PermalinkThe 2017 CP Challenge #45 - Sales Galore
CP stands for Cherry Poppin...you're welcome CompanyofWolves.

The week was largely spent on Asassins Creed Origins, which is now nearly complete. All I need to do now is finish all the locations on the map, which also has the other achievement tied to it. It has been a lot of fun, as I pointed out last week, this was a complete surprise, as normally it is a Christmas gift.

The Black Friday sales went live a few days ago for gold members, which has meant my wallet took a bit of a hit. I picked up Human Fall Flat, which is quite enjoyable. I also grabbed Typoman, Serial Cleaner, Little Nightmares and Fable Anniversary. I am going to try and not go for anything else, despite there being a few other tempting titles, as the backlog is big enough as it is.

Finally, more progress went into Dead by Daylight, which is more on the annoying side of things than fun. The community on it is one of the worst ones to disgrace the face of gaming. The developers favour survivors to the extent that they nerf all killers to hell. As such, The Wraith has been broken, and within a week of release, Freddy got nerfed too. Meanwhile, survivors can insta blind and keep the killer blind for the whole match, on top of the usual survivor crap. I am looking forward to being done with the game, having decided that any further dlc will be avoided.

This week the plan will be to work on Assassins Creed, The Sims 4 and Human Fall Flat, along with some Dead by Daylight.

1. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India Achievements - 18/18
1. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia Achievements - 7/17
2. Color Symphony 2 Achievements - 3/16
3. Stardew Valley Achievements - 32/40

The Bonus Four
1. Dishonored 2 Achievements - 3/50
2. Assassin's Creed Rogue Achievements - 6/46

The Extra Innings
1. BioShock 2 Achievements - 0/53
2. Tekken 7 Achievements - 0/43
3. Yooka-Laylee Achievements - 10/35

To Do List: 75/100

PermalinkThe 2017 CP Challenge #44 - The Surprise Origins
CP stands for Cherry Poppin...you're welcome CompanyofWolves.

It appears that my plans got changed around somewhat, as I was given Assassins Creed: Origins early instead of at Christmas. This meant that progress on the Ezio collection stopped. Origins has been great so far, I won't go into any details past that however out of respect for a friend who usually receives it around Christmas.

Aside from that, I have done a bit of progress on Agents of Mayhem. I have one shard left to find in the city, and 5 more missions to repeat on difficulty 7. The shard has potential to be annoying, so I will leave that for last, as I will need to begin sweeping through area by area.

That has largely been it really in terms of gaming. I haven't yet settled on a naming process for The Sims 4, which will arrive tomorrow. I am looking forward to and it will be juggled between Assassins Creed and Dead by Daylight. DbD is becoming a slow burn, and you only need to look at the forums on Steam to see that people are running out of patience with the developers Survivor bias.

So it will be a week of Assassins Creed Origins, The Sims 4 and Dead by Daylight. I must really crack on with this list at somepoint, and my Gamerscore goal has severely fallen behind schedule.

1. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India Achievements - 18/18
1. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia Achievements - 7/17
2. Color Symphony 2 Achievements - 3/16
3. Stardew Valley Achievements - 32/40

1. Dishonored 2 Achievements - 3/50
2. Assassin's Creed Rogue Achievements - 6/46

PermalinkThe 2017 CP Challenge #43 - Hello Again, Ezio
CP stands for Cherry Poppin...you're welcome CompanyofWolves.

As I partially outlined last week, Mafia 3 and its DLC is now finished, alongside South Park: The Fractured but Whole.

The DLC for Mafia 3 was fun for the most part, however it ended up needing a lot of money saved up for the weed farm and for Sammy's renovations. Thankfully, the weed farm once levelled up fully is a good source of quick money.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole was missing one achievement which had not unlocked the first time around. For the second playthrough I simply ensured I had the summon fart before getting to the stage in the story where you unlock the last one via story. This leaves The Stick of Truth, which I will work on soon.

I started the Ezio Collection as well, mainly due to the fact I will be waiting until Christmas for Origins. Progress on this may slow down slightly when The Sims 4 arrives next week, but for now this will be the main game I work on, with a bit of time going towards finishing a few other games.

I intend to finish off Oh Sir: The Insult Simulator, Vertical Drop Heroes and Agents of Mayhem, alongside South Park as these ones don't have too much holding them back apart from Agents. This is the plan for the next couple of weeks.

1. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India Achievements - 18/18
1. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia Achievements - 7/17
2. Color Symphony 2 Achievements - 3/16
3. Stardew Valley Achievements - 32/40

The Bonus Four
1. Dishonored 2 Achievements - 3/50
2. Assassin's Creed Rogue Achievements - 6/46

The Extra Innings
1. BioShock 2 Achievements - 0/53
2. Tekken 7 Achievements - 0/43
3. Yooka-Laylee Achievements - 10/35

PermalinkThe 2017 CP Challenge #42 - Behind Schedule and Realistic Goals
CP stands for Cherry Poppin...you're welcome CompanyofWolves.

With two days left of October, it is clear that I won't be finishing Russia this month. This means for the first time this year I will be behind on the scheduled one title/series per month goal. I am alright with this however, given I also know that Stardew Valley and Color Symphony 2 will not see their completions. Going forward I will finish Russia then begin to focus on the bonus games and extra innings.

I have also taken a proper look at my remaining goals for the year. I still think I can make the 350 completed games, but the Gamerscore of 500,000 before the end of the year seems unlikely, as I would need to do 10,000 per month. I will be happy enough if I make it to 490,000 however, as that will still be a big increase.

The past week saw work on South Park: The Stick of Truth and The Fractured but Whole. Both games are a lot of fun, which is handy as both require another playthrough. I missed a friend and item of clothing on the first game, whereas an achievement didn't unlock on the second. Having looked into it, it seems that it was due to the order I did certain things, so I will redo the game and correct it.

I have also started the Mafia 3 dlc, with the intent to get them finished soon. Finally, the Gems of War guild has enough saved up to obtain the achievement which most of us still need. I have messaged all of them to get the spending spree to begin, so hopefully in the next few days, that should be a hard earned achievement get unlocked.

The plan this week will be Mafia 3, Assassins Creed Chronicles Russia and the South Park games.

1. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India Achievements - 18/18
1. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia Achievements - 7/17
2. Color Symphony 2 Achievements - 3/16
3. Stardew Valley Achievements - 32/40

1. BioShock 2 Achievements - 0/53
2. Tekken 7 Achievements - 0/43

PermalinkThe 2017 CP Challenge #41 - The DLC Wipeout
CP stands for Cherry Poppin...you're welcome CompanyofWolves.

Most of this week went into Fallout 4, specifically the 4 dlc packs I still needed to work on. First up was the remainder of Far Harbor, which provided a new setting and story. It worked well and required a few strategic saves. Next was the Contraptions Workshop, which is another small pack with new items to craft. Due to this, it was quite a quick completion.

The Vault-Tec Workshop ended up being finished quickly too, largely by accident as the Overseer got caught in a crossfire between myself and a Deathclaw. This pack does have a story with it but evidentially, it is not a requirement. This leads into the disappointment which is Nuka World. This add-on sees you lead Raiders in Nuka World. As the add-on continues, you end up having to go into the Commonwealth and undoing a lot of work that you put into different settlements. The other jobs also see you going to populated areas and pulling off kills or collars, usually resulting in the town chasing you. With Nuka World done, Fallout 4 is finally complete, which apart from the final DLC, was an amazing game to go through.

Outside of Fallout, I put more time into Dead by Daylight, which I am starting to get a bit burnt out on. I think it is more to do with how the community is, however it has also been played almost daily since July. Everything that remains is going to be a grind but doable, especially with the Halloween event coming up. Friday the 13th also saw some more progress, as well as some research into which maps have boats to repair.

Finally, I caved and brought South Park: The Fractured But Whole. It was the main pre-order I didn't want to cancel, so I am happy to have this game sitting on the shelf. I am currently working through the Xbox One version of The Stick of Truth, a lot of which is still fresh in my mind from the 3 playthroughs on the 360 version.

Looking at my goal progress, I would need around 10k Gamerscore each month to hit the 500k mark. Whilst I will continue to give it a go, I am not feeling confident on meeting this goal. It was my most ambitious one however, as when I created it, it meant an increase of around 90k.

This week will see more Dead by Daylight, Friday the 13th, South Park and Assassins Creed Chronicles Russia.

1. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India Achievements - 18/18
1. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia Achievements - 7/17 Increase of 2 achievements
2. Color Symphony 2 Achievements - 3/16
3. Stardew Valley Achievements - 32/40

The Bonus Four
1. Dishonored 2 Achievements - 3/50
2. Assassin's Creed Rogue Achievements - 6/46
