PermalinkImpressions: Hellblade
Hellblade is the 2017 game from Ninja Theory. After it received mostly positive reactions for the PS4, Xbox One owners were finally able to get their hands on it nearly a year later. It follows Senua as she travels through Helheim to save the soul of the man she loves. What really got most people about this game was that Senua also suffers from psychosis, and the developers worked closely with mental health specialists to recreate this feeling for players.

PermalinkPlaying Through My Early Years: Army of Two
So I first played Army of Two fairly soon after it’s release. I was in a relationship at the time, and like a few other games, we eventually played this because of one simple thing, couch co-op. In the days of couch co-op rapidly fading the likelihood that I would pick up and play a game solely for that feature was high, some of these games worked out for me, others did not. For a time I thought that Army of Two was a hit. Now that time has passed, and while the game might have nostalgia on its side, age is another thing altogether.

PermalinkImpressions: Where the Water Tastes like Wine
Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is on the cusp of being one of my favorite indie games, actually strike that, one of my favorite games full stop. It is unique and excels in so many aspects that I feel it was on the edge of being a smash hit. Yet, there are some significant hiccups, and the reception has not been overwhelming. So what went wrong? What went right? And what is the result?
