Hey there fellow TA'ers! wave

As many of you will have seen, I've created 'Complete Game' goals to put a bit of pressure on myself to actually get most of my backlog cleared this year. I would like to try and do them in order of my lists but obviously I'm not too fussed about finishing some games earlier than planned. I just don't want to start any new RETAIL titles until I've at least nailed my completion percentage goal as starting a fresh would set me back more than I'd like. Not too fussed about starting XBLA/Win 8 titles.

Here's the to do list:

XBOX ONE

2016 Finished games

2015 Finished games

XBOX 360

2016 Finished games

2015 Finished games

XBLA

2015 Finished games

WINDOWS

2015 Finished games

WINDOWS PHONE

2016 Finished games

ANDROID

If anyone wants to co-op/boost/play anything whenever then let me know on here or XBL.

PermalinkShaolin Sunday #28 - The Water's Filthy
Regular listeners of Raekwon will have heard him regularly mention Ice Water. Not only is The Chef the founder of his own label ICEH20 Records, a long time ago, he also had his own group, Ice Water. Consisting originally of Cigar, Polite, Stumik and P.C., who I'd never heard of and haven't heard of since to be honest, the team of four put together an album 10 years ago - "Polluted Water".

I bought this album at the time as Raekwon was presenting the squad and there were some pretty good looking features to thanks to the likes of Busta Rhymes, Method Man, Pimp C, Rick Ross, Three 6 Mafia, Remy Ma, and plenty of Raekwon too. Although no where near as creative as that of a Wu-Tang album, it was still a pretty decent listen and the album is actually still a part of my rotation in my car (out of 5 crammed CD wallets).

Lyrically, the team could deliver but they just didn't have a distinctive sound though or unique approach like that of Raekwon. The song I've picked from their only album features Raekwon and Pimp C. There's strong performances all round but I've got to give props to Pimp C with his guest slot here. Raekwon comes with his boss style, calm, mafia approach and then the rest of the squad delivers strong showings, but Pimp C just stole the show by doing something that not many rappers have the guts to do these days or back then really. That's calling out NAMES! laugh I love the beat too, right from the start, the bass line is very catchy.

PermalinkShaolin Sunday #27 - Wu-Massacre
Three of Wu-Tang's members and arguably the most popular three, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, and Raekwon, teamed up to form Wu-Massacre, a smaller Wu group within the bigger Wu group! They only released one album together in 2010 and haven't released another since.

"Wu-Massacre" is also the name of the album the trio put together and it was a pretty sweet CD! Only one fellow Wu member, Inspectah Deck, made a guest appearance on the CD but there was a few close-affiliate features as well including Meth's main man Streetlife, Ghost's Son, Sun God, and three of GFK's close friends, Sheek Louch, Solomon Childs, and Trife Da God.

The track I'm going to share with you from this CD has to be Criminology 2.5 although the version I have includes a Raekwon verse to start off where the official album version doesn't include The Chef to begin with. Criminology 2.5 is obviously a follow up to the original song from Raekwon's "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx..." album which featured Ghostface Killah. If you take a listen to the original and then hop forward to 2.5, you'll notice that Meth pays massive homage to Rae's original verse with his own spin on the classic. For me however, Pretty Toney steals the show easily with his verses although this will probably come as no surprise to some as I just love everything Ghost Deini does. His delivery, his bars, his flow, are just top notch as per usual. Then he's doing all of this over a classic beat too? This just adds the icing to a Wu-Massacre cake!
