How's it hanging my lovely Weekly Recap blog readers? wave It's been a very long time no see with the last blog post being a WHOPPING three weeks ago now! Apologies for slacking but I've just been super-busy with work, work, and more bloody work! Let's see what we've got to catch up on since the beginning of the month!

In case you hadn't already noticed, Northern Lads Like Gravy, the team made up of DaveKinetic and I, are no more. We were eliminated in Period 13 as we were 250 TA below safety and that was after using a 2000 point bonus as well! Besides Period 6, it was the only other period were neither of us managed to score over 1000GS. I think we were both just a bit burned out really. I personally started to struggle with playing "quick and easy score" games as I was all out of completions that would only take two hours or less.

My plan that week was to smash NBA Playgrounds in one day, then smash either Horse Racing 2016, Cel Damage HD,and/or Beyond Eyes. I didn't manage to get NBA done in that time and just didn't have the time or energy to bust open another easy-ish completion. DK obviously used a bonus to try and help us out but it just wasn't enough cry

In a way though, it's not a bad thing being knocked out of the GTASC. Obviously, we weren't exactly going to win anyway and we just joined for the fun of it but it takes up a lot of time to keep up with the scoring and that time could of been used to work on my gifted titles which I'm doing very poorly on.

ACS has been the worst failure of the year so far for me. I worked seven days last week, then six this week with today being my first day off after 13 days. I'm not even going to have the opportunity to play it today as I've got this blog post to do, it's my lil' bro's birthday tomorrow so I'm going to meet up with him later for a drink, and I also said that I'd meet my old best friend for a drink too later tonight. Plus I need to clean my car, buy my bro's birthday present, and go out with my family today too!

ACS is looking like the first gifted title of the year I won't even be able to make a start on and it's basically because I've been working so much! I was asked to go and help out Diamond, another part of Rotala who owns Preston Bus who I primarily work for. I wasn't interested at first but they twisted my arm and used my "helpful" reputation against me if you will. Despite shocking communication issues which I can't really go into detail on, I've actually been enjoying driving around Bolton, Leigh, Horwich, Wigan and to the Trafford Centre and back. Diamond doesn't have separate drivers for mini buses and deckers so me and the other four guys who were sent down to Diamond have been able to drive single and double deckers for a change. This is something that we would've had to wait for at least 2,3,4, maybe 5 or more years to do at Preston Bus.

Diamond's took on new routes recently but didn't have the drivers for them so that's why we were sent to help. Just like PB, these guys were a bit short on drivers anyway so the overtime opportunities have been plenty as you can imagine. So much so, that I did a 7-day week, then a 6, then a 7, then what will probably be a 6, etc. After every 13 days, you have to have a day off although I'm sure there's something in the rules where I must have two days off at some point as well. Either way, we are getting extra money for helping out so I've got to get what I can out of the situation while I'm down.

Anyway, I've got a week off soon around my missus' birthday in June so around the celebrations, I should be able to fit plenty of gaming in!

I've been playing a mix of Rayman Fiesta Run (Win 8) and Rayman Jungle Run (WP) as both titles have been easy to just pick up and play if I've had bite size chunks of time to do so. The Windows 8 title I've not been playing as much although I did recently finish Candy Land to help keep my achievement streak alive. All that remains is Nightmare Mode which is one of those types of setups where the whole set of levels needs to be conquered without dying. Apparently, there's a cheeky way round this if I'm quick enough to exit out of the game before dying. I've not give this mode a go at all yet though.

As for the Windows Phone title, the last achievement I need has been giving a lot of grief!

Rayman Jungle Run (WP)Lums Survival! The Lums Survival! achievement in Rayman Jungle Run (WP) worth 187 pointsCollect 3600 Lums in ONE run, without dying, without retrying! Simply impossible…

This particular achievement requires me to get to at least level 4-9. I've been trying on and off in between trips at work and sometimes at home but I just keep making silly mistakes! It's one of those annoying situations where I know I can do it, but actually execution just fucks me up everytime. I've still really enjoyed playing the Windows and WP Rayman games though as they are fun, straight-forward and so easy to pick up and play. I almost went as far as buying Rayman Jungle Run (Win 8) but sadly, the title has one partially discontinued achievement that I don't think will be getting fixed anytime soon.

Lastly, and still sticking with gaming outside of the console, I've been trying my best to make progress with Wordament Snap Attack (Android) as the online services for this game will be no more after May 18th! I set up a TA goal against punkyliar to see who could nail the game first. I genuinely didn't know I was so far ahead of her in points until I checked the leaderboards and discovered I was something crazy like 1,000,000+ points ahead. I'm sure I had something like 1,600,000 points where as punky had about 600,000 points. Punky has been absolutely smashing the points since however and at a much more productive rate too. Check out how my million point head-start is looking now:

Dat Boi Treezy - 2,400,527 total points, 66,952 snaps
punkyliar - 2,230,115 total points, 29,118 snaps
I've been doing my best to smash the game at work in between trips and on my breaks but it's a lot of dicking around sometimes to even play the game. The Samsung I have to play it on is a bit slow and behind the times and it constantly has connection issues, even after switching my SIM from my WP to this phone, and playing the game just absolutely murders my battery! On top of that, the phone doesn't even warn me that the battery is dying and just blacks out so I'll lose everything from the current match I would've been in. Also, I can't check my usual things on the Samsung and if I get text messages, they don't transfer over to the Windows Phone either which is annoying. Hopefully, I can polish off the achievement this week although I've played a lot of partial games and had tons of disconnection issues so I think I may have to go above and beyond the original 2,500,000 points required for the achievement.

Watching - The Blacklist - Season 4 Episode 1

I've been eating so much McDonalds (as per usual), I've got 50 spare property stickers from their Monopoly game. This means I could have five NOW TV passes to use once I eventually make it through each one. Well, so long as the stickers themselves don't have an expiry date. I'm still on my first free NOW TV pass so I've been enjoying the chance to catch back up with The Blacklist.

Playing (Non Xbox/Windows titles) - None

Still slacking majorly with my promise of starting my gifted Pokemon games.

Last YouTube video watched

I finally made it to the end of this three hour mammoth of a video last night. Friday night is a night where my missus can do what she wants (going out with her friends mainly), and Saturday is my night (where I tend to game mainly), but last night I was just so cabbaged from work, I couldn't be assed playing anything. It would have been an ideal time to play ACS but I just couldn't be bothered. I popped a quicky in Tales from the Borderlands checked the latest NBA results and then fired up this legendary episode of N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN's Drink Champs podcast to see what the Wu-Tang had been upto!

Check it out and enjoy as it starts out with U-God, Method Man, Cappadonna, and Mathematics who are later joined by Masta Killa and Raekwon:

You may remember me trying for the Hail Mary achievement in NBA Playgrounds in my last blog post. Even with this sweet attempt, yet it again, it still didn't unlock the achievement:

As you can expect with working so much, I've been slacking big time with keeping up on the news or even writing it myself. A couple of stories did catch my attention still however over the past 21 days.

The revealing of the achievement list for Minecraft (Nintendo Switch) was a weird one, especially seeing "Nintendo Switch" in the title. It was and wasn't weird at the same time however as we've seen this kind of thing before technically with the likes of different Wordament games and the other versions of Minecraft on Android, WP, Windows, iOs, etc.

The announcement of NBA Playgrounds 2 was another eye-catcher hence why I decided to write to right the story wink

I probably wouldn't have been as bothered had I not been playing the first game in the series but I wouldn't mind checking out what the second game has to offer when it comes out. Especially if the full achievement list is relatively as easy as the first game.

Every rapper and their mother, father, brother, sister, etc, has been doing a freestyle to Three 6 Mafia's absolutely timeless classic - Who Run It. The beat for this track is INSANE so it's no wonder that G Herbo's recent freestlye sparked off a chain of freestyles from other rappers. Here's who's come with a "Who Run It" freestyle so far that I've found:

- G Herbo
- Young M.A
- Lil' Wyte
- Key Glock
- 21 Savage
- Jae Millz
- Dave East (feat. Vado)
- Rico Recklezz
- Trippie Redd and Lil' Yachty
- Sauce Walka
- Slim Jesus
- 600Breezy
- Moneybagg Yo
- Dax
- Mysonne
- Cdot Honcho
- DJ Paul
- Juicy J
- OG Boo Dirty
- Jeremih
- Skippa Da Flippa
- Fat Trel
- Wiz Khalifa and Chevy Woods
- Bhad Bhabie
- Chief Keef and Ballout
- A$AP Rocky

Yes that's right, 30 rappers! G Herbo was the first to lay some lazy lyrics over the beat and then 29 rappers followed afterwards! It's insane. I've never seen so many people follow suit like this before. Normally, you may get 1 or 2, maybe even 3 rappers at a push rapping over a classic or a popular beat but never this many!

Now, I enjoy WorldStarHipHop's videos as it's my main source of keeping in the loop with what's new, but labelling everyone's freestlye after G Herbo's as a "G Herbo Remix" is just plain wrong. G's freestyle should've been labelled as a "Three 6 Mafia Remix" and then the same for everyone elses there after.

Anyway, I haven't listened to everyone's freestyle as I've not even heard of most of the above artists. I did listen to G, MA, Dave East, Trippie (which was shit), Slim (which was shit), Moneybagg, Juicy J, Wiz (which was good), Bhad Bhabie (which was interesting) and Rocky. I have to roll with part of the original cast and go with Juicy J's for this week's Song of the Week. Yes that's right, if you didn't know already, Juicy J, along with DJ Paul (as well as other artists who are not on the list), were part of the original Three 6 Mafia so to see both of these guys laying down fresh bars over THEIR instrumental was pretty cool:

They've even labelled Juicy J's freestyle as a "G Herbo Remix" when G Herbo was the one freestyling to a beat that Juicy J helped produce! facepalm

Hello TA'ers! wave Long time no see! Apologies for giving the Weekly Recap posts a miss over the past few weeks. I was pretty busy but at the same time, I was considering chucking in the towel to be honest. Obviously, I don't see any statistics for views on the blog posts so I can't find out if anyone's actually reading these posts. Thankfully, after asking on my friend feed if they were worth carrying on with, SpaceIsTheGrave and GamerScoreM4STA dropped a comment each which was all the inspiration I needed to carry on. So long as one person's reading the blog posts, then it's worth the time to me. Shout out to fellow newshound ChewieOnIce as well who often drops a post on the blogs too. It's much appreciated!

To start off, we're going to dive straight into a new top ten completion and a couple of new top ten achievement wins! toast

Minecraft (Kindle Fire) - 2nd

ACA NEOGEO METAL SLUG 2 (Win 10) - 1st

Putty Squad - 4th (Has one unobtainable)

Minecraft (Kindle Fire)So I Got That Going for MeThe So I Got That Going for Me achievement in Minecraft (Kindle Fire) worth 54 pointsLead a Caravan containing at least 5 Llamas

*** Spoiler - click to reveal ***

I got very lucky with the Minecraft top ten win here. I was just browsing through my friend feed and noticed that Itzz Sh0wt1m3 had bagged the "So I Got That Going For Me" achievement which was previously unobtainable. I quickly fired up this version of Minecraft on my eldest daughter's Kindle Fire and popped the achievement. I quickly unlocked the "Beam Me Up" achievement too which I'd left locked as it was previously buggy for me and I'd not bothered to try it again since. With these two quick unlocks, I clocked in at 2nd place overall for completing the game! toast

I've still been sticking to my "gaming system" this year so as expected, my Bean Dive has continued to suffer. It's suffered more so than previously over the past few weeks as I've made poor progress in recovering the new games I've started. Plus I've had to start games outside of my planned titles to try and score extra GS for the GTASC. Here's how it's looking since the last Weekly Recap which was on March 18th.

Start completion % = 94.89
End completion % = 93.12
Final dive % = 1.77
Current completion % = 93.00 93.08
Recovered completion % = -0.12 -0.04
Achievements needed for recovery = 228 222
Total games dived = 4
Well, to be honest, this is actually better than I though it would be but still, I've got so much work to do. Understandably though, there was no way I was going tot complete any of the Assassin's Creed titles within two weeks while still working non-stop and entertaining the kids in between and at the weekends too.

ACU is my first taste of an AC game on the Xbox One and straight away, I could see the improvements from the last generation to now. The movement, visuals, gameplay had all been improved and the most notable change was the free running with the option to specifically free run up or down now. As per usual however, it's still been a struggle making decent progress in this. I haven't worked a massive amount this week for a change and it's been the first time this year I've had three days off in one week. I've had to try and score some GS from easy titles to keep the GTASC dream alive but I don't have any 0-2 hour completions left.

Minecraft: Xbox One Edition's multiplayer achievements helped me out a bit for Period 10 of GTASC 2018 although DaveKinetic and I (Northern Lads Like Gravy) still had to chuck a bonus on for good measure. I've also been playing a mix of Rayman Fiesta Run (WP) Achievements and Rayman Fiesta Run (Win 8) to help just a little bit. The WP version was mainly for while I was at work and the W8 version for if the TV in the living room was occupied. The WP version has been conquered but I still need to complete the url=Title Update for Rayman Fiesta Run (Win 8). I'll chip away at this slowly but surely but it's a lot of time for little reward and not much help for the GTASC.

I've also started NBA Playgrounds to try and help with score. It's been OK so far but it's no where near as fun as the likes of NBA Jam. Still, it will help with score but even if I manage to complete this game this week, I'm still going to need to try and complete another couple of easy games. At the minute, I'm thinking of Horse Racing 2016 and/or Cel Damage HD and/or Beyond Eyes. I've also started Rayman Jungle Run (WP) kind of by mistake to be honest. I just assumed it would be nice a straight forward like Fiesta Run but my word is it not. One of the achievements is for collecting 3600 lums in one go, without retrying or dying. I've not actually attempted this yet but I've already been dying much more than like so the full completion looks like it's going to take some heavy hours of practice and retrying! cry

Watching - The Blacklist - Season 3 Episode 14

McDonalds have their Monopoly game on the go again and this time around, those collecting their stickers don't have to throw their spares straight in the bin! If you manage to get hold of ten spares, you can enter the codes for these into McD's website and exchange them for a NOW TV pass of your choice! Naturally, I went for the Entertainment Pass so I could continue watching where I was up to with The Blacklist.

Before I fired The Blacklist, I was making steady progress with the 13th and final season of King Of The Hill. I've really enjoyed my time watching KotH and I'm going to miss the series once I've finished with the last episode.

I don't search YouTube for people, I search for videos. Skill Up however is one of the rare number of people I've subscribed to for their thoughts and opinions on things. Lately, he uploaded a video on 2017 being the (worst) and best year for gaming. It's a good watch and listen. Check it out:

I nailed a nice half-court shot for what should've unlocked the Hail Mary achievement. Sadly, it didn't unlock because apparently the animation of my player going over the line means the shot was technically from inside the half-court which is bullshit. In the real world, the shot counts from where you took off, not from where you land! I have actually nailed shots afterwards from beyond the half-court line without landing over it but it still hasn't popped:

Kelly Packard aka KBop a doo brought sad news to our attention regarding the server shutdown of the different variations of AlphaJax (WP) and Wordament Snap Attack (WP).

Wordament Snap Attack

I personally own Wordament Snap Attack (Android) and sit at around 1,850,000 points in which I need 2,500,000 to pop the last achievements. Before digging the story back up, I originally thought the end date was May 18th but looking at the story again, the date's now March 20th! I'm sure I've been able to play Wordament since then so I'm not sure that's 100% accurate or the date may have just been regarding AlphaJax. Either way, I need to get a groove on with the game.

With the time frame in mind, I thought it would be fun to challenge punkyliar to see who could complete the game first. When I first checked the in-game leaderboards, punky had about 650,000 points where as I had around 1,600,000. Just under a month down the line, punky now has just under 1,400,000 points with just 19,2333 snaps compared to my 1,878,609 points with 54,828 snaps! redface It's pretty embarrassing to have hammered that many snaps for such little points! GameTagwastaken hit over 2,500,000 points with 54,213 snaps. Matrarch has set the best example so far with 2,587,920 points with just 31,303 snaps! That's really impressive stuff. Maybe it took more games and a longer time to get the score but I cant see those stats for my "frenemies". I did play in a few matches against punky at one point and we both nailed 36 snaps. My snaps however were worth something like 1600 points while punky smashed something like 5600 points. The only time I've been playing the game however is on long meal breaks at work.

Speaking of work, the past two weeks have been spent "mentoring" a new trainee who's now taken over my spot on the Tendered Clitheroe Roster. Before this, I had a decent hour or so on my meal break to smash Wordament about. Since having my trainee however, I've not been able to focus fully on the game so I've been neglecting it really. My trainee didn't do as well as I'd hoped so now he's going to continue on for another week but with someone else as I'm going to Atherton next week.

Unlike the Ribble Valley routes, we're going to be helping another company this time around so it will be interesting to see how this goes. Sadly however, details are super scarce. All it says on the rota for Monday to Friday (or Saturday I think) is "Atherton". No times, no address, no contacts, no nothing. Communication, details, and what not has been really unsurprisingly shit at the minute.

Easy one this week with a blast from the past when I had this on full volume and repeat when it first came out:
