Gaming Update (Sept-Nov)
Hi there TA friends It's me. Back again on this site and blogging after taking some time away because of LIFE. I have been busy downloading/uploading stuff, cleaning up things and working to pay off bills so I never have time to play games. A few months ago I brought a White Xbox One off Ebay for a little over $200 but to be honest only plug that VCR trash in like 5 times & never play a single game on it. Since then, I traded that VCR to Gamestop & got the Glorious Gear of War LE 2TB Xbox One S and have been very satisfied with it since.
With the system, I got the Gears of War 4 digital game and I also brought ReCore & The Divison. To Start or rather give my review of this game, I like Gears of War 4. Glad they bring back the same game play of the original 3 games, the new protagonist looks like it he can stand his own and carry the franchise but may not be the next Marcus Fenix of the next trilogy. However, that ending is so shocking and openings the door for questions for the next Gears game. I would give this game a 7 out of 10 just because the story was a little flat nothing to be excited over, the game play return to its original roots of the franchise, however, its very outdated and doesn't try anything new to make it better than its predecessors; almost like the Coalition was playing it safe & definitely not feeling the Rock'em Sock'em robots towards the end of game against an enemy that shows up at the end of the game. The characters outside of Marcus are so-so not much going on with them but its not a terrible thing either. I Don't believe the reviews of this game is a 9/10 when games like Gears of War 2 & 3 did a lot more. Also to put it to rest here's where I rank Gears of War 4 among the others in the franchise:
5. Gears of War: Judgement - sub-par story & MP. Plus, Baird as a protagonist, really.
4. Gears of War 4 - Decent story & return to original game play but nothing game changing.
3. Gears of War - Great intro to the franchise and a game changer in game play.
2. Gears of War 3 - Great story on Insane, massive MP, DLC plus game play mechanics.
1. Gears of War 2 - Improves on the first game, great story, intro to Horde Mode.
For my other games, ReCore I haven't play yet but plan on doing so later in November as I'm getting deeper into The Division. Tom Clancy's the Division an interesting game, similar to the borderlands games but less comedic and a little realistic. The missions are interesting but wish they were a lot more diversity in the missions instead of just storm in, kill bad guy(s), gain EXP/points and that's that. Still there hope for this game because it's a Tom Clancy game.
So let's warp this blog up. In short, I'm back to gaming not just on a Xbox console but my PS4 as well as I plan on finishing some games on both consoles before the end of the year. Here's the list of games I plan on tackle before years end:
Tom Clancy's The Division
ReCore
Red Dead Redemption (Because I'm slow and have time to play it)
Quantum Break
Duck Tales (Xbox 360)
These are just the games for the Xbox console not listing PS4 game because this is a Xbox website. So to all thanks for reading and play your games.
P.S: I will soon be changing my GT (FINALLY) because I hated this GT. I Change it for some gaming clan s**t and now that I have money It's time for a change plus I'm considering making a YouTube channel to generate some money while I look to put my degree to good use. So look out if you see a weird GT on your friends list. Peace.

Mid Year blog: Life after video games
Hello TA friends this is lreigns. How are y'all doing this fine day. Its been awhile now since my last post (Jan 2016) and a lot has happened since then. For starters, I got a job working in Target which is great for my pockets and I'm happy to be back on the workforce despite the distance to get there but the best thing to happen to me was I finally graduated college with my B.A. in Computer Systems which is a great accomplishment and my boss and other coworkers congratulated me for that.
For gaming, got my hands on a Xbox one with Quantum Break and a free copy of Alan Wake (haven't played yet) & bought my PS4 and as of this date I have 7 games for the system and I'm loving the hell out of the PS4; not so much the XB1. This is not me fanboying over Sony because I never owned a Sony console and have and still play my Xbox 360 but that exclusive title lineup for PS4 was the attraction and is what separates Sony from the rest of the competition. That pretty much wraps up the first half of the year for me but your wondering whats with the title "Life after video games?" Well I will tell you.
For the past 3-4 weeks I've only game 1 time on the PS4. I haven't even been pursuing achievements on my xbox 360 because of my schedule and my gaming setup is a mess. My job requires me to travel quite a few miles and with the back and fourth travel plus consecutive days of working leaves me drained and tried to pick up a controller. TV time all I watch now on TV is the news and watch my Anime programming on the computer. I did manage to see the Microsoft E3 press conference and honestly after showing the xbox One S which I'm happy for and can't wait to trade in my VCR XBone in for and showing off Gears 4 everything else was trash, redundant stuff they have brought up from the 2015 E3 press conference. I read the Sony E3 was great but didn't watch it.
At this point in my gaming life, console gaming has left me with nothing to desire for. I'm happy that Gears 4, Titanfall 2, Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and Watch_Dogs 2 are coming out this year which leaves me busy gaming wise but in the long haul nothing after that. Sony is doing there thing with the PS4 and likewise with PC/Steam & I don't even acknowledge Nintendo as a gaming company anymore because of there business practice. My biggest problem is with Microsoft's Xbox division. WTF is going on with those dumbasses basically porting all there exclusive to PC and yet still expect us to pay for XBL gold while PC gamers are gaming free and then afterwards introduce Project Scorpio after they just announce the Xbox One S. Before the end of the year I plan on changing my Xbox GT (not saying what it is yet) and buying a Gaming PC. Hopefully the investment will payoff I see how the experience is gaming on a PC.
Yes life sucks. At some point in your life you grow up, leave the mother's nest and learn to live on your own. It's like that saying "when life hands you lemons you must make lemonade". I got a job at the right time so I can bring in the money and learn to provide for myself, got a degree so I can pursue my career but my gaming and pretty much my social life will be taking a huge hit. However, I can take this as a stepping stone in life. Gaming will always be there for me but if I didn't have the money to go to school and this job to pay my bills and buy my XB1 & PS4 that would be a terrible thing. So that does it for this blog hopefully I will have a more upbeat blog to post as I will list the games I plan to buy and play this year. I thank you Guys and Gal Gamers for reading. Peace.
