for a charity point. After the conversation, you'll be back outside. Head west to a fork, and go east. I picked up a quest here for killing the slavers, I'm not sure if killing the master finishes it (we just killed him) or if you need to kill the ones here too, so go to town. Back at the fork head west. You'll reach the Border Camp. When you try to enter it'll ask you to put Zaar back in your party, do so and head inside. This will end chapter 2.
