Permalink2018: Week 12 - 600,000 GamerScore!
Scoring Period: March 19-25, 2018
Ending Gamerscore: 600,758
Gamerscore Increase: 2,505
Games Completed: 2

Yay finally hit another good GamerScore milestone with 600,000! dance I've definitely slowed down a bit since GTASC ended last year. Still playing some fluff in between the good stuff to pad the GamerScore, but definitely playing more good stuff.

This week I managed to finish off 2 games. Complete Minecraft with using my PC worlds. Also started and finished the Station. Super quick game, but I liked it for what it was. Another quick game that I played was Asemblance. Still need to retry for the last achievement in that one.

Got back to playing Baila Latino for the GTASC team bonus this week. Not really concerned about staying in the competition, but I like how it makes me remember these games sitting in my backlog. This games music sucks and the dances do to, so I let this play while I worked at my desk. Raising my arm here and there to start a new dance laugh.

Managed to finish off the base game for Far Cry 4 by completing the MP finally. Just need to do the DLC on that one now. Also got back into trying to finish Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Lastly, I'm getting really tired of hearing about server closures. I shouldn't care, but I just can't keep up and I would have like to have been able to take my sweet time to finish some of these off. Not sure if I'll finish the ones on my list now, but if I get a few points here and there in each it's better than nothing. I will never even be close to a high completion percentage ... So now on my list are Wordament: Snap Attack, Gigantic and Happy Wars (360). GAH!

On a better last note, I'm off on a family vacation to California on Friday clap.

That's it for now!

Permalink2018: Week 11 - Awesome Week!
Scoring Period: March 12-18, 2018
Ending Gamerscore: 598,363
Gamerscore Increase: 2,030
Games Completed: 1

Had a really awesome week, gaming and real life wise. Managed to finish off the 10th Birthday Challenge before Wednesday, so nabbed myself the free month of pro. Was able to finish it off with only starting one new game too. Definitely need to go back to a couple of these. I was really into Dust: An Elysian Tail. Still looks quite pretty on the 360 as well.

Managed to finish off NORTH. Really weird game. Glad it was super short. I don't get it, but don't really want to either.

Other than that I spent most of my week out of town at my oldest daughter Provincial Ringette Championships. They made an epic comeback during the tournament and ended up winning the silver medal in their division clap. Was a super great weekend! I entertained myself in between some games with some old WP stuff. Glad to have those things on hand when travelling. Sitting around in a hotel room in between my daughters games can get really boring.

Anyway, it was a super great week for our family. So proud of my daughter. She played so awesome all weekend. My younger daughter now has her year end tournament this weekend. At least this ones at home smile.

That's it for now!

Permalink2018: Week 10 - Gems of War Done!
Scoring Period: March 5-11, 2018
Ending Gamerscore: 596,333
Gamerscore Increase: 1,270
Games Completed: 1

Well I finally finished off Gems of War!!! YAHOO!! dance So happy to have this game done. I've spent way too many hours on this game since January. Feels really good to have that completion. I was almost tempted to keep building up my character a bit in this game, but I think I'll just go cold turkey on it until they add more achievements in it. I'm really ok if they don't though.

Did some grinding in the Final Fantasy XV multiplayer. The new update made get kWh easier, but now you need to grind levels to finish this off. So guess it's a grind either way. I prefer the level grind though. They added new stuff to the map, so now I feel as if I'm working towards something instead of just grinding and hoarding kWh for no reason.

Was pretty busy with work this week, so I started turboing Killer Instinct 200 match wins. Guess I'll continue this here and there since I'm still really busy.

Thanks to Frawstfever this week for lending me Memories Off: Yubikiri no Kioku (HK/TW) to play! Never thought I would get that one on my tag. Way too expensive and super hard to find. You rock!

This Wednesday I'm off to my oldest daughter's ringette provincial championships! Hoping they do really well. I'll be playing some stuff on my tablet and phone when we chill in between games at the hotel.

That's it for now!

Permalink2018: Week 9 - Some Clean Up Progress!
Scoring Period: February 26 - March 4, 2018
Ending Gamerscore: 595,063
Gamerscore Increase: 3,300
Games Completed: 6

Well it definitely feels really good to continue with the game clean up. Was able to knock off a few more easy games that were started and never finished off in the backlog.

The additional levels added in the Candleman DLC were really nice and easy. Way easier than the last few levels of the main game. Really liked that DLC and it was free too wink.

Finished off a couple of Artifex Mundi games along with the really weird game Rememoried. Was also able to get the last shell in Abzu for Windows 10 to clean that one up.

Read the great article that TA is publishing every month now on quick completions. Found out that Age of Empires had console commands and completely used them to finish that game off in a couple of hours. Seriously would not have wanted to put 200+ hours into that game to finish it off. Game does not look very definitive. Definitely thankful for the console commands. dance

Other than that I spent way too many hours on Gems of War. Fooled around a bit in Monster Hunter. Still confused with that game. Lots going on. I think once I get a bit farther into the game and understand the crafting and what not I will start having more fun with that one.

Played through some World of Van Helsing to earn some achievements in a Game Pass game. Maybe I'll win a 24kt Xbox. Probably not though ... I never win stuff.

Almost finished off Castle Invasion. Have to do level clean up in that now.

I also started up Fable Fortune. I think this will be a great game for me to play while working. Boosting it with a dummy account on my tablet and my account on the xbox. Load times on this are atrocious. Won't matter if I'm not paying much attention to it though. Need to find a few more games like this I can have on the go while working.

That's it for now!

Permalink2018: Week 8 - Glitches Galore
Scoring Period: February 19-25, 2018
Ending Gamerscore: 591,763
Gamerscore Increase: 2,505
Games Completed: 4

Actually pulled off a pretty good week of gaming despite a few setbacks. I was hoping to give the Speed Skating in the Winter Olympics a go. Unfortunately I got hit with the GamerScore bug this week and then certain achievements weren't showing up on the site for me because of that. Sort of made me bail on my attempt.

Other than that I did manage to finish off a few games this week and make some good progress in others.

Homefront is finally finished! Horrible glitches in this game led to me having to do a partial play through to complete a few of the achievements and actually delete my save and restart it completely to regrind money to buy the weapons and attachments for another achievement. Super annoying especially since Deep Silver published DLC for this game knowing that there were bugs galore in the main game. I mean this game is atrocious in my opinion. Here's a picture that pretty much sums up my opinion of the game:

Still working at finishing up some Torment Maps in Lies of Astaroth. I have the worst luck here too. When doing the towers in this game you are supposed to get a 5 star card when your luck hits 2000/2000. Yep well not me. I actually had to hit 2025/2000 before I got my darn card! angry

Other than that I worked on some game cleanup this week. Still playing way too much Gems of War. I was having a ton of wrist pain last week from playing it so much. I'm getting near the end of the achievements on that one finally. Maybe another week or two. I'll still keep playing casually afterwards in case they add more achievements to it.

I did manage to pull off one thing this week that made me super happy. My main computer at home isn't capable of using the windows mixed reality headset I purchased. The motherboard is too old. On top of that, the Surface tablet I own is told that it is incompatible as well when I use the windows mixed reality portal. Anyway I edited the registry on my table to bypass the system check. Was able to play Floor Plan on it no problem. Made me super happy! Find it really stupid that the system tells me I can't use this, but I can play the game no problem ... I'm sure some of the games wouldn't work, but these nice easy ones sure do dance!

Back to some more game cleanup for me!
