PermalinkUHH Just for Fun Round #11
Well, due to illness I haven't been online for a few days, making this post a bit late. But now I'm feeling better, so here it goes! This week's opponent is Nomstuff. And now, the good stuff!

Hitman: Absolution
Kingslayer (Assassinate the King of Chinatown)
Apparently it's a story achievement, but I have no idea how far into the story it actually is. If it's early though, this would definitely be doable.

Borderlands 2
New In Town (Complete the mission "Plan B")
Sounds pretty straightforward, although again, I have no idea how far into the game I'll have to go to get it. If it's close to where I'm at though, I may go for it.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Overkiller (Assassinate 50 guards with the hidden blade)
I've been playing this one for a bit already, so I may just keep it in the system to knock this off. Shouldn't take too long to do.
*EDIT* Yeah, it popped naturally for me while I was just playing it normally. Didn't even really have to try for it.

Mafia II
The Enforcer (Kill 50 enemies)
Should be straightforward enough, assuming enemies are at least somewhat prevalent in the game. I'll probably go for it fairly early on.

Assassin's Creed III
Heroes are Born (Complete Sequence 4)
Pretty straightforward, but it probably won't happen because I want to keep the continuity of the series intact. So unless I finish Revelations fairly soon, I probably won't be firing it up.

Grand Theft Auto IV
Warm Coffee (Successfully date a girl to be invited into her house)
Sounds pretty easy, but I'm not sure if I can do it where I'm at in the story. We'll see what happens I guess.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Completed Recreational Center (Complete Recreational Center in Story Mode at any difficulty)
Story related for completing act 3. I have only done a bean dive achievement in the game, so yeah, not happening.

The Butcher (Kill 50 characters in 5 seconds)
Looks fairly simple, I may give this a go at some point. We'll see what happens though.

Zakarov's Penthouse Completed (Complete the Zakarov's Penthouse level on any Difficulty setting)
This is the story achievement for Chapter 4, and since I just bean dove the game, that means it's a fairly long way off from where I'm at. Sadly, that means it's not very likely.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Operational Asset (Earn all 3 stars in at least 5 different Special Op missions)
I have no idea how many I've already done...this could be a cakewalk or it could take a bit of effort to pull it off. I may fire it up to find out, but no guarantees here.

All That Glitters (Stole 5 collectibles)
I should have 3 or 4 of them already, so this really shouldn't be too difficult to pull off. I'll probably gun for it because, well, why not?

Lost Planet 2
Complete Episode 3 (Complete all the chapters in Episode 3)
Another bean dive game. I have zero likelihood of actually unlocking this given the time constraints placed on me by my job.

Saints Row IV
Maximum Stopping Power (Upgrade one weapon to the max)
Sounds doable if I can get enough money to do it. I may go for it, or I may pass since it might be a bit of work to unlock it.

Styx: Master of Shadows
Sudden Silence... (Kill 50 enemies without making noise)
This actually sounds pretty straightforward. I may have to fire it up and try to farm some kills!

UFC Undisputed 2009
That was easy! (Win in under 20 seconds of the 1st round against a COM UFC Fighter in Exhibition or Career Mode)
Sounds like it's one of those achievements that is either a massive pain in the arse or one that will pop easily with minimal effort. It's extremely luck based. I may go for it, but I can't guarantee actually popping it.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
BBQ Beef (In Nutty Acres, they like their steak well done)
Pretty simple achievement, I'll probably get this fairly easily. Definitely a doer.
*EDIT* Yeah, popped it in about 5 minutes. Played a wee bit longer and got another achievement after as well.

Space Channel 5 Part 2
Passionate Reporter (Rescue Jaguar)
Yeah, I'm terrible at this game. I can't even get past level 2, nevermind level 5 where this achievement pops. Not bloody likely unfortunately.

Dark Souls
Defeat Gravelord Nito (Defeat the Soul Lord Gravelord Nito)
Yeah, not happening either unfortunately. At least not in such a short time frame.

Super Meat Boy
Iron Boy! (Complete a full chapter without dying)
This is definitely a doable achievement, as long as I can get some practice time in first. It's not a gimme, but it's not impossible either.

Volgarr the Viking
Wealthier than the King of Sweden (Collect a golden walrus statue)
Yeah, I doubt I'd be able to get as far into the level as I need to without getting hit to get this achievement, but hey, who knows? Might try for it, but I doubt I'd succeed.

Well, it's a nice list, a few tough ones, a few easy ones, and a bunch of fun games. That said, I've already lost two days due to not leaving my bed, and with work diminishing my play time, I think I'll set my goal at 4. I know it seems low, but given the lack of gaming time I've had, I'm gonna take it easy on myself :P Best of luck to everyone remaining in the main competition, and everyone participating in UHH 3 on the JFF side!
*EDIT* Well, only got two. But in all fairness, I barely played anything this week, so I'm happy to have got at least the two I did land.

PermalinkUHH Just for Fun Round #10
Yeah, it's that time again! After my disappointing round last week, hopefully I'll be able to rebound against Ho1d The Phone, this week's opponent. And hopefully he doesn't end up as a pudding like the last few opponents I've had. I crave competition damnit! Anyway, by now anyone reading this should know the drill, so I'm just gonna get on with it.

Borderlands 2
A Road Less Traveled (Complete the mission "The Road To Sanctuary"
Sounds like this is pretty close to where I left off. Shouldn't be too tough.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
A Pirate's Life For Me (Complete memory sequence 3)
Shouldn't be too tough, but I've already mentioned how I want to hold off on later AC games until I finish the early ones. I'll go for it if I have to, otherwise it'll not get done.

Alan Wake
Finders Keepers (You have discovered five of the hidden chests)
The fifth chest is just after the first story achievement in Act 2. I'm just at the start of Act 2, so it may take a little bit of work but shouldn't be too tough. I also love the game, so I may just go for it.

Halo: Reach
Into the Howling Dark (Completed the 7th mission on Normal or harder)
Yeah, this one probably isn't gonna happen any time soon. I just don't wanna put that much time into the game if I can avoid it.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Successes and Failures (Complete DNA Sequence 6)
This is a way into the game, but I may still go for it, if only to start getting a bit closer to actually playing the rest of the AC series.

Bioshock Infinite
The Roguish Type (In the main campaign, use Elizabeth to pick 30 locks)
Yeah, I don't see myself unlocking this any time soon. I haven't played the game at all really, so I have a LONG way to go.

Fable III
Wizard's Revenge (Kill 500 enemies using magic)
Grindy, but something that can be done. I may go for it if I need the points.

Styx: Master of Shadows
Reminiscences (Finish the Introduction)
Shouldn't be too tough if I just remember to save periodically. I really screwed the pooch the last time I tried for a Styx achievement because I didn't think to manually save the game. Can't make that mistake again!

Prince of Persia
Improviser (Use the environment against an enemy)
Sounds simple enough, but it also sounds like there may be issues with it. I might go for it since I like the game, but we'll have to see how things go.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
Paint Your Wagon (Painted any part of your vehicle in Mumbo's Motors)
Sounds like you just fire it up and get the achievement. This should take only a few minutes. I'll probably grab it right after work tonight.
*EDIT* Took about 5 minutes, although I spent a little bit more time getting a few extra achievements afterward. Game's not terrible, but it's definitely no Banjo Kazooie.

Forza Motorsport 2
Level 20 (Reach Level 20 in Career Mode)
Yeah, not gonna happen. Too much work on a game I don't enjoy.

Saints Row IV
About Time! (Completed 'Welcome Back' and got the gang back together at last)
Yeah, this won't happen. I don't have the time to get that far into the game in the next week. Pity, the game is pretty damn sweet!

Nice ruby thingie (Collect 3 ruby artifact parts)
I might do this, but I have to go a little way into the game to get it, so it may not happen. I dunno, we'll see how things go this week.

Lost Planet 2
Complete Episode 6 (Complete all the chapters in Episode 6)
Not bloody likely. Just too much to do in too short a time frame. Working is really killing my gaming time, y'know what I mean?

Dirty Secrets (Finished Chapter Three)
I may go for it. Currently near the start of chapter 2, so I doubt I'll get it, but it's a fun game that I'd like to keep playing. We'll see what happens anyway.

Rayman Legends
Orchestrate this! (Complete the "Orchestral Chaos" painting)
Yeah, I'll probably go for this. It's a fun game in small bursts, so it shouldn't be too tough to get through in that regard.
*EDIT* Got the achievement, and a bunch of others along the way. Definitely worth gunning for!

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die
Mystery Solved (Complete Ep 1)
This shouldn't be too tough, and it's an interesting game. I'll probably shoot to get this done at some point this week for sure!
*EDIT* Got the achievement after a couple hours of play, and got a ton of other cheeves along the way. I may end up finishing this game off as soon as UHH is over, since I'm thoroughly enjoying playing it.

Sunset Overdrive
Roleplay While Roleplaying (Reach Level 99 in Ignatius' epic RPG campaign)
Sounds doable, and it's a fun game. I may give it a whirl, if only for an excuse to fire it up again!
*EDIT* Got it, wasn't tough at all, and I got a couple other achievements too, as well as making some progress toward a few other ones. Can't complain!

Volgarr the Viking
I Will Have My Vengeance! (Defeat the Lizardmen King)
Oh man, I love the game, but I suck at it! I've gotten to the Lizardman King but just haven't been able to pull out the victory. Maybe this time will be my lucky day? I may give it a go one night, but there's no way I can guarantee that I'll pull it off.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Download Complete (Reach Level 50 (Multiplayer Only))
Not bloody likely. I haven't even really started the multiplayer, so this would involve a crapload of grinding to get it. Not happening with my limited schedule.

Summary: Well, it's looking like a nice grab bag of achievements. Some are easy, others are not bloody likely, but for the most part it's a decent list. And it's the third straight time I've had 20 different games on the list to play. So that alone is kinda cool! Anyway, due to my disappointing performance last week, I think I'll set my target at 5. I'm not sure how much gaming time I'll have this week, but there's a couple of quickies that I feel I'll have no trouble getting, so I'm gonna stick with that. As always, best of luck to my opponent Ho1d The Phone, and everyone else in UHH3!
*EDIT* Well, I gotta go to work, and I'll have maybe half an hour when I get home, so odds are I'll be falling short on my goal of 5 cheeves. That said, I got close, and made some progress toward the 5th in AC: Revelations, so I'm not too disappointed by falling slightly short. Since my opponent was a pudding, I'll still be getting the win. So I guess I can't complain.

PermalinkUHH Just for Fun Round #9
Well, here we go again with another round! By this point we all know the drill. My opponent is one ShinsengumiZero, who hopefully provides me with a challenge. But even if he doesn't, I'm gonna try my best! Anyway, here goes the list!

Bioshock 2
Protector (Defend yourself against Lamb's assault in the train station)
This is the second story-based achievement, so it probably won't take too long to snag it. Not sure I WANT to just yet since I haven't finished the first game, but then again, what does that matter anyway? :P

Armored Core: For Answer
Chapter 1 (Complete Chapter 1)
It sounds like there's actually a fair bit of work to do for this, although I may have already done a few of the missions when I bean dove the game. I'll probably try for it if I have some time to do so.

Mafia II
He Who Pays The Barber (Improve the dockworkers' haircuts)
It's a story-related achievement done in Chapter 3. I'm partway through Chapter 2, so it may take a bit of time to get there. This may just be one I hold off on until the weekend so I have some time to do it.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
Good While It Lasted (Complete memory sequence 2)
I really want to avoid doing the AC games out of order. But since this isn't too far in, I may knock it off if I need points. If I don't though, I'll probably just skip it.

Borderlands 2
An Old Flame (Completed the mission "Hunting the Firehawk")
I'm not really sure how far into the game I'll have to get to get this. Needs more research. That said, it may be doable just because I want to play it a bit more. Regardless, it'll be a weekend game, if it even gets played at all.

Sega Bass Fishing
Arcade Winner (You cleared ARCADE MODE)
Alright, so it's not the easiest game, but this achievement may actually be fairly doable. I'll probably fire it up because it's kind of a fun game, not sure I'll get it but it shouldn't be too terrible.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations
My Protege (Have one trainee reach the rank of Master Assassin)
Apparently this should pop after memory sequence 3. This is also the next game I need to play in the AC series, so I'll probably start work on it this weekend. Should only take a couple hours to get there really, but it's an excuse to get started on the next game in the series.

Bioshock Infinite
First Class Ticket (In the Main Campaign, boarded The First Lady)
Again, it's fairly early, but it's a game I haven't bothered to start (despite numerous appearances on my assorted UHH lists). It'll be a weekend play if I need to do it, but I'll probably avoid it if I don't absolutely need points.

Tai O Completed (Complete the Tai O level on any Difficulty setting)
Again, it's fairly early. Achievement pops after beating Chapter 2. No sweat, but it'll take a bit of time to do.

Risen 2: Dark Waters
Beginner (Killed 10 monsters)
Okay, I'm not sure what this entails exactly, but how hard can killing 10 monsters be?
*EDIT* Not very hard, there just wasn't many of them floating around. Just went to the beach and cut down a few monsters there, and the achievement popped. Easy enough.

One Tough Cookie (Meet Ulthane)
Two weeks in a row...I should've taken this out last week! Ah well, maybe I'll get around to it this week. Or not. I dunno, we'll see what happens.

Assassin's Creed III
Daddy Dearest (Complete Present - Stadium)
Yeah, this is pretty far along, and I have a whole other game to play through before putting any serious effort into this. Not gonna happen.

Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2
Dethrone Fang King (Defeated Fang King in the Legend Mode episode "The Stone-Shattering Fist")
Looks like it's only a few stages into a typical Koei hack-n-slash game. I should be able to take it out if I decide to go for it.
*EDIT* I decided to go for it. Took a bit longer than expected, mainly because of a few levels that didn't have achievements tied to them, but it wasn't particularly tough or anything. I actually like this one better than the first Ken's Rage, so there's that too.

Crazy Taxi
Original C-license (You have got C class license in Original mode)
Yeah, sounds like this should only take a few minutes. No sweat!
*EDIT* Well, I'm not very good at this, but I still got it after a couple attempts. Game's alright, but I probably won't play a ton of it in the future. Definitely not my favorite on the DC Collection disc, but not the worst game either.

Sniper (Got 20 headshots kills)
Sounds like you just have to play the game and it'll eventually pop, although you get the sniper rifle fairly early on as well, making that easier to knock off a few. I'll probably try it out, if only to see if the game is as bad as people say it is :P

Saint's Row IV
Poodle Skirt (Completed 'Hello Teacup' and saved Kinzie from a fate worse than death)
I do like the game, but this is significantly farther into the game than I can realistically expect to get this week, so it's likely to be a pass. Pity, I would've enjoyed playing it again for sure!

Nice Gold Thingie (Collect 3 gold artifact parts)
Sounds like I may have to progress a bit to actually get all three of these...and I don't remember liking the game much. Still, might try for it if I need to get points.

Space Channel 5 Part 2
HOOOOO!!!! (Rescue Space Michael)
I remember having this one fairly early in the competition. I also remember failing miserably at getting anywhere near it. I suck balls at this game, and don't see myself getting better in time to pop this by the end of the week.

Two Worlds II
Adventure Part III (Complete Chapter III in the Multiplayer Campaign)
Yeah, not only is this a fair bit of work, but I'd need to find a multiplayer partner to do it. Probably not gonna happen.

Blue Dragon
100 Back Attacks (You completed 100 Back Attacks)
This one I probably won't have much issue unlocking. There are areas I can go where the enemies will all run away, making back attacks easy. Additionally, it gives me an excuse to play the game more. I can't complain about that!

Well, two weeks in a row with 20 unique titles. And no ratios above 2 makes it seem fairly easy, but a good number of these will take more work than I can afford to give this week. I'm gonna go for an average of 1 per day and set the bar at 7 again. I might be able to get more, but I'm not gonna stress over it either. Best of luck to my opponent, ShinsengumiZero, and everyone left in the UHH3 competition!
*EDIT* Well, I was hoping to knock the Darksiders achievement off, but 10 minutes won't be enough time, so unfortunately I'm nowhere near my target, getting a mere 3 points. On the plus side, I got 3 more points than my opponent, who turned out to be another pudding. There seems to be a lot of those going around. So I'll secure the win, even if I didn't really earn it.

PermalinkUHH Just for Fun Round #8
Here we are again with another round of UHH! Had myself an off week last week, point wise anyway, since I had a pudding opponent. Hopefully that doesn't happen this round against my new opponent, Jblacq. I much prefer an actual competition over a gimme round. Anyway, let's break down the new list!

Bioshock Infinite
A Real Pistol (In the Main Campaign, kill 25 enemies with the Broadsider Pistol)
Didn't I get this one before and just never went for it? It should be an easy one though.

Condemned: Criminal Origins
Chapter 3 Completion Award (You finished Chapter 3: Metro Station Platforms)
Should be straightforward enough. I've already finished chapter 1, so I'm 1/3 of the way there.
*EDIT* Knocked this one out in under 2 hours, and got a mess of other achievements along with it. Kinda starting to like the game, which I never really thought I would. I think I'll be keeping it in my queue after UHH ends.

Mercenaries 2: World In Flames
Forever Free (You achieved the maximum P.L.A.V. mood)
I'm not sure how much I'll have to play to get this...not even sure what my current level is at, it's been years since I've played it. Might be doable, but I'd have to check into it.

Aegis Wing
Epic Warrior (Form a four-ship (Epic) formation)
I'd have to check whether I need to boost this or not, but it's possible I can do it with four controllers and very little effort. May be a quickie, or it may need a boosting session.
*EDIT* Nope, it was a quickie. Hardest part was finding batteries for the third and fourth controllers. Took me all of 30 seconds to get it.

One Tough Cookie (Meet Ulthane)
This one shouldn't be too tough, but it will require a bit of progression to be made. I'll probably save it for one of my weekend play days so I can progress steadily.

UFC Undisputed 2009
Original Fighter (Create A Fighter and use the CAF in Exhibition or Xbox LIVE)
I'm honestly surprised this hasn't already been done. Probably one of the first I'll pop since it really shouldn't take too long.
*EDIT* Well that was pretty damn easy. Already had a CAF made, just had to fight with him once. Took about 5 minutes to pop.

Mass Effect 3
Mail Slot (Kill 10 Guardians with headshots from the front while their shields are raised)
Bad news: I don't think I have a save slot near this. Good news: It's relatively early on, so I may be able to rush through to the spot on a new save and grind these out with minimal effort.

Dragon Age: Origins
Hero of Redcliff (Completed "The Arl of Redcliff")
A story progression achievement in a game I have been hoping to get the chance to fire up again. I'll probably go for this, even if it may take me a while to get there.
*EDIT* Yeah, this took a few hours, but I got several other cheeves en route to it, so it was definitely a worthwhile trip. Also, since I thoroughly enjoy the game, there was no real downside to knocking this off!

Bionic Commando
Two Hit Wonder (Complete "Two Hit Wonder" challenge)
I'll have to progress to Act I Chapter 2 to get this, but on the plus side I'll be able to snag plenty of other achievements along the way. Might be worth shooting for at some point.

Bulldog Specialist (You have accumulated 50 kills with the Bulldog)
It's the first gun of the game, and I can grind it out if I choose. I'll probably just play the game for a bit and focus on the kills. Shouldn't be terribly tough to get.
*EDIT* This really didn't take all that much effort. Got a few achievements along the way as well. Took roughly an hour. Game's okay...some cool ideas, but still has a "generic shooter" feel to it.

Kung Fu Panda
Panda Stumble Warrior (Obtained a Hit Chain of 5 or higher using only Panda Stumble)
Apparently I've already saved the game at the best spot to do this, so that's a plus. Just a matter of firing it up and doing it.
*EDIT* Well, that took all of 2 minutes. And since I was doing it anyway, I just knocked off the achievement for a 60 second Panda Stumble at the same time. 2 achievements for a minimal amount of work...yeah, I'll take that :)

Rainbow Six Vegas
Pistoleer (Kill 150 terrorists using only a Pistol)
Pretty straightforward, but I'm not sure I'll go for this one. We'll see how I feel.

Saint's Row
Colombian Made (Took over Los Carnales territory)
Another straightforward progression achievement, but it WILL take some time to do. I may go for it on my weekend, but I'm not certain of that just yet. I do like the game though, so there IS that :P

Roadkill King (Mow down and massacre 175 gang members while driving)
This honestly shouldn't be too tough. I know I would've done a few of these at some point already, so it's just a matter of firing it up, driving around and running down gang bangers until it pops.
*EDIT* Just as I thought. Drive around, smoosh some baddies, and achievement unlocked. Took me about 20 minutes to knock this one off. Wish they were all so damn easy :P

The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition
Marooned Everyone (Re-marooned Herman Toothrot and marooned Carla, Otis and Meathook on Monkey Island)
I know I've already got the ending for sinking my ship, so I just need to reload that save, avoid sinking the ship, and then finishing the rest of the game off. Shouldn't be too tough to do, maybe an hour or two to get it done.
*EDIT* My final achievement of the round, and it only took an hour or so to pound it out. No sweat!

Dark Souls
Defeat Bed of Chaos (Defeat the Soul Lord Bed of Chaos)
Man, I keep getting Dark Souls achievements, and I just don't see any of them happening based on where I am and how bad I am at it. This one probably won't happen.

NHL 13
Raise the Cup (Play and win the Stanley Cup in Be A Pro with a Created Pro)
Well, I'm currently sitting in junior and have a LONG way to go to even finish the Memorial Cup, nevermind getting drafted. So yeah, not happening.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Download Complete (Reach Level 50 (Multiplayer Only))
This is both too time consuming and too reliant on others to conceivably be done this week, so I'll probably be skipping it.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game
Employee of the Month (Be top earner in each Xbox LIVE job type)
Yeah, I doubt this one is gonna happen. First I'd have to be lucky enough to not be glitched out of it. And THEN I'd have to be lucky enough to find a group to knock this out in a reasonable amount of time. Just plain not happening.

NHL 12
PP Powerhouse (Have 30 PP goals in 2 different NHL Be A Pro seasons with a created Pro on Pro difficulty or higher)
For the same reason I won't get the NHL 13 achievement, I will likely not be getting this one. I'm still floating in Junior and am a long way from even having ONE pro season, nevermind two. Plus I play as a defenseman, so power play goals are gonna be tough to get anyway. So yeah, not likely.

Well shit, this is the first week of UHH that I have 20 different games on my list! I can't believe there isn't so much as a single repeat here! AMAZING! Anyway, I'm thinking that, given my time constraints and the relative difficulty of some of these that I will be happy to get at least 7 points. I'm not even certain I can get that many, but I think that's a nice number to shoot for. Best of luck to my opponent, and to everyone still competing!
*EDIT* Since the odds of me getting another achievement in half an hour are slim to none, I'm calling it done. I exceeded my expectations this round, hitting 8 achievements despite my opponent ending up being a pudding this round. Kinda getting tired of the lack of opposition, but all told I'm happy with my overall results to this point. I've found a bunch of games that I want to play more once UHH is done, many of which I never actually thought I'd enjoy when I bean dove them.

PermalinkUHH Just for Fun Round #7
Here we go with another list! I may have been knocked out of the main tournament, but I'm still earning points on the JFF leaderboard, so I might as well keep these breakdowns coming! Normally I'd mention my opponent, but it seems I won't really have one this round. I looked up his progress and he's unlocked a grand total of one achievement through the entire competition, so it looks like I'll be facing yet another pudding. Ah well, that won't stop me from trying to climb the leaderboard! So let's take a look at the list:

To Move A Mountain (Collect the Earthcaller)
Elemental Thief (Collect the Crossblade)
According to the walkthrough, I should be fairly close to knocking off To Move A Mountain, so that's entirely doable. Elemental Thief will require a fair bit of progress to unlock though, and given that my time is fairly limited, I may or may not go for it. I should be able to get one of the two with minimal effort though.
*EDIT* Knocked off To Move A Mountain. Only took about 20 minutes or so. And most of that was just trying to relearn the controls. Pretty easy overall.

Grenadier (You have killed 2 enemies with one grenade)
Planet Savior (You have killed 250 enemies)
Both of these should be fairly straightforward. I'm sure Grenadier will pop easily, and Planet Savior will apparently come naturally with play, so unless enemies are few and far between, I should have no problem with these if I go for them.

Bioshock Infinite
A Real Pistol (In the Main Campaign, kill 25 enemies with the Broadsider Pistol)
Shock Tactics (Retrieve Shock Jockey)
The pistol achievement should be fairly straightforward. Just gotta progress the story far enough to get the pistol, which apparently isn't terribly far from the start. Shock Tactics however, that may take some doing. Sounds like it's a fair way through the game, so I probably won't have time to knock that one off.

Far Cry 3
Unheard (Liberate an outpost without triggering an alarm)
Can be tricky, but it shouldn't be TOO tough. I hope. At least the game is fun...I may go for this just to play it again.

Blades of Time
Coral Dash (Get the ability to dash to corals)
Fairly early on, so it should be doable without much effort. I'll probably knock this one out quickly.
*EDIT* Yeah, I was right, it only took around half an hour or so. Got a couple other achievements on the way too, and the game is halfway decent. Kinda look forward to playing more of it!

Borderlands 2
An Old Flame (Completed the mission "Hunting The Firehawk")
An unmissable story achievement...just not sure how far along I have to go to get to it. Regardless, I may knock it out if I find time.

All Aboard (Complete chapters 2, 3, 4 and 5 on normal or hard difficulty)
Gaggle of Guidance (Use the Swarm's multi-target lock-on firing mode to kill 3 UAV drones with one volley)
I'd have to check the difficulty I played on to see how far into the game I am. If I'm already on Normal or Hard, I should be able to knock the first one off with minimal effort. However, if for some reason I was playing on Easy, I'd have to start from scratch, so given my time constraints, whether I knock that one off or not is determined by what difficulty I'm on. The second one is apparently fairly easy on Chapter 10, but I'm not sure I wanna progress the game that far (unless I'm on Easy and have progressed that far already). So odds are I will only get one of these at most, and which one depends on what I've already done previously.

Fallout 3
Picking up the Trail (Completed "Picking up the Trail")
Probably not happening. There's quite a bit of story between where I left off and where this pops, and I just don't see myself having time for this.

On Instinct (Complete the Mother Boss Battle)
Another one that's fairly far into the story relative to where I left off. Probably not gonna bother.

Blue Dragon
Pulled in the Flying Fortress (???)
Summoned Shu's Shadow (???)
I've wanted to fire this one up for a bit now, and just never got around to it. These are simple progression achievements...unfortunately they're fairly far into the story, so much so that I doubt I'd be able to get them done. The first is at the end of the first disc, and the second is all the way at the start of the third disc. And me, I have barely touched the game, as it was a bean dive title. So yeah, I don't see these ones happening either.

Dark Souls
Ring the Bell (Undead Church) (Ring Bell of Awakening at Undead Church)
Reach Anor Londo (Arrive in Anor Londo)
Art of Abysswalking (Acquire the Art of Abysswalking)
Covenant: Princess's Guard (Discover Princess's Guard covenant)
Holy crap, FOUR achievements in Dark Souls?!?!? Holy hell! But yeah, given how much time I spent trying to get past the spot I'm currently at and failing outright, I don't see myself landing ANY of these anytime soon. It's a shame, I do like the game, but given my current time constraints, I doubt I'd be able to get any of these over the course of the next week.

Mega Man Legacy Collection
Bronze x10 (Earn 10 bronze medals by completing Challenges)
I actually think this will be fairly doable despite the ratio. I'll probably install this tonight and try for it sometime during the week.

Oh man, what a list! There's a few reasonably simple achievements, but damn there's a LOT of time sinks, at a time when I just don't have the time to sink. I honestly don't see myself getting too many achievements this week because of that. I think I'll be happy if I can cross off 5 or 6 of them, although I'll definitely be trying to get a few more. We'll see what happens anyway.
*EDIT* Well, I stopped at 2...figured I secured the win so I'd just play a time sink and see where I'd get with it. Blue Dragon is a freakin' AWESOME game BTW. Was hoping to finish the first disc, but never quite got there. Ah well, what can ya do. On to the next round!
