Surface Tablet - Voloe
I don't normally write blogs, so listen up!
I won a
Surface Tablet last week. An older one, but a tablet nonetheless. Well, Microsoft calls them a "PC" ... and they kind of are. I like the option of going into "desktop" mode, the versatility to instantly pop in a USB cable, and the ability to link up with my PC to print, scan, listen to music, and watch videos. Upgraded it to Windows 8.1 and I am loving it. We have two iPADS and a Nexus 7 tablet already. This is definitely comparable and there are certain things about the Surface that I love. It does take a little bit of time to get used to other aspects of the tablet like closing windows and the browser. Setting up your desktop is cool, but a bit clunky and takes forever. Much quicker on WP.
I also wanted to tell everyone where I got it in case you guys want to check it out. There is this new social media company named

just starting up out of Orange County and I think the site has potential. The point of their site is to promote positivity and get people to put goals, wishes, and dreams out into the world. I believe they are partially funded by Buddhists. You basically say what you want to do and people like and comment on it. Then, hopefully that becomes a reality for you through someone helping you out or you achieving it yourself.
Anyways, they are giving out a lot of prizes to encourage people to try their site out. They have a lot of funding and want to get the ball rolling. In the last few weeks I've seen them give out baseball tickets, concert tickets, $100 gift cards, shirts, and of course...wait for it...
Currently you can win a PS4, GoPro, $100 Cash Cards, and shirts. One of my friends also won a prize, so it is 100% legit and I suggest trying to win something before the site gets too many users. Or, they run out of prize money!
All you have to do is register. You don't have to link it to anything, but there is an option to link it to Facebook, Twitter, etc. Then you have to click on the "Promotions" tab and read the instructions. Short version: you basically create a goal saying what you want to win and get people to like it and comment on it. It helps if you have a lot of friends because you'll get more likes and votes. They also judge you on your creativity. It's all in the rules.
