The main advertisements for Middle-Earth: Shadow of War were, for the most part, showing off that you could create an orc army, and take on massive fortresses
I am currently hitting the 12-hour mark, yet I haven't forged any armies or fought fortresses

For the most part, I haven't experienced anything different from the original game other than a new story, which so far for me has been uninteresting and am starting to
only half listen to what's really going on
I should mention I have played three different versions of Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor and clocked in around 100+ hours so when it comes to Middle-Earth: Shadow of War
not showing me anything all-that new after 12 hours of playing, it's probably understandable why I'm over it
Didn't this one have loot box controversy when it launched?
Yeah, a lot of controversy about the loot boxes in a singleplayer game, where they are for the most part useless. They can grant you epic items instantly
, but then you just level up and commons become better than the epic items you got earlier. The only big item to buy with real money is probably xp boosters
Yeah I thought so. Seems like we are at the peak of greed in the gaming industry. Rarely do we get AAA titles with good stories anymore.
I'm hoping the new Far Cry has a decent story but after 4 I'm cautious.
It's developers having to spend far more on games, and getting back only a little bit more of a return, and attempting to find other needs. The previous way of doing so
was online passes, then season pass, and now we're heading onto lootboxes, and out of those 3 options, I'd prefer loot boxes any day
Provided they don't give you an advance, and only cosmetic options
I play a load of Overwatch at the moment, and I still really enjoy opening loot boxes. The feeling of earning one, mixed with opening one to finally get a new legendary
item is great. The game doesn't even make you feel you have to pay for them due to it all being cosmetic and only requiring a few matches to unlock another never makes
them feel out of reach
Rocket League is an example of bad loot boxes though, as even though they only provide cosmetic items, and loot boxes are earned randomly as you play
, you require a key to actually unlock them, and those keys are only earnable via real money or through seasonal events for free
but, the seasonal keys make the items untradeable, which if the item you get is unwanted, you can't simply trade it with somebody, which is a big part of the game
Developers just need to settle on what's good and bad about them, as too many at the moment feel bad / greedy
I think cosmetic boxes are fine especially if they are in game rewards. I just don't like any that give players advantages in multiplayer.
I am starting to want digital only at this point in hopes that the reduced cost of making and shipping physical copies might lead to more money spent on good writers and
better gameplay. But knowing companies like EA they will pocket the savings.
I do love the new EA Originals program, finding out that they don't take any profits from those games, including the first title "Fe".
Only as-in not over 100, which I presume is about where most people are at, and took me months of work to finally get below.
Assuming mine is like 700 or 1000. I lost count on how many games I own.

Those are some crazy numbers i have 4 games that i own and are yet to even start and around 20 that i own that i still want/need to finish.
Damn, 700 games?!?!
I started to just use the "My Gane Colection" page on here to make games I own, mark them as playing now, backlog, starring soon etc so I can always keep progress
When im either bored of a game, finished everything etc I just mark it as "Done With" that way they become hidden when going to ny game collection page to see what I want
To play next
135 according to my tags in my game collection
very nice, what games are you playing through at the moment? ^.^
Kind of between games at the moment, tried ESO and GR: Wildlands, but might try to get through some shorter indie games just to get that backlog down a bit.
Ah yeah, taking the same approach at the moment, playing through shorter games and multiplayer so I can get my backlog down, but still in multiplayer to keep up being...
competitive in multiplayer
