I haven't written a review in a long time but after playing SINNER: Sacrifice for Redemption I feel like at least listing the pros and cons that the game has in my eyes.
Pros- creative and varied bosses
- very good fluid and fast/dynamic controls
- very good and beautiful graphics
- very good difficulty, not too hard and can still be challenging.
Those who have played all Souls games solo should have no problems. There are many who criticize the difficulty which I can't understand. Sometimes I've the feeling that people think they're good at Souls Like games when they have played all Dark Souls parts with Summons... something like "I've played all Souls games" doesn't say anything in my eyes, because you can become OP there by many factors (leveling, summons...) is also the reason why people called Sekiro too hard. There are also a lot of tricks there but first and foremost you have to face the bosses the way the developers wanted. - No running paths to the bosses (upside_down Demon Souls sends his regards).
- Many Souls allusions in the game
Cons- You've to be aware that there are only boss battles (not really bad for me because boss battles are the best part of a game, aren't they?)
- You get disadvantages when you defeat a boss (you can undo the disadvantage but then the boss appears again)
I find this even more of an advantage because you've to think about which disadvantage you want to take at which time.- You can think for yourself if the price of almost 20€ for 8-10 bosses is worth it (1 special boss and the last boss is available in 2 similar variants). But if it's on sale it's worth it to have a look.
- The story I find now not so blatant but evt someone says something else. But I also do not put so much value on the story in a Souls Like Game.
For me, the gameplay counts and that's very good here.
