Another crazy week of gaming. Pretty much the norm now. Our team nabbed 2 good badges again this week and I pulled off first on solo side as well. Played a lot of stuff last week to make that happen.

Tried out 3 new ACA games which I just can't stomach. Horrible and I suck at them. Played 2 more Artifex Mundi games. I actually like those ones.

Started up Chroma Gun. Nice quick game with the guides on the site here. Reminds me of Portal.

Had fun boosting Titanfall (360) with Balarush one afternoon. We actually found ourselves with a bunch of free time so I fit this in as well as got back to some Earthlock. I really like that game. Would like to do a bit of it each week actually.

Also did a playthrough of Oxenfree. Pretty trippy game but I really enjoyed it. Back to scoring for me laugh

That's it for now!

Permalink2017: Week 36 - Huge Gaming Week
Scoring Period: September 4 -10, 2017
Ending Gamerscore: 457,331
Gamerscore Increase: 7,015
Games Completed: 1

Well huge GTASC gaming week for my team and I. I'm used to not sleeping anymore and might apply to be a Walking Dead extra. They wouldn't need to use makeup on me right now laugh. It's not so much the gaming that has me looking like such a mess (well a little thanks to Destiny 2), but work and my girls' Ringette just started back up. I'm also head coaching my youngest daughters team this year so I have a crap ton on my plate right now. That being said, having to do all this stuff and scoring 7K GamerScore this week is pretty awesome. The achievaholics and overachiever badges are icing on the cake. It's rare lately that our whole team is around to actually score during a period, but when we are and we gel it's awesome!

I actually played some good stuff this week. Played some rotten stuff too, but I'll start with the good.

A Walk in the Dark is a nice platformer. Some of the achievements look like a real B**ch and I might not finish them. The levels go pretty quick though. Sort of reminds me of In Between, but less annoying.

Oxenfree is a really good game. And it will be GWG so I recommend picking it up if you haven't already played. Really good story, sorta trippy.

The big one I played this week was Destiny 2. OMG so much fun. Balarush and I burned through the campaign pretty quick. I gotta say this is probably the game where my lack of sleep came from. Having to score but wanting to play Destiny. It was worth it though. I love my hunter. Not super fond of the super on Void class though. In the original Destiny when you used your super on void class it gave you a second to aim your arrow after. This one doesn't and I hope they tweak that. It sort of hard aiming and using super at same time. I've wasted a bunch of void arrows. Game looks amazing though and plays great. Looking forward to getting back to this in December ... roll.

As for crappy games, Turtle's Quest or "Turd's Quest" as I renamed it takes the cake. I realize kids made this game and I'm being uber mean, but I would hope if my daughters decided to make a game and were guided by adults that they would make something way better than this. That or I would disown them warning. Game is super glitchy, looks like ass, the voice acting weirded me out and oh yeah ... it's horrible. I know I'm complaining here about free Gamerscore and feel free to smack me, but I've played a lot of games with free Gamerscore that were no where near as atrocious as this. That being said, if they add more achievements to this crappy game in their new chapters I'll still play it. Otherwise see ya later Turd Quest.

That's it for now!

Permalink2017: Week 35 - Early Milestone
Scoring Period: August 28 - September 3, 2017
Ending Gamerscore: 450,316
Gamerscore Increase: 5,210
Games Completed: 3

Well earlier this year I set a goal to hit 450,000 GamerScore by the end of the year. I thought for some reason I was pushing it by aiming for that. I've hit my goal about 3 months early though. I feel like I'll probably be hitting half a mil by the end of the year instead thanks to GTASC laugh.

I was bummed that I had to use 2 individual bonuses this week for solo side. We were going for the team bonus to have everyone the same Gamerscore though so my hands were tied. Glad I only had to use 2 to stay alive and really happy we got the bonus. I'm thinking I might have gotten low ratio on solo side too so that will help counteract some bonus usage.

Played through a couple of games last week. Monochroma and Among the Sleep were pretty meh. Super easy though.

I really liked Firewatch. Great walkthrough on the site here. Liked how the story was presented.

Late Shift was my favorite from this week. Acting in this was great. I would love to have more games that I can play that are like this. I was able to get a ton of work done while I streamed this game/movie to my computer. Loved the story too. I'm gonna have to YouTube some endings though as I quit out so that I wouldn't have to replay it 7 or 8 times for the different endings. Super game!

Hopefully next week I can find some more interesting stuff to play. I'm sure they'll be more ACA BS mixed in there, but fingers crossed, something good. Also need to readjust my year end goal to 500k GS wink.

That's it for now!

First off congrats to Team UHH in this week's GTASC. I'm not surprised you guys went for first and achievaholics with AxDEMONxWITHIN scoring like a freaking machine. Would have been really stupid to pass up that opportunity. Seriously kudos to you. I'm sorta glad I had drank too much with the husband Saturday night to play. I thiml it would have been a shame to waste such a nice weekend day playing more Artifex Mundi BS going for the block. I've loved are weekends at the cottage, but I'm really looking forward to kids going back to school and weekends being at home so I can be in it Sunday mornings. Drinking and swimming all day don't make for nice Sunday morning cutoffs laugh.

Well played some crap this week, but I played some really good stuff too smile. I actually thought I played so much Artifex Mundi this week that I bruised my hand, but now I think it was actually me being an idiot in Project Cars. Car games are not my thing, and for some reason I started this stupid game. So I figure I better get started on the community racing achievement. Only thing is I didn't know you only had to do 1 clean lap for each community event. So I kept driving my damn car for I don't know how many laps. I was scared if I quit then would find out I just needed to drive 1 or 2 more laps. Didn't know I just had to do I, get a lap time and then quit cry. And like I said I hate car games so I clenched my damn controller for like a gillion laps and bruised my damn hand. I mean it, half my palm is black and blue. Who said gaming wasn't a sport?

So Project Cars = some of my crap. As for good stuff, I absolutely loved 3 games I played this week. The Bunker was awesome. Didn't know this game played like a movie, but wow, acting was great and story was great too. Also played the Assembly this week. I think the Bunker was better, but Assembly had a very interesting story as well. My favorite game this week though was King's Quest. I just have so much nostalgia surrounding this game. I played the crap out of King's Quest when I was younger. Actually King's Quest and Space Quest were two of my favorite series when I was younger. This King's Quest reboot had all the spirit of the originals in the series. I really loved it. The story was funny and sweet. I can't wait to replay it on the 360 ... maybe twice laugh.

This coming week is my last week with the kids at home while I try to work and game at the same time. Yay for school starting!

That's it for now!

Permalink2017: Week 33 - Croakin' Out
Scoring Period: August 14-20, 2017
Ending Gamerscore: 440,510
Gamerscore Increase: 2,455
Games Completed: 1

Well I finally made the conscious decision to croak out of Leap Frog. I'm pretty sure I could have stayed in it for a while longer, but some of the achievements I was wanting to use were just getting a bit too time consuming. I'd rather score for GTASC then focus my obsession on Leap Frog. I ended up croaking out in spot 275. I'm glad too because as much as I like the community events I would definitely rather focus my time and energy on one thing right now.

Last week I spent most of my time on stupid Deformers with Danno. We wanted to knock out our prestiege levels before the reset. That was some seriously boring boosting. Helped us get our double the ratio bonus though so there's that :P. Still haven't gotten to level 20 though. Guess this game wants me to spend a few more hours on it. YUCK!

This week I need to take some stock of what I have and start working through some stuff. I keep forgetting what I own that I haven't started. That can't be good.

I tried watching Gamescom on Mixer yesterday, but just got a blank screen for most of it. Right after it ended I preorder my Project Scopio Edition Xbox One X. I also preorder a Minecraft Creeper controller from the Microsoft store for my youngest daughter. Gonna set it aside for either her birthday or Christmas smile. I also finally took the plunge and ordered my Design Lab controller. I can't wait for it to come in. It was also on sale for a little bit off, maybe because of Gamescom? I can't say anything in the conference really wowed me. I am sort of intrigued by the Jurassic Park sim game. Assassin's Creed looks really good but I really need to finish off my AC backlog first. Bioware pissed me off by announcing separately no single player DLC for Mass Effect: Andromeda. I hate that no games have me really psyched up right now. I'm hoping EA shows some Anthem off in their press conference.

That's it for now!
