a summary of my gaming life :)when i was 3 years old, my parents got me and my sister a gameboy advanced for christmas. we were so excited, we couldnt wait to open the gifts up because we knew! so we opened them on christmas eve. we each got a copy of super mario world 3, and our own special game. i dont remember what my game was, but my sister got a lizzie mcguire game. i still remember being so fascinated by it. to this day i still remember watching her jump up and over the little paper airplanes that served as obstacles. good times.my first console was a playstation 2, which i got when my dad left for japan when i was 4. my parents were always so scared of violence affecting their children, so for the greater part of 7 years i only played movie based games and cartoon based games, like sitting ducks, scooby doo night of 100 frights, over the hedge, barnyard, and atv offroad fury 2. i still have warm memories of those times, and i still revisit those worlds every now and then for a nostalgia trip.my first rated teen game was mercenaries, when i turned 11. i had convinced my mom i was old enough to play it as i was in the right age range anyways, and i had been playing that game at a friends house everyday. so i got the game. i still remember taking the most powerful weapon in the game, turning on the invincibility cheat, and running through the game as fast as i can. i think my est was 5 times in one day. eventually i got bored of mercenaries though. dont get me wrong it was great, but i only had one game to play like that, and i was pretty bored of those movie games too-i had beaten them all long ago! i set all the high scores on my sisters ms. pacman machine, in games like mappy, galaga, and dig dug. i asked my mom f she could take me to "that video game store" again. she did, and with my hoarded birthday and christmas money, i bought call of duty finest hour, destroy all humans, burnout 3 takedown, and call of duty 3. now we're talking! after about 8 months of these great titles, as well as adding more games to the pile, i wanted to finally feel older. more mature. one day my mom, sister, and i were at the same store, when i spotted it. socom us navy seals 1, 2, and 3. the whole bundle. i couldnt believe my eyes. i knew what that series was, as i had a friend who always spoke about it. I wanted it. but something was in my way, that had always blocked me from great games before: rated M for mature. i wanted them really badly, so i started begging my mom for it. she kept saying no. eventually my sister got fed up of it and just told her to get them for me, in a few years ill probably go behind my moms back and buy whatever games i want anyways right? so i got it. my first rated M game. nice!after that, for christmas of 2011, i got an xbox slim. i was so excited! after nearly 8 years of playstation 2, i was finally ready to move up a generation. the first games i played on the 360 were modern warfare 2, the orange box, oblivion, and megamind (my mom haaaad to throw in another movie based game huh?) i was so excited! i played just those 4 games until my birthday, when i turned 12. i was awarded with a gold membership on xbox. i started playing games with my friends from school, making new friends online, getting addicted to team fortress 2, the whole deal. what started my obsession with gamerscore was my friends from school. when i got gold, i had around 13 000 gs. not too shabby for someone who really didnt care much about it. my 2 other friends had 16 000 and 19 000 gs. i was astounded. how can someone have that much?! it became a competition among us to see who could get the highest amount. it always stayed the same in distance though. we always played the same games, and it never moved up. eventually, the friend with 16 000 hit 26 000 and moved to steam. it became my gaming-life goal to pass that. and eventually i did, after roughly a year. i decided that since i got one down, might as well see what the kid with 19 000 had. i checked up on him i saw... 65 000 gs. what?! how is that even possible whatd he do?! i figured id never pass that, so i went back to gaming for fun. until another friend, who became a very close friend and has been for upwards of 4 years now, showed up. with 35 000 gs. i decided heyyyy i can beat that! so i set out once again to top that score. and i eventually did. he was dumbfounded. how did i beat him? i will never know. now, 5 years later, i sit at almost 200 000 gs higher than he was, and the kid with 65 000? im also 200 000 gs above him. today, im still on the xbox, buying as many games as my heart desires, and trying to squeeze as much gamerscore out of them as i possibly can.i also had quite a spree in other games as well.such asex world record holder for revives leaderboard Black ops 2 zombies mode (45 000 revives)ex world record holder for kills leaderboard Black ops 2 zombies mode (760 000 kills)first day highest round on buried Black ops 2 zombies mode (round 67)top vinyl designer in forza motorsport 3 (in 2012 or 2013 if i remember correctly) highest score gain in team fortress 2 ranked mode for 2013 and last but not least ex world record holder for highest round survived on Mob of the Dead in Black ops 2 ( round 178 offline game. the current record, last i heard, was 272. congrats to that guy!)so to conclude:i am 18 years old, and i have been gaming for 15 years. zombies veteran on black ops 2 (retired)vinyl and car designer on forza motorsport (retired)best ranked team player in team fortress 2 in 2013(retired)achievement hunter (current)although recently i find myself tired of playing games just for the score...so i've been playing games for fun, and whatever score i happen to unlock along the way, i'll take!and now..im going to go pop a few achievements. cheers to whoever reads this! <3
