Rayman Legends: Online challenges mode and the math involvedPermalink
Hello all awesome gamers!

Too long for a comment and too short for a blog, here is a breakdown of how long it takes to complete the challenges portion of the game and therefore pop that final achievement when immediately walk to the nearest game store and trade it in because you'll never want to touch it after that.

Grind-tastic!
For those of you who have not played it there are 4 challenges: 2 daily, 2 weekly challenges and depending on your cup ranking you can earn the following points:
Bronze: 1P
Silver: 5P
Gold: 10P
Diamond: 50P (only top 1% of all gamers who played this challenge)

Once you finish the game you will have 4150 points and be Level 10 Awesomeness and need 6000 to reach Level 11. Without doing the math anyone want to guess how long it could take you? Here's some mathematics I prepared earlier were you to get only the cups listed on every challenge:

Diamond: 2.3 weeks
Gold: 11.6 weeks
Silver: 23.1 weeks
Bronze: 115.6 weeks

/end math

So if you aren't especially skilled, you are forced to play the game everyday for the next 2 years?? I am a gamer who is incredibly determined but of limited skill, so I had been averaging Gold and Silver cups, but not once could I attain a Diamond cup. Its hard to be shown proof you are not in the top 1% of gamers. This will be made harder when people stop playing this as 1% of 100 gamers leaves only 1 person who can get the Diamond trophy, and I'm guessing it will go to the freakshow leaderboard hogs.

For non-completionists, this game is a treat and a challenge to complete even the main game. Completionists out there willing to give this a try, just be patient and back up weekly onto a USB, just in case. Wouldn't want 3 months of daily gaming to vanish now would we?

//end rant

MK Achievement Challenge: January 2014Permalink
Like all good ideas, I'm simply 'borrowing' an idea from the TA podcast crew and hosting an achievement challenge for myself to try and up the ante to get back on top of my Bean Dive. Anyone can participate, simply find an achievement not yet won from my games list here: MugenKairo's Games

Then just copy & paste it into the comments below and I'll choose one at random (after 2 days), leaving only the month of Jan 2014 to complete it. There is only 1 condition: The achievement must have a ratio of less than 3.33. Anything higher and I'll be less inclined to keep doing the challenge. laugh

Off we go!
