I played this game on switch and I found it to be brutally difficult.
But supposedly blops 4 is amazing and that’s all it has...

So wise and true
This is true, but both game modes in Black Ops 4 are amazingly fun. If you know me enough you know I don't play multiplayer, but I've loved it since I bought it.
Well...without zombies, Dying Light would just be some dude doing parkour in an empty city.
I think a lot of the negativity is because it is COD. Yeah they cashed in on hype, what successful business wouldn't? If it isn't your thing, that's cool.
Doesn't matter, being successful isn't good enough. It's gotta make money hand over fist for months or even years now
I lost interest in COD a long time ago but I think they did this new one right. I wasn’t going to get it but I’m glad I did
I still don't like straight up cod multiplayer. Never will. But blackout is a blast. Haven't tried zombies yet.
Blackout is really fun
I used to love CoD, both MP and the Blops storylines, max prestige on a lot of games, but man Black Ops 4 is trash. Terrible gunplay and very mediocre graphics :(
I like the idea of Battle Royale / big ass Free For All but Blops 4 does it all wrong, the world is big but empty and looks too polished, like some unfinished map creator
I guess if you've never played CoD much or are new to the online shooters then you'll find enjoyment, but the older CoD's were so much superior :(
Zombies is awesome I love most of the changes, definitely more options this time around. And if the campaign was going to be like blops 3 I'm glad they left it out
Though this status is true in cases of slapped on modes in regards to call of duty it does feel fresh what they did. As well if it’s not a forte no need to play it anyway
@Sera Have you played pubg or fortnite? Blops looks much better and more smooth. Cant ask for too much when you are cramming 100 players into one map.
^ Yes sir I have, and Battlefield puts 64 people in a map and it looks a dozen times better than Black Ops 4 with 100 people :)
Shockingly, I'm not just talking about CoD. I'm talking about the general trend. I like CoD zombies, but it's all getting out of hand.
Think about how many games and franchises incorporate zombies even when it seems out of place.
I can think of at least a dozen games where zombies aren't the focus, like Resident Evil. Maybe it started with Half Life. Dead Space. RDR. Fallout 3. CoD. Borderlands.
Zombies will die out eventually, look at the Culling 2, thought it would be instantly popular because it had Batle Royale slapped on it... zombies don't mean success :)
Now the trend is battle royale. Everyone is going to have it because of Fortnite and PUBG. Other games have tried and failed, but it's the future.
And as has been discussed already, the single player narrative is vanishing.
What were are witnessing is the loss of the scripted game in favor of reality TV, as an analogy.
Even Halo isn't so much about a pitched space battle between the UNSC and the Covenant... the flood is actually, you guessed it, zombies.
I think dead space needs to be left out. They’re necromorphs not zombies. ;)
Lol what's a zombie besides a necromorph?
Thank you chipp, both necromorphs and zombies are reanimated corpses that where the similairites end.
And the Flood well they are not reanimated corpses, they don't need to kill their victim to turn them.
Congrats on this very difficult game *smile*
So, who wants to squad up today? Hit me up on xbox

It's 10 billion times better than pubg. Feels better. Plays better. Looks better. Works better. Vaulting is amazing. Pubg vaulting sucks. I'll be on
There all shit karate.
they're* and yes.
Too fundamentally different in mechanics to be that comparable. One is super casual and silly and fun for that reason, one is hardcore and fun for that reason
I like them both for different reasons and play them when I want different things
If you want realism play PUBG, If you want mindless arcadey fun play Blackout, Personally I prefer realistic shooters these days, They're both good in there own way
Also if your crap at PUBG play Blackout because as we all know, COD is built for casuals;)
@moat carp yes and i just love android auto correct lol.
i understand people saying pubg may be for the more hardcore, but the fact that the vaulting literally is terrible and the mechanics are so garbage like its not THAT good
a game. Fun game, yes. Good game. ehhhh
That's part of the mechanics though. Vaulting is slow as heck in PUBG because you're supposed to be punished if you caught out doing it. It's purposeful.
If you don't like it, it just means it's not up your alley, and that's totally fine. But it's 100% intentional and part of the game, haha.
Idk, I think the Culling 2 is better than blackout and pubg ;)
I've died 100 times trying to jump thru a window only to just jump. Everyone knows game isn't great. Even streamers are leaving because it isn't fun due to it being glitc
Y and adding literally no content ever. I do like it. I played it for many many may hours I'm just saying it's no 5/5 game. I wouldn't even say it's 4/5 cuz of all the
Problems. But yeah each to your own or whatever
Yeah I'm also speaking from a PC experience, so maybe it's bad enough on console that you're having those problems. I have regular jump and vault bound to different keys,
so I never have that problem, and I've played like ~800 hrs. If I had to play on console, maybe I'd feel different about the merits of the two games.
I wasn't arguing PUBG is 5/5 by the way -- I wouldn't give it that score either -- just that it's a purposefully and fundamentally different experience than CoD.
And, as Jzarp said, both PUBG and CoD pale in comparison to the masterpiece that is Culling 2 anyway
Both are garbage. The competitive scene is weak sauce these days.
If someone thinks PUBG is better than Blackout then their opinion is wrong.
PUBG > Fortnite > The Culling 2 > Blackout. I mean, if you love staring at the ground to loot on a tiny map that is easy to win, Blackout is the game for you.
I agree with BLYAST, the competitive scene is all but disappeared from modern gaming. Nowadays every father, infant, and grandmother can jump into a competitive game...
and be decent at it. Which is what sells games I guess, which is the business thing to do.
