Hi, my name is Austin. I have been playing games ever since the release of the Nintendo GameCube, which in hindsight, just feels better than any console that came after it. The types of games I played on the GameCube were all licensed games (Rogue Leader, Rogue Squadron, Battlefront, Marvel Nemesis, Spider-Man, X-Men: The Official Game are some of them that I can name off the top of my head. After that, for some reason or another, I really didn't play my GameCube that often, so for some reason I decided a Game Boy Advance would be a good idea. While it is it a good system, after many hours of playing, your hands do get very tired. I would venture to say I maybe played my Game Boy 1 or 2 years before I lost it and I think the only game I had for it were some Power Rangers game and a Harry Potter game. Now, I'd say it's about 2006 if you're following a timeline. Also, you know this is a big year for gaming. Unfortunately, we did not get the Wii or the Xbox 360 until post-launch because I didn't even care about what systems I played my games on and my family was getting short on money around that time. If there is something I can say about 2006, it's that all I remember about it is having to carefully open the hinges on the DS Lite so they wouldn't break. Such a stupid design flaw. Again, still played licensed games but around 2007 I started coming out of it when they became stale. The only game that was really memorable for me on the DS Lite was The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, you know before the whole Skylanders shenanigans. Ugh. Eventually, we did buy a Wii in 2008 but we never played it that much. It was kind of more of a "Hey, sorry we don't have money" thing but I appreciate the fact that I could still play GameCube games in it. Regarding the Xbox 360, we got that in 2009 with Halo 3: ODST and Forza Motorsport 3. My favorite games for the system (so far, I haven't played everything) are Red Dead Redemption, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Mass Effect 2, Far Cry 3, Borderlands 2, The Walking Dead, Gears 3, Skate 3, Arkham City, Battlefield 3 and Splinter Cell: Conviction. I did have a PlayStation 3 in the time between 2007 and 2010, but quickly rage quit the console after there weren't enough quality games at the time. I didn't like God of War III. I've played the first 2 and it felt like a betrayal of the series. So there is my history.
