Trying to find stuff to play for GTASC points in between getting my rocks off in Mass Effect. Only showed love for the Xbox One last week. I've been continuing my obsessive journey through Clicker Heroes. Unfortunately I've been uber swamped with end of fiscal year stuff, so letting this run on the side of my computer has been great. I feel like I'm working towards something laugh.

I played a bit of point and click stuff with Enigmatis and Nightmares from the Deep. I like these Artifix Mundi games, but I much prefer the ones that only require 1 playthrough for all of the achievements.

Started the games In Between and Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. In Between gets frustrating really early on, so I'm just following the video walkthroughs. Having to jump a lot in games doesn't usually go so well for me and this one has a lot of that. DoA 5 is a free game and I started it up to work on the crappy Gankers GTASC bonus this week. Actually it's a pretty easy bonus so thanks Gankers wink! Lots of easy stuff to pop at the beginning of the game. Much shorter than KI as well, so I might actually finish this one off. I can't have too many fighter games on the go.

Other than that I played Mass Effect when I had the time. Currently working towards my PG romance with Liam. I guess Bioware blew a lot of their budget on the Cora romance or something. Liam's romance is very PG rated compared to that one, but I like it. I'm still finding the story to be great. I'm really loving the characters in the game as well. I'm bummed because I think I missed the first Remnant puzzle in the first vault of the game so I don't think I will be able to get the achievement for completing 20 in one playthrough in this game angry. I'm sorta banking on some DLC to add another puzzle to fix this though. Another playthough of Mass Effect isn't the worst thing in the world, but I'm sorta pressed for time with GTASC this year. I also think I might be experiencing the bug where random party chatter doesn't trigger in the nomad. I seem to get conversations between Liam and Cora and Liam and Peebee, but some of the others are awfully quiet. Oh well back to saving the galaxy for me ...

That's it for now!

Permalink2017: Week 11 - My Initial Thoughts on Mass Effect: Andromeda
Scoring Period: March 13-19, 2017
Ending Gamerscore: 355,059

Sort of had an unofficial bean dive this week. Team was going for the GTASC bonus of everyone getting the same amount of achievements for the week. One of our guys was on the road for a lot of the week though, so we were sorta waiting around all week to see what kind of total he would put up. So I ended up playing too much Earthlock (Really like this game btw) and left a lot of scoring for myself to do on Saturday. Not really a lot, but I needed to score like 25 achievements or something and weekends aren't always the best for me. Anyway, I was trying to score some quick points so figured I would just start some new games to get it done so I could hang with my kids. Pretty sure I'll be getting back to all of the games I started pretty soon.

On that note, this week I started Clicker Heroes. I know it's an "idling" game but for some reason I just can't shut the darn game down. The games premise is so stupid simple too. It definitely has me addicted though. I will seriously need to get checked out if I end up playing this more than Mass Effect next week headspin.

On that Mass Effect note ... I did start the trial this past week. From what I've seen so far I really like it. Achievement list is really easy too. Aside from some minor graphical issues and a limited character creator, I have really enjoyed the beginning of the game. There's definitely not the sense of urgency from the original trilogy, but I like where the story is going right now. I'm also enjoying the new crew. There looks like there will be a lot to explore. A lot you won't have to ... but it's there if you want to. I was reading the reviews this morning and honestly I just don't agree with their gripes. I realize it's hard not to compare this new Mass Effect to the original trilogy, but come on people ... this is a new game. Everyone is going to have to get over their bromance with Garrus, because those old characters are never coming back. As much as we loved them, that's the way it is. To say in reviews that you're not as connected to this new crew is pretty unfair. You got connected to the Normandy crew over 3 games! So, needless to say, I am so looking forward to tomorrow! I'm interested to see what the Bioware Montreal studio has in store for us. It won't be the same ... it will be different, and I'm ok with that wink. Time for a new adventure.

That's it for now!

So the last few weeks we've let the flood gates open and have been able to play pretty much whatever we want. I really like this, but my backlog is so huge some days I just don't know what to play. So I sorta went all over the place this week. Actually cleaned up a few old games too which makes me happy.

This week I finished off my Life is Strange playthrough on the 360. Still a really great game. My kids were completely into watching me play it too. Had to keep pausing it because of all the questions they were asking me laugh.

I also finished off Clannad on my JP box while I was working. Had no idea what the story was, but my much younger sister is living with us right now and walked into my office while I was playing it and told me all about it. Good thing she's into anime cause I would have had no clue otherwise.

My last completion this week was The Game of Life on my phone. Finished that off while not paying attention to it and watching a movie with my husband. Win-Win!

I started some new games this week. I am really addicted to Plague Inc. Don't know why cause it's the same stupid screen for everything, but I couldn't stop playing it. I also started up Cast of the Seven Godsends for the GTASC individual bonus. Figured it was about time I earned my bench for that side of the competition. What a horrible freakin' game though. So many unobtainables too. Might not ever touch this piece of crap again.

I went back and played some Ryse: Son of Rome this week as well. I really like the graphics in this game. Main dude is pretty easy on the eyes too. I'll definitely play more of this one soon.

This week is early access for MASS EFFECT! I probably won't do too much with my 10 hours, but at least I can get my character all set up for the following week. I am so excited. Going to party it up with my husband this Friday for St. Patty's cause he won't see me for a bit once this game is released shock.

That's it for now!

Scoring Period: February 27 - March 5, 2017

Another insane week of gaming for the GTASC Achieveaholics Badge. Our team also managed to double our number of achievements from last week for a whopping 1523 achievements scored this week. Way to go team! toast

This week I played a ton of random crap all across the board. I played so much Blast 'em Bunnies I was actually dreaming of killing bunnies in my sleep.

Spent a few hours dancing in Baila Latino. I pretty much 5 starred every song first try except for 2 or 3. On those few it just seemed to not be tracking great as I was definitely doing the move right but the game was giving me poor on it. On other songs I would do a move completely wrong and it would give me a good or perfect so ... I don't know. I'll try those again and then all I have left is using a dummy to run through each song 10 times while I work. I am not dancing to each of these songs 9 more times. The music really sucks.

I started and finished TurnOn this week. Really cute platformer. Other than a couple of the sidescrolling levels and some minor glitches that game was really great. Only really played it for points and the number of achievements it has, but I did end up liking it.

Other than that I really did just play a bunch of random stuff. I managed to finally finish off Monopoly Millionaire on my phone during a long car ride. I'm almost done The Game of Life too. Just need some more wins while I'm watching TV this week or something. I'll probably get back to Dead Effect 2 this week.

That's it for now!

Wow crazy week! Actually played some really good stuff. I don't know where to start ...

I finally played and completed Quantum Break. This game was AWESOME! I really loved it. Hard was pretty easy too. Took me 2 tries to beat the boss so that made me really happy. Great game. I really need to play more stuff like this.

This week I also played and completed Draw a Stickman. Really liked that one too for some reason. Was really easy, but enjoyable.

Other than those 2 games I just played and boosted a bunch of other random games for points. Got the achieveaholics badge for team and individual in the GTASC last week smile. Ended up playing Blast Em' Bunnies, Tachyon Project and Infinity Runner. Actually didn't mind any of these games. Finished off some random stuff in Halo MCC. Also finished off the first chapter of Back to the Future (need to get back to this one and finish it soon).

Next week should be another fun crazy week. Will be a bit tougher though as I'm on the road with my old daughter for her Ringette Provincials. Guess there will be some hotel gaming going on.

That's it for now!
