Wheels of Aurelia Walkthrough

3. Endings A-H

Endings A-H

Here I'll cover the requirements for achieving endings A-H in the format stated in the General Hints and Tips page. Make sure each time you select a new playthrough that you start from Rome.

There are two achievements tied to picking up all the hitchhikers and collecting all the cars in the game. Throughout the story walkthrough, I will note how many of the 13 cars you will have unlocked and how many of the 6 hitchhikers you have picked up. This way you know which ones you have unlocked and will know which ones you are still missing. You start with four vehicles so 9 are obtained via various encounters throughout the story.

Ending A

This ending is one of the endings that has a few amount of requirements, so this is the perfect place to work on the Batticuore achievement. This requires you to finish the game within 15 minutes and is very simple to do. If you accelerate throughout the entire game, you should nab this without an issue.

Alright, so the requirements to get ending A are as follows:

Rome:

When given the choice between going straight or turning right, turn right towards Bracciano.

Bracciano Cutscene:

Nothing, simply a cutscene.

Bracciano:

When given the choice between turning left or going straight, turn left towards Piombino.

Piombino Cutscene:

Nothing, simply a cutscene. You will lose your car and have to drive a van, which is car 5 of 13 required for the Full Roster Achievement.

Piombino:

Nothing, simply drive as fast as you can and reach Viareggio.

Viareggio Cutscene:

Nothing, simply a cutscene.

Once you have completed the dialog cutscene with Olga, a description of the ending will pop up. If it involves:

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

Then you will have received ending A, unlocking:

ENDING A in Wheels of Aurelia
ENDING A17 (15)
Unlock Ending A
  • Unlocked by 1,639 tracked gamers (82% - TA Ratio = 1.10) 2,008

If this is your first time completing the game, you will also receive:

ROAD TRIP in Wheels of Aurelia
ROAD TRIP30 (30)
Complete the game for the first time
  • Unlocked by 2,008 tracked gamers (100% - TA Ratio = 1.00) 2,008

And if you managed to finish the game in under 15 minutes, you will have unlocked this as well:

BATTICUORE in Wheels of Aurelia
BATTICUORE91 (90)
Finish the game in under 15 minutes
  • Unlocked by 1,953 tracked gamers (97% - TA Ratio = 1.01) 2,008

If you did not receive Batticuore no need to worry, you have many more opportunities to achieve it.

Ending B

The requirements for ending B are as follows:

Rome:

When given the choice between going straight or turning right, go straight towards Civitavecchia.

Civitavecchia Cutscene:

Olga will tell Lella she is pregnant then head to the bathroom. Angelo, former racing star, will then show up and start talking to Lella. When Angelo says "Are you travelling alone?" make sure you answer "No, I'm travelling with a friend" so you can continue on your journey with Olga.

Civitavecchia:

There are two requirements while driving through Civitavecchia. One is make sure you drive slow and don't crash into many things! As long as you are not accelerating this is considered "driving slowly", so all you need to worry about is making sure you don't hit other cars/walls. The second thing is when given the choice between going straight or turning right, go straight towards Piombino.

Piombino Cutscene:

You'll know if you've driven carefully enough to receive this ending if Olga says "Thanks for being careful, Lella. I appreciate it." when you arrive in Piombino. Other than that, nothing else happens.

Piombino:

Again you need to make sure you drive slow and don't crash into many things. Remember not to accelerate unless absolutely necessary (to pass cars you would otherwise hit and such), otherwise you could risk not obtaining this ending.

Viareggio Cutscene:

You'll know if you've driven carefully enough to receive this ending if Olga is nice to you after she gets diagnosed at the hospital.

Once you have completed the dialog cutscene with Olga, a description of the ending will pop up. If it involves:

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

Then you will have received ending B, unlocking:

ENDING B in Wheels of Aurelia
ENDING B20 (15)
Unlock Ending B
  • Unlocked by 1,187 tracked gamers (59% - TA Ratio = 1.30) 2,008

Ending C

When choosing a vehicle for this playthrough, make sure you pick a vehicle that looks like a modern car or sports car. The requirements for ending C are as follows:

Rome:

When given the choice between going straight and turning right, turn right towards Bracciano.

Bracciano Cutscene:

Nothing, simply a cutscene.

Bracciano:

You will be in a race and the car Valerio is driving should look like a fancy sports car. The result of this race does not matter but if you win you will get another car towards the Full Roster achievement. What is important though is that when given the choice between turning left or going straight, go straight towards Siena.

Siena Cutscene:

In the cutscene, Olga will start to question whether or not she wants to continue on your journey with you. When she says "Yea I did. And I don't know about this anymore...", make sure you answer "No, Olga. We have to stick together." Also of note, if you won the race, make sure you select the dialog option "So, do we take that prick's car?" so you can unlock car 6 of 13 for the Full Roster achievement. If you lose to him you don't have this dialog option, but not to worry as it does not affect the ending.

Siena:

While driving through Siena, you will come across a bright orange car driving the same direction as you. If you bump into it a few times, it will accelerate and drive off. Make sure you keep this car on your screen until you reach Viareggio. If you lose sight of the car you won't get this ending. Conversely, if you drive past the orange car without hitting it and it speeding away from you, you will also not get this ending.

Viareggio Cutscene:

Nothing, simply a cutscene.

Once you have completed the dialog cutscene, a description of the ending will pop up. If it involves:

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

Then you will have received ending C, unlocking:

ENDING C in Wheels of Aurelia
ENDING C19 (15)
Unlock Ending C
  • Unlocked by 1,220 tracked gamers (61% - TA Ratio = 1.28) 2,008

Ending D

When choosing a vehicle for this playthrough, make sure you pick a vehicle that looks like an older car or a slower car. The requirements for ending D are as follows:

Rome:

When given the choice between going straight or turning right, turn right towards Bracciano.

Bracciano Cutscene:

Nothing, simply a cutscene.

Bracciano:

You will be in a race and the car Valerio is driving should look like an old four door car. As with ending C, it does not matter if you win or lose the race but again if you win you will get another car towards the Full Roster achievement. When given the choice between turning left or going straight, go straight towards Siena.

Siena Cutscene:

Just like in ending C, in the cutscene, Olga will start to question whether or not she wants to continue on your journey with you. When she says "Yea I did. And I don't know about this anymore...", make sure you answer "No, Olga. We have to stick together.". Again if you won the race, make sure you select the dialog option "So, do we take that prick's car" so you can unlock car 7 of 13 for the Full Roster achievement. If you lose you don't have this dialog option, but just as with ending C, it does not affect the ending.

Siena:

While driving through Siena, you will come across a bright orange car driving in the same direction as you. As opposed to ending C where you kept up with the car, when you bump into it and it drives away, let it drive off your screen. You could also just drive past it without hitting it and it will still work. To ensure you receive this ending, when it starts driving away just stop accelerating and drive slowly until you reach Viareggio.

Viareggio Cutscene:

Nothing, simply a cutscene.

Once you have completed the dialog cutscene, a description of the ending will pop up. If it involves:

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

Then you will have received ending D, unlocking:

ENDING D in Wheels of Aurelia
ENDING D18 (15)
Unlock Ending D
  • Unlocked by 1,446 tracked gamers (72% - TA Ratio = 1.17) 2,008

Ending E

The requirements for ending E are as follows:

Rome:

When given the choice between going straight or turning right, go straight towards Civitavecchia.

Civitavecchia Cutscene:

Olga will tell Lella she is pregnant then head to the bathroom. Angelo, former racing star, will then show up and start talking to Lella. When Angelo says "Are you travelling alone?", make sure you answer "Yes, I am.".

Civitavecchia:

Make sure you're driving slow at the start of the level. A bit further in you'll pull into a bank and Aneglo will rob it. Continue on through the level and when given the option to go straight or turn right, go straight to Piombino.

Piombino Cutscene:

During the cutscene, you will get in an argument with Angelo in regards to him robbing the bank and will suggest you steal a car. When he says "Well, not exactly. But I do know how to steal one.", make sure you answer "What?! No way, Angelo!".

Piombino:

When the level starts, don't accelerate. The police will catch you and drive you in their cop car to Viareggio.

Viareggio Cutscene:

During the cutscene, you will be interrogated by an officer. When he says "He told us you were driving under duress", make sure you answer "It's true. He threatened me.".

A bit further in you'll pull into a bank and Aneglo will rob it, just like for ending E. Continue on through the level and when given the option to go straight or turn right, go straight to Piombino.

Piombino Cutscene:

During the cutscene, you will get in an argument with Angelo in regards to him robbing the bank and will suggest you steal a car. When he says "Well, not exactly. But I do know how to steal one.", make sure you answer "I did just rob a bank...I guess I can steal a car!" By doing this, you unlock car 8 of 13 for the Full Roster achievement.

Piombino:

When the level starts, as opposed to ending E, drive as fast as you possibly can and avoid the police. You need to outrun them all the way to Viareggio.

Viareggio Cutscene:

Nothing, simply a cutscene.

Once you have completed the dialog cutscene, a description of the ending will pop up. If it involves:

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

Then you will have received ending F, unlocking:

ENDING F in Wheels of Aurelia

Civitavecchia:

Make sure you you are driving fast and do not rob the bank. When given the choice between going straight or turning right, turn right towards Siena.

Siena Cutscene:

You will arrive in Siena and Angelo will tell Lella he is a professional bank robber. When Angelo says "Aww, you're breaking my heart, sweetie." make sure you say "Shut up. Let's take a look around, Gorilla.". A guy named Jacky will show up and ask if you guys are in town for the race. When Jacky says "Wonderful! My rally car is good to go.", make sure you answer "Well unfortunately, ours just broke down...".

Siena:

Simply drive as fast as you can and win the race. If you win the race you will unlock car 9 of 13 for the Full Roster achievement.

Viareggio Cutscene:

Nothing, simply a cutscene.

Once you have completed the dialog cutscene, a description of the ending will pop up. If it involves:

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

Then you will have received ending G, unlocking:

ENDING G in Wheels of Aurelia
ENDING G20 (15)
Unlock Ending G
  • Unlocked by 1,161 tracked gamers (58% - TA Ratio = 1.31) 2,008

Ending H

The requirements for ending H are as follows:

Rome:

When given the choice between going straight and turning right, turn right towards Bracciano.

Bracciano Cutscene:

Nothing, simply a cutscene.

Bracciano:

You will be in a race when you start. Make sure you drive slow and lose the race. When given the choice between turning left or going straight, go straight towards Siena.

Siena Cutscene:

You will lose to Valerio and lose your car. A farmer will come along and offer you his three wheeler to take. Olga will then be unsure whether she wants to continue on your journey with you or not. When she says "Well first there was that maniac... Now this trike?", make sure you answer "You're right, Olga. We're better off splitting up.". A priest will then come along and you will drive him down the Via Aurelia in his car. This unlocks car 10 of 13 for the Full Roster achievement.

Siena:

Make sure you drive slow the entire time. When given the option to talk to the priest, make sure you select "So...What brought you on the Via Aurelia?". It may not be one of your two available dialog options to start with. No need to worry because the same thing happened to me. Just choose one of the two that are there and answer however you want. Once you ask him why he is on the Via Aurelia, the following conversation tree should be followed:

Lella: So...What brought you on the Via Aurelia?
Preist: There's someone I need to meet.
Lella: How intriguing. Is this person a "she"?
Priest: Yes, she is. She's my mother.
Lella: ...Oh. Where does she live?
Priest: She's in a nursing home, not far from here.
Lella: Do you visit her often?
Priest: Actually, I haven't visited her in ten years.
Lella: Ten years... That's quite a long time.
Priest: Let's just say we never had the best relationship.
Lella: Tell me Padre - where exactly is this nursing home?
Priest: ...
Lella: Padre... Where is your mother staying?
Priest: I'm not sure I should go.
Lella: Why, Padre?
Priest: Because she's dying. But...I hate her.
Lella: That's just one more reason to visit.
Priest: And tell her how she made my life miserable?
Lella: Well, if that is what you truly feel. But...
Priest: ...But?
Lella: But you would be with her, nonetheless.
Priest: I just don't know if I'm capable of forgiving her.
Lella: You don't have to forgive. Just be there.
Priest: That's not what a shepherd is supposed to do.
Lella: Who cares? You're still a man, Padre.
Priest: "A man." Yes, I am a man, after all.
Lella: Alright, so where is this nursing home?
Priest: I'll tell you when we're there.

Lella: Alright, Padre.

This ends the conversation you need to have with the priest. Make sure you're still driving slowly so you don't drive past the hospital (If you're driving slowly in the right lane you should automatically pull in to it). After you stop at the hospital, you can just drive straight to Viareggio.

Viareggio Cutscene:

Nothing, simply a cutscene.

Once you have completed the dialog cutscene, a description of the ending will pop up. If it involves:

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

The you have received ending H, unlocking:

ENDING H in Wheels of Aurelia
ENDING H21 (15)
Unlock Ending H
  • Unlocked by 1,002 tracked gamers (50% - TA Ratio = 1.41) 2,008

You should now have 8 of the 16 endings in the game. If you messed up along the way and received a different ending not to worry because it's no big deal as long as it's not a duplicate ending. Whenever you're ready, continue on to the next section which covers the remaining 8 endings.
