PermalinkMore Completions - Session 4
Along with pretty much everyone else on this site, I have a lot of uncompleted games. Out of the 200 or so, I have chosen 82 that I have prioritized as "games I want to finish in this lifetime". The list of new games on my radar is Path of Exile, and I bought Batman: The Enemy Within - The Telltale Series joining NBA LIVE 18 and NBA 2K18 so I am hoping to get some completions in the second half of the year.

In real life, I am finally separated from my wife. This will be good for me mentally, but not seeing my kids as much (I have them five out of every fourteen days) will be tough. As well, until we sell our house I am moving in with my dad (before I buy a house of my own). The problem is that he has wireless and I won't be able to connect my 360 to the net, so I have decided to just play my Xbox One until I move into my own place (probably the spring 2017). So I will adjust my goals to three games per session.

Each session I will play three games for around two hours each. The first game will be the lowest completion percentage game (for an easy achievement to knock out of the way). This can be from any game, whether it is on my list or not. The other two games will be from my list, either chosen by me, or chosen with the help of random.org. With two hours I will be able to get a chunk of the game played.

What Happened Last Week

Game #1: Bulletstorm Achievements -
I actually really enjoyed my time with Bulletstorm and popped the achievement
BulletstormPointlessThe Pointless achievement in Bulletstorm worth 18 pointsExecute at least 10 Headshots before you find the first DropKit
. Eventually (probably this session) I will have to start playing the campaigns rather that popping quick achievements.

Game #2: NBA 2K16 Achievements - I am down to six games left, not scoring enough against the '96 Bulls five times. I am going to change my strategy so that I let the opponents score so that I can get the ball back quickly. In September my time will be eaten up by school returning (ha) as well as NBA 2K18 and NBA Live 18.

Game #3: Marvel Heroes Omega Achievements - I tried the Cosmic trial with Spider-Man several times and was unable to do so. I got Nova up to level 54 giving me another 2% dodge and Daredevil to Level 25, giving me 3% damage vs. non-bosses (both of which should be helpful in the Cosmic trial).

Game #4: Forza Horizon 2 Achievements - I played a few races and continued to love this game while I won the achievements
Forza Horizon 2Rain MasterThe Rain Master achievement in Forza Horizon 2 worth 11 pointsComplete your first race in the rain.
Forza Horizon 2Welcome to SisteronThe Welcome to Sisteron achievement in Forza Horizon 2 worth 27 pointsArrive at Sisteron for the first time.

Completion Percentage: 43.71% (High: 43.71%, Low: 43.65%, Last: 43.69%)
Games Completed: 0

Game #1 (low completion percentage) Batman: The Enemy Within - The Telltale Series Achievements : As mentioned above, this is the first of four games I want to buy in 2017 and I loved BATMAN – The Telltale Series Achievements and am hoping for the best here as well.

Game #2 (chosen by me) NBA 2K16 Achievements : As mentioned above, I have six games left. I want to beat the '86 Celtics and the '96 Bulls. Hopefully I will be able to do so (or even more).

Game #3 (chosen by me) Marvel Heroes Omega Achievements : I want to get Nova up to Level 60 to get the 10% XP Bonus and then I'll start with Black Panther.

Along with pretty much everyone else on this site, I have a lot of uncompleted games. Out of the 200 or so, I have chosen 82 that I have prioritized as "games I want to finish in this lifetime". The list of new games on my radar is growing with Path of Exile, and Batman: The Enemy Within - The Telltale Series joining NBA LIVE 18 and NBA 2K18 so I am hoping to get some completions in the second half of the year.

Each session I will play four games for around two hours each. The first game will be the lowest completion percentage game (for an easy achievement to knock out of the way). What Happened Last Week

Game #1: Battleborn Achievements -
I have to say that Battleborn is either really difficult single player or that I suck pretty bad (probably the latter). I tried three times for the next level, then tried some DLC, before scoring the achievement
BattlebornBehold My Death Lasers and DespairThe Behold My Death Lasers and Despair achievement in Battleborn worth 34 pointsActivate a piece of Legendary Gear.
as I was about to give up for the session.

Game #2: NBA 2K16 Achievements - I have seven games left until I am done. I beat the '96 Sonics handily but only scored 700 points but handily defeated them the second time through. I then beat the '04 Pistons and collected my last star from them. It seems that I will need to score 600 points throughout the game to beat the last teams. This session I will beat the '96 Bulls and the '72 Knicks (which I only 2 starred it the first time through).

Game #3: Marvel Heroes Omega Achievements - I played a lot of this game in this session, even unlocking the achievements
Marvel Heroes OmegaIf They Be Worthy...The If They Be Worthy... achievement in Marvel Heroes Omega worth 67 pointsComplete the Super Heroic Trial with any hero.
Marvel Heroes OmegaMark IIThe Mark II achievement in Marvel Heroes Omega worth 117 pointsApply a Modification to an Artifact.
. So now the question is what comes next in this game. Do I power away at the Cosmic Trial until I can beat it (hint use your MedKits as that is the "magic" that got me through my Super Heroic Trial), or do I continue to level characters until I get the Passives at Lvl 25 and Lvl 50 (I know that's not the right name). I will probably do both (try to get characters to level 60 and try with my Level 60 Spider-Man to beat the Cosmic Trial).

Game #4: NBA LIVE 16 Achievements - I played a few games of NBA Live 16 and even earned the achievement
NBA LIVE 16No No NoThe No No No achievement in NBA LIVE 16 worth 65 pointsBlock a Dunk
for blocking a dunk. This was an alright game IMHO but the problem is that it wasn't a stand-out great game like NBA 2K16 and so got blown out of the water. Hopefully that doesn't happen for NBA Live 18.

Completion Percentage: 43.69% (High: 43.65%, Low: 43.65%, Last: 43.65%)
Games Completed: 0

Game #1 (low completion percentage) Bulletstorm Achievements : This was either purchased for very cheap or gotten as a Games With Gold (if possible). I went through a small phase about two or three years ago when I thought that I was missing something by avoiding all shooters, so I picked up this and Halo 3 and Gear of War to see what the fuss was all about, but I still have no skill.

Game #2 (chosen by me) NBA 2K16 Achievements : As mentioned above, I have seven games left. The game against the Bulls will see '96 Jordan vs. my '89 Jordan. In reality, the '96 Jordan should be a lot slower and not be able to be so explosive but we will see if that is the case. Against the Knicks, who are a solid all around team, I am just better at every position.

Game #3 (chosen by me) Marvel Heroes Omega Achievements : Nova is up to Level 42 so hopefully I can push him to Level 50 to get Spidey the 2% dodge bonus. It is also nice on Super Heroic difficulty that purple items drop all the time.

Game #4 (chosen by random.org #23) Forza Horizon 2 Achievements : I love racing games, but I don't have the "sticktuitiveness" (that is a WWE word) to get through these games. I will play for a few hours and have some fun and hopefully pop some achievements.

What Happened Last Week

Game #1: Forza Horizon 3 Achievements -
Not much to say here. I went into the auction and bought a car and quickly won the achievement
Forza Horizon 3Auction FeverThe Auction Fever achievement in Forza Horizon 3 worth 14 pointsWin a car in the Auction House, then add it to your garage.
.

Game #2: NBA 2K16 Achievements - I have nine games left until I am done. I beat the Celtics (but only got two stars), then lost to the '71 Lakers and finally beat the '71 Lakers. I have the '96 Sonics, '96 Bulls, '87 Lakers, Eastern All Stars, Western All Stars and NBA All Stars to beat, and only have two stars vs. the '04 Pistons, '72 Knicks and the '86 Celtics. I hope to beat both the Sonics and then get three stars vs. the Pistons this session.

Game #3: Marvel Heroes Omega Achievements - I didn't pop any achievements, but I will give you a run down of what is happening. I have Spider-Man at Level 60, but am unable to beat the Super Heroic trial so I am just grinding Legendary Marks. I got a loot box with 300 Legendary Marks when I bought Spidey so the Marks will just be used to upgrade an artifact. My next guy is Nova, who is in Level 42 and my brother and I are just playing through the campaign.

Game #4: Shoot Many Robots Achievements - This was my let down for the week. I am looking for the baby carriage (or whatever it is called), so I replayed the first bonus level three times (for 2000+ robot kills towards the achievement) with no luck. I read online that if you plug a second controller in, there is a better chance to win the baby carriage, but either my other controller (which plugs in) is dead or the USB on the Xbox is dead so I was unable to try that method. Next time I will try with some drums or a Guitar Hero controller or something like that.

Completion Percentage: 43.65% (High: 43.65%, Low: 43.65%, Last: 43.65%)
Games Completed: 0

Game #1 (low completion percentage) Battleborn Achievements : This is one of the few games that I bought brand new hoping to get some nice MP action, but it died immediately so I will have to try to beat some of the early missions by myself.

Game #2 (chosen by me) NBA 2K16 Achievements : As mentioned above, I have nine games left and I should be able to do it. My game this week will be the '96 Sonics and Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp at their best. My PG is Payton as well and my PF is Anthony Davis (with the good version of Dwight Howard off the bench) so I should be okay.

Game #3 (chosen by me) Marvel Heroes Omega Achievements : My hope here is to get Nova to level 60 for two reasons. The first is that at level 50 he gives another 2% dodge to Spider-Man and the second is that he gives an XP bonus to the group each time a character gets to Level 60.

Game #4 (chosen by random.org #58) NBA LIVE 16 Achievements : As if I haven't played enough basketball games in the past two years, NBA Live 16 comes up. I will probably just play two career games as a lot of the achievements look relatively difficult to get.

Game #1 (low completion percentage) Forza Horizon 3 Achievements : This is actually on my list of 82 games, but I picked it up recently and have just scratched the surface of it. I love it so far and can't wait to play some more.

Game #2 (chosen by me) NBA 2K16 Achievements : I have two achievements left in this game and I will play this until I get one of them: completing 198 stars in MyTeam. I have nine games to go and I will play two wins each session (regardless of how many games it takes me). I have prioritized this game because there will be the inevitable server shutdown and the fact that I spent a lot of time getting a great team. The last achievement (getting a Max Contract) will be left until this game is picked on random.org.

Game #3 (chosen by me) Marvel Heroes Omega Achievements : This is on my list because it is a fun, Diablo style dungeon crawler with lots of loot. Also, it is one of the few games that my twin brother plays with me so this will be on my list until my brother gets sick of it (or until I am done...whichever comes first).

Game #4 (chosen by random.org #68) Shoot Many Robots Achievements : A nice selection (as will all of these games as I want to play them all but better games have come up inbetween). Hopefully some people still play online, or I can get a boosting session for the first in a four player match. I have no idea where I am at, as I haven't played the game in years but I loved it at the time.

PermalinkThe Eternal Struggle - Session 10
I have the same problem as almost everyone on this site: too many games, low completion percentage and low number of completions. To fix this, I am writing this blog to slowly cure these issues that I have. Each session I will choose my lowest completion percentage game and then three other goals I have for the week. They will be quick goals, but goals towards completing a game or a really challenging achievement. So my goals are increasing my completion percentage and finishing off games.

I am going to post a lot less in the upcoming weeks as I have only two goals. The first is to finish the MyTeam part in NBA 2K16 (I have 19 games left...assuming I win them all with enough points). After I play each NBA game, I will earn one achievement from my lowest completion percentage game so my completion percentage goes up a bit.

I recently bought Injustice 2 and Marvel Heroes Omega. Both of which look very cool and both of which dropped my Completion Percentage. In real life, I have a chess tournament from the 7th to the 19th of July, where I will have no Xbox so nothing will happen in there as well.

Stats
Completion Percentage - 43.38% - (High: 44.23, Low: 42.84, Last: 43.73)
Canada Music Ranking - 11th - (High: 11th, Low: 18th, Last: 11th)
TA Music Ranking - 150th - (High: 150th, Low: 246th, Last: 151st)
Games Completed in 2017 Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition Achievements , BioShock (Xbox 360) Achievements , BATMAN – The Telltale Series Achievements
