Xbox Updates Daily
For about a week now, Xbox One has had daily and -twice a day- updates. I understand hardware needs a reasonable amount of updating to keep it secure, working, and improved. Also, perhaps it's smart to keep everyone on the exact same level with the exact same update. However, as someone who uses Xbox One for maybe an hour a day; this is completely unacceptable.
It all started with a ~3.5gb update. If hardware needs something of this size downloaded, then something is completely wrong. There is very little reason to completely re-download an operating system. Many 0.5gb updates would follow this complete reset.
I used to have internet that offered 2mbps. These updates could actually take 10+ hours (depending on my internet provider working well that day or not). Even now, with a decent internet provider, the Microsoft servers are slow and take way too long. I'm talking fractions
of 1mbps at times.
I'm absolutely amazed that a $93 billion company cannot figure out one universal piece of hardware. It fits right in with the 'Shipping Broken Games' strategy.TL;DR: Stop updating my console unless you figured out if your initial update would work. Yes, certain people have problems with their accounts and it sucks. I promise not everyone in the world, who owns an Xbox ONE, needs your buggy updates as soon as your monkeys slap it together.
