My 10th week toast

Thanks to everyone who has been reading my blog, which granted probably isn't many laugh

XBOX ONE

Overwatch

Overwatch: Origins Edition Achievements

Well, despite the awful connection... I managed to get the Volley achievement and finish up the Summer games event!

Now I can return to trying for:

Overwatch: Origins EditionCrateredThe Cratered achievement in Overwatch: Origins Edition worth 275 pointsHit 6 enemies with a single use of Doomfist's Meteor Strike in Quick or Competitive Play.

Slime Rancher

Slime Rancher Achievements

Did I mention I love this game? I have nearly finished Slime Rancher and just have a handful of achievements left. The one i'm currently trying for is:

Slime RancherHat TrickThe Hat Trick achievement in Slime Rancher worth 216 pointsObtain at least 3 gold plorts from a single gold slime

I'm working on opening the slime vaults, which are guaranteed to have gold slimes in but hopefully I get lucky and spot one in the wild and then it won't be necessary.

Prominence Poker

Prominence Poker Achievements

Where the hell did this come from? Well I actually like poker and wanted a game that I just didn't give a damn about the achievements on. This seemed to fit the mold perfectly.

I have no idea what the achievements are but I've earnt a few just by being awesome at poker.

Doubt this will ever be a complete but I don't care, it's purely recreational.

I realise that sounds like a weird thing to say, considering all computer games are recreational but you know what I mean...

If you have played any of my current titles and have some advice, that would be great!

Let me know what you think!

Until next week,

Hey again everybody,

Not a lot to report this week...

XBOX ONE

Overwatch

Overwatch: Origins Edition Achievements

I have been spending time playing the summer games event on Overwatch: Lúcioball

Summer Games for Overwatch: Origins Edition

Unfortunately, I am finding this completely unplayable cry

The connection just doesn't keep up with the ball fast enough for any kind of decent play, at least not from my end. I have two of the event achievements but because of the connection issues I don't think the volley achievements is possible:

Overwatch: Origins EditionVolleyThe Volley achievement in Overwatch: Origins Edition worth 54 pointsScore a goal in Lúcioball with a shot taken from at least 3 meters in the air.

I'll keep lagging around until the event finishes, maybe i'll get lucky and it'll unlock...

Slime Rancher

Slime Rancher Achievements

This was an absolute delight to discover! I am really pleased I gave this a try and even more pleased that it was free! A superb little game and very enjoyable, I'm going to be spending a lot more time back on this once Lúcioball is over.

If you have played any of my current titles and have some advice, that would be great!

Let me know what you think!

Until next week,

Hey again everybody,

I recently managed to start and finish up... nothing! It's going to happen some weeks cry

So what have I been doing?

XBOX ONE

Lords of the Fallen

Lords of the Fallen Achievements

I actually started this game back in 2015 and for some reason stopped playing it. Going back to it now, I see that it is a very good game in many respects but navigating the world can be a bit of a nightmare. It's not quite on the level of Dark Souls, but the similarities are obvious. I have finished my second playthrough now and have two more to do with the other magic classes. I'm not really feeling two more playthroughs as I still don't know the game well enough to navigate around on my own.

Overwatch

Overwatch: Origins Edition Achievements

I managed to get the Airstrike achievement for Doomfist toast

Overwatch: Origins EditionAir StrikeThe Air Strike achievement in Overwatch: Origins Edition worth 175 pointsGet a killing blow with Doomfist's full-power Seismic Slam in Quick or Competitive Play.

I was pleased. I actually managed it again that evening a couple more times but didn't record them.

That's it to be honest...

If you have played any of my current titles and have some advice, that would be great!

Let me know what you think!

PermalinkBoosting sessions / walkthroughs - Did you earn that achievement?
Well no. You didn't.

I think for most of us, the satisfaction of having a complete game often outweighs the fact that we didn't really earn all the achievements... in the traditional sense of the word at least.

For instance, let's take a recent game of mine Lords of the Fallen

The TA walkthrough is great and I won't have the complete without using it. There are too many collectibles and secrets I'm just not willing to find myself.

I think this is the case for a LOT of my games.

So how much of my gamerscore is actually 'legit'

What do you think?

Hey again everybody,

I recently managed to start and finish up Murdered: Soul Suspect

Murdered: Soul Suspect Achievements

This is a great game with a really cool (if not very predictable) plot. You're investigating your own murder from the grave but as it's set in Salem, you just know it'll have something to do with Witches... and of course, it does. I have to say though, if you look past the cool story and nice graphics, you'll realise that the gameplay is almost purely collectibles. Played legit, this game would be hours of wandering, searching and no doubt huge amounts of frustration. I used the TA walkthrough and I don't regret it at all because I am 100% sure that I got to enjoy the game more than I would have without it.

In summary, great game but use a walkthrough!

XBOX ONE

Gears of War 4

Gears of War 4 Achievements

I managed to complete inconceivable difficulty! To be honest, it wasn't that bad. I think i'm going to go back to casually working on the horde achievements for now.

Outlast

Outlast Achievements

This is still on hold. It's a huge devotion of time and effort, i'm sure I won't be able to play anything else whilst I'm working on this.

Lords of the Fallen

Lords of the Fallen Achievements

This game has completely grabbed my attention again. It's excellent and I fully intend to get the complete on this. It's a hard game but I am loving it.

Overwatch

Overwatch: Origins Edition Achievements

Nice to have this back in my rotation. This is obviously because of the new character release Doomfist

Doomfist for Overwatch: Origins Edition

Two very situational and luck based achievements, as usual:

Overwatch: Origins EditionCrateredThe Cratered achievement in Overwatch: Origins Edition worth 275 pointsHit 6 enemies with a single use of Doomfist's Meteor Strike in Quick or Competitive Play.

Overwatch: Origins EditionAir StrikeThe Air Strike achievement in Overwatch: Origins Edition worth 175 pointsGet a killing blow with Doomfist's full-power Seismic Slam in Quick or Competitive Play.

I'll try and get airstrike first because I think it's more possible if you're actively trying for them.

XBOX 360

None at the moment, I am not in the mood for going back for fallen heroes right now... perhaps I'll have a look again in the future. I was thinking of maybe finishing Red Dead Redemption but there may be multiplayer achievements I can't get.

If you have played any of my current titles and have some advice, that would be great!

Let me know what you think!
