Welcome to the Fractured Worlds DLC walkthrough. This will be less of an actual walkthrough and more of an achievement guide since this DLC doesn't have much content. It consists of 5 areas: 1 dungeon with infinite tiers (you only have to reach 50) and 4 single tier dungeons, which switch daily, similar to the Cauldron of Chaos in Zagoravia. The story of the game is very linear, although there will be a few times where you have to wait to continue because you have to wait for the daily dungeons to refresh. The goal of the story is to find all the pieces of The Astrolabe, which you get by killing Epic Monsters located in the daily dungeons or a specific tiers in the Fracture.
Once you have completed the story, you will have unlocked:
If you did it on Hard with a character who has never died (you must have Hardcore status):
Complete the Fractured Worlds story on Hardcore Hard Mode
This DLC also increased the level cap to 60:
A new type of item was also introduced: The Talisman. You find a recipe (green, gold or purple rarity) and it tells you which items need to be combined with it to form the Talisman. They work as tiers, you must have completed the green tier of one of the 5 forms of Talismans before you can craft the gold tier. You can find recipes in the same ways you find weapons, although you are more likely to find legendary ones from secrets. After you craft your first talisman (will be green rarity) and equip it, you will unlock:
You must also craft the legendary form of each class. This takes an immense amount of grinding for items, I spent weeks looking for the last item I needed, so just be prepared if you want that 100%. Note that you must have the required items AND the recipe (found in the Other tab of the inventory) to craft. Some of these use dyes which are found randomly and by also by leveling up. If you combine Dyes, you have a random chance to increase the rarity to a higher one (Black/White are rare, Rainbow is legendary)
Class 1: Antique
Trinket (uncommon): Weapon (common rarity or higher), The Fool (Destiny Card) and Demon Power (gold rarity or higher)
Curio (rare): Trinket (previous talisman), Demon Power (legendary) The Fool (Destiny Card)
Antique (legendary): Curio (previous talisman), Blink (legendary Demon Power), Lucky Rabbit's Foot
If you really cannot find the Rabbit's Foot or you don't want to use yours, you can buy one from GebaN at the end of the Cauldron of Chaos for 50 Demon Souls.
When you've crafted the Antique, you will get:
Class 2: Relic
Charm (uncommon): Ambrosia (consumable), Sanguine Aura (common or higher Demon Power), The Sun (Destiny Card)
Boon (rare): Sanguine Aura (legendary Demon Power), White Dye (rare), Charm (previous Talisman)
Relic (legendary): Boon (previous Talisman), Legendary Dye, Justice (legendary Hammer)
You can find Justice from enemies, through transmutation, or you can buy one from GebaN at the Cauldron of Chaos.'
Class 3: Apparatus
Gizmo (uncommon): Flash Bomb (consumable), Lightning Gun (gold rarity weapon), Wild Card (Gold rarity Destiny Card)
Gadget (rare): Dark Mist (gold rarity Demon Power), The Lightning (legendary Destiny Card), Gizmo (previous Talisman)
Apparatus (legendary): Gadget (previous Talisman), Blink (legendary Demon Power), Lightning Gun (legendary weapon)
Class 4: Phoenix (this seems to be the hardest recipe to find)
Flame (uncommon): Fire Bomb (consumable), Meteor (common rarity Demon Power), Greed (gold rarity Destiny Card)
Ember (rare): Red Dye (common), Sunray (Legendary Demon Power), Flame (previous Talisman)
Pheonix (legendary): Ember (previous Talisman), Meteor (legendary Hammer), The Sun (gold rarity Destiny Card)
Class 5: Artifact
Effigy (uncommon): Aether Vial (consumable), The Vampire (Common Destiny Card), Berserk Aura (gold rarity Demon Power)
Idol (rare): Berserk Aura (legendary Demon Power), Black Dye (rare), Effigy (Previous Talisman)
Artifact (legendary): Kladenets (legendary sword), Legendary Dye, Idol (previous Demon Power)
After hundreds of hours of gameplay and thousands of successful legendary transmutations, it seems as though Kladenets is only available to be found in the Fractured Worlds DLC, as I found it within the first few successful attempts to transmute legendaries (3 gold weapons have a small chance to transmute into a random legendary). I found this to be the hardest of all 5 classes to complete.
As a side note, the Ember talisman (Brute's Ember is the best) is very overpowered, and I strongly recommend you use it for this next achievement for that reason. The mechanics behind it are that it takes the damage of your current weapon and will deal damage proportional to your weapon damage. It also shares Armor Piercing, Critical Chance and Critical Damage increase with your weapon. I've instantly killed many bosses with this item, and if you can figure out how it works and how to maximize it's potential, it can make so many aspects of this game much easier. Anyway, for this achievement, you just need to have a stockpile of legendary Demon Powers and Destiny Cards and then transmute them onto the Talisman until it is maxed. There are also power stones for this. Once it is maxed you will get:
If you have the Antique Talisman, you can also get the next achievement. All you have to do is charge it, and then use it on 3 mites (best to find them in The Den of the Broodmother) and they will turn into Dancing Skeletons.
Finally to finish up this DLC, there are some Dungeon Related Achievements:
Two of these are unlocked through completing challenges. I do not know if the Daily Challenges count or not, but if they don't, you really only have to get 2 challenges per tier in the Fracture and you will have these by the time you finish the campaign:
Complete 100 Challenges in a randomly generated dungeon
If you play for 5 different days in the four daily dungeons, you will unlock:
