TA Ratio Recalculation
So for the past almost 2 years I've been on TA the dlc achievements were made out to have a separate score from the original 1k Gs. Now that the site wants to go over if the community wants it to change to a different calculation I wanted to see what ratios would end up like for some games. To my surprise some games weren't effected as much as I thought they would be but at the same time some games went through the roof! I want to share with what I've found if the site turns to it's "old" way of calculating which I personally believe is right.
The BIG one Ninja Gaiden 2
After calculating every dlc achievement the "old" way the new tureachievement score for the dlc would turn out to be roughly 13,529.15 for 250 Gs. The total Tureachievement score of the game would be about 16,450 for 1,250 gamerscore. The ratio for the game would be 13.16
I can see why people don't want the sites system to change but this game deserves a higher ratio. The game is the only that high because of factors like:
1. People don't want to spend the extra money
2. People are scared of putting it on their card
3. People play the dlc for a while and decide they can't do it or don't want to put in effort for the achievement
4. Other random reasons
Other games wouldn't be over inflated like the Ninja Gaiden Series but they would increase maybe about 500 TA score or more. Those are games that are like Batman Arkham City, the Assassin's Creed series, and other random games that have so called "hard" achievements that should have higher ratios but don't because of the reasons I've listed before.
I personally think that the ratio should go back to the old way because then it would match Microsoft's system of the game not being complete unless you also beat the dlc. This change might mean that 2 overall TA ratios might not be as impressive as they once were and people that go for TA ratios might need to shot for a higher overall ratio like 3 or more.
If you guys have any additional comments/reactions that you'd like to share that would be largely apperciated. If there are any other games that would be really affected by the change in calculation please tell me so I can find out what the actual TA score would be. Thanks!
