Actually lost 50 lbs lol... and to think I did all but a very little before October.

I would say that proves exactly the opposite?

Half life sucks. Sorry. I'm prepare to die by the internet now.
Valve seems content to sit on a goldmine of IPs and let them rot. Oh well, no big deal to me. Lots of other games to play.
Never really got into Half Life, so I'm not too bothered about that. But Portal 3 needs to happen, and I'd be down for another Left For Dead
Half Life is my favourite series of all time and I hope they never make a third. I wish they did back in 2007 - 2010, but too much time has passed, all the writers have
gone. It's the same as BioShock, now Ken Levine has gone I don't want any more BioShock games. Come to think of it, BioShock is my 2nd favourite series. Why my faves?
I’d love more in their series of games. On a side note, Jim French aka Bill in L4D has passed away.
My point was that Valve doesn't care about developing. Just taking a cut from distribution.
^That. Since they rake in so much through Steam they don't need to focus on developing the way a "normal" dev has to but at least when Valve does develop a game
it turns out pretty damn good. I say they just keep doing what they have been doing.
Oh god, I agree its tragic that as a whole they've wasted the talent of what was arguably the most talented developing studio of all time. Portal & L4D would still work!
Half life 3 could be the biggest cash grab ever. If all they cared about was revenue, they could put a pile of shit on a disk and it would break records.
Nah, that would hurt their reputation more than putting out nothing which, in turn, would also hurt revenues.
Absolutely yes. Valve realized that distribution is more lucrative than game creation. Especially when they corner the market and have seen no viable competition.
And then for the games they do have, well, adding hats haha. Thankfully those games are maintained well and are played loads. Doesn't make up for lack of new ones though.
Send more crowbars!
Joking, to be fair steam wasn't even a fraction of what it is now when Half Life was new. So yes, they pretty much switched from developing to being a major platform.
