The Windows Phone/8/8.1/10 Game situation is insane!
This bugs me out a lot.
I am expected to purchase a $6+ game w/o achievements without complaining about the lack of achievements, but it's totally okey to refuse to buy a $1 app due to lack of Live Tile. SERIOUSLY!?
Why, as a gamer, am I expected to buy a game that does not utilize the unique features of MY CHOSEN platform, but it's totally fine to refuse to buy an app that does not utilize the unique features of MY CHOSEN platform?
That hypocracy in the Windows community is really annoying, and ridiculous.
If Gameloft/EA/SquareEnix/other big studios release a game without achievements I refuse to purchase it, their lack of utilizing MY CHOSEN platform is not wanted. And by refusing to purchase it I clearly show that I'm EXPECTING them to utilize all available tools and features to build a TOP-NOTCH game for the platform.
I own 133 Xbox titles on Windows Phone alone, and a lot of them are paid. And thats only the ones I''ve taken the time to earn an achievement in. Last time I counted ALL Xbox enabled games, it was 160+.
I can bet you that I've spent $250+ on Xbox enabled games for the Windows platform, and about $25 on games without Xbox integration, cause those games were from small independet studios that does not have the ability to include Xbox integration.
The amount of $$ I've spent on single-use apps and such is WAAAY higher than I'd like to admit. My current "library" of apps in the store counts 1500+ apps. Counting apps I've purchased since 2010. It counts 300+ in the games section.
Sick of being told that you damage the platform by NOT purchasing non Xbox enabled games.
