Congrats! I just recently started playing this game again.
BUT! will life ever start the 5 ring grind...?
4 other comments
He's rich enough to finish it lol
Pretty sure the legendary rings are not tradable and its just grinding hunts for them, of which drops to make hunts is RNG and ring is RNG
U can trade people for the trophys to buy the hunt lures, but Ill probably wait a year or so for them to make the trophys/lures far easier to get once this gear is old
Ill just get all the achs except the +5 rings one.
Which is sad because its a great movie with a strong female lead that the entire movie revolves around.
14 here in the greater Seattle area are showing it.
It’s at our one and only theatre here. Gong to look into it.
Movies that go for awards over box office dont go to all theaters. Shape of water never touched AMC which is the largest theater and had limit releases.
Damn, just watched the trailer and it looks great. Never heard of it til I saw your comment.
a lot of the award movies release early in limited theaters to qualify for the award season, then open wide later.
Damn retroactive achs. I didnt want to start this DLC yet if ever.
You'll get the gold skirmish first try if you wanted to finish it
I'm 23 and I'm finding I'm playing less because of a Master's course and work, but I'm actually enjoying my gaming more because of it. It's a matter of what value it add
Its not that games dont still interest me. Fallout 4 was ok, cuphead was fun, cant wait for Ori and TWOTW, but in general its like 1-2 games a year interest me now

Vs 1-2 games a month before, and numerous others played just for score. But even non gswhore games interested me more b4 than now. Im more inclined to read my books
Or watch a movie lately than to pick up the controller. So much for those that said I'd get the itch again lol.
You came here to write a thesis, so it's still itching somewhere in the back of your mind.
Do you think you'll try at least to complete Shiness, Paranautical and the latest DLCs at Neverwinter or you don't have now the wish to complete game that you don't like?
I enjoy games I can pick up and go when I need to. Completion is now just because I know if I drop a game and come back later I will forget all my techniques and flows
Lol nah Krazie no thesis here, just wondering if achs were all that really kept me gaming since 2008. As for Paranautical - unlikely. I specifically started it to force
Myself off of 100% completionism. Neverwinter - maybe but only if I can buy all the lures I need for the legendary rings achievement FAR cheaper than the 20mil sum spent
Shiness - Maybe. Its an ok game, but my game time is limited now so "ok" might not make the cut. Since I dont care about completion unless I like a game the bar is high
Probably just need a break. What's kept me going is to vary up what I play. Can't just binge junk all the time, it'd be like eating McDonalds everyday. There's been tons
of games I played purely for achievements that I ended up really enjoying; it's broadened my gaming tastes. Even before achievements existed I was always the 100% type,
although I have played quite a few trash games that I otherwise wouldn't have. I don't see myself ever quitting this hobby. It just waxes and wanes.
I was off achievements for a few years and got the itch when I signed up for an event here on TA. I get really into it, then not so much. Even today I find myself
Just popping a quick achievement to keep my daily streak.
I did more in october for achievements then I did all of 2009. Comes and goes, sometime with years apart
I'm only playing games now I enjoy or my kids enjoy. No more achievement only games for me like this past year. I plan on cutting my game time by about 60-75% total
maybe its xbox, theres a bunch of indie games that are great you may have not picked up on xbox, or play other titles on different consoles or pc
I've been off work on disability for 1.5years now, and I swear I play less now than I did when I worked. It just seems like the desire to pick up the controller isn't
as consistent as when I was younger
I 100% agree, especially some games I just cant play like i used to, i.e. Cod/halo. But i also wanna mention how sometimes after a break or vacation i lose desire as well
I agree with limited interest for me, too, but I mostly game FOR achievements, so my time hasn't slipped.
Already did King Dice n The Devil, phantom train, robot, etc. Most of what are supposed to be the harder bosses.
Dont let the ratios scare you away folks. Im not a boss rush guy and Im still enjoying it amd finding it doable.

Saw a Reddit post a few days ago where someone 1000G'd Dark Souls 1, 2, 3 and Cuphead and it was flooded with likes and comments >>
>> and especially for Cuphead. I guess it's a tough game but just shows how casual the average gamer is. Not sure where I'm going with that... props to >>
>> you and all the Achievement Hunters for making these 'super tough' games look not so hard :)
If you only invest 5 hours into a game it might seem impossible. I pkayed the first souls and really dont get the fuss. It isnt tough as nails.
A lot of 1980s 8bit and 16bit games are FAR FAR harder than souls, cuphead, ori, Wolfenstein 2 deathless, etc.
Played the first souls game on my old tag not this one. But yeah those games arent tough. Hardest completion on my list was Naughty Bear and Mirrors Edge to be honest.
My guess is if you put the time into learning the mechanics etc you'll eventually get good enough to beat it. Very few games have a learning curve too high for people to
improve. Most gamers just don't have the patience to put the time in necessary to get good enough. Just my opinion of course.
The only boss I had any trouble with on Expert was Wally. I found the rest to be a breeze.
If you want to play a great game that is a serious challenge, play Wolfenstein 2. Gameplay is awesome and the Mein Leben achievement is one of the hardest out there.
I'm thinking about picking this game up. Do you like it?
Yep, very good game. They could have left the run and gun levels out. The game really is primarily a boss rush game not a platformer. Normally boss rush isn't my jam
But cuphead is great. I'm half way through my expert playthrough now, the last thing I need for the completion. Just haven't been putting much time into gaming.
zero grams of sugar, plenty of fat but since I'm working toward a ketogenic diet to help my stomach the fat is a good thing.
Sugar really is as addictive as drugs mentally. I felt like a heroine addict at work craving literally anything with sugar in it.

I am in the same boat, currently going through a serious migraine due to lack of caffeine / aspartame. Hopefully it will pass by tomorrow.
You're right, coke is bad :D
Aspartame is horrible for your metabolism and is linked to diabetes way more than sugar or corn syrup. Diet drinks with aspartame are worse than cane sugar soda for u.
Im not worried about caffeine, but they do have caffeine free chai tea. Add 2-3 tbsp of heavy cream and a drop or 2 of vanilla to an 8oz glass with one tea bag, super.
Im drinking the caffeinated tea for now, though I may stop even that.
IDK man. With my last bodybuilding prep i drank diet soda.
any good links to research for the aspartame is worse than cane sugar for you? I've been trying to convince someone so for awhile
also that tea sounds good. and good luck :)
Honey is probably the best way to go.
I'm T1 diabetic. My pancreas doesn't work. Don't insult people by linking sweeteners to the disease: Sugared pop nearly kills me. Diet doesn't.
The endemic issue with the internet is that anyone can say anything. Flat Earth! Bananas kill you! 9/11 conspiracy! Jacko is alive!
You have to come up with your own evidence. I have mine: countless diarised MMo/L tests, how I bring it down, how I bring it up, what I eat, ingredients...
If you gain weight, it'll be because of the fat and cream you compensate with, not because you've replaced sugar with Aspartame.
e.g. "These cookies have no added sugar! Ah fuck it, I'll eat four per day instead of two. I'm fat! It must be the sweetener!" No, it's the four cookies.
Addictions are for the weak!
Cutting sugar out completely is tough but well worth it. Lost 5 stone and feel great (wasn't just cutting sugar but the health benefits were increased by cutting sugar)
As far as Aspartame is concerned, health wise it most likely does suck, however, for the last 5 months I've been having coke zero and my weight has continued to drop and
diabetes is nowhere in sight. When I was way overweight any Aspartame would give me dizzy spells, make me feel awful etc so I used to avoid it. Doesn't affect me anymore.
I did Keto, no sugar and whilst it was awesome, I couldn't sustain it and I lost a lot of lean muscle mass. Now I simply eat my macros in a slight deficit whilst working
out and my body composition has never been better. Each to their own, as long as it is sustainable for you, it'll work. Also, make sure to have a refeed for carbs every
once in a while if you're going full Keto.
Used to be the same as you up to a few months ago, I lived of 15+ cans enery drink a day and otherwise it was fizzy drink or chocolate milk >>
>> and all I ate was junk food. I then broke up with my girlfriend and realised what a mess my life was. For both health and ethical reasons I worked towards being >>
>> vegan which sadly has a bad view on it. The more you see what happens to the animals, the less meat I started eating. I really miss chicken and bacon >>
>> and so many things have milk and butter in it but it feels like the same addiction as sugar. Hard to overcome but I feel better than ever before now.
The only bad thing is when you tell someone you're vegan they think you're crazy nutjob, so many extremist 'vegans' out there ruining the reputation.
There's much more than just eating grass. ;) Just wanted to mention it as I was having the same sugar issues. It's worth looking into. It made me feel so much better.
Last thing I'll say is you can still eat chips, crisps, chocolate, cookies, just pick the ones without animal products, still tastes awesome. Most of them have >>
>> super low sugar as well, like dark chocolate. It's a healthy, happy, ethical lifestyle that's shit on by the mainstream 'way of life'. :/
Type I diabetes is vastly different than type 2 mate. Aspartame and other artificial sweeteners can cause insulin resistance which can lead to type 2 diabetes, among
Other factors. OBVIOUSLY eating a shit ton of sugar is bad for you, and a type 1 diabetic with zero ability to produce endogenous insulin would be very badly effected
By excess sugar intake. But dont freaking compare me to flat earther level idiocy. You wanna do that, just feel free to block me.
You wanna talk about doing research, try researching ketogenic diets. In the absence of sugar and other processed carbohydrates, a high fat high protein diet does NOT
Cause weight gain. But then again you equated type 1 diabetes (no insulin production) to type 2 diabetes (insulin resistance) so I am not surprised.
You arent coming at some internet wack job. Ive been an RN for 10 years and work with countless type 2 diabetics. Ive also researched keto diets extensively and have
Talked to physicians about it, many of whom are huge supporters of it to reduce inflammation. Low fat foods compensate for flavor by adding sugar and/or other sweeteners
Both of which are FAR worse for you than fat and cholesterol.
Mateus you also made a snide comment about eating cookies. Im cutting sugar and carbs, which includes cookies by default, so it seems you are just being argumentative
As for why I have been researching keto and the negative effects of artificial sweeteners when trying to cut sugar, I am aiming to reduce inflammation in my GI tract
That is a chronic problem I jave had ever since I had radiation therapy for cancer in 2004. I am 6'1" 195lbs. Just slightly above ideal body weight.
So obviously I am not a fatty or someone trying to blame weight gain on added sugar or diabetes on any one cause (I am not diabetic, type 1 or type 2).
And having done my research, I stand by my claim that aspartame is NOT good for the human metabolism, and it IS one link in the chain to insulin resistance, type 2.
Hey! I wasn't comparing you to anything! I was suggesting people find out for themselves instead of reading stuff on the internet which could be
written by any old loon. And you never mentioned cookies, that was my badly explained character-limited example of said loons blaming
Weight gain on anything except over eating and under excercising.
I wasn't trying to make out you didn't know what you were talking about, I was pointing out people need to not take the web at face value.
And T1s should definitely NOT encourage Ketones in the blood stream. That's how untreated T1s go blind, lose limbs and die.
It's only thanks to synthetic insulin that T1 isn't a death sentence any more. At one point, the diagnosis was a time limit placed on your life.
Ketoacidosis nearly killed me, as my body is unable to turn anything into glucose, so the ketones stay in your blood stream and damage every cell.
You're addicted to heroines? Stop watching Marvel and DC movies!
My bad man tone is so hard to infer. Yeah ketones arent necessarily a good thing if not managed properly and can be very bad for type 1s.
My apologies for over reacting to your comments. The flat earther thing seemed like you were comparing me to those ignorant fools. But from what I have researched it
Definitely points to artificial sweeteners as being a link in the chain for type 2s, thats all. Im trying to avoid being on meds for the rest of my life due to my stomac
Amd there are very few iflammation reducing regimens to choose from since sugar and processed carbs are such inflammatory instigators.
Thanks for responding despite my antagonistic replies. I do get where you are coming from now.
PS - heroines are awesome. Wonder Woman is my kryptonite.
Don't apologise, I should have read back my statement to avoid confusion. Gal Gadot is perfect BTW - They should remake Weird Science with her!
An absolute goddess in every sense of the word!
Good for you! I found with me that it was the carbonation that I liked the most and started drinking sparkling water with no sugar/sweetener.
La croix!!! ^^^
Man, there is so much knowledge dropped in this conversation. My head feels heavy.
Yeah la croix is amazing. No sugar salt calories or nothing. I know there’s controversy over it but hey, better than a soda
Moderation Moderation Moderation man, water is your friend too.
pretty much I only drink La Croix, filtered water and iced tea... aside from the occasional stout
MMMMM stout. I love welsh breweries' porters and stouts. The thicker, the darker, the better. Gimme a beer I can eat with a spoon!
as long as they don't taste too much like coffee, I'm weird and don't drink coffee. Even weirder, born and raised in Seattle, life long resident, imagine the gasps I get
WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DONT DRINK COFFEE??? YOURE FROM SEATTLE? HOW? Lol, every time
Happy New Year. I will just say your guides have always been top notch so thank you.
Awesome guides. Thank you, have a great year :-) x
Happy New Year! keep up the good work
